Outer Sunset finest Thai Restaurant serving San Francisco - We use fresh authentic Thai ingredients in a range of exquisite dishes served by our charming and attentive staff.
Freshly selected meats and vegetables are a daily delight for our chefs. We love cooking amazing meals with the finest fresh ingredients every day.
We have created a menu that represents the true authenticity of our beloved home country of Thailand and invite you all to experience our Thai Food dishes in a relaxed and friendly restaurant.
My sister and I stopped to grab some Thai food to go - thought we would give this place a try after seeing some of the photos & reviews.
When we got home, we opened two dishes and chopsticks only to find bugs. All I know is that we opened the chopsticks and the food at the same time we saw the bugs crawling around. Not sure in what order the bugs appeared but suffice to say it came from the restaurant.
We called this restaurant immediately, spoke with a woman on the phone. Initially, they refused to do anything about it because they believed it was found in the chopsticks not in the food and wasn’t their responsibility. (Which they gave us both the food and chopsticks, also that’s pretty gross health standards in my opinion) I told them we found bugs both in the dishes and chopsticks, the woman on the phone didn’t believe me. She refused to issue a refund and only offered to re-make the food if we came down there to show them the bugs in the food because she said her boss won’t let her do anything without proof. They were emphasizing that we need to provide proof.
I live nearby so we came back prepared with the bug filled food, only to be met with a rude and aggressive waitress. I felt like she was rushing to get us out as soon as we entered, she had the re-made food ready and told us to take the food and said, “Yea sorry just tell me what the problem is”. Um, ok.
We showed her the first dish that had a dead bug (that we killed) in it, she picked it up with her hand and laughed. She said “that’s not a bug that’s just the dish”. So then we showed her the second dish and then the chopsticks - there were still live bugs moving in the food and in the chopsticks. Then she said, “Oh, okay then yea.” She offered no apology, just kind of shrugged. At that point, my sister doesn’t want to eat the re-made food - neither did I. We asked for a refund, the waitress said they can’t do that because it’s a long process to get the credit card transaction reversed. We ask for a cash refund she said she can’t do that either.
In the end, they only offered to remake one dish and give us three drinks to cover the second dish. Whatever, we end up taking it. We can drink the drinks and just donate the food to someone on the street.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, in fact take this as a warning - do not come here!
Small but clean restaurant with "hole-in-the-wall" feel was not very busy when we came for lunch. We ordered the hot tea, basil fried rice with shrimp, and pad eggplant with tofu over rice. The tea was good and the food was ready pretty quickly. The eggplant dish was delicious; the fried rice had good flavor but the rice was a little too dry, have had better at other restaurants. If I'm in the city and craving Thai food, I'd eat here again.
We decided to try this new thai restaurant with high hope based on the review .. Overall , most dishes we ordered were pretty salty , maybe they put too much fish sauce .
After the meal there, we were up pretty much all night because we were so thirsty, needing to drink water lol. As much as I wanted like this place, we probably won’t come back here as there are so many other Thai restaurants we have to explore !
Stopped by here for dinner after work for a pad thai craving. It was empty on a Friday night, but a lot of take out orders were placed. Inside was clean and spacious with a good amount of tables. We ordered the thai fish cakes, green curry w pork, pad thai w chicken, and eggplant w tofu. The food came out quickly. The food was cooked perfectly. Everything was delicious with generous portion sizes. Loved the variety of items in the green curry. We never tried thai fish cakes but they were a great appetizer, especially with the sauce. Can’t wait to come back again.
I give this place a 2nd try because last time I tried it was almost closing time. Yet the result is still the same. Any dishes that are sour will be very sour to my taste (I love spicy and sour), for ex: papaya salad, tom yum. Other than that, any dishes not sour taste good., like pad thai or fried rice. Anyway, because
Good Pad Thai, they accommodate all substitution requests, service is very good.
Mango rice dessert is recommended as are the soups & spring rolls. They’re open after 10pm too which is a minor miracle for a decent restaurant in the Sunset district
Classic pad thai is hard to come by these days! Appetizers, soup and Thai tea are also yum, and the discount promotion for delivery was great.

Wonderful food, great service, must visit place .
Every time I am in San Francisco, I come to this place no matter what. Their food is not close to Thai but real Thai food according to my experience. That’s the reason I can’t miss since I am a Thai food lover. Other thing is their opening hours, they are always open.
And service is really good, staff is humble and polite.

Wow, what a treat! We had such delicious meals here tonight! The service was really good & we will definitely be back! :)
Best Pad Thai we've had. The sauce is tangy, yum!
Super yummy! Good service, good atmosphere. My boyfriend thought their yellow curry was the best he's had in two years. Loved their cucumber salad, massaman curry and panang curry. The hot tea is yummy as well! Really loved this place

Tried for the first time and will be back. 5/5

Thai Chicken Noodle Soup had good flavor, but the portion was quite small for the price and I may have counted 5 pieces of scallion and a meager scattering of bean sprouts.
I got pad Thai to go and they just gave me mostly beans sprouts! I was so disappointed for what I pay to get just that, I will never go back also the flavor was off!!! So upsetting
Pretty upset right now, been here twice dine in but first time taking to go. Paid the same amount of money, but the portion is 2x smaller! Don’t even make sense…Just drank the soup and so salty, don’t know what’s going on but so disappointed.
Only thing great is the front desk, they were always nice
I've stopped by twice now. First I had the Duck Curry and since I don't eat rice I had a Salad. Crazy delicious! The Duck was cooked perfectly, the Curry was out of this world and even the Salad was impressive. I couldn't wait to go back. This time I had the Green Curry with Pork and a Salad. They didn't disappoint! Phenomenal and I can't wait to go back.

great vibe with nice natural light. i got the pad see ewe with shrimp which was amazing. great balance of noodles, shrimp, vegetables, and egg, and had a delicious sauce. my dad got green curry with chicken and he also loved it. generous portions for low prices, and we had a friendly waiter. would recommend!
the only thing i’d say is maybe to not have the tvs playing those troom troom-style life-hack videos 😅
Food is just okay; lots of room for improvement.
I got the pad pirk khing which is supposed to be green beans with tofu and spicy red curry with brown rice. What I got was a tiny portion of green beans a ton of green bell peppers 🤮 and some tofu in big chunks that don’t match the size of the rest of the ingredients the green beans are under cooked as are the peppers the rice is good and so is the sauce but I will not be returning to this place any time soon.
Another Thai place in Sunset. Very nice and friendly people running the restaurant. Food is good too. Pad Thai had a different taste than what we are used to, noodles were thinner and had more veggies. Pad Kee Mow beef was flavorful but little oily. Good Egg Rolls. Portions were on the smaller side. Will look forward to trying other items soon.
Eggplant Pad with Chicken was delicious! Warm and lightly spiced. Perfect on a cold, wet winter afternoon. Price is on point. Service was fast and pleasant. Price is on point. Busy street but nice to close the door and not hear it. Small neighbrhood spot. Will definitely go back to try more dishes.
Fantastic!
Seriously, best Thai place I’ve been to in the city. We got the pad thai and pad pak, both of which hit the spot. My girlfriend is a very picky eater, and they gladly customized her dish to meet her allergenic needs.
The service was lightning quick (like, 10 minutes from ordering to eating), the prices were very reasonable (both dishes for under $30 before tip), and the atmosphere is just fine for a little lunch spot. Will be coming back again some day!
Good food and price.
This place is great and just what SF needs, amazing food at a reasonable price. Definitely worth checking out!
In my opinion this is the best Thai place in the Sunset / Inner Sunset.
The service is great, and the food is exceptional. Additionally, the prices are reasonable. All three of these reasons make it the best in the neighborhood.
Great combo beef boat noodles and Thai iced tea!
Popped in for a duck noodle soup and Tom yum fix. It was really good and authentic. Will definitely come back.
Wasn't expecting much, just a typical Thai noodle spot. Ended up being blown away with a refreshing take on my usual order, flat noodles w/ beef. This was my all time favorite, so now I'm hooked. My compliments to the chef(s) who, from what I gather, have been at this a long long time.
Solid take out experience. We ordered the green Thai curry with chicken as well as the pad eggplant with tofu. We both enjoyed our dishes! The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of five is because there were a ridiculous amount of flies in the restaurant 😬 I wouldn’t eat in. Also, to be fair it was during the heat wave in SF so there were likely more bugs for that reason.
Hidden gem.
Had panang curry with rice and it was SO delicious
Service was super good
I don’t recommend the Pad Thai, but I do really like the Pad Kee Mao, and red and yellow curries.
Awesome food! I got the green curry and loved it. It was so good we ended up ordering it from doordash again today
Amazing food here, highly recommend! We got the special 2 and 3 - chicken over fried rice with a sweet and sour sauce, and duck over rice with Yao Choy.
More people should eat here! Really good food and big portions. Great service too!
4.5 Food, 5 Service, 4 Portions; Curries and soup were flavorful. Ingredients were fresh. Spiciness turned down to almost nonexistence. Overall too sweet. Pad Kee Mao not spicy at all. Larb requested as spicy but not at all. Kids liked the coconut flavored sticky rice. Most dishes filled the to go container and were good portions except the noodles. Everything came hot and they accommodated special requests like vinegar jalapeños. $115 (7 dishes)
So delicious! Loved the basil tofu 😍
Such a nice lady working at the front. I was picking up food to go on my bike and she wrapped my box in saran wrap so it wouldn’t leak without me even asking. Also got me a water while I was waiting without me asking. So thoughtful! Great food as well, just I was looking for
Dropped by here for lunch. The space is clean, the food is tasty and authentic, service is fast, pricing is reasonable, overall highly recommended.
FOOD: 5/5
We ordered duck noodle. You can customize your noodle, so this part is a plus for me since I can change selection depending on my mood lol. Bowl was large. Tasted a little bit sweet but that can be rectified with a little lemon.
SERVICE: 5/5
Food came out within 10 minutes of ordering. Piping hot!
LOCATION: 4/5
Can be difficult to find parking during busy hours.
Ordered the special fried chicken over fried rice and Pad Thai. The fried chicken was nicely fried, and the fried rice was very flavorful.
The Pad Thai was a nice portion with all ingredients separated. I mixed it up really well before eating. Very flavorful.
I'll be back to try other items!
I order a lot of take out from this place. Its very quick and delisted. Their Pad Thai is very tasty. Recommend this place for a good Thai food
Thai food with a kick! Yet another addition to Inner Sunset that brings out the crowds looking for places to choose from for delightful Asian cuisine. Bangkok House is a brand new place for Thai food in the area - We ordered the classic Thai Basil fried rice and my wife got the house special duck. Just the right amount of spiciness in my fried rice, and my wife enjoyed the duck too! Large portions and great to share a couple of entrees between friends.
One of the best thai food places in the city and it's hard to impress me, because I grew up eating it and can make it.
Very good food.. simple decor.
Support local business in this trying times! Authentic Thai food! We will sure to be back for more!
Great spicy chicken basil dish, the pad kraw prow, and also really like their curry puff. Looking forward to trying more of their dishes.
Delicious food and friendly staff! I've had great experiences for both take-out and dine-in. Guay Tiew Lord, pictured here, is a flavorful seafood and noodle dish that many places don't have on the menu. Their Rad Na is also outstanding, and is served over stir-fried rice noodles with great hot wok taste.
Warning: pumpkin curry is spicy! I’d say a solid 5/10 spice level that I wasn’t expecting, but the flavor was good and had a decent amount of pumpkin, chicken, and veggies. Roti was small but flaky, probably won’t order again. Will try the mango sticky rice and noodles next time.
So delicious!!! We all loved our dishes.
Pad Thai was very good!
I spent time in Thailand and no Pad Thai has compared. Today was close if not better in my opinion.
I took the train home and it took over 40 minutes.
I arrived home and the noodles were still warm/hot and not clumped together.
I was impressed how the flavor was consistent even though there was variety in ingredients.
The crunchy vegetables (spring beans?) at the end were a welcome crunch.
Iced Thai coffee was delicious.
I would recommend it and I plan on going back.
Kind front counter and happy humble atmosphere
5 star.
Thank you for the pad Thai!
I looked forward to trying their som tum pu plara but it was super salty and pretty soggy since the papaya was thinly shredded.
I may be back to try the boat noodles. I was just hoping to have a more authentic Thai place close to me but I don't think this is it. (The TL still has the best and most authentic Thai food in SF!)
Everyone's palate and standards are different though so I would still encourage others to try this place out. The people who run it are super nice and do provide great customer service.
Very tasty Thai food. We’ve gone every week for the past few weeks and have not been disappointed. Our favorites are the green papaya salad and stir fried flat noodles.
This place offers very tasty Thai food. All the dishes my family and I tried were so yummy and tasted quite authentic. We'll be back to support the business for sure!
Its sunday ..i have been visiting this store for 5 days ..amazing food to try ..i had crab fried rice many day connecting non of restaurant could compare ..i recommend it and today i had basil chicken with fries egg...the food is good taste and good quality . ..good portion resonnable price ..i m happy this restaurant is my favorite restaurant now .....luck neibourhood im from east side but i like to come here sunset is my ex neibourhood..suggest to try u will like them .
Wonderful family business with excellent food. I'm glad they are here and it will be a new regular dinner place for me and my wife.
Small Warming Place. Friendly Staff. Delicious Food. On My List To Return When Back In Town.
Best Thai I have ever had.
