Diner Review №4

Best tom yum soup we've ever had. Also try the half Moon ton they are simply amazing, but that soup is the absolute best.

Diner Review №5

Best Thai food in pb hands down! Really sweet staff, authentic amazing food. Great vibe inside as well

Diner Review №6

Не рекомендую. Небольшой заказ нужно ждать 30 минут.

Diner Review №7

4.5 stars- the food was delicious and it was so cute in there! We loved the red & yellow curries. The orange chicken was overall good but could have been crispy. The service was alright nothing to write home about and there was some interesting song choices.

Diner Review №8

Love this Thai place! It's the only one we go to in PB. Always, good food, nice service, and table. Pad Thai, and their curry's are great.

Diner Review №9

I have lived in PB for 6 years and since trying The Orient some time ago, I borderline refuse to eat at any other Thai restaurant. This charming little spot is nestled in the corner of a strip of businesses on Fanuel and Garnett. Indoors and out are both extremely good vibes but it only seats a few groups so plan accordingly. This makes it even better for take out! I will often call in and pick up food on my way home. Some of my favorites are: pad Thai, drunken noodle, yellow curry, pad see ew, and the Tom Yum soup is the BEST you will ever have!! I haven’t had a dish here I wasn’t impressed by - Can’t rave enough

Diner Review №10

My go to take out spot for Thai Food in PB.
All curries are fantastic. I usually go for the red curry with chicken which is extremely flavorful and fresh.
The staff is always friendly!

Diner Review №11

Food isn’t worth the price for wonton soup to have only 5 wontons and two strips of chicken save money if you want quality

Diner Review №12

Diner Review №13

Diner Review №14

Food is good and I like how they decorated the restaurant

Diner Review №15

Cute hole in the wall. Open later than most other restaurants in PB. They were very nice to customize a dish vegan for me. The food was very good. My husband loved the fried bananas and coconut ice cream.

Diner Review №16

Some of the best pad see ew I've ever had. Delicious peanut sauce too.

Diner Review №17

Diner Review №18

My favorite tai place on earth! Get the yellow curry and the chicken appetizer

Diner Review №19

Delicious Larb salad! Definitely coming back

Diner Review №20

Diner Review №21

Diner Review №22

Great flavor! Our favorite Thai spot in PB. Awesome green curry and pad see ew.

Diner Review №23

Diner Review №24

Been going here for years. Have brought my parents here whenever they visit and they were in town. We always love it. Huge portions really full of flavor. Highly recommended.

Diner Review №25

Was searching for vegan/ gluten-free options, and this little gem popped up. It is tucked into a corner of a small strip mall. It is very cozy inside. They do have limited availability of parking.

I had the Tom Yum with tofu and the Winter Roll. Our server must have known that I like spicy food. She brought the extra hot pepper selection with the soup without being prompted.

Diner Review №26

Amazing thai food, so many vegetarian options

Diner Review №27

Best tom kha in PB hands down

Diner Review №28

Diner Review №29

Great food. Do be careful of what level spice you select as the food is 🔥 FIRE.

Diner Review №30

All the dishes we try were delicious. The prices are affordable. The service was good also. Love all the decorations and the garden was my favorite. We are coming back for sure. I loved all of it from the food to the service to the vibe and the decoración. Please give it a try you would not regret it.

Diner Review №32

Delicious food, cozy atmosphere and great service! Highly recommend.

Diner Review №33

It was my 1st time eating here. I loved it. The food was delicious and the service was great. I can't wait to come back.

Diner Review №34

Amazing food! Great service! Topical decor. LOVED every part of this place! I was staying for a conference. Went to the restaurant twice!! Brought more friends the second time. Thank you!! Thank you!!

Diner Review №35

Delicious Thai, try the three brothers!

Diner Review №36

Amazing venue, beautiful atmosphere and decor.
Service was extremely slow and food was a let down, as portions were quite small for the above average price. We ordered 2 appetizers, fresh spring rolls and the fried wings. Not very busy at the time I went, front end staff seemed a bit disorganized and not that cohesive ( lots of yelling and walking in and out)

Diner Review №37

Have it a third try with very simple specific instructions !

Failed in 2 requests .

Boom done .

Diner Review №38

The service was great and the place is nicely decorated. The food was ok, but it was very small portions for some appetizers and it was overpriced, even for a touristy spot like PB.

Diner Review №39

This place was delicious!! I am very mad I forgot what we ordered but it was so delicious! Tons of fresh garlic and fresh veggies. I have been wanting to come to this place for years, sad it took me this long. I will definitely be back!

Diner Review №40

Really yummy pad Thai and drunken noodles. The food was quick to come out and great service for only having one server too! Only down fall for me personally was some of the classic apps I look for weren’t on the menu like fresh rolls and the crab Rangoon’s.

Diner Review №41

Just had the tastiest Tom Kha soup, delicious pad Thai, and fresh mango sticky rice. I recommend their delicious Thai too!

Diner Review №42

Diner Review №43

Diner Review №44

Great experience. Nice flavors

Diner Review №45

Stumbled upon this place on a walk and figured I’d give it a chance. It is quaint and beautifully designed. I feel like I’m in Thailand. The dishes my fiancé and I ordered was beyond delicious. Best Thai food in San Diego and vegan friendly! Food is affordable and very good, will be coming here more often!

Diner Review №46

Very good food at a good price. I didn’t take any pictures unfortunately but it looked very appetizing, and the taste was just as great as the appearance. A friend and I went to this restaurant, we had Tom Kha, Pad Krapao Muu (Pork), Pad Thai Gai (Chicken), I got a sweet Thai Tea and we got an order of Mango Sticky Rice. All of these dishes were very good. Having lived in Thailand a majority of last year, I am pretty well versed with thai cuisine and this certainly took me back to my time there so in my opinion, if you are looking for a good thai restaurant…..this would be a good choice. The staff was very friendly and hospitable. Mim was the person who greeted us and who we had the pleasure of speaking to for all of our needs today, she was very friendly, attentive and provided service with a friendly thai smile.

It’s good to note that the restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating. My friend takes her dog everywhere and this place was able to accommodate us with the outdoor seating option. The restroom is very clean and well maintained and the only real downfall to this place is a shortage of parking as it shares a small lot with the Taco shop and 7 Eleven. Excellent meal today. I would certainly return if I am in the area.

Diner Review №47

Nice cozy and friendly spot, very friendly staff, but, it ended there, I ordered yellow curry pork dish, first there was hardly any pork, and whatever there was , was very dry, and I mean dry, for $16.71 it was not worth it, it will be a very long time before I go back!

Diner Review №48

Very well decorated place. Nice atmosphere. Small dining room and a nice patio, but a little bit cold this time of the year. Nice waitress with a very attentive attitude. Very good food. Excellent fried Thai rice. The kitchen was finishing some plates not in the right order. It didn’t bother us but some people don’t like to see that.

Diner Review №49

Solid and consistently good Thai food. I’m a fan of the Pad Thai and the Pineapple Fried Rice. Been coming here for years.

Diner Review №50

The food was amazing!

Diner Review №51

Diner Review №52

Diner Review №53

If you are looking for authentic thai food, look no further! The best Thai food in PB hands down! And the interior of the restaurant is realy cute as well.

Diner Review №54

This restaurant has nothing for me to call home about. They have some kind of wonton with cream cheese and avocado it was okay. I also had the chicken wonton soup it was blah... I think I think these people cater to tourists. Sad...

Diner Review №55

Today was my first time eating here. Upon arriving Mim, or ming did not greet us, and was very aggressive with service. She threw the menus on top of our hands and didn't say a word.
She would ask tables around us if everything was good or if needed help with anything and didn't even look in my tables direction. In the middle of eating, she put the check on the table and walked away without saying a word. Needles to say, there was no tip. When were leaving, the only reason she said anything was because we asked if the owner was on the location. I'm not a fan of writing bad reviews especially since I liked the food but bad service is one thing, and being treated differently because of the color of my skin. I'm not sure I'll eat here again, just Incase something was done to my food.

Diner Review №56

This place is in the parking lot of the 7eleven in PB across from Wells Fargo…If you are lucky enough to find it, you will be amazed. Outstanding Thai!!

Diner Review №57

Diner Review №58

They have the best fried rice in town. The only place I've had better fried rice was up in San Francisco. This place is excellent, fast, friendly and delicious. Great takeout.

Diner Review №59

We are big Thai food fans and we came here while visiting from out of state. I’ve had a lot of Thai food and this is the best I’ve had! Loved the pineapple fried rice and the twisted brother dish. Very nice staff and great ambiance!

Diner Review №60

Loved the food here!! Every dish we had was so delicious. Our favorites were the pineapple rice, the pad Thai, twisted brothers shrimp and chicken dish and the yellow curry.

Diner Review №61

Okay

Diner Review №62

Our to go order for 12 people was immaculately prepared with all the right containers, utensils, sauces, and napkins. And the best part, the food was absolutely delicious! The fried spring rolls were some of the best I’ve had and the panang curry was fantastic.

Highly suggest you call your order in instead of ordering online. Not only was it much faster, but it was cheaper too. Love this place and can’t wait to go back!

Diner Review №63

Best Pineapple Fried Rice ever!!!

Diner Review №64

Had the pad see ew and spicy fried rice. As a starter we ordered the winter rolls and Thai iced tea as well as iced tea.
Everything was good but not the best I had in San Diego.
Their patio is nice.

Diner Review №65

Ordered the Pad See Ew with tofu which is my go to favorite. Every place seems to have their own version but this one was probably the best I've had. All the flavor but very light. So delicious!

Diner Review №66

The inside and outside of this restaurant is beautiful. One of the most prettiest places I've ever eaten at!
Their curry was extremely flavorful, authentic, and creamy. Definitely a must-try for anyone that likes Thai food!!

Diner Review №67

We had veggie winter rolls, khow Soi and mango sticky rice… all were very tasty! Probably the best Khao Soi we’ve had outside of Thailand! Very good service!

Diner Review №68

Diner Review №69

Diner Review №70

SQUID CURRY RICE AND PAD SE EW was excellent

Diner Review №71

Service was rude and worst curry I’ve ever had in my life

Diner Review №72

This place is a secret hide away with amazingly authentic Thai food.

We have a knack for finding off the beaten path spots with traditional (read fantastic) dishes. This one might just rank top for Thai in SD.

Located next to a yoga spot, and a Taco shop, sharing a parking lot with 7-11, you would not see this place as the Mecca it is. (Did you see there is a parking lot, in PB!?! It's unheard of!)
But since you got this far in my review, you trust me right?! So yes, next to a convenience store but once you walk thru the front entrance you are transported via all the senses to a quaint , family run restaurant deep in the heart of bustling streets of Thailand.

The decor is ornate and purposeful. A mix of quirky English signage and Thai language, buddhas and shrines adorn the walls. Deep rich colors, shiny bits mixed with natural wood decor, it is truly eye catching.

We eat a lot of Thai food, so we felt like we knew what to expect. But our goal in 2022 is to branch out of our typical choices, so while we were still at Thai, we forced ourselves to order something different than our standard fair. We were SO GLAD we did!

The rice paper wraps were soft and pliable, obviously made fresh! Our first entree was the Panang Curry with chicken, it was delicate and delish! I literally drank the sauce like soup! Added the Hot Basil with beef, which was over the top great. Fresh crunch on the veggies, perfect cut on the meat, and overall flavor was deep and rich without being too heavy.

We had to wrap with the mango sticky rice, because, did you even go to Thai food is you didn't order the sticky rice!?!
The mangos were perfect, not overly ripe but sweet, my only suggestion was to use less sticky rice ;) but it's not really a bad thing to get a giant portion of that yummy gooey sweetness!

This place is a gem, a perfect little spot. Give it a try, you won't be sorry!

Pro tip: eat at the restaurant! they seem to be using delivery services which overly complicate their ordering system. Other reviews mention similar issues but in person, the customer service was fantastic!

Diner Review №73

Great Curry

Diner Review №74

Drunken Noodle was excellent!!! Perfect amount of spice and the staff was super sweet and attentive!

Diner Review №75

Second time here. Sat out side both times. First time pad Thai and yellow curry both good. Today drunken noodles & Three Amigos. Very good as well. FYI there were no peanuts in the drunken noodles. I saw a complaint about that. Tried them out of curiosity. New favorite. Staff wears masks and very courteous and attentive. We’ll be back!

Diner Review №76

Really tasty food, quick prep and very polite staff

Diner Review №77

Tom yum soup is a must try.

Disappointed with Spicy fried rice , it is not at all spicy and has pungent oil smell.

Diner Review №78

Best in San Diego

Diner Review №79

Highly recommend ordering their Khao Soi and papaya salad, SO GOOD.

Diner Review №80

Diner Review №81

We went to the Orient Thai Cafe with great expectations. The food was alright but nothing special. Small portions and very little add-ons like vegetables. Splitting the bill was an utter mess. They gave us unfriendly, ungrateful vibes represented in the 2 out of 5 stars. Many better spots in PB to dine in.

Diner Review №96

Let me first start by saying: I am known to go around the world just for good food; I'd willingly drive 100 miles for the best food. In this case, it is not too far from where I live. This is one of the best Thai restaurants in San Deigo. I always love their food and service. I usually start with the Winter Rolls and Chicken Satay. The winter rolls are super fresh, and the peanut sauce is freaking amazing. The Chicken Satay has a really succulent flavor; goes well with the peanut sauce and the chutney. I usually get the Pad Thai, Garlic & Pepper Chicken, or the Panang Curry. The portions are generous, the food is hot and fresh, and very flavorful. The desserts are a must! The Mango with Sweet Sticky Rice and the Fried Banana are amazing. I always come ready to eat to this restaurant. I eat here all the time, and the staff is really friendly. Cozy Interior with Outdoor Seating available. You must come and try your new favorite Thai place.

Diner Review №97

First time coming to this restaurant. It's a small restaurant close to pacific beach, San Diego CA 5 minutes drive. The restaurant itself clean and very oriented. Like I'm at Thailand. Love the food it reminds me of Indo Javanese food have a little bit sweet yet spicy. We'll definitely coming back here.

Diner Review №98

Diner Review №105

Diner Review №107

Food was ok. Pad Thai and chicken satay were both very dry. I did order within an hour of closing, but still expected better

Diner Review №108

Diner Review №109

My kids wouldn't finish their orange chicken?savvy? A bit flavorless

Diner Review №110

Great food and friendly service

#PatronChallenge How do I send you money as a gift to support your biz during this pandemic? Can you post a Venmo or Paypal to send to, or let me know how to buy a giftcard. And DM me @stephanaarstol and I'll send you the $80 I'm trying to get to you.

Only 5 of the 15 local businesses I'm trying to support make it easy by offering gift cards on their website. You might want to look into that. It could become a thing in the next few weeks and you want to make it easy for people to support you.

Diner Review №113

Lovely authentic Thai restaurant. Great decor. Delicious food. Server pointed out the already vegan options and said that virtually anything on the menu (except the curries) could be modified and made vegan. Kind and attentive service. Dogs allowed on their tiny patio.

Diner Review №114

The 4 of us shared 5 different plates and everything tasted fresh, authentic and delicious. Highly recommended!

Diner Review №115

Favorite Thai food in all of San Diego

Diner Review №116

Staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing!!! Every dish is amazing but the pineapple fried rice is my favorite!!!

Diner Review №117

Diner Review №127

Diner Review №128

Great Food Awesome Service!!

Diner Review №129

Really good, food is always good.
I ordered a noodle dish, just be careful and ask because they didn't mention peanuts on the menu but it came with peanuts.

So be careful if you have an allergy.

Service wasn't 100%, I would have liked the server to check with us once after food arrived.

Diner Review №130

Cozy, flavourful Thai dishes. Great prices and convenient location on Garnet. Standout dishes include the green curry, spicy eggplant, and green beans. A nice example of Thai food in San Diego.

Delicious food great atmosphere

Diner Review №136

I love this restaurant! So far, I've tried the Spicy Green Curry and the Yellow Curry (the Yellow Curry with chicken is my favorite). I tried some of my husband's chicken fried rice, and it was also very good, not overly greasy or heavy like it can be at some places. Their calamari is delicious as well! The decor is nice, and the outdoor seating area looks inviting too. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to all of my friends looking for a nice curry in a relaxing atmosphere.

If you like Thai food, you will like this place! BUT it gets busy and the service might be slow. Unlike the other Thai places, it takes long to order and get your food. I like this place, but it's not a good option if you are in a hurry.

Diner Review №147

Hidden gem

Diner Review №148

We stopped in here on a whim because we could park and were so pleasantly surprised. We had two curries that were wellspiced, just as we asked.

It's an attractive restaurant with typically Thai decor. We'll definitely return.

Diner Review №149

Diner Review №150

Diner Review №151

Diner Review №152

Ordered two meals that should not have peanuts (pad see ew, drunken noodle). Both had peanuts. This is a problem for person who is allergic to peanuts. Disappointed because I come here often and love the food. I live fairly far and it's not an option to drive 1 hour round trip to resolve.

Diner Review №153

Diner Review №154

Head the Kari Pop appetizer (curry puff) was really good. Ordered the 3 Amigos with rice also pretty good. Took a risk and tried something new. I was not disappointed! I walked in and it was empty, they had a steady stream of walk ins for pick up and by the time I was done it was almost full!! Small corner venue, eclectic with a nice atmosphere. I'll return soon!

I and my husband searched A LOT of menus and read A LOT of reviews before settling to come to this place. I’ve been very lucky to eat some incredible Thai food from all over the world. This is a good thing, but it’s also made me incredibly picky. I had the vegetarian green curry with medium spice. The dish had multiple FRESH vegetables cooked to perfection! The curry blend seemed to be homemade. I’ve never tried a blend quite like it. It was superb!!! My husband had the drunken noodles. I typically don’t like drunken noodles for several reasons, but this one I couldn’t quit eating! Lots of fresh vegetables as well and not saturated with oil. We also had an appetizer (I forgot the name). They were avacado and cream cheese wontons. Super unique. They did not disappoint! 😋 The restaurant was clean and decorated really fun. The service was excellent!!! I will definitely be coming back every time I come to San Diego. Thanks for the great food and experience!!!

Diner Review №158

Diner Review №159

I love this place it feels just like a restaurant that I really like in Chiang Mai. Very authentic and great prices.

Diner Review №160

Unfortunately a bad experience for first time, now last as well. Order was wrong. Ordered two diff noodle dishes, they made both pad thai. In addition, noodles are bland. Coconut mango did not have the traditional coconut milk on top. Sorry, not coming back.

Diner Review №161

Good Thai food

Diner Review №162

Well kept and nice food. Fantastic aesthetic.

Diner Review №163

Great food, service was great, parking is hard but the food is good.

Diner Review №164

This was such a pretty place to eat and awesome food!

Diner Review №165

Good affordable food. The yellow curry, drunken noodles, and kow soi are all good. The half duck is just like bejing duck with a crispy skin and juicy meat.

Diner Review №166

This place came recommended by locals and I'm so glad because they had the best khao soi I've had since I was visited Thailand. HIGHLY recommend. I'll definitely come back next time I visit San Diego. The half moon ton was delicious too!

Diner Review №167

Very flavorful. Duck was so plentiful in the honey pineapple sauce.

Diner Review №178

Great Thai restaurant that we visit each time we are in San Diego. I haven't found a better green curry anywhere and my 3 year old demolished the calamari and satay

Diner Review №179

Diner Review №180

Awesome Pad Thai, just like they make in Thailand! Little pricey though but maybe I'm biased since 50 baht would be a steal here in America..

Diner Review №181

Never sat here but took a takeaway twice, both was not very good.
if you do decide to give it a try, don't choose to add beef, he's really bad....

Diner Review №182

Cozy little restaurant with savoury Thai food. I also had a Thai cold coffee which was incredible. Probably consisted of a single shot espresso, 16 oz condensed milk and 1 cup of sugar but was pretty good, especially after the spicy thai noodle dish.

Diner Review №183

Diner Review №184

Better than average thai food, just a little pricey but good service. Is tucked away in a little strip mall with very little parking. Appropriate for kids and casual dining. Cute little place with nice ambiance considering the location. Tried the fried calamari appetizer.

Diner Review №185

First time here, I always try the Thai classic first to test their salt, The Pad Thai. It was a very sad excuse for flavor and portion size. It was watery and bland, just blah blah and blah, very substandard. Almost $12 of soupy, goopy mess, what a waste

Diner Review №194

Amazing drunken noodles and Thom yum soup! Stay away from Hawaiian fried rice.

Diner Review №195

Small place with good food.

Diner Review №196

Good Thai food in PB. Small place but nice ambience.

Diner Review №197

Favorite Thai food in PB. Their pad see ew and green curry is amazing. Just wish they offered duck green curry.

Diner Review №198

Meh. Veggies were fresh but flavors were meh. Noodles just one big clump. Papaya salad bland as paper. It's literally just meh. Cute inside tho.

Diner Review №199

Great hole in the wall with the best Curry
