Oishii is such a hidden gem! Very clean, and the insanely friendly and attentive staff make you feel right at home. The highlight for me was the pork noodle soup—seriously, it’s the closest thing I’ve found to authentic street noodle soup from Thailand. Such a rare find! Everything we tried was fresh and delicious. I’m already planning my next visit. Highly recommend!

We live a couple blocks from this place. We are amazed by the deliciousness and presentation of the dishes. Everything is so good! We ordered the jack sushi roll, the pork belly, the small wonton soup and the fried rice (my husband eat it before I could take a picture). The service was really good, it was fast and people are kind. We are coming back! New favorite spot in the area!

I was born in Thailand and came to the US a few years ago and I can honestly say this place has the most authentic food around. The seafood fried rice and grilled pork reminded me of Thailand. And they have sushi!! So yummy. Wonderful combination of flavors. This is my new go to spot for Thai food. Bravo!!!!

This is the best, authentic Thai food I ever had. They just open last week and the service is amazing. We try crispy pork, and Chinese, broccoli, pineapple, fried rice, and chicken satay. Does Server give us Thai iced tea which is not very sweet and it is what exactly we are looking for. The mango, sticky rice is the best. Coconut milk and mango is sweet as it should be. We will definitely go back again thank you for your so much and good teamwork🙏

I love coming here for their happy hour which is 2-5 daily! Lisa is so kind and welcoming as well as the rest of the staff. Their sushi is reasonably priced and good quality.

I'd call it sushi with a Thai twist. Overall fairly decent. Everything was reasonably tasty, but slightly different than typical Japanese food. The service was very fast and very friendly.

The surprise came with the bill. I wanted a simple small green side salad like you would get at any sushi restaurant for a few bucks. What I got was a few leaves of lettuce, some cucumber slices, a bunch of tofu cubes and wonton crisps and a $9 price tag. Along with the roll, miso and tip it set me back almost $40, which is too much.

I eat sushi all over the country and 1 roll, miso and small salad should not be more than $25 tops. I can find excellent sushi at that price in any major metro area. What they need on the menu is a simple green side salad--just some chopped lettuce and a little dressing. It should not be more than $3-4 max.

I ordered the spring rolls and Tom kha soup, absolutely phenomenal!! The spring rolls came with a spicy sauce which combined with the peanut sauce really sent the flavor to the moon. The soup was creamy and exploding with flavor. Cannot wait to order from here again!

Great family owned restaurant. They truely make you feel welcomed and that they really appreciate your business. I go at least twice a month and never have been disappointed. The Chris roll is my go to sushi!

We went during dinner rush on a Friday and it took a while to get all the food but it was worth the wait. The food was excellent and the atmosphere gave me good feels.

I had the chow mein combination along with the pork jowl, and everything was delicious. The sushi is also some of the best ive had in a while. The portions you receive are also good and worth every penny.

Now this is a fantastic Thai Japanese restaurant! They have a very wide selection of dishes and their lunch meals do not disappoint.
It used to be located in Santee, my coworkers and I would go there every week for lunch.
Now, in their new location, they are as good as they were before. You will keep coming back.

Lisa is incredible. This has quickly become a comfort spot for me, because of Lisa's warm and welcoming personality and the delicious curry. I've tried a couple other items on the menu, but always find myself coming back for their yellow curry 😊 I am just creature of habit. This is certainly my favorite food spot, on a good day, on a bad day, Oishii is THE spot. Not to mention their AWESOME happy hour deals. If you're in the area this is definitely the place to go. I am a customer for life!!!!

Really lovely people. We had a large group and they were very attentive, even gave us free edamame to try since she said it’s their most popular appetizer and it was all delicious. The sushi was pretty average tasting, but definitely better than other spots in this area. Our friends also tried the pad thai, cho mein, crab fried rice, mango sticky rice, thai iced tea, all was very delicious. We will definitely be going back

We took our college kids to try out this place near SDSU. We were pleasantly surprised how great the food and services are. We ordered several rolls, Tom yum noodle soup and they were all delicious! Our server Lisa was friendly and attentive. Don’t forget to come for their happy hour, our girls got Thai ice tea with boba for 3 bucks!

My friends and I love Oishii! Their happy hour has amazing deals and even delicious vegan options like the fried tofu and spicy edamame. The owners are super nice and the service is great too! It’s super cute inside and walkable if you are living in collage area. I highly recommend checking it out!

Super nice people? Yes. Super good sushi? No. It is okay, but since I see it rated at 4.8 and I thought I travel for this would be worth it but it really wasn't. California roll was very average. I wish I could rate them higher. May be they have better dishes but I wouldn't risk it again.

Unexpectedly came here for happy hour and the sushi was so good. Also tried the egg rolls, pad thai and the crispy pork. The crispy was delicious, but a little too crispy for my liking. I'll come back when the weather cools off to try the tom yum soup.

Everything was so good we had the beef noodle soup. Spicy fried rice, mango sticky rice, & cheesy wonton everything was a 10/10.

We really enjoyed this wonderful restaurant and highly recommend it to everyone. The food is 100% authentic Thai with a very special Japanese cuisine menu. Come and enjoy Oishii Thai just as we have.

This place is a gem. We live in the neighborhood and were in the mood for sushi and cold beer on a hot summer day. Oishii hit all the marks.

Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the fish, the atmosphere, and the friendly service (it is located next to a gas station, after all). The yellow tail nigiri was delicious! The CA roll option with real crab was tasty too. It was a busy Friday night for this little spot but they made us feel so welcome. We’ll definitely be making a return to try their Thai options!

I came here with my wife and we both really enjoyed everything. My wife being from Thailand gets a little crazy when I take her to a Thai restaurant because she wants to order the whole menu lol. Needless to say we ate a lot and took a lot home. She said 5 star and I couldn’t agree more. I thought the pad Thai sauce was perfect and the tamarind sauce served with the grilled pork was amazing. It’s spicy but just the way I like it. Try the sticky rice, eat with your hands, and dip it into sauces to be authentic.

I just wanted to come on here and say the customer service was amazing. He was so incredibly helpful and polite. I ordered my food Togo and the whole time he kept a smile on his and I felt incredibly welcomed. I definitely will make this my go to place!

I used to come here when it was Thai Taste and absolutely loved the pineapple fried rice. I had high hopes theirs would be similar or better since it cost more. It’s absolutely disgusting. More onion than pineapple and it taste canned or not ripe. I will say the remodel is really nice inside and the customer service was exceptional. I may go back and try the sushi but don’t waste your time with the pineapple fried rice. Yuck!

Food is pretty good but the service is 12/10. Everyone is super sweet and awesome. Great atmosphere, happy hour is also awesome. And they have the large kirin ichibans!!

Even though I ordered to go, the people there were so nice and welcoming as I waited for my food. They give off such a welcome vibe and make feel comfortable. Since I live VERY close by, I'll definitely be coming back.

Do you really want to eat real sushi? This is the place, my favorite rolls are Thai Dai and Energy Roll. Also they have the delicious Oyster Shooters, I always order some before starting my main course. Mike the chef is super nice and humble person, we love everything in this place. The only downside is that you won’t go to any other place for sushi but Oishii, the best rolls ever in California and maybe in the US.

This was my second time back! I highly recommend Oishii to friends. They are so friendly and the all the dishes are delicious with lots of flavor! If you like sushi, try the Chris roll or the Energy roll. Both are very good! All the ingredients and fish are fresh. I’ll be back again.

Very friendly people and great food! I had never had a Thai curry before and the nice lady suggested the Phanaeng curry and it was delicious. I also got a Thai tea with boba great portion size on both and tasted very fresh and yummy. I can’t wait to try out more dishes and the sushi bar!

I visited on 3/27/2024 and the service is outstanding, the food was spectacular. The fried angel wings are amazing! All the food I have ordered on the two occasions coming to the restaurant have really been some of the best Thai food I have eaten.

Ordered lunch online and loved the Chinese sausage fried rice and decided to stop buy to try the sushi bar. The service was amazing, nice family owned ambiance with care and love in each dish. We ordered the energy roll, oishi crunchy roll as well as nagiri, the energy roll is my top recommendation. I have never seen a roll so filled with such large pieces of quality fish. The yellowtail melted in my mouth, the oyster shooter was good but a little on the sour side, would have preferred served on the half shell.

Would 10/10 recommended, for a near by local restaurant this is a must for any one in the area.

I absolutely LOVED the food here! Thai and Japanese food all in one place? So awesome! So I ordered sushi as an appetizer and it was totally delicious and then I ordered panang curry. I like my curry spicy, so I played it safe and ordered 7 out of 10. And it was deliciously spicy! But without sacrificing flavor at all. If you like spicy curry, I recommend trying a 7. My mom and wife had their fav noodles and they loved it too. The prices are very fair and definitely wasn't surprised by the cost. Oh and the restaurant is nice and cozy too. Great service. They just opened recently so they accept cash or venmo as a heads up! I should have taken some pictures of the food to post but I devoured it before I thought about it.
