I think we came on an off-night maybe? We waited forever to get service. Three different people waited on us and we just kind of fell through the cracks. The lady forgot about our dessert and finally we flagged her down and she came and brought us ice cream soup that had clearly been sitting there for a while. They seemed to treat regulars very well and were extremely attentive to them.

Other than the ginger ice cream, everything was so incredibly underwhelming. This is not authentic Asian food. The vermicelli noodles were flavorless. The Thai tea was sparkling?? My basa fish was fine, cooked well.

Great for an older crowd that likes upscale ethnic food but doesn't care about authenticity and is willing to pay more for white linens and fresh flowers on the table.

Restaurant is nice. my only complaint comes from the audacity of this place to serve a curry dish - charge you $30 for it - in the description say "it's SO good with rice" but NOT include rice in the dish. Really wanna squeeze out these dollars from customers I guess? What a bizarre time we live in where rice has to be ordered as an extra for curry ... Let alone a $30 curry. Come on now, let's go back to sensible times and friggin serve a complete dish rather than piece meiling it to charge extra on top of higher prices 😭

We have been going to this restaurant forever. Tonight for the first time I was disappointed with the quality of the food.
The green chicken curry is really watered down even though the price has gone up. So sad😕

Tonight I did the take out . The food was good and service was good but please stop using styrofoam for the take out containers. I am sure the hot food reacts with the chemicals and the chemicals end up in our body and has to be bad for the environment as well.

Long time regular customer. Love the food. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed in the customer service today. My order was canceled 30 minutes after placing the order. Either shut down the ordering apps before you open, cancel the order immediately, or accommodate the order even though you are busy. Canceling an order 30 minutes later is so very inconsiderate and created a great inconvenience.

Amir and Eloy did a great job of making us feel welcome. The food was delicious, Bangkok beef being the standout.

It was our first time to try the tasty Thai BBQ chicken with coconut sauce. It came with vegetables. The shrimp and pork salad rolls were delicious, too! We also enjoyed stir-fry vegetables which included tofu, a nice surprise! It was more than enough for three seniors.

This place is absolutely amazing!! Everything is superb, gourmet. One of my favorite places of any kind. The salmon is exquisite.

Food was great… once we finally got it. We were there two and a half hours all told. They said they had a problem with the computers and were nice enough to give us an entree and dessert for free. However the service was way too slow. A table of the same size came in well after we did and were served before us so I suspect our waiter may have been part of our problem.

It used to be my favorite place for delicious fresh food, and cozy atmosphere. Atmosphere went out the door after they stopped using the white table cloths, the food is still good but instead of dine in we just do takeout. Ordered curbside pickup for 5pm at about noon. Almost $150 order. I called when I arrived to notify them I was out front. Man responded "it's not done yet, I'll have someone run it out when it's ready. " Ok, no problem, It's a busy night understandable.

Keeping a 2 year old occupied for a few minutes in a car seat is hard. I waited 20 minutes outside and called my wife to update her on ETA. She called the restaurant and had the rudest interaction with a woman on the phone "Oh your order is ready and sitting here. Why didn't he just come in? He didn't talk to me..."

Why are you arguing? He said someone would bring it out. I have a 2 year old in a car seat, and oh yeah, did you want COVID? There was a reason we asked for curbside pick up... Good food, horrible service. This was the second time too.

Last time we dined in for my MIL's birthday and the waiter completely forgot to put in her order. Which, I get it, it happens... But she was the last one to put in her order, and he didn't even comp anything.

Lemon Grass has been a longtime local favorite! I hope they are stay for many more years!

Made reservations but was seated by kitchen even after we requested a different table. Table was vacant the entire time we were there (2 hrs). Our server had the best personality!

This used to be my favorite restaurant for years. I went here with my parents growing up. I wanted to get a gift card for my father for Christmas and we followed the instructions on their website for ordering and mailing a gift card. The manager refused to take my call so we could give them their mailing address and kept leaving me on hold (for about 30 minutes). I ended up cancelling the gift card. The manager was very unprofessional (hung up on me twice). I cannot continue to support an establishment that treats customers so poorly. This is unfortunate because the food is very good. Hopefully the restaurant can find a more competent and professional manager.

As always, excellent food and service. The Lemongrass soup is amazing and the ginger ice cream is the best anywhere.

Very quick and kind staff, clean atmosphere, but sadly the food wasn't the best. Not much seasoning. I will say though, if you have a food intolerance they will try their best to make accommodations.

We are huge fans of Lemon Grass and have been for years - the food is always fresh, delicious, and bursting with flavor. We live near San Francisco and every time we visit Sac we order from Lemon Grass. Oh my goodness, those crispy veggie rolls always impress and we’ve never found anything like them at other restaurants.

When we got engaged, we reached out to Lemon Grass to ask if they could cater our wedding in Sacramento. They agreed and we met with Mai Pham and Tyler to map out a menu of vegetarian and chicken dishes. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, Tyler went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly and walked through the whole plan and schedule with us. On the day of, he personally came over with trays of delicious food and dozens of sauces and helped the staff prep everything to the same standards as the restaurant. They were a smash hit - our guests were blown away by how delicious and fresh everything was. Having them cater made the day even more special for us.

Lemon Grass remains our favorite restaurant in Sacramento. If you're in the area, stop by and try their food. You won't be disappointed!

Wednesday, 2/02/2022 - Took my friend to Lemon Grass restaurant for her birthday/congratulations event tonight. I've been here once, like 5 or 6 years ago and absolutely loved the Thai Steak dinner with the peanut sauce. Restaurant is pretty inside. Upon arrival tonight:

Pros:
1) plenty of parking. There's more parking spaces towards the back.
2) restaurant was very clean. Chairs, bowls, plates, napkins, utensils and cups all clean.
3) restaurant was quiet.
4) there's a bar.
5) food presentation was pretty. Water good.
6) Thai Steak dinner was ok. It wasn't medium rare as I requested. But it was still good. The peanut sauce that goes with the steak was very good with the steak. Steam veggies and rice were good.
7) the Lunar New Year special: Halibut dish was good. The sauce in the bowl made all the difference. Noodle in bowl good. They offer rambutan fruits at the end of our meal.
8) server checked in on us to make sure we didn't need anything else several times.
9) server was very nice and professional. Even offer to take our picture for us.
10) server even packed our food to go for us.
11) bathroom was very clean.
12) ambiance was nice.

Cons:
1) they don't offer anything for the birthday person. But you can order dessert and they can put a candle on it for you, I was told.
2) parking was a little dark.
3) there seemed to be only 1 waiter. He was VERY busy running around waiting on the 4 or 5 tables I saw.
4) upon arrival, there was no one at the front to greet me. No signs that let's patrons know if they needed to check in, wait to be seated, or just go sit at any open table and they'll come serve you. I stood there for a while before someone came.
5) there's a $2.00 fee for extra peanut sauce. Wish they told me.

Conclusion:
Nice Restaurant. I like it. Very clean. Server very nice, but super busy. Foods good. Ambiance nice. Very quiet restaurant. Try this place if you haven't yet.

For 12+ years, we have always enjoyed Lemon Grass. Great food, service, and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommend.

This was a wonderful dining experience a kind of upscale I love the fact that there are glass windows around the dining area the demographics are a little bit older so there weren't a lot of screaming hollering kids. it was a nice relaxed atmosphere that offered great service wonderful food, an upscale atmosphere and it really was a nice surprise to find such a dining experience here in Sacramento I really recommend this as a date night location for couples looking to leave the kids behind and recreate a moment of magic.

We went to Lemon Grass on Thursday night. It was not busy at all. There were 7 in our party. We were seated quickly. Everything was perfect. Our waitress was fabulous and the food was delicious. Everyone loved what they ordered. I've never had ginger ice cream and it was yummy too. This was my 2nd time going to this restaurant and I've lived here forever. I need to get there more often because the selection is great and prices are reasonable.

Awesome restaurant. My favorite in Sacramento. Love their vegetarian Monk's Curry. My wife's favorite is the Pad Thai. Oh, and the sticky rice dessert is fabulous. Great atmosphere and awesome service.

Got large to go order. Pad thai, tom kha, curry, shaken beef etc. It was very bland. I was surprised due to the great reviews. The pad thai was very dry and I was surprised there were no peanuts or bean sprouts on it. Maybe an off night?

Great service, this restaurant has been a favorite of my parents and whenever I am visiting we always go there. This time was real special with all the family. We were seated in the private dining room and never had an empty glass throughout dinner. Very attentive staff. Everyone enjoyed their dinner and dessert.

This restaurant has a large selection of Thai and Vietnamese dishes. The meals are reasonably priced and very tasty with fresh ingredients. Unless you are VERY hungry, count on bringing home some leftovers.

This was probably the worst dining experience of my life! The service was horrible and chaotic... the appetizers tasted fine but our main dishes never came and they finally just boxed them to go... someone took the appetizers off of our bill to try to make some sort of apology... I understand restaurants are having a hard time finding employees. I won't go back here!

At first I was worried about dining here after learning from friends about the the cost of a meal.

But at the end of the day, you get what you pay for. The food here was phenomenal. This is a great place to dine at for special occasions. I look forward to the next time I dine here!

We had a wonderful waitress named Grace who introduced us to their wonderful specials os the day. The food was excellent, favorable with just enough of spice! Definitely coming back. A must try.

1st 'dining in' experience since the pandemic started. Befitting it was at our absolute fav spot. Staff was warm and welcoming (Kate and Dean) and food was as usual spot on! We commented while eating (and loving it) that we have never once been disappointed by the food/dining experience at lemongrass. Really well priced for the quality of the food with good portioning. We had the Thai beef salad (explosion of flavors, omg), Seafood green curry and vegetarian paella and all were top notch. I always hesitate to talk up Lemongrass too much because it feels like our best kept secret. If I had one request for a final meal I would pass on the cheeseburger and head strait to Lemongrass for a feast of a lifetime.

Went there last week , Kate was awesome and our server Luis was perfect.The food was delicious and true Thai culture. Me and my family will be coming back for more without a doubt.

I had their Monk’s Curry with Brown rice - wonderful! I love a good curry...

The food is Fabulous and the service is even better. Our waitress Mackenzie took excellent care of our party and provided 1st class customer service. She recommended some great meals and quality wines. I strongly recommend Lemon Grass and sitting in Mackenzies section if you're craving good quality tie food at affordable prices.

The dining rooms are bright and inviting. Our lunch was very good and our server was delightful. Lemon Grass has a varied menu with something for everyone. There are appetizers, salads, small plates, entrees, curries and lunch specials. There is a very nice wine list. Wine is available by the glass, 1/2 or whole bottle. I had the lunch special, a chicken and shrimp stir fry with vegetables and a black bean sauce. It was served with rice and I selected brown rice. My friend had the small plate, soup and rolls. The soup was wonderful. The rolls were fresh with a good dipping sauce. Always a nice place for a quiet lunch.

I always have a great experience at this restaurant, the staff is personable and attentive and the food is always on point. My personal favorite is the Bangkok Beef.

As usual the food and service was excellent. I have never had a meal here that I didn't like.

Lemon Grass is one of Sacramento's most famous and most delightful restaurants. When we have out of town guests we make it a point to dine at Lemon Grass. The ambiance, service and food combine for a great and memorable experience. It's a special plus that cookbooks can also be purchased to capture some memories of this experience.

Food was just average. The dish that I ordered was listed as spicy but absolutely not!! When the dish was served the waiter made a big deal about the plate being hot, which it wasn't and the food seemed as if it was been microwaved- lukewarm in certain areas, hot in other spots. Not impressed for how much the meal cost.

The food is always well prepared and tasty. I'd recommend the garden rolls always, great balance of veggies, herbs, and noodles. My fav is the beef over rice noodles. Service exceeds the menu price range.

Dinner at Lemon Grass was great as usual! There were several large groups at the restaurant on Christmas Eve. The crispy spring rolls were excellent! My Pad Thai was sumptuous and the spouse's pork medallions were really tasty. We love coming to Lemon Grass.

Ten people, including vegetarian, spice lovers, shrimp and chicken fans, finicky eaters - each meal much enjoyed. Everyone gave a thumbs up! I stopped going years ago after an underwhelming lunch. Very happy.

One or the very best in Sacramento. Experience and price are shockingly good. Equivalent in San Francisco's Richmond district where I live would easily be more than double the cost.
