Ordered takeout, I was texted that the food was ready. When I got there, they said it would be 5 more minutes. I left to the car to wait there patiently. Came back 10 minutes later and the food still wasn't ready. It's now been 25 minutes and I'm still waiting. While waiting, they ran out 5 plates and have made another ro go order with an order number that 71 when I'm 61. I get things happen, but why text me that it's ready and then have me wait this long, as of now, I still haven't gotten my food...

Call in order, food taste very bad maybe I will go in to see if foods will taste any different. This place is referred to me by a friends. Nope they don’t know thai food if this is great to them.

We felt they rushed us to leave because they want to close at 8:00 even though we got there at 7:35 and we were served at 7:55. I know they were slow but the lady that served us was not too friendly, the way she put the dishes on the next table to us. Just weird. I felt we were not welcomed.

2. The chicken satay was very dry and fried
3. Pineapple fried rice barely had pineapples

I usually get their Kaopoon and the Papaya salad. Sometimes I'll get the Nam Kao crispy rice when I'm craving it

The portions are very good - big bowls of noodle soup and big plates of noodles or other dishes. The Mango Dango and Pad Khee Mao are also very good

Great food . It was my first time ordering from here and I loved everything there.

I can never take pics of my food because I can't wait to dive in. My favorite Thai joint. Their eggplant tofu with coconut cream is so delicious. Spring wraps with tofu are fresh and scrumptious. The staff is always super friendly and efficient.

Really liked the interior, great customer service. Food came out very quick and was super hot. Tasted like quality too. I recommend their wings, some of the best I’ve had. Overall great place for Halal Thai food.

You can't go wrong with the Pad Thai and Drunken noodles.
They also allow you to adjust the spiciness level of nearly every dish (recommend 2 or 3).
My only reason for giving 4 instead of 5 is the price. It has gotten pretty expensive for what you're getting, meaning only eating here on occasion.

I saw a mix of reviews but figured I'd give it a chance myself. I got a spicy chicken pad thai. There wasn't really any flavor and when it had some long darker brown strands. I thought it was noodles but it wasn't. Those strands tasted pretty funky. Overall, wasn't a big fan. It's cheap but not worth it.

food quality has gone down the drain. It use to be good filled with flavors. I always order raw laab bitter and lao style papaya. My last two times I order the laab and papaya, I can taste only lime and pepper. I am disappointed.

I ordered this through door dash. The yellow curry was horrible, drunken noodles was flavorless and the spring rolls were the best part but very skimpy. Won't eat here again.

Good food restaurants and portions will definitely fill most people up since it is on the large side. Thai food always has lots of good veggies blended with meat protein of your choice, and this restaurant makes the foods very good with rich flavor.

For the money, 2 stars, noodles we're clumped together flavor was pretty good but nothing special, there were like roman tomatoes in my pad see ew, like not even cherry tomatoes or heirloom, super weird flavor combination, not enough broccoli and portion is a bit small payed 29$ for two meals. I refried it at home with more egg, in part sesame oil and that was a little better 🤷.

Mango Dango Chicken is the bomb. Everything comes in 5 spice levels 1-5, 3 is perfect and I like spicy food. 4 is really good but comes with after effects. They snicker at old white guys that pick 5 for good reason...

Been coming here for years as soon as they started doing halal food. The food and service is consistently good.

I like that you can indicate the level of spice you want. It's not always consistent, but if you cannot handle spice, they do hold back the spice for you. I've eaten here probably 10 or 15 times and I've never had a bad dish. They do mostly take out and are very busy as such, but you can also dine in. Their tables are clean and comfortable.

DEFINITELY homemade quality!! We had their papaya salad, kaopoon (with chicken feet and quail eggs), Lao pho, chicken wings and thai tea. Super delicious the way authentic Lao/Thai food should taste like. DEFINITELY coming back and higly recommended. Price point was good too!

Authentic thai/lao food. Got the chicken basil stir fry, it was pretty good & flavorful. the lao style papaya salad was good as well. (We got 4 peppers and it was SPICY). We also tried out the khao piak - it was delicious. Definitely coming back to try out more items from the menu.

Although they order did take few times and we got slightly bored but to be fair the place was extremely busy. It took about 30 minutes to get the order. We ordered crazy noodles it comes with beef. Very very yummy! And we also got the mango dango chicken which was extremely extremely delicious!!!!!!!! We wanted the spiciness to be #2 yet it was pretty spicy. No joke with thai food. Also its halal so yay i must give it an extra star for that.

This place is amazing and i used to go hear all the time with my gf. The recent time I went they still upheld their standards. The food was amazing I love their fried oreos, ylu gotta try them. This is 1 of our favorite Thai restaurants 😋 you can only enjoy the best Mango Dango chicken here -- most Thai restaurants do NOT offer it. Beef Pad See Eu and Pineapple Fried Rice were quite flavorful. The Chicken Pad Thai was skimpy on the tofu, eggs, and chicken 😒
Broccoli Beef was good, although beef pieces were big and chewy. Overall, good dining experience 😉 I do recommend KB's Thai Hut. Friendly, nice service always! Happy Holidays 🌲

Had the drunken noodles with the KB XL platter. The drunken noodles were tasty and flavorful. Added a spoon of spicy chili garlic oil to my serving and it was great! The platter came with 2 spice laos papaya, wings, coconut shrimp, veggie egg rolls, cabbage, noodles, and sticky rice. The papaya was good. There wasnt an overpowered tamarind taste which was great. The chicken wings is always crunchy and great to eat. The coconut sweet was delicious with or without the sauce. You could definitely taste coconut and the flaky crust did wonders for the dish. And the veggie eggrolls were crunchy and fresh. Defintely a go to spot. Im just reserving the last star since i havent tried the rest of the dishes.

Pad Thai and Drunken noodles is delicious

Three different times within a year...every time my family and I go... they're always forgetting one dish or adding spice when we requested none. We ask for extra stuff on the side, but we never get them. Customer service is fine and food taste is fine, but just getting tired of no quality food control to ensure it was made correctly or to ensure all dishes ordered are made and delivered to the table.

I guess we won't be coming here again.

We tried this restaurant for the first time for my wife's birthday. My wife is vegan and they have many vegan options. I had the Veggie Stir Fry mix with rice. It was very good. The service was fast and the servers were polite and friendly. I am sure we will be back again.

The mango dango lost its appeal. Maybe just a bad day, but the chicken was dry like jerky, cut into smaller pieces than in the past, and the sauce, which used to be tangy, was flat. Oh, and yet another price increase. The third in two years.

If you like Thai food then this is the place to go.

Ordered Panang curry with chicken and shrimp and it was by far the best Panang I've ever tasted. Also ordered the appetizer platter that included sweet sticky rice, noodles, potstickers and fish cakes.

It was my first time trying this place. I loved mango dango chicken and mango with sticky rice. They are also zabiha halal which is great option to have in Sacramento. I highly recommend this restaurant to try!

Time and time again, they can never get my order right. Today is my last time ordering from them. I called in to order 6 items and requested that they not cook my noodles because I wasn't going to be eating my food right away. When my brother came home with the food, I was missing 2 items. I called them and told them I was missing 2 items and they told me that I was only billed for 4 items and then asked if I wanted to place another order. OF COURSE NOT! If they had listened and got it right the first time, I would not be calling to figure out what happened with my order! After I hung up, I discovered that my noodles were cooked even though I requested that it not be cooked and they have accommodated this before.

It's unfortunate that I will be putting this place on my blacklist because their food is really good. But not at cost of the constant hassle of making sure they get my order right. They definitely lack basic customer servicer skill. VERY DISSAPPOINTED.

Amazing Lao food

I had the spicy Lao beef plate but I only didn't like the mint in it.

They need to rename this place Lao Hut. There's nothing wrong with Lao people or their food, but they have a very different palate than Thai, and their attempts at Thai dishes usually fail. Every couple years I try this place again to see if they've improved, and it hasn't happened yet. I bought two soups: Tom Yum with shrimp and Tom Kha with chicken, and it cost $30. Both were far too salty and had not even a hint of sour or tangy. No lemongrass. No ginger. No lime. None. And regular white mushrooms from the grocery store. That's not remotely how you make Thai soup. Oh, and giant chunks of tomato, like at least a quarter of a not-small tomato. Who does that? Completely overpriced for bland, salty soup. Would not recommend. Next time my go-to Thai place is closed on Tuesday, I'll just get something else entirely. Only giving two stars because the service was good. Friendly, professional, and when my soup was finally ready (it took a while, but at least it was fresh), they brought it outside to me.

Ordered the chicken pad thai, spring rolls, and thai tea, unfortunately I cannot recommend this spot. For starters the service was not the best, there were no courtesy greetings, which isn't a priority to me but there was just no attention to detail, they forgot to add my drink which I had to go back for, and when I did they didn't bother to give me the straw from behind the counter so I had to grab it myself.

For the food my chicken pad thai had an overwhelming taste of shrimp to it, the spring rolls were alright but the peanut sauce had an unappealing consistency, and lastly my thai tea was extremely sweet, I had the ice melt and still had to dump half of it and refill with milk to bring it down to a tolerable sweetness.

It's a shame, I had seen the high reviews and had high hopes for this place but as a new resident to Sacramento I'm back on the search for a good thai spot since this sadly just wont do...

It was my first time going to that restaurant. OMG the best food ever and on top of that it’s Halal. It’s a small place but always busy. The people working there are very professional. The place was clean and just GREAT.

First time and I admit it wasn't our favorite. My wife loves Thai food especially red curry and her meal did not come or taste the same as other Thai restaurant. More onion than chicken and the color wasn't the same. I feel we were over charged for the items I purchased and was not told. I gave it a 2 star cause I did like the mango chicken. Other than that we will not be back again

This is an excellent Lao place in the Elk Grove area in Sacramento. And they are open for indoor dining! I ordered chicken / shrimps pad Thai and loved it I went back the following day! Recommend it!!!!!

I don't know what it is but the food I ordered for dinner tonight was just no good, no flavor, my pad thai was dry & no flavor at all and the noodles were really sticky. I ordered the 1. Chicken pad thai, 2. Red chicken curry, 3. Beef larb, 4. Basil fried rice (no flavor) & 5. Laos style papaya salad (but I didn't get my papaya when I picked up my order forgot to double check before leaving). I'm disappointed because I paid almost $70.

First visit today. Many vegan options here. Had the red curry with tofu and veggies. Very quick service and food was delightful... went for a spicy level 3/5 and it was enough for my taste! I'll happily be back.

KB's Thai Hut has many amazing dishes. Definitely one of the best Thai food in the area worth trying. The restaurant is very clean, and the service was excellent. The menu provides a satisfying variety of dishes you can choose from, and a spice level ranging from 1 to 5; 5 being the hottest. We ordered the Yai Phaeng’s Pad Thai (Spicy Level 4), Bao Pan’s Drunken Noodles (Spicy Level 4), Pal Thu Khan’s Red Curry Fried Rice (Spicy Level 5), Mae Nang Boulai’s Pineapple Fried Rice (Spicy Level 4), and Pi Thoui’s Thai Chow Mein (Spicy Level 3). The food was served within 10-15 minutes, and the waiters were very attentive; always coming by to top off our waters and make good conversations with us. Everything tasted so fresh and you can tell each dish was made with great care. You are surely guaranteed to get great quality food in large portions for a very reasonable price. At the end of the meal, we also tried their Thai Iced Tea which was another level of awesomeness; so delicious and authentic. We hope that KB’s Thai Hut always remains consistent in terms of food quality & quantity. Overall, we were greatly impressed by the efforts and sincerity of this small family business.

The food here is always delicious and I love that they serve an all halal menu! Once we were traveling with small children and we called ahead to order our food so we wouldn't have to wait. We arrived and our table was set with food ready!! We felt like royalty! It was a really great experience. They have the best pad Thai I've ever had. The mango Dango is another favorite.

Not recommended order pad thai. It doesn't tast at all. The worth pad thai we ever eat.

Came here after a day of work in Elk Grove. They practice safe social distancing and currently does indoor dining. They have you sanitize once you come in and check your temperature if you are dining in. We ordered, chicken satay, wings, fried tofu, stir fried green beans, lao papaya salad, mango dango and sticky rice (this was for only two people 😋). Everything was delicious but our faves were the wings, mango dango and lao papaya salad. We were served right away so we were able to eat quickly and go back home to the South Bay with plenty of leftovers in hand. I will come back here whenever I'm back in the area.

2nd time here. It’s ok so far 👌

UPDATE: went from 4 stars to 2 stars. Went back twice more. Food and service went down. We were really hoping to stick here but will keep looking.

I come here for the mid pad Thai. They have some of the best pad Thai in town. Staff The spice level can get pretty hot and overpower the taste of the pad Thai. I would highly recommend a 1-2 spice level.

Our order was wrong. We didn't realize it until we got back to the city. The pad thai was pinkish looking 😳 we didn't get the fried rice but got pad see ewe instead.

Damn I don’t even know where to start. Worst Pad Thai I’ve ever had and I’ve been to Georgia.... The coloring is way off... felt like I had gone to Walmart and picked up a microwaveable pad Thai dish. Those who rated this place 4/5 shame on you. The drunken noodles were ok, not the best either.

Food is delicious. Staff is friendly. Owner seem like a genuinely good-hearted person. Well totally recommend for anyone who loves thai/lao food.

Best Thai place in 916 area hands down!! I love love love their customer service for one and the food is amazing!! Sister in law and I always went for the papaya platter. I love the laab, delicious! I’m sure they remember who I am. I’m so happy I live close by. If you haven’t tried this place, it’s a must! They are so welcoming and such great cooks. Thank you guys for always feeding me!! 😍😜

Food was really good but service can be very easily overwhelmed by customer flow. The spice scale is 1-5 and 1 was plenty spicy. Start with that before you venture higher.

This is one of the best Thai Halal places I have seen in the area. Service is good, food is served without much wait. Very friendly servers. Good tasty fresh food. Portions are also generous.
