Hello Changs Thai Cuisine. Our first time in to try your food. We were greeted as we entered the dining room, welcome in, for here or to go ? We seated ourselves, service sketchy at first. Then, I believe the owner assisted the younger lady working. She needs a little more refinement on her serving technique.
All is good. Beef satay was good and the sweet and sour house Dipping Sauce was good. Geen curry chicken was good, but a little sweet for my taste. My wife's noodles were good.
Overall we will be back to try something new.
The shopping center/and restaurants Plaza is very nice. Fountain, seating, multiple choices. Check it out.

I love this place we have been going since the first week they opened up. We always get the pot stickers.... They are always hot and tasty! I love the Thai Basil Fried Rice and my wife has gotten the Pad Thai and Green Curry. Everything is fresh and the service is outstanding! The owner saw me and always says hello now! Very nice and highly recommended! Support local family owned businesses! It takes a lot to open a restaurant and this place deserves local love! It's a nice little restaurant!
I ordered pineapple fried rice and chicken satay. I didn’t look at the prices and I should have. The prices for this place are very high. I had high hopes because Siamese street in Stockton has amazing pineapple fried rice. Also my husband has had Thai in Davis at Sophia’s Thai kitchen. He also agreed prices were very high and the portions were small for the price. The pineapple fried rice lacked flavor. It had 6-7 pieces of pineapple and half were core and not edible. I buy and eat pineapple constantly from Walmart, Sam’s, Costco. This pineapple was terrible. I felt like they were charging premium prices for sub par ingredients. I’m betting part of the lack of flavor is the terrible pineapple they are using. My husband even looked up the prices of Sophia’s for the chicken satay and it’s $9 compared to $13.45 I was charged and he was pretty sure you get 5 skewers instead of 4. He also said they taste better there. I would have tried other dishes if these were good but I won’t be back. The pineapple fried rice with chicken was 16.45 I believe and they charge 4% for using a credit card on top of this.
We came here for the first time and everything we ordered was perfect. We ordered Pad Se Eew, Pad Thai and Tom yum. Their Tom yum soup is the best that we have tasted. The owner and staff are friendly and nice. Strongly recommend.
Excellent customer service, the chicken chow mein, and potstickers were delicious!! will definitely be returning here again.

Food was solid but menus don't show pricing. A bit overpriced for a weekend lunch.
green curry, red curry and pad thai. all were perfect. friendly staff, option for outdoor seating.
The owner and staff were so hospitable and kind to us. And the food was fantastic and so tasty. We ordered the cashew mango and panang curry, which we highly recommend.
The level of care in service of their customers was just unparalleled.

First time here & the food was absolutely amazing! It was fresh hot & flavorful! We got the chicken chow Mein, chicken sweet & sour, chicken pad Thai, chicken drunken noodles, shrimp chow Mein & chicken pod stickers, & everything was just absolutely amazing! We got mild for everything but it still had some kick to it! Can not wait to come back & bring my family!
The young girl that took our order was really kind! The customer service is another reason why I will be back! Can’t wait to try the rest of their menu!
I recently stumbled into this restaurant i was very impressed with the the customer service . the female employee was very sweet and accommodating , they closed at 330 monday -Friday and reopen at 430 however the young lady took our order even though she was going on her break . i didn’t catch her name but she was mixed , tall with curly hair . She recommended us the tomyum soup with seafood combo it was amazing 10/10 . Also love that they have diversity in their restaurant as a woman of color it amazing seeing people that look like me and children in asian restaurants as we have been discrimination in other thai restaurants .
TERRIBLE SERVICE and an UNINVITING ATMOSPHERE. Came in today with my family who came into town for lunch. The place was empty. 2 workers were sitting on a front table filling sauce containers and did not greet us or say anything. I asked if the restaurant was open and they just said yes. I asked if they could clean the table we were going to sit at because it hadn’t been cleaned and was given an attitude. After the table was cleaned we sat down. No one came to us for 15 minutes. Someone else came in during that time and was greeted and they took their order. Not sure what the deal was but we decided to leave.
Of note, one of the workers kept staring at us and never said anything. Felt quite uncomfortable. Looking at similarities to other reviews of this restaurant, I can’t help but notice some racism towards darker toned individuals. DO NOT come here. Spend your money elsewhere
Food is great but service is no good. On top of poor service they charge a service charge even though I tip well.
Our large order was canceled because they ran out of one item, which was a letdown and wasted our time. Not a great experience.
The female waiter/cashier is master at providing horrible service! She took our order after 15 minutes of being seated, didn’t provide nor offer any water, She brought us half our order accompanied with the bill and then had us wait 20 minutes for the rest of our order to come because she didn’t put our whole order in, once we received all our food she said I couldn’t pay at the table I would have to pay at register, I looked at the bill and she had the nerve to include 23 percent Gratuity for herself on the bill. SMH
I always enjoy Changs Thai. I have tried many things on the menu, and all have been great! Some favorites include fresh rolls (with the best peanut sauce around), drunken noodles, panang curry, and eggplant. The people who run it are also very nice, so although we get take out often, it's always nice to dine in.
Pad thai: they forgot my cashews 😅
It was tangy, excellent balance of flavors. I recommend not going past 'medium' for levels of spiciness, otherwise you'll only taste the heat and not the other 4 S's a thai dish contains.
It's.. really quiet in there, could use some music?.. 😬
It's a neat little quiet place though,
The woman who serves me may come off as rude to extra sensitive people, but she's really thoughtful and lovely. 😆 give her a break, English is her 2nd.. or 3rd langauge.
I've tried many different thai places, this is the one with my 2nd favorite pad thai recipe thus far. Glad I didn't grubhub today. ☺️
Average Thai food. Employees wearing very casual clothes (playboy shirt) is kind of unprofessional.
The vegetarian dishes were little too salty for our family. But the service was so good. That's why I gave a 5 stars! Thanks for your accommodation!
Nice place, owner is sweet.
Got the pad se ew and it had no flavor.
Bummer the reviews I read before hand did not go up to expectations.
Many downtown Thai spots easily beat this place.
Also ,I did a to go order and was kind to still leave a tip but the woman up front didn’t even sound nice or said thank you etc. customer service is not there.
Best Thai Food in California, Me and my friends love this place. Whenever we goto Sacramento Changs Thai is a Must for us… delicious food.
Dinner and server were great! Thank you Changs for a pleasant experience
To everyone reading in the comments that they are expensive or overcharge. It’s true. They are more pricey but that’s fine. The food was amazing. The Thai tea even better. We will be coming back!
Get the Thai tea
Food is alway fresh and the service is great
Went here with a friend & it was our first time. The food is really good and refreshing. I don't mind going here again 😋😊👍
The restaurant was clean, the food was delicious and fast! The milk ice tea was delicious.
Highly recommended!
I love the Thai cuisine and for extra bonus they serve halal meat.
I don’t normally write reviews and like to give the benefit of the doubt to new places but this was far below my expectations. I went here for the first time since Bangkok Garden (my favorite) and Thai Spoon had wait times greater than 30 minutes for takeout. I ordered the Pad thai which was absolutely disgusting, it both looked and tasted like spaghetti sauce and the rice noodles were cut up really small! I also ordered the pineapple fried rice that had a hickory smoky flavor to it. Never again! I wish I had been more patient and just waited at my normal Thai spots…lesson learned. smh…
They over charge for any thing thats why they have not so many customers busy time charge for using cridet card bill come different then listed price.what a repoff.if not believe what I am saying go there and check it out.
Fried rice
Drunken noodles
Yellow curry
Everything there is a must try ! Soooo good and yummy
Oh and can’t forget about the Thai tea !
First time here ordered Halal food so tasty & delicious
I really wanted to like this place. I ordered online for pick up. The curry, and the noodles were very bland.
the owner was so nice and helpful not to mention that the food was some of the best thai food i’ve had in a while.
Very good halaal dishes. Spicy. Manager is friendly.
Always good!
My first time eating here and it was spectacular.....I ordered the Thai basil rice and the yellow curry with added broccoli. Delicioso! I thoroughly enjoy every bite and hope to be in the area again ASAP so I can try another dish. Definitely do yourself a flavor and come check this spot out!😋
Always come here for good Halal Thai food
Food is fresh and fullmof taste. Servi g crew is very friendly.
Green curry was basically 90% water, terrible. Yellow curry was tasty but they filled the container with nothing but potato. The pad thai was the only thing that I would come back for.
Great fried rice and Thai tea!
I ordered the spicy basil, wife ordered green curry and nephew got chow mein . Our food was so incredibly flavorful and delicious. My food was really spicy and the owner noticed i was sweating a little, she offered to remake my plate for a milder version. Told her that I love my plate and the spice is just perfect and not to mind my sweating. The owner over head my wife and nephew talking about my birthday so she brought over a complimentary serving of sticky rice with mango and a scoop of green tea ice cream to cure my spicy food. Love this place, will definitely be back when in town.
Spice and flavors are spot on. Great service and priced right. Next time I’m in Sacramento I’ll be popping in.
Great food ans service. Highly recommended for Thai food
Best Thai food I have had in years. And the service was amazing. The woman who took care of us was super sweet and helpful.
Good food
Meats are halal and they halal certificate . Food was great too with enough spices
My first the best Thai food restaurant. Never like Thai food before. some dishes are smaller portion per price still very deli tasty food it is why not 5-star. Will eat there again again with different kind of food on menu. Saw many Asians eating/coming even closing time.
Food was ok...added to much veggies to the chow mein not enough noodles. Menu was a lil confusing to read. Over all it was an ok restaurant.
Food is really delicious
Large servings and full of flavor.
I had bought some pineapple fried rice from this place through door dash a few days ago and absolutely loved it so I bought some today while I am working at my computer. Half way through eating the fried rice I munch on something weird... there were chunks of egg shells mixed in the rice. I had to look through the rest of the rice to see if there were more. I am really disappointed because out of all the Thai places that have pineapple fried rice in sacramento, this one was my favorite.
I placed my order online via their website.
I ordered salad rolls, drunken noodles with no onions and add shrimp for three dollars more.and a side of Peanut sauce for three dollars.
I get to the restaurant and there were two people in front of me both with mixed up orders.
Not a great impression.
I get home and there are onions in my food, only two shrimp that I paid three dollars for.
They put the warm peanut sauce in with the cold salad rolls.
After picking out all the onions I do have to say the food was good.
But I doubt I will be giving them a second chance.
Food was excellent! I ordered the sweet and sour chicken with pork fried rice. This was a lunch special. Price was very affordable. If I wasn’t visiting, I would eat here often!
Changs Thai is the bomb! I totally understand why it got so many 5 stars. The food is super super delicious. I tried their red curry and pad Thai and they totally rock! And the good service was a big plus!
I was ceaving for real authentic Thai food, which I haven't had for the last ten years due to being in South Korea and Japan. Because of COVID-19, no dine-in was offered, but you can order to go and eat on the outide terrace area. The food was good, especially the Pad Thai.
Great garlic rice
Decent Thai option next to Tesla Supercharger.
I liked this Thai Restaurant. It is a small place. It has good Tom Yum soup. The people are very nice.
Pineapple rice was burnt, Pad Thai was soupy and the portion is small, this was a huge turn off for me personally. The yellow curry was mostly watered down coconut milk unfortunately. The customer service is very much lacking. We had to get the attention of the server sitting down at a table with their back to us just to get our drinks. This is a place I will not visit again. Tables are dirty and not wiped down well.
Things that we order were not as good as we thought
This restaurant and the people who own / operate it are truly amazing, sincere, and hospitable. I came in kind of late on a rainy night 20 minutes before they were closing, but they took care of me and told me not to rush—it was so warm.
I ordered pad thai and pot stickers (which were some of the best in the country) and I’ve traveled through Thailand so I know authentic Thai cuisine.
But, it doesn’t stop there. After the meal, I left the restaurant and stood outside under their roof to wait for my Lyft. A lady (I think the owner) came outside and asked me to come stand inside because it was raining. I don’t remember such warmth in hospitality and the restaurant business in my entire life. These are a special group of people and I truly wish them the best in their lives and business.
The food was good, the services was lacking (the 4th time I asked for a Thai spice tray they brought it to me.) A friend ordered mild heat on their cury it was hotter than my medium hot.
The place was cold and drafty and sat far from the door.
But the food was good. With so many choices in the area I wont go back.
The food was actually pretty good aside from the fact that the order of sticky rice I got was literally so hard it was uneatable. I let the lady know and she still charged me for it. Also the service was not great they didn’t come check on us one time.
You guys gotta try to the pineapple fried rice
So delicious. The place looked extremely clean and the staff was super friendly and nice!! And know that the portions are huge! So order wisely!
Its okay
Very good Thai place and excellent customer service
Foods awesome service could be a bit better
good place definitely recommend the chicken pad se ew and mango sticky rice!!
Great customer service! Although I arrived shortly before they were closing, the waiter did not rush me and was very attentive. The Thai Basil with chicken was delicious. I would definitely come again to try other dishes.
Tasty food. But the quantity of meat given with the dish is small. Other than that lunch is reasonably priced and service is excellent. The owner herself comes out to find out if the food was good or not. I tried the panang curry and pad Thai. You can try them with your choice of meat (beef, chichen or shrimp) or you can just order veggie. They have a stamp card where they give you 1 free dinner or lunch if you dine 8 or 9 times.
Wonderful service. Fabulous food. Especially live the chicken panang! Highly recommended.
Best tasting Pad Thai ever!
Was visiting Sac for work - stopped by for lunch - food was GREAT and the service was awesome.
Outstanding food and services I will definitely be back 😆😚😀😁
Very nice service the food it's very good flavor and quality are just excelent 👌👌👌👍
Excellent fried rice
Ok food, could have been spicier, Krapao needed more basil for my taste. Service was good.
Amazing food
food is very good. we will definitely coming back.
The drunken noodles and Pad Thai were great. Service was fast. Our server was great.
Our Favorite Thai food in Sacramento! Awesome food, friendly service.
Awesome thai food
I had the Thai Rice with beef and it was delicious. I will come back.
Tom yum, chicken pad se ew, chicken green bean were good. The spring rolls were meh.
Tasty fried rice
Never a bad experience! Love this place.... An the owner is wonderful!😊
I love this place we have been going since the first week they opened up. We always get the pot stickers.... They are always hot and tasty! Have amazing food...havent had Thai in my life and the food here got me hooked. The meat here is Halal too. The owner is super friendly and there is a warm vibe that comes from this restaurant.
Really delicious Thai food. Super nice staff. Recommended.
Chicken soup was the best overall food and customer service was good #eatoutside #datenight
simply delicious, red curry
#eatoutside
SO GOOD! We ordered a curry and drunken noodles dish. Can't wait to go back. Recommended!
Very good and authentic Thai food. Certified halal meats and they do not serve pork. I eat here quite often. Highly recommend. Try their currys and pad thai with chicken.
Love Changs Thai Cuisine! Great family establishment, great food, great service! The owner is so sweet and knows all of her customers personally! Highly recommend! My wife and I are regulars.
Food was good. Service was friendly, but food was slow coming out on the night we were there.
The food was great, the wait was short, and the service was excellent! While at the restaurant, I learned that the woman helping my wife and I was also the owner of the establishment. After placing our order, we chatted for a bit and learned that she had previously managed a local Thai restaurant for several years before going out to open her own restaurant. You could tell how hard the she works and how passionate she is about running her business. We will absolutely be back to support this local businesswoman the next time we're in the mood for Thai!
Good food
Clean, great thai food at reasonable prices and extremely friendly staff that remember customers each time they come in.
When ever I missed Thai food or being lazy to make one, I order from them. It's halal. The lady , I think her name is Jen is very friendly. The food was good. I got complimentary appetizer on Mother's day. My family favorite are Pad Thai, and beef fried rice. I also love their fish cake.
Cheap price and good food. The owner is very nice too.
Great real authentic Thai food.
Chicken Satay is good. Pad Thai is ok, tasted like sweet and sour instead of sweet and spicy. Pad Se Ew is dry, beef was way overcook. Yum Woon Sen Ground is okay. May go back to try their Curry next time.
My husband and I came in tonight based on the 4.5 star rating, and we will not be back. Customer service was non-existent, and the food was subpar. When we walked in, we were greeted only with a stare, and only after we said hi she asked if it was for there or to-go. Shortly after we ordered our food, a big group came in and sat. Somehow, they had their food before we did even though it was only the two of us and we ordered first. We ordered the chicken satay for an appetizer, but it came out at the same time as my pad thai. My husband's mixed seafood pad se ew came out later. The pad thai was entirely too sweet, and missing the tang of the tamarind. We were only checked on once during our meal, and none of the dirty dishes were cleared. No one ever asked if we wanted refills on our water or drinks. When we were done with our food, we sat there for almost 15 minutes to which again, no one came to clear dishes, ask if we wanted boxes, or bring the check. I had to go to the counter to ask for two boxes. I thought at that point they would see we were ready for the check, but again we sat and waited but the check didn't come. The server passed us by several times without a glance (she also never smiled once). We finally flagged her down and asked if we should just go to the front to pay or if they would bring a check and she just said it didn't matter, so we went to the front to pay, and left.
Also, my husband has a steel stomach especially when it comes to seafood, but I will just say his stomach was not happy and he had to use the restroom immediately upon arriving home. Definitely cannot recommend this place to anyone.
Food is excellent and my fave place to order from when in Sacramento. However, the same dishes are different each time... A sign of fresh ingredients I guess but having twice ordered the same level of heat in pineapple fried rice this week (hot), and the first time it being on fire, (wonderful) the second not spicy at all, not in the slightest (both tasty), and the thickess of the parang curry also being different in both occasions, a little more consistency would be be great!
Fried tofu starter is perfect tho a little confusing on how many pieces per order.
These comments relate to orders sent through DoorDash and not placed in person.
Not bad food
Great food, service and prices.
Came in for the lunch special and had the yellow curry and thai fried rice. Really good! I like that they bring out the spices so you can make your dish as spicey as you like. The family that runs it is very nice too, we didn't realize they were closing for their afternoon break but they still sat us.
Unbelievably good food at reasonable prices. The people are friendly and helpful. Our go to place for Thai!
Terrific food.
My favorite halal thai place in Northern California. BBQ half chicken, pad thai and egg fried rice one of my favs
Some great food here, small place but great food..
The food was good but the prices are high and portions small. They yellow curry was ok except for the burned pieces from the bottom of the pot were transferred to the take out container. I will stick with Thai Spoon.
Didn't know how it would compare to other Thai places in the area, and by far it's become my favorite since it's opened here. Also has the best and friendliest service!
I had the larb. It was just like my Thai girlfriend used to make for me. It was very good.
The best Thai food in Natomas!
Best Thai food I've had and I live in Hawaii where there are a lot of Thai restaurants. Had the Pad Thai, eggplant and fried rice. Owner was very friendly.
Excellent green curry with eggplant and good service.
Super nice lady at the counter. I was in a huge rush and not able to wait the expected 15 minutes for my take-out. The lady taking my order arranged with the cook to have it done in less time and I only had to wait 5 minutes. Kudos for the excellent customer service!
Great restaurant and great food , if your in town stop by and eat there.
