Mellow, airy eatery with an informal feel specializing in ramen & Asian fusion specialties.
My wife and I love coming here for Ramen. It's so yummy. Also had a chance to try the Pot Stickers and Mao Mao this time. Which were so delicious and cripsy. I love the side sauce they come with as well. Miso Tori with garlic and carrots added is my favorite. They have a really good happy hour as well. Plus, they are open until late at night. So, you can get really good food rather than drive-through!
The whole place is cold. I don't think they have the heater on in the middle of winter. The deco is nice.
The food itself was so salty. I'm disgusted with myself for eating it. I didn't even drink the liquid broth (which smelled fishing as a pork broth ? And was not egg yolk color as in the picture ) and just sadly ate my food cuz it would be crazy to walk out. I could not mask the fishy clear broth with chili because you have to pay for chili oil and any additional spices that would have helped me cut the salt.
I am never coming back here again but it's my fault for trying something new.
We left a 18% tip as socially required but realistically he did nothing but bring the food out.
came here as a surprise. Love the atmosphere and service. Greeted instantly upon arrival and sat quickly. Server was very friendly and was always asked if we needed anything. Love the way the drinks look and food was great. Only took one star off the since I wasn’t the biggest fan of the noodle. Also had a nice opportunity for some drinks with a live performance!
The atmosphere was in fact very zen. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because no one greeted us upon arrival and the way you have to order is through QR code and either our phone service or the link was super slow. After trying multiple times to order finally someone came out to take our order. The food was delicious. We ordered the mushrooms tempura, the shrimp tempura, pot stickers, teriyaki chicken with fried rice, falling Ramen and the volcanic Ramen. The Ramen was my favorite. The mushroom tempura was cold in the middle.
Very tasty shoyu and miso chicken ramen
Make me wait forever , wasted a lot of my time .
Lots of variety of food but every dish was bland.
Pad thai
Yakisoba

The server is nice and friendly but the food is too salty and noodle is stick together
Awesome place friendly people ,service and good food
After all this time it's existed, my wife and I finally decided to try it. We both wanted Thai and saw that they offer that, sushi and other Japanese dishes, and ramen.
The menu looked awesome, so many good looking items. She settled on curry, I got ramen, and we split a sushi roll.
The roll was decent. It was well made, but I find sushi places taste better. The ramen was also decent, never my favorite, and in my opinion, could have used more veggies, but my wife's curry was all dark meat chicken. This is a first, Thai is usually white meat. It was very unappetizing.
Inside, it was far from cozy, instead it looked like it was trying to be trendy, with distressed wood paneling and bare concrete floors.
Service was ok. They were understaffed, it looked like there was one server and one cook. And the cook was making each dish and then bringing it out one by one. My ramen came 10 minutes before my wife's curry.
Overall, we weren't enthusiastic about it and won't be returning.
I ordered the chicken ramen . It was extremely under cooked , the vegetables tasted like I was taking a veggie out of the fridge and taking a bite into it , and the noodles were so pasty it made it hard to eat . I left the whole bowl behind .
Our waiter was also a bit pushy and in the end it was 30 min before we got our tab.
The only good thing was appetizer
Great price! Great service! Even better food! It was all very satisfying and delicious. I would recommend it.
Food is always great, and great customer service
1st time coming here and the food and service was wonderful. I will be back
Delicious food!!
Love it
Great ramen and dumplings! The tako yaki is amazing and so are the drinks!
Ken was our server and he was great!!! This place has emaculate vibes!!! And great energy. And awesome place to hand our with friends!!!
Great food. Open late as well. Stop by for lunch, dinner or even a late night snack.
Really good food! Super cool vibe and the owner is very nice. Great service!
This place is amazing! The food and the vibes were on point!!! Thank you for your great service! 😊
Amazing red curry & pad see ew!! Great presentation & lovely vibes with the staff. Love the atmosphere too; very comfortable & just a great place to hang with friends all around. You gotta check it out!!
I've never been there before and I went there for the first time and it was so good! I've never had ramen like that before and it was so good I enjoyed it! Definitely going back!
Ramen not that good, tasted like boiled spaghetti noodles, not the alkaline tasting noodles. Mediocre for the price. Don't recommend.
I have ordered from here twice. Had the pork buns, spicy miso and drunken ramen. Soooo good! I would have had it many more times but due to it being closed a few days a week, I seemed to always be craving it on an off day 🥲 as far as the temperature of the food, even with delivery I received perfectly heated food every time. I would definitely recommend.
Ordered a tori ramen togo right after work. I waa looking for a place to get some soup since I was feeling sick and thought to try out the spot since its near home.
The enviroment and vibe is nice but I believe the portions are small for the $14 price and with my cold hard boiled egg, more reason to believe that its not freshly made.
Im willing to try again another day to see if its just a one time mishap, but not very satisfied with this purchase.
Literally Just left this place!
My husband and I have been wanting to go here and try it.
First we were seated & was told the waitress will be right with us.
We sat for at least 20 mins waiting & was not recognizing by anyone else but the waitress took the other two people order & still no acknowledgement of I'll be right with you or anything. I can see them in the back talking and basically doing nothing My husband, cousin and I just got frustrated and left. As we walked out, we were then asked if we need help all of a sudden.
We went to another Ramen spot we usually eat at Otsuka Ramen & Bar.
We will not be returning!
Sashimi was fresh.
The dumplings was fried but ok.
The noodles was good except the broth on all our soups ( 5 total ) was missing something.
Service very good.
My special needs child asked their transgender waitress if he was a boy and we got refused service for my nieces bday. Absolutely pathetic. Your identity crisis should not be reflected on our service. We were a party of 10. Business lost and will never return. As for the server, you work in public if you choose to be out in the open you should be prepared for any comments or questions that come your way. This was a honest question from a child with special needs. Not malicious in any way.
This place was great! The vibe was so cool!! Games were provided so that was a cool quirk. Service was slow but it was worth it for the ramen .
Great customer service! Mia and Christopher were very nice and friendly.
Food was good, staff was very friendly, but not very efficient. The place was busy, and shared to be possibly understaffed
We love it here!
They have recently expanded their menu and everything we tried was delicious!
The owner is usually there or she will leave it in her staff's very capable hands.
The food is consistently good and pricing is very reasonable. The owner is happy to accept feedback which is perfect for this little locals' place.
The ramen is great here!
Finally checked this place out. Now I'm mad it took us so long. Prices are reasonable, service was friendly and the food was DELICIOUS! We found our new ramen spot ❤️
No good
atmosphere was nice and calm. Got the ramen lava-men. It was very mushy and was very much like spaghetti. The egg was cold and the meat was undercooked. They did let us know before hand they were backed up so we were patient. There was a larger group and only one server but seemed almost like the food was rushed at the end but we waited almost 40 min? We had to leave with our bowls full because it was overwhelming.
Went here for lunch. Experienced a bad odor when we walked in. Food was tasteless. Nothing like Thai.
My wife and I love coming here for Ramen. It's so yummy. Also had a chance to try the Pot Stickers and Mao Mao this time. Which were so delicious and cripsy. Great food!
Such a hidden gem in Riverside. Everything here is so amazing!! Waiting and planning another day to come back.
The ramen was very good! I would recommend adding the chili bomb to your ramen if you really like spicy. I got the vegetarian ramen and a peach soju cocktail. The only thing that was bad was there were three different songs playing in 3 different areas but it wasn't a big deal because the other 2 weren't loud.
It was hot in yere service could be alot better, seriously ive had better Ramen.
Loved this place!!!! Great food!!! So impressed!! Customer service beyond above average!!! Best date night ever!!
Tonkutsu Ramen
came here as a surprise.
The chicken bowl was delicious!!
It is one of the best ramen restaurants in the I.E.
LOVE this Ramen house,
Beautiful delicious food,
Staff are very friendly and attentive!
Terrific location across from Riverside plaza! Definitely a must try!!
Amazing experience I wish I could give more then 5 stars the staff is great atmosphere is awesome and the food is absolutely amazing would recommend zen street for anyone looking for food that’s super filling my girlfriend rates 12/10
Best ramen in the area for sure
Not very nice
Not bad love the Thai tea
Ramen was great and the make your own bowl feature makes this a phenomenal place to take the pickiest of Ramen eaters, plus you can see exactly what you're paying for.
Service was minimal but quick at getting us our food and drinks.
:( found a few little dead "critters" in the restroom made me lose my appetite... Good people but can't eat there again...
Nice place, good food, pleasant service
Ok so found this place and they have some pretty damn great Ramen. It actually got me to go back and back. Plus it's a chill vibe
Yummy ramen!
You get there and nobody greets you, no interpersonal communication at all and then you have to fill your own order on a kiosk… took my number and sat myself down. Ramen I ordered had two pieces of meat in it, stale mushrooms and broth was lacking any real flavor. For nearly $20 a bowl this place is NOT worth it.. gave it a second try after having another bad experience and yup still 👎🏼 would not recommend.. Over rated hipster spot.
Been coming here since it opened and the owner does the cooking herself most of the time. It has been delicious since the start. Never fails to leave me full and happy! I hope she has business for a long time!
The BEST ramen restaurant I have ever had. Definitely recommend.
Great tasting food and great service even the price is nice too!!!! Try it you won't be disappointed.
I've always passed this place hoping to try it and now I did ☺️. I went during a regular work day so it was empty when I arrived I was greeted by my host and she was so nice. She started me off by giving me Yuzu tea (so good). You are able to order from the table via QR code or on the kiosk. I ordered the tonkotsu with extra egg, seaweed and mushroom and it was delicious I also ended up taking tempura mushrooms and let me tell you it was so good! Will definitely go again and try new items. Recommend you order the Yuzu with butterfly pea flower so refreshing and good.
Ramen was too oily and bland at the same time. Left a nasty film in your mouth.
Also there's a service charge for ordering either thru the kiosk or online and there's no way around it
Flavorless. Very disappointed
Really really good ramen! Must try!
No bolba in the bolba Milk tea. The vegetales were old and tasted like they were spoiling, The noodles were ok at best, and the egg white was brown. Wasted $25. Hubby split his dinner with me from the chinese place down the street. First and last time, it's a hard pass for me.
Great service, great food & atmosphere...perfect date spot if you're into those things!
Electronic ordering at the table via a QR code, so bring a cellphone in with you!
One star off as the takoyaki tastes nothing authentic and is too sweet. Like a wet sweet dough topped with honey mayo.
The ramens are tasty and beautiful under the sunset from window seats. Volcanic ramen is savory but too heavy for me. I ordered the sober ramen (lots of veggies!!).
Stopped by this place as we were passing through Riverside and it did not disappoint!
The ramen was delicious but the REAL surprise were the lemonades! I got strawberry lemonade and my friend got peach lemonade. They came in big 20 oz mason jars and they were THE BEST LEMONADES WE'VE EVER HAD, and I'm a lemonade aficionado—I always choose lemonade when it's an option at any restaurant.
The ramen was of course delicious (especially the egg!), but be careful - it comes a little spicy by default unless you specify "no spice". I like a little spice but my mouth was definitely feeling it by the bottom of the bowl—very glad we had the 20oz lemonades!
It did feel a little weird having no interactions with staff besides them bringing you the food, but it was just as easy as ordering online, which we've all been doing for 2+ years now anyway.
Food and service was Awesome! Very relaxing vibe.
Found this place online we absolutely love it! Great Ramen my daughter loves it! And she’s a tough critic! Found our new Ramen place. Great service the lady at the counters amazing
Food flavor was okay, no issue there. The restaurant closes at 10pm. I placed and order for additional food using the QR code around 9:35pm. Around 9:50pm I decided to ask the waitress if my order of dumplings was almost out as it shouldn't take that long to cook dumplings. The waitress goes back into the kitchen and out comes another employee who tells me they are closed and no longer making food. Note, I had placed the order with plenty of time and even then the restaurant was still open according to their hours sign. So because everything is placed and charged to your credit card using some online system, I wasn't able to remove the additional order that was not prepared for me. I ask one of the employees for assistance. She removes the extra order from my tab and charges me. I later get home and check the receipt that gets emailed to you and found out that the employee gave herself a tip without my approval. Pretty upset about that. Not only did I not get full and have to make a detour to Jack in the Box, but on top of that I felt like I was robbed of a few extra dollars.
First time coming here..first red flag..it was empty and dead..then we got our food and went home my steamed buns were obviously microwaved they were burnt on the inside and the bun was rock hard couldn't eat it my kids ramen the pork was over cooked and was so tough they couldn't chew it
The atmosphere was in fact very zen.
I went last tuesday before my work shift. It was my first time stopping by. I placed the order on a kiosk and I saw a couple already getting their food. I had a question on the ordering kiosk so I asked an employee. They were honest with me saying they were still new. He came back with the answer then I finalized my order. I enjoyed the dim lighting and the view of the street. I ordered the Spicy Miso Soup and it for sure had a kick of spice and I liked the noodles. I will definitely be back!
Waited over an hour after my order was suppose to be ready. And the order was wrong.
The service is great self serve station is self explanatory for is delicious 100% will be back !!!
Great food and nice employees
Beautiful presentation of food, fantastic service and it ALWAYS tastes good. I've been here on special occasions and casually since I live close by, you won't find better ramen anywhere else. The rice bowls are a good gluten free option!
Best ramen I’ve had in a while! The vibe of the place is awesome too. Super nice server, & also not crowded so it was as the name implies. A really zen experience!
One of the few places I've found for some truly good Ramen in the IE.
Kaz Ramen was better. Grouded pork should not be a thing
Shell in my food ! Didn't notice till I was eating my leftovers. Took Forever to get food! Forgot to add spicy pork to my bowl !Pork Buns had cold spots! Added garlic made unbearable and spicy ! Self serve station is unsanitary. .Cost was $55 for two people.. Will NOT return EVER ! Save your money and eat TapRamen.
Amazing Ramen, if you enjoy spice try the volcanic. Great atmosphere and service along with ramen. This will be a regular spot for the family and myself.
First time here and I’ll be back!
Love the self-ordering kiosk.
The whole menu is there and each item has a description making it easy to know what you’d like to order.
Only critique is that there wasn’t soy sauce, chili oil, or chili sauce on the table and the quantities are also very small and prepackaged.
They disconnected their phone so you can't call ahead. Also they are uneducated on what is in there food. If you can't have gluten or a vegan I wouldn't recommend going here at all!
I can make better cup of noodles at home. Don't trust these reviews
They have changed to a kiosk system to eat. It reminds me a lot pf japan where you would simply order on a machine, sit down and eat your food and leave when done. The drunken ramen was delicious as ever.
The food was good. Prepare for $30 for two people meal.
Falling RamenSpicy Miso RamenTonkotsu Ramen
I was really excited about eating some ramen here. I hadn't been here in over a year or two but from what I remembered the broth was best in the area. Unfortunately something has changed and I was disappointed. We all had three kinds of ramen and almost all of them were pretty bland. I always get the Spicy Miso but it didn't have any kick to it. The Falling Ramen was the most tasteless of all but the Tonkotsu at least had a good pork flavor. The noodles in all of them were thin and tasted like plastic. The service was good and our food was brought out quickly, but I just couldn't get over the lack of the quality ramen that I was expecting. I hope they bring the delicious ramen back.
Great soup but I dropped one of my eggs 😥
Our food was served 25 minutes after we placed the order even though it was just the 2 of us inside the restaurant. When it came out it looks like they just slap our food together and it tasted horrible. I have been to a lot of Ramen restaurants this one is #1 Worst Ramen ever. Don't recommend eating here you would be very disappointed!
There was a cook who wasn't very friendly (or they would have got 5 stars) but the cashier was very sweet and so helpful! She is the reason for these stars. The food was pretty good. Not the kind to knock my socks off but it was good. (:
I would recommend it if that cashier was there every time (:
She was skinny, short, colorful hair (unfortunately don't remember her name, sorry)
Decent noodle shop
Good food , my lady is chinese, she liked the stirr fried noodles.. That's all I need to know
Didn't taste fresh at all.....
Good food , Nice Atmosphere , CLOSE to freeway.
Place was kinda dead on a Friday night and it still took almost an hour for our food to come.
awful, very salty and the broth of my beef soup tasted like popsicle sticks and super overpriced
This place is hyped for no reason. The soup is either flavorless or overly salted. The prices are also ridiculous.
Decided to try Zen Street, it was a mistake. My vegetables tasted like mold. When I asked my boyfriend to try it just in case it was just me he confirmed it was off. I love ramen and enjoy the broth after I'm done with the noodles but the flavor was horrible. I also ordered beef and got pork instead. Will not go back, very disappointed at the ramen and the fact we spent a good amount of money on it.
Rude people work there, they are slow as hell and wonder answer questions when asked. DO NOT GO!!!!!!
The food is always so tasty and the staff is always friendly
Very good food! Great service as well!
Got ramen to go here on Saturday. Service was great but the ramen was severely over salted, like too salty to eat and the pork was over cooked and tough.
The food wasn't expensive as it seemed. Ramen prices range from $11-$13 max. Me and my bf had great service. I got the falling Ramen and he got the spicy miso Ramen. Putting 4 stars because the Ramen itself would be 4 stars. If you're a person who likes spice, then you should ask for extra spice like we did. I recommend adding an egg, it was soft boiled and really tasty. The best part of the Ramen would be the beef or pork(or that egg). There's seating outside as well as inside.
Great ramen, and great service.
They had very friendly helpful staff.
There aren’t very many good ramen places in riverside, but this one is definitely worth a stop. The staff were very pleasant and polite, especially the server up front. He was very knowledgeable and even recommended the right dish according to our likings. He certainly deserved a great tip for wonderful genuine customer service. The Thai tea was amazing, very refreshing, sweet and flavorful! We had the spicy miso ramen and the spice was just enough to taste and enjoy that kick. The plain ramen had a tasty rich broth without the additions, for those who may not want it. The customer service alone was enough to leave a lasting impression. Definitely coming back for the delicious food as well!!
Not my cup of tea
It's ok. Broth is the best part of their ramen
Great food!
They are refusing the restroom service because is "under construction", the restaurants are having problems due to the contingency and not letting customers not using the restrooms is a suicidal practice, I will not return to this restaurant.
Love the food !
Nice and relaxing.
Zen street has been one of my local favorites. The service has always been amazing. And since coming back for dining after this Covid-19 I think they are the most amazing. Ramen in the IE. I want all of Riverside I support them during these times. Come dine in or Carry out. They are always so helpful and friendly. The Hot Sake is amazing too!😏 so come in and show them how much you love them!
Great experience. I feel a little more hip and definitely better for having eaten a filling meal that was deliscious. They serve up some types of boba teas I have never been offered before. The one i had a was a but sweet and amazing. The place has a simple menu and from my experience it works well. Sticky buns were delightful when eaten fresh and hot as intended. The Miso noodle I had with pork comes with pickled egg was great. Felt like just the right size to be filling but not enough to make you feel uncomfortable. It was not busy time of day and the service was great. A great mix of friendly authentic and proficient. I saw this place in a book given to me by my real estate agent James Monks at Windemere Real Estate here in Riverside as a house warming gift. I can see myself coming back time and again to grab a quick lunch or early dinner here.
The food was salty and did not taste fresh.
We've been coming here for a couple years and I think ownership or cooks have changed. Stopped going for a while because we found another place in Grand Terrace that is our new favorite here in the I.E.
Just got a new job down the street and have been back a handful of times and you can really tell the flavors just aren't there. Broths lack depth of flavor and they try to make it up with superficial flavorings; Chili's, sauces, toppings. Noodles are average. Like someone else said, boba is on the hard side. Also, we only get 30 minutes for lunch so we've called in advance to have our food ready and every time we have to wait as if we were a walk-in. We had to end up getting it to go for lack of time. Overall it is pretty average; thus dropping from 4 to 3 stars
Kind of expensive nothing to write home about I almost would have rather have had packaged noodles.
