Thai Foods ,Laos Foods and Pho
Yummy Thai has kind service. My order was a phone order for pick up. I arrived very late. They did a fresh Tom Yum for me and even volunteered to bring it car side since I had kiddos with me. Takes a bit of time but it’s worth it. One of those places that’s clearly prioritizing the quality and authenticity of ingredients for the food. Cozy home-like atmosphere, minimalist dining area. Relaxed vibes. Tom yum was good. TBH Bangkok Thai gives double the containers of soup because they serve it at the restaurant in a hotpot. For the money and taste this place is second to BT. Still very Yummy!
Quite the stand alone location for its kind. Met up with a couple people here who really enjoy the food here eating it two days in a row. It’s a small establishment and it’s an old building so I didn’t expect much for aesthetics. The menu comes as a single slab of particle board which I thought was neat. I ordered the “angel” wings, fresh milk pork skewers, and steak salad. I never understand places that serve appetizers and entrees at the same time. The “angel” wings aren’t the angel wings I’m familiar with (stuffed chicken wings). They were just fried chicken wings drizzled with a sweet chili sauce. It was OK. The fresh milk pork “appetizer” came out as a full on entree on a big platter served with rice, cucumber slices, and dipping sauce. More sweetened meat is all I have to say. The dipping sauce was also sweet. The steak salad was decent but the chili lime dressing was also… you guessed it! Sweet!!! This is why I stay away from Thai restaurants. My party seemed to enjoy their orders. One ordered and recommended the steak salad. The other ordered beef laap with sticky rice. The server was polite. Complimentary water comes with a hint of lemon in taste which I found refreshing. This place IS decent if you enjoy Thai food catered towards westerner palate. It’s just not for me. Thai food in general. I would like to try their curries but I’m guessing it’s going to be too sweet for my taste buds as well. One of my mates said this place is the only Thai restaurant that doesn’t shutdown midday for a few hours. Little does he know Bangkok Thai in downtown also does not anymore. I have my biases when it comes to Thai food. Definitely give this place a try. My party seemed to really enjoy it.
I ordered one pho combination & one cucumber papaya Lao style. I'm a usual customer here because I live in the neighborhood & I always get the usual order whenever I visit. Today, January 29, 2024, at 5pm, I took my two year old toddler and I to grab dinner since I’m 7 months pregnant and I didn't feel like cooking. Good thing I shared my bowl of pho with my daughter because I wouldn't have seen the small roach in my pho. We didn't eat anything yet. I was giving my daughter a portion of the pho in a small separate bowl, per usual, and when I took a glance at my bowl of pho, I saw a pretty big black thing in my bowl of pho. I thought it might be a big black pepper in it. But when I took a closer look, it was a baby roach. It killed my appetite. I informed the waitress and she took it. They asked me if I would like a new pho & I did say yes. After contemplating while waiting for them to remake my pho, I started to feel disgusted and didn’t want to eat there anymore. I couldn't look at the bowl of the cucumber papaya they made for me. I didn't touch anything at all because the thought of the small roach could be anywhere in my food at this point. I know it’s just a small roach and some people might say it’s harmless and they would still eat it, but not I. This is a safety and health hazard concern. It seems like the place has roaches. I decided to take off and let them know that I don’t want it anymore and I didn’t touch anything. After I seatbelted my daughter in the car, the waitress opened the door and told me that the chef has already made the pho and am I sure that I don’t want it. I told her no because of the roach that was in my previous bowl of pho. And then she insisted that they made already. The vibe I was getting from her was that I should pay the food even though I didn't touch it because they already made it. I didn't like the atmosphere I was getting from her. The other guy was behind her too when this happened. Then she closed the door by telling me that she would let the chef know.
It’s pretty disheartening because I loved their food. After experiencing that, I don't think I can get myself to eat there anymore.
For those who wants to try there, be my guest, but please look at your food closely before you eat or else you will add extra flavor to your taste (lol all jokes aside).
As a visitor in town, we were excited to try Yummy Thai, particularly for their Thai Boat Noodle, a rare find in the US. The setting was promising, and we came with high expectations.
Our party of four chose a mix of dishes: two opted for the Boat Noodle and the others for the Combination Pho. We also indulged in the platter appetizer and two versions of papaya salad, Thai and Laos style. The platter appetizer was satisfying, and the papaya salads were a highlight, especially the Laos style with its robust flavors and spiciness. The Thai salad, however, was slightly overpowered by vinegar.
The combination pho was a delight, striking a balance in taste without being greasy. But the much-anticipated Boat Noodle was a letdown. Although it had the authentic flavor, the excessive saltiness was off-putting. Both of us who ordered it struggled to finish even half the portion, leading to an uncomfortable amount of water consumption.
Customer service was another area where Yummy Thai could improve. We found ourselves repeatedly asking for basics like water and utensils, and the small water cups provided didn't help, especially with the salty Boat Noodle. A more attentive service would have greatly enhanced our dining experience.
Overall, Yummy Thai has potential, but our visit was a mixed bag. While some dishes were spot-on, others, including the famed Boat Noodle, fell short of expectations. Combined with the lackluster service, I'd rate it a 3-star experience, though I believe with some tweaks, Yummy Thai could easily be a 4-star restaurant.
The best Thai food I've ever eaten in the US as a short-term traveler traveling in California. The flavor is heavy, and is nearly authentic. Foods are fantastic over there. With some modifications that caters to the western flavor. As an Asian guy who are easily approached to all kinds of Asian foods in my country, you can trust my taste! The staff is nice although we have language problems when ordering food. However, it's a little bit hot inside. Maybe they can upgrade their air conditioner.
Food is delicious here. The pork belly and greens are just perfect. Spicy means spicy, so be careful. The Moo Ping is great and the best chicken satay I have had.
I ordered the yellow curry. It was delicious. Our son ordered seafood pho, he said it was the best. Portions were very generous and we could not finish it. The ambience was ok not great. Service was very attentive.
Good vegetarian food, good service. The place is a bit unkempt though, but great food in a pinch
Excelente lugar! Comida autentica y extremadamente deliciosa! Super recomendado.

Phenomenal Phó❤️(combination with porkbelly)
Great, oersonable service with a chill and friendly staff

The food is pretty darn authentic here. I lived in Thailand for a year, and I can say that the food made me miss Thailand 🇹🇭. The business is Hmong-owned, so kudos to them for taking the time to really study the authentic Thai cooking styles. A lot of Thai restaurants claim to be Thai, but really cater the foods to the American palette.
The only thing I would change for the appetizer is to make it more Thai by leaving the Vietnamese & Chinese appetizers out like spring rolls & dumplings. I would put Thai street food items like mu ping, sticky rice, papaya salad, & pork rinds, cucumber, & long beans. 😋 just my 2 cents. But I loved it. Will go again to try the kai ban nouk! Another one of my favorite dishes. 😍
The main waiter is very forgetful, service and response time is very slow. Gave us the menu and never came back to take our order until we went up to the front to let him know that we are ready. After taking our order instead of giving the order to the chef first he goes and takes another table's order, making our orders fall behind. Waited for an hour and still haven't got our food yet. We decided to tell them to make our orders to go because my husband got to go to work. This is our favorite Thai restaurant and we come here all the time with no complaints but with this new waiter I don't think we'll be coming back because this is our second time with the bad service. Better pick up or you'll be losing customers. I am utterly disappointed!
This place was incredible! Food was flavorful, Hot, and tasty. Refreshing fruit water, incredible service from J from start to finish. What an incredibly kind young man. They also play great music in there for folks looking to dine in. Will be back with my girlfriend and family many times over. Thank you for an amazing experience. Chicken Satay, combination pho, and Khao Mun Kai (steamed ginger rice was amazing). Highly recommend all three.
The food is delicious!!! I don't eat raw larb and this is where it got me started. Everything here is amazing! They do take a little long but that just means everything is made fresh!!
Vegetable Pho, sticky rice and Thai tea are all amazing.
First time eating Thai food but I liked it. I won't say anything about this place that wasn't good 👍🏼
Went here this afternoon for lunch, it is a Saturday so they were somewhat busy, but still attentive. Waiter cleaned our table and had us seated within 10 minutes. Food came out hot and looked amazing.... would definitely recommended.
These folx go the extra mile. Loved that the fried rice was brown rice. The Tom Kah was super flavorful. Handmade Crab Rangoon. Super dark creamy Thai Iced Tea. AND THE WATER…infused with Strawberry, Lemon and Cucumber in a super chilled tin cup. Seriously, I’d come back just for the water! Deeeelicious!
Went to YT during work lunch break with couple of coworkers, we called ahead and arrived 25 minutes after the call.
Upon arrival, there was a table of 5 customers who were already eating. We were the only other customers there during this time. We were just about to leave then our Thai Boat Noodle finally arrived. We end up having them packed to go. It was disappointing.

Good food with the exception of the spring rolls. Would recommend takeout unless you want to dine in with a bunch of screaming kids and disgusting patrons. I don't know how the kitchen passes a health department inspection. But hey, good pho
The chicken curry was amazing
came in last weekend everything was fine until the worker Gabe came he was VERY DISRESPECTFUL to me and my whole family and gave a very unpleasant time and made sure that we will NEVER come back here again… Sincerely to the owners find new and better staff as this is UNACCEPTABLE !!!!
Great service and great food. Love the presentation of the food. Would recommend. Had the Thai Boat, and it was very delicious. This time, I got spring rolls, which were very good and spicy beef salad level 8/10 spicy in which I almost regret. But the dish was very delicious and flavorful. Will be doing the spice level at 5/10 next visit.
Never ate here before but it was pretty good.ordered some thing.idk but they brought a huge bowl of soup with mea t noodles and brauth it was killer i was full.
Best pho in town, definitely a local restaurant

Excellent food. Mediocre service. Small and clean diner. I'll come back for food despite not so great service.
Food is tasty very good food
Waitress got our order wrong and food was slow coming to the table. Quality of taste has gone down. I asked for the beef salad to be spicy and it was very sweet and waitress missed an item we ordered.
My husband and I went in for Dine-In on October 6 (Friday) as our first time. It was pretty busy during lunch however the waitress Cari shown on the receipt answered all our questions, she was extremely polite and helpful, she gave great recommendations and explained what the items were. Food was delicious. I understand it is a bit expensive BUT very authentic. We will be back! Thank you Yummy Thai!
I love me some pho, this is by far one of the best chicken pho I've ever had! One of the best broths ever! My new favorite pho place 10 out 10 stars!
The best Thai food I've ever eaten in the US as a short-term traveler traveling in California. The flavor is heavy, and is nearly authentic. Foods are fantastic over there. They r using the air cooler, so the humidity is pretty strong. Eventho, it's on the high power blowing air, still, the room temperature is still warm. Service is excellent.
Best yellow curry I've ever had.
delicious food vãi lon
It was my first time here. I ordered the duck. The food didn't wow me in any way. I'll have to give the pho a shot. There were a ton of veggies, a small amount of duck, and rice.
Food is best. Service is good. Too hot for summer. They need central AC.
The place is decently clean. There was no customers during our visit yet the host looked annoyed, could be because we were a party of 10. I asked about items in the menu and the waitress was unable to answer most of my questions. Long visit written short we tried all the food that was ordered we all agreed the food was too sweet including what we wanted spicy. I wouldn’t eat here again.
The food is delicious! And the mango sticky rice is top notch 👌.
1, the service is great, they are very friendly. 2, we three people ordered 2 noodles and 1 curry chicken, and 1 angel wings, they are all good. 3, we spent 75$ plus tips.
Friendly place to eat. Very nice service.
Waitress was great...pho broth was way too sweet.
If you are looking for great Thai food, this is the spot. The flavors are AMAZING and the vegetables are fresh and cooked to perfection with just the right level of crisp/ crunch. We ordered the Pad Ma Kher and the Vegetable Pho to share. The portions were generous and the service was top notch. We will definitely be back! Good selection of vegetarian and vegan options.
Wonderful food and wonderful people. They are very kind and generous. We came close to closing time and the food was prolonged, but we enjoyed every part of it especially the appetizers.
The food is delicious and the owners are extremely welcoming. We got to the restaurant as they were closing - and not only we were served food, but the family who owns the restaurant also let us stay overtime as they had dinner and even offered us a drink. One of a kind!!!
Good food+service, fair prices
Food is delicious. Very homey and laid back style kind of dining. But strength is how bomb the food is!
The padtai was fire😋
Small little restaurant. Clean, fast, and friendly service. Ordered Thai boat noodles which, was very yummy. I will be returning to try other items on their menu.
Food was great ...had to keep calling the waitress for service.. the parking needs to be fix
Always order the Thai boat, one of the best Thai boat I had. My family would always order the Thai boat whether for dine in or take out. Very nice and friendly staff.
Food is incredibly good. However I feel like service is better during the week. Weekend the waitress is different and isnt welcoming.
If you can see the location you might think the food is not good but I was wrong cuz when i give it a try. The food is sooooooooooo yummmmmmy😋🫰🏼 that’s why they deserved to get a 5🎖
So good
Great pho
Really good curry and appetizer platter.
Stopped here for the first time for their fried calamari appetizer. Very good. The sauce had a sweetness that gabe way to a hint of heat. Only gave them 4 stars as it was only an appetizer for take out. Will definitely go here for a full meal.
really good I just wish they had delivery available
The food is very tasty, great veggie & vegan options, big portions. The boba smoothies very fresh and tasty - highly reccommend them!
Buen sabor
Great food but portion to small for large order.
Our 2nd time here. Foods were flavorful but portions were super small. Pho only came in one size & a bit over-priced. Big bowl with small amout of noodles, small slices of meatballs & barley any meat. One bowl wasn't enough to feed my 9yo. The dining area was hot & stuffy during the summer. Customer service was ok but everyone took their sweet time. Took forever to get drinks refilled & for phos to arrive. We had to wait over 30 mins for a bowl of pho-not ok and not efficient. Will only come back ONLY if there are no other options! If we had a choice, we wouldn't be back.
Fantastic. Soups and curries are top notch. Delicious, balanced flavors. Fresh ingredients, vegetables and meats cooked to perfection.
Its was super delicius the pho 😋
So this place is located in a residential area, hard to find. But great reviews so we decided to try. We arrived and there was only one other couple there and one person waiting (guessing for take out? 🤷♀️) As we arrive we weren’t even greeted. I asked the young lady serve if we could sit anywhere, she proceed to kind ignore us? 🤷♀️ so we decided to sit anyways. As we’re waiting for the rest of our party to arrive we relieved the menu. That same young lady server came by to see if we’re ready at that point the rest of our party was arriving she seemed to be really irritated, as I was ordering for our entire party it was finally time for drinks. I ordered to fruit smoothies and the server proceeds to tell me the smoothies would be taking really long because she really busy with the other couple so I said it was ok. We literally waiting like 10mins after the food was brought out to us, for utensils and plates. As we proceed to order more food, it just seemed like it irritated this server even more? We finally get the smoothies and they’re delicious but I try to order a third one and she just looked at me like “yea, I can’t!” Kinda felt rushed and service was kinda awkward and unpleasant
The food in the other hand was delicious. Too bad the service is what counts a lot too smh I wish nothing but luck to this place. Maybe leave your problems at home or just don’t come to work?
Everything I’ve had here is amazing! Duck egg noodle soup, especially
Very nice food, clean place,
Large portions you can share !
Great foods!
Delicious, my daughter and I are definitely coming back
Yessir
Great dishes. Loved the Thai boat soup!!!
We ran into this place on the way home from Yosemite. To our surprise, it’s super authentic and reasonably priced. Service is great too. It’s a hidden gem. Def recommend to anyone who likes Thai food.
Their chili oil for pho is underrated!
We tried their Khao Mun Kai, and it was so good. I must say it's a must try!!! Not all Thai restaurants have this on their menu.
It was really good the food is great.
Their combination pho is 🔥
Order that with the appetizer platter and you got an A1 meal right there. Its near my house so we go when we're craving pho. Also the lynchee tea is sweet and served nice and cold to quench the thirst. I definitely recommend this place.
Good Thai Boat Noodles.
Thai boat noodles 🔥 🔥 🔥
First time there and it met my expectations! Thai boat noodle and pho was good! The appetizers were amazing! Services is okay. Portion wise on other items may be small but still worth the $$$ to eat compare to other pho spot!! Parking is small so you'll need to park across street!!
First time Thai food. The only thing i knew was phone. The young gentleman at the counter was very helpful and patient. The two large pho soups where prepared fresh. Very good dinner and costumer service was excellent.
The freshest, most flavorful yummy Thai I've eaten anywhere! The chef here worked in a four star Thai kitchen in San Francisco, and you can certainly tell by these beautiful plates of food.
I haven't tried a lot of Thai food but tonight picked up Pad Thai and Kai Ban Nouk. It was one of the best tasting meals I'd had out in a couple years. My 2 yr old grand daughter even liked it. Will try again also will try other Thai places.so I can com]are.
Excellent food.
Great food@
Food was delicious but definitely could improve on customer service. Waiter did not provide a greeting or ask how the food was. His communication skills were poor often walking with his head down. It may be a language barrier but still would recommend the food.
Food was very tasty, portions on the smaller size, but fair.
Small portions.
