Thai comfort food like curries & stir-fries in a casual, homey dining room with art-lined walls.
The food served here was amazing, and the service was exceptional. I ordered the spicy fried rice, Thai red curry, and Mongolian chicken from the lunch specials, and it was all fabulous. This is a budget-friendly place that I highly, highly recommend if you're visiting Monterey.
I had my order delivered and it went well. The food arrived hot and my first impression of the yellow curry was that it was more of a cream color. It tasted great! I like a side of jasmine rice and it was definately a satisfying thai food craving experience. I couldn’t resist the sweet potato as an Appetizer but I am curious if they can grill them somehow or steam them, I would prefer to have no breading. Overall the food tasted great and was a good portion, I served myself twice and still have some left over for later. Siam thai cuisine was also the only thai place in marina I could find after looking at other similar options that had the delivery option. Grubhub did a great job at delivering the order as well. I’ll be ordering again sometime or visitin in person to save some $ on the delivery fee and experience their restaurant dining experience.
This place is definitely a hidden gem as it is one of the best Thai restaurants we had in the area. Service was great and friendly.
They have a great menu selection. The dishes we had were all delicious with the spice level just right. Fresh and quality ingredients too. And not to mention, the price is fair!
Great experience overall and definitely recommend to anyone who loves Thai cuisine, even if you're just passing by on a road trip or vacation!
Siam Marina is a small Thai restaurant located on a residential street in Marina. The restaurant has a private parking as well as having street parking available. The owners are a very young Thai couple that are very friendly and extremely welcoming. They are very hospitable. The food prepared here is very good and the prices are very reasonable with generous portion sizes. I really enjoy their curry dishes. My favourite was their red curry with duck but sadly that awesome dish is no longer available. The green curry with chicken is now my preffered choice. I have also tried soups and noodle dishes and everything has been delicious and nicely presented. This Thai restaurant is my personal favourite and I always feel comfortable and at home when I visit. Amazing food and fabulous customer service.
Terrible. Pad Thai was flavorless. Curry was supposed to be mild but was very spicy. Curry also arrived without rice. We called to let them know that the curry arrived without rice. They said their curry doesn’t not come with rice. We explained that their menu did not specify that rice did not come with the curry. They then went out of their way to call us back later and tell us we were wrong. Not going to be back. Customer service was terrible.
First time here for lunch, not too busy, plenty of parking in back. they have a wide variety of lunch menu. Lunch special is $12.50 ) salad, rice and 1 item from menu), lunch combo is $15.00 ( plus salad and 3 spring rolls). Decent portion and authentic flavors. Service is fast. Will definitely come back.
Lunch plates are good values. I tried the combo with spring rolls. The spring rolls were a disappointment. Of you're set on the combo, maybe the pan fried potstickers will be better. I had the green curry with chicken as the main. I forgot to specify the spice level so was prepared to get it mild. Fortunately there was enough of a tingle to satisfy me. I will be returning to try their pad kra pao next.
15Feb2025 Update: I returned to try their chicken pad kra pao. This time I remembered to specify the spice level (level 4 out of 5+). The server also left a condiment jar with sliced Thai peppers in fish sauce. I used it to adjust the spice level to my taste. That condiment was a game changer. The dish went from a 10 out of 10 to +10. Plus the main ingredient was an abundance of chicken, which is how it should be. During these economic times, many eateries might stretch the dish by using more veggies than meat. Such wasn't the case here. I've bumped my original rating from 4 stars to 5!

The food is outstanding, and service is excellent
My better half left, had been eating all the leftovers for the last two days! Ham, mashed potato and gravy, not bad. But today(01/03/25), went over there and got a papaya salad to go with dinner. Oh Boy, it is so SOOO good. Thank you for all the good foods, KUP KOON! Always enjoy eating here.

Had vegetarian fried rice, green curry and papaya salad. All items were exceptionally delicious.
Loved it!
We were looking for comfort food near our hotel and this place was perfect!
We had the Pad Thai and Pumpkin Curry. Both delicious and we would definitely come back.

Best Thai food in Monterey. Owners are Thai and very friendly. I've traveled to Thailand twice and can say this meets the standard for good, authentic food.
this was really good Thai food, not fancy not over done just really good food.

Best Thai restaurant in Marina. Great service and food
Excellent authentic Thai food in a cozy little restaurant with nice natural lighting. Highly recommend!

Best thai food we have had in this area. Friendly service. Tight parking. Prices are reasonable. We will go back.
This is our favorite Thai restaurant in the Monterey area. Servers are all super friendly and welcoming. The yellow curry is our favorite, but have been happy with everything we have ordered. Love to support whenever we go out.
Cute place. Great food. Hit the spot leaving Monterey Bay.
Excellent taste and portion. Highly recommended and worked perfect for kids too.
So good! Came here on vacation with the family, including an 8 yo. We all loved everything we ordered. The service was great too.
Love the staff and owners. amazing food .Highly recommended. Best Thai food I've had in a long time
The food was amazing and the staff and owners are awesome! Highly recommended.
Love the food. It was amazing and the staff and owners are stellar! Highly recommended. Best Thai food ever
Great place, the pad see ew and pad thai were so yummy. Feels like Thailand
We’ve been here twice now, once take out once eat in. It’s small, food is delicious and well priced. Our new Thai spot
This is a nice quaint restaurant and I was excited to try the Thai food in this area. Once I got back to my hotel, I was disappointed that the pad thai I had ordered was burned. I tried to eat around it, as I had been traveling and was hungry. However, there were pieces of black charred material throughout the dish. I ended up throwing it away and grabbing something to eat from the hotel lobby.
Delicious food and excellent customer service. 😋 Must try!
Very good authentic Thai restaurant 👌
Only Thai spot you should go to on the peninsula. The spice level, speciality curry or a house regular order. You can do no wrong at this cute little spot.
We ordered from here for my birthday. We had the chicken Pad Pug, the beef Pad King, chow mein, and fries pot stickers. All delicious. I look forward to trying their currys next.
Definitely recommend.
Always so kind and the food is always bussin .GO GET YOU SUMMMM🥳
Delicious Thai food with friendly service.
Its a beautiful small and the food is amazing the best place in marina hands down
Highly recommend
Amazing food love it
Best Pineapple fried rice.
My husband and I really like this little restaurant. Very friendly and accommodating service. My husband has a lot of allergies and they are very careful. I recommend 💯
Shirm Fried and Fried rice is delicious
We absolutely love this place! I am GF and they are always so nice and accommodating! I usually get Pad Thai and haven’t had any issues!
Really tasty, and such nice folks! I would have taken photos but I ate it all in under ten minutes with no stopping
Great Thai food!! A hidden gem!! The food tasted so fresh and so authentic (like the food we had in Thailand)… The owner is so sweet and has a hard working team!! Go here if you want a great tasting meal with good atmosphere!!
Good food, recommend for vegetarian. Thai curry, Tom yum soup were tasty.
I like this place. I like the people. I love the food. And so far every time I go I have tried something different and it has yet to disappoint.
Very quaint and personable with a warm cozy fan to put a loving touch on the dining ambiance. Delicious and flavorful meals with plenty of options to satisfy the most particular.
We are new to the area. We love Thai food. We try the Pad Thai every place we go. So far this place has the best Pad Thai We have encountered.
We also had the pinaple fried rice. The portion size was very large. It was very good. It had cashews in it and fresh spring onion.
The place is small. The service is great.
For 2 of us we spent about $50 - one appetizer, one Thai tea and 2 dishes.
We will definitely be coming back.
I have to say, if you know Thai food like it should be, then this here place is where you must come to wake up your taste buds and enjoy the awesomeness of a Thai cuisine.
This place is a hidden gem.
Family owned business with a very “simple” taste. But don’t get me wrong, what’s unique to this place is its simplicity in taste.
Came here after a long hike and was super hungry. I loved all the items we ordered.
Tom Kha Soup had a rich coconut flavor to it. It’s a little sweet, but we got some chili oil to spice it up.
Green Curry was very good too! Like I said before, it was so simple and there was nothing fancy to it. Most of the other Thai places in the US add a rich creamy flavor. And it’s a little sad that the authenticity of the food is lost in the process. This family owned business really got it unique and right!
Pad Thai was super tasty too!
We went close to the closing time and felt hungry after ordering a few items. If we’d been to a fancy place, I bet it’d have been like other places where they would simply refuse because the kitchen is closed (or some other reason). I could visually see that they were closing the restaurant and the kitchen. And I politely requested them for an additional item. The waitress was very understanding and offered us more after the restaurant closing time (kitchen closes 8:15, restaurant closes 8:30, i had requested for more food at 8:40 :) I felt very touched and valued as a customer, tbh :)
I highly recommend 412 , absolutely delicious
Pad Thai was great!
Everything we had was exceptional! I will go back again before I leave town
Very good food. We ordered pad Thai, panang chicken, pumpkin curry. Sticky rice was excellent.
I'm picky about Thai. On par with my fav Thai places in sf.
Amazing Thai food. My whole family (including a toddler and 7 year-old) loved it. The spice in the curry was on point, the potstickers were cooked perfectly, and the pad see ew (my kids’ dish) was possibly the best we’ve ever had. We’ve traveled to Thailand before and are always looking for a spot that can make the fried noodle dishes like they do there. We don’t live in town, but will plan to stop in here every time we come to Monterey or Marina.
We had the coconut soup,
House fried rice, Green curry,
And Barbecue beef. It looked delicious, but overall, it was
Just okay. Hated the coconut soup.
best restaurant in marina!! so many options, so many vegetarian options, and always incredibly delicious! staff is super friendly. when i order take out it’s always ready super fast and dining in is a great experience as well. 10/10 i cannot recommend this enough!!
Returned here for their authentic Thai food. Healthy food choices, clean place, friendly service, reasonably priced. Dine in or take out. Try their awesome mango sweet rice dessert when available.
The food portions were large and tasteful. Service was personable. Negative was the lack of heat.
Don’t judge the book by its cover. Go in and enjoy delicious Thai food that comes with warm and friendly customer service.
I eat here about once a week. It's the best Thai food that I've had in the area. Great service.
The atmosphere is good and food is great but wear your snowmobile suit if you plan on dining here and it’s cold outside 🥶
These people had made okay food, but the floor mgr seems to be rude to me. I was not happy about it - especially bcos I was a good customer. Not sure I'll go back?
Great!
Great Thai food, not upscale surroundings.
Really good Thai food and friendly staff
What an amazing locals' joint here in Marina. We are so lucky to have such an excuisite cuisine in Marina CA. The food is simply delicious especially during the lunch deal. Go ahead and try it out, tou won't regret a bite. 😋
I love this place. The food is great and the the owners are so nice!
Incredible food. We eat here at least 1-2x per month. It's so good, and never disappoints!
Ate here for dinner last night, came back for lunch today. Portion sizes are generous. All five dishes were wonderful. Looking forward to my next meal here.
Excellent food cozy environment reasonably priced
One of my absolute favorites. Red curry is FULL of flavor, the soups are creamy, the desserts are decadent.
Good food. Small building. Eat here.
Good food and very cozy place to eat. Great Customer Service.
I've been eating here for 2 yrs now. Always great customer service and great food!
Great food very tasty, a lot of flavor. Able to choose spicy flavor 1-5. 3 was spicy enough for me. Will go back and recommend to friends. Service excellent.
I had the Siam Special and it was delicious! Everyone else seemed to really enjoy their meals. The service could use some work. But I would definitely return!
This is the spot. You want great Thai food in Monterey county, this is your place. Big menu, authentic feel, intimate setting, good food.
Does anyone work here?
Great food and happy owners who like to serve good food to people 😊
Delicious and affordable. Very friendly. Great experience dining here. They give you the tea in a to-go cup so you don't have to worry about finishing it which is really nice.
The food was delicious, fresh and authentic.
The food is great 👍
Excellent food
Delicious food, large portions that are great for getting a few things to share, and fast, polite service.
Nice Thai cuisine with lots of parking area. It’s closer to Highway 1. When we went there, dine in was not available due to Covid. But there was a table outside,so they served food there. We ordered rice, yellow fish curry and Mun Tod that is fried sweet potatoes. Rice does not come with curry. The owner is nice and polite, the service is also good.
Food was good, but no indoor dining yet.
Food is really nice and the service is good. We ordered spicy chicken fried rice and spicy veg fried rice and veg noodles
Rude
Pad Thai, mun tod, and mango sticky rice are wonderful. Panang curry also delicious. Looking forward to trying more dishes!
My favorite Thai place! I had been gone for two years but the owners remembered me!
Their ingredients are always fresh, their drunken noodles are first rate, the red curry is wonderful... highly recommended. Tiny little place, but man can they cook!
Location: Close to route 1. not much noise, plenty of parking space.
Food: Excellent food!! You won't be disappointed in any way. Though they are only offering take out at this time, one must try this food. We are four and order three main dishes and an appetizer for lunch. We ended up eating for dinner as well. Huge portions and quality and taste is at the top level.
Business: This is a family owned business, there is a picnic table outside with a beautiful garden maintained by the restaurant owners.
Service: Excellent customer service with smile
I love to stop by whenever I go along this route.
The best thai in the Monterey peninsula hands down. Family run and everything tastes home made, I cannot recommend it enough!
This is my family's absolute favorite Thai restaurant in the area. The food is great and the portions are good. Some of our favorite dishes are the yum woon sen, the peak gai krob, the drunken noodle, and pineapple fried rice. The spice is also very good.
Wonderful place, friendly staff and delicious. Fair to low prices. I've tried a bunch of stuff: yellow curry, larb, mee pad, mee krob, pad thai, pad prik nam, and a few others. Its ALL good. Seriously throw a dart at the menu and order that, you'll be glad you did.
Great tasting Thai food quick window order and pickup.
The food was delicious. The 2 of us ordered the very tasty Angel Wings with a nice dipping sauce, a very aromatic and delicious green curry lunch plate, and a dinner entree of some scrumptious wide rice noodles. We ordered the curry and noodles at spice level #2, and they were just right spice wise for me. The lady who took our order (and brought the food out to our car) was lovely and kind. (We ate a bit of everything while we sat in the car (so we ate that when it was hot a fresh), and then took the rest home to nibble on it later. That was on Friday, but unfortunately all of it had been consumed by yesterday (Saturday) afternoon. I highly recommend getting food from this easy to get to, easy to park at, Thai Restaurant in Marina.
Great food and great and friendly service!
I live here locally and love supporting local business who have great service and great food to match it. You're always greeted with a friendly smile and feel welcomed here. Best Thai food I’ve had since I last visited Thai Land.
Prices are reasonable. Check out the pictures, the food here all looks good. Especially if your into spicy food. Some of the items are not spicy if you don’t prefer it as well, just ask them to leave out the spicy. They have excellent service.
Always excellent & very authentic food! Have had so many dishes here, always impressed!
Highly recommend.
Siam Thai has the most authentic Thai food in the area. I love the panang curry and the fresh spring rolls. Portion sizes are generous too! Service is always fast and friendly.
Bo and her family do such a great job serving delicious Thai cuisine here, at a reasonable price. Their Panang curry is fantastic, especially on overcast or rainy days, when comfort food is called for. This is by far my favorite Thai restaurant on this side of the Peninsula, matched only in quality by the pricier Pacific Thai all the way across the Bay, in Pacific Grove.
Have been going here for years. The service is amazing, everyone is so nice and the food is even better. The food is good and consistent. Would definitely recommend going :)
Overall, food is good...by itself is good, with another is better...have to match a particular dish as it complements another...it's a small but sweet family friendly place.
Fantastic as always
Really good food. The angel wings were really yummy and unexpected. Try them! The owners are very nice and attentive. We were there on a quiet night so we got our food very quickly. I'm here for a conference and I will probably stop here for lunch on my way out of town. Give it a try if you like Thai food, or give it a try if you've ever been curious to try Thai food!
Summary: go. Just go. Order anything and it will be amazing.
First this place is GREAT it is only getting 4 stars because I am trying to reserve 5 for places I've been to more than once. That said I've been thinking about this place almost every day since. Looking forward to adding that 5th star.
Edit: we went back. Somehow the service was BETTER not sure how they managed that. The food was about the same, which is to say delicious.
We tried me pad and pud see ew (spelling is probably way off) and both were top notch. The pud see ew wasn't as sweet as I am used to but that is probably a good thing. The pud see ew was very good but the me pad was better.
Fast friendly service, fair to low prices, normal sized to large portions.
Bottom line: If you like Thai food go, if you don't like Thai food: go anyway because you probably will after.
Another best Thai foods!
Pad thai was good, but the noodles stuck together too much
My lovely girlfriend of almost 1 year just spent new year's eve here! We both got fried rice too and ate off each other's dishes bca we had them prepared slightly different. If we're back in this area again, we're coming back
Basil chicken is normally my go to. But today today tried something new. Tom kha was so yummy! Perfect for a cold rainy day to warm the belly.
So authentic, you would think you're in Thailand!
Awesome service, delicious food!!!
Very cute place. Delicious, authentic food and wonderful service. Will definitely come back!
Good food but if you order take out they will give you extremely small portions! Not worth it if your going to order for take out!!
This place is fine now. The service is usually decent and the food is good but not amazing usually. I go here probably once a month and walk away satisfied.
2 years update : I really like this place now. It has some good options and their Curry is very good. This place is the place to go for Thai food in Marina.
Excellent food on reasonable price. Family owned so all item taste authentic. Best restaurant in over hyped Monterey, CA area. Try it, you won't be disappointed. Soup small size looks like extra large. Try, coconut milk soup with lime and roasted chilli oil; you won't be disappointed. Avoid non vegetarian item in soup, you will love it.
Great food, great prices. You leave with a feeling of a homemade meal. Awesome experience.
Delicious! Warm atmosphere and friendly, efficient service!
Really good food and costumer service.
