Beyond Fresh Sushi by Master Sushi Chef Joseph Clark. Sushi Jo has been serving the Palm Beaches since 2004. We specialize in traditional Japanese sushi and handcrafted sushi boat catering.
We love Sushi Jo...my husband and I came for lunch and we're very pleased from walking in and being greeted immediately and getting exceptional service. I had the miso soup and Tuba Poke bowl and he had the Bento Box. Both meals were very fresh and delicious. Always satisfying.
Went to my brother's house in West Palm. he is a snowflake and was down with his family and invited us for dinner.
He had take out from Sushi Jo's, a small chain with 4 restaurants.
We had a huge assortment of sushi and other Japanese foods including Edamame,
Seaweed Salad, Avocado Roll, Eel Roll, Sashimi, Sunomono Salad, and other sushi rolls.
All very good.
Sushi Jo & Jo Bistro is a true gem offering a delightful blend of fresh smoothies, açaí bowls, wraps, tacos, and an extensive Japanese menu. Whether you're craving sushi, salmon teriyaki, or soups and salads, this place has it all.
The addition of the Sushi Jo Lounge on the second level, featuring music, dining, and dance, enhances the overall dining experience. The service here is exceptional, with a warm welcome and big smiles greeting you from the moment you step in. Special recognition goes to Rachelle, the manager, Cheeky the bartender, and the talented head Sushi Chef Giovanni. Those 3 alone are a recipe for success. It's not just about the fantastic food and drinks; it's about how they create an unforgettable dining experience. Sushi Jo & Jo Bistro truly delivers on all fronts.
A must visit for all!
I was left disappointed with my experience. Ordered some acai bowls. It took really long for the bowls to come. The taste would have been excellent except it wasn't enough. The presentation was great. Lots of fresh fruits which was a plus but there was very little acai in the large acai bowl. Also, the bowl was plastic take out containers for a sit down. It was hard to get to all the elements for a good bite due to the depth of the container. The establishment serves soup so it's an easy step to use a soup bowl for the acai bowl when it's a sit down experience.
We've been coming to Sushi Jo since 2012 (if not before then). It's one of our top 2 favorite places for sushi in the area -- they used to have a location closer to us, and we'd end up ordering almost weekly. All of their sushi is delicious, and they're usually fairly fast for takeout. Their staff is always friendly, and they always get our order correct. We've eaten in the restaurant too and it's always great. They also have/had Jo Bistro next door which had the best acai bowl, great wraps, salads, lentil soup, and other options.
I had an amazing dining experience thanks to our waitress, Rachelle. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. She took the time to explain the menu, checked in with us regularly without being intrusive, and even remembered small details like refilling our drinks promptly. Her cheerful attitude and professionalism truly made the meal enjoyable. I highly recommend this restaurant and hope to have her as our server again in the future!
Had a great experience. The waitress Rachelle was perfect. The food was fresh love the tuna tostones .
I really wanted to like this place... I rarely post reviews, but the edamame was undercooked, the sushi rolls, which were very pricey, consisted of hard stale rice, the tuna looked like salmon, was pink and flavorless. For the price, the quality was severely lacking. Ordered rail tequila and soda water. Was $15, later told the rail is teramana. Service however was great, fast and friendly.
Love the new location. Food and service were fabulous! Waitress made suggestions that were perfect. Hit the tail end of happy hour and our waitress made sure I got my 2nd wine.
Always love Sushi jo!!!!! All the locations serve the best sushi... Very fresh food and service is always great!

Wonderful food!
My favorite rachelle is beautiful as can be amd so nice to me
... love ray
I wanted to love this place, I ordered an açaí bowl and some gyozas but the time to get them was forever. They were already made but no one bothered to check, that wasn’t even the bad part, I ordered two 16oz bowls, one of them was a 12oz. I basically got charged extra for a smaller bowl and I even tipped before then. Never again

Tried the happy hour when they opened in the new location. Nice ambiance but happy hour prices didn't seem to be that much of a deal. When ordered out, stir fry and fried rice, it was bland and over priced food.
I always have a great experience here! Food is fresh, atmosphere is great. Rachel is cordial and just darn nice. Service A+++.
Far too expensive even for palm beach.
Menu deceptive and prices are double the similar place on clematis street.
The sushi was nothing special.
This place gets my tourist trap recommendation…after being surprised at the high cost…you will never go there again
Manhattan prices in a not luxury setting.
Not a Nobu
Delicious!!

A must visit for all!
Rachele was a fantastic server and the restaurant was beautiful inside with amazing sushi.
Best sushi in West Palm Beach, established for many years in the best neighborhood,
Their new location in Dixie hwy has a friendly experienced staff, free parking, and now the upstairs
" So Social "Thursday nights
Latin live band on Friday, this the newest hot spot for a great crowd, food, drinks and fun, away from down town.

Had a pretty poor experience. While the food was good the waitress was just rude. I don't remember her name but she was a mid 30s blond girl. Overall I won't go back because of her
Rochelle is AMAZING! So is the king wild salmon roll !!
Rachi Ugi was amazing! We loved our dinner and the toro/waygu roll was INCREDIBLE!
Yummy & Fresh Sushi!!!
LOVED our waitress Rachelle….amazing service.
She was so attentive, I ordered off menu and she did such an amazing job accommodating my son’s allergies. Will be back 100000%. She made our experience totally amazing. Love love love
Our go to place for sushi or bistro. Both are great. Our server was amazing.
I ordered a poke bowl for $24 and it came with 1/4 an avocado, tuna, and white rice. It had no flavor either. I like this restaurant, but would not recommend the poke bowl.
This place was good at first. Second time coming the white young lady was aggravated and setting my plate infront of me that was a boat not a plate, i like tha boat but not how she threw it over my face and attitude. Then the spanish lady at the front who couldn't speak english and had an attitude problem since i got there said sit wherever you like and had a bad attitude when i said can I get my receipt, since all servers and bartenders are basically a team right? No she said its not my problem and not my table, thats her job. Thats the problem with new immigrants thinking everything is handed to them. Not ever coming back again until they are gone and better service. The food was alright not to die for if you want really good sushi and service, go to Sushi Song its far but better qulaity and service for your buck. Upset stomach and ruined mood from this whole experience. What should i expect its lake worth. Had loved it the first time and now its not even on my list anymore. I was a good tip guy and well easy going, not easy to make me mad. Im beyond annoyed and will deff tell others to stray away now. Never again.
Great food and atmosphere
My daughter and her fiancé really like eating here. I think the food is just ok.
excellent Sushi, good value, great atmosphere
Decent rolls but extremely sub par for the price. Both me and my dates rolls fell apart when picked up with chop sticks. For a 40$ roll that should not happen.
The flavor profiles where interesting, but the jalapeño slices on top where full of seeds, a culinary mistake that should not occur in the price range this establishment is aiming to achieve.
The atmosphere was amazing, which lured us into believing this was a quality restaurant, this, however, was where the positive impression ended.
The waitress was overwhelmed shortly after we were sat, we can understand that occurance, however my dates drink was not put in until after the meal was over.
This of course left me plenty of time to write this review as I wait for her to finish her drink.
The move to the new space was well worth the lingering weight off of Belvedere. Same great staff with some new additions that are also terrific great ambience great sushi, good smiles.
The plates are always pretty. The food is always great. The staff is always friendly. It's a really nice place to go to
Getting tired of the poor bar service since moving to the new place. Too much chatting and bullshit with people and not enough service. Cold food delivered because it was left on the counter while the bartender took off talking and then left … plus didn’t put the order in correct and complained about being too tired. I’m usually easy going but it’s happened a few times and though I’m in the neighborhood I’ve had enough. There are too many good places close by to deal with this.
The place was amazing. Sat at the sushi bar and was able to watch the chefs create masterpieces. Geovani (chef) was great. Very personable and professional. Had a wahoo appetizer, so fresh and clean tasting.
Our server,Rochelle, she was great.
Excellent knowledge of the menu.
Customer service was above and beyond.
The tuna was so fresh and had a dark red color, almost right out of the ocean. So good.
My words can't describe how awsome this dinner was.
2 thumbs up.
I will be back!!!!
Excellent job to everyone
Plenty sea food options
Food is good. Music is a techno horror fest from 1997.
Very good. Highly recommend. Carly the bartender is the best.
Love it
Bad servise the woman in the phone mess out my name and my order she was not very nice or helpfull
I had the Yogi bowl. The acai itself was delicious. The ratio of acai to fruit was 1:3 (acai:fruit). The fruits were fresh and delicious. It took so long to get the acai bowls unfortunately. I wanted to try their food but the wait wasn't worth it. I would recommend people try though.
The freshest in the best sushi I have had yet! The service is amazing, the new location is amazing. Try it and I guarantee you'll be hooked like I am
Alsom place to enjoy a little time with friends and family little bit expensive $$
Since switching locations the quality of food has plummeted. The quality of service has gone downhill as well. I usually get a to-go order of avocado rolls… super basic right? Ok well my last order I asked for 8 orders of avocado rolls. I got in return 8 orders of all end pieces. Mind you, I was very kind and left a sweet tip.
The people who work their know myself and my family. We’ve been collectively going to Sushi Jo for YEARS. Never in my life have I gotten only end pieces. So that’s 48 pieces of basically just rice and a sliver of avocado…
Also I got enough soy sauce to feed a nation.
Their new space is just as good, they have bar seating now! Love the rainbow roll and pineapple fried rice.
Still one of the best restaurants in Palm Beach County. the recent move they made to expand their space has been excellent the quality of service if anything has gotten better, and it was already amazing in the old space. Congratulations to the Sushi Jo squad that is doing such a great job Excited to keep coming back!
Spicy Mayonnaise and cream cheese come on far too many rolls. Not what sushi is about. Reduces the food to lowbrow AYCE sushi standard. Having some options is understandable, those people are out there, but understand your core demographic.
The ZillaMoki is 40 dollars with “Main Lobster” but it comes absolutely drowning in mayonnaise, taking what should be a premium ingredient and reducing it to fair food. Based on their preparation I’m guessing it’s a pile of fake crab with some lobster sprinkles. I’d toss the lobster with a 1/2 Tbs ghee and top with furikake and lemon zest. Give the zilla that Main lobster roll vibe without the carny kick in the mouth.
If your product is really good you don’t need cheap fats (spicy mayo) and sugar (eel sauce) to make it taste great. Explore homemade ponzu or a soy mirin reduction to paint on rolls. It’s the classy move.
The fish is quality and delicious they just need to respect the ingredients like great places do. Let your fish buying speak for its self otherwise you’re in a race to the bottom.
I used to go to Sushi Jo's ages ago, when they were on Belvedere. We loved that place!!! The food was great, the service wonderful. I was expecting the same thing with this one and was sadly disappointed. I ordered the JB roll and a Hamachi roll. They weren't wrapped tightly and pretty much fell apart as soon as I picked them up. The ginger was tasteless and the Wasabi as well. So disappointed and will not be coming back. My son had the Pad Thai and said it was okay....chicken was a bit dry.
Sushi Jo delights with fresh ingredients and innovative sushi rolls. They use brown rice or cauliflower rice alternatives for a lighter option, and their signature seaweed salad is a must-try, packed with flavor and nutrients. Even the dessert menu offers guilt-free options like mochi filled with fruit.
Sushi too expensive for how much you get.
The miso soup is always great. I love the salmon California roll, but theee most amazing thing on the menu is the PALM BEACH AÇAÍ BOWL. We always bring visitors for lunch/dinner and order the PB bowl, and they always want to go back for more! It’s addictive!
Uno de mis lugares favoritos para la comida japonesa. Su servicio excelente . Parar aquí para un almuerzo rápido lo recomiendo ya que los precios son asequibles Y con calidad .
pad thai was awful, service was good, restaurant was clean enough. prices are pretty high unless you get a lunch special or something. better options around for better prices. pad thai was too sweet and overly wet, chicken was way too dry, and overall tasted rancid. sent it back after a couple of bites and the cook came out to argue and then said they would only take off 10%.
I dined in on a Friday night and even though it was quite busy, our food came out quickly. The sushi was very nice, they have a large selection of more creative American style rolls with a lot of ingredients. Our server was kind and welcoming. I will be here again 🙏
Best place on earth
Great food and service. Love their sushi boats
Delicious! their happy hour is good, but not amazing. The portions are smaller than regular, but it is good nevertheless.
Always seated and served quickly. Waiting staff are always around to refill cups. Teriyaki chicken is delicious and served with soup and a good portion of vegetables. Nice atmosphere for a good dining experience. A+
Love there, Shrimp Tempura Roll. Great service. The waiters are really good, they usually remember what we order.
While searching for sushi near downtown, my fiancé surprised me with this hidden gem of a restaurant.
Hanna, who was exceptionally friendly and kind, greeted us with a wonderful smile and allowed us to choose our preferred seating. The hot Sake was incredibly good!
Our appetizer exceeded our expectations and was delightfully delicious. I couldn't resist asking about the chef behind it, who turned out to be Julio. I had to personally compliment him on how amazing the pizza was. We had never before experienced such an array of unique flavors in a sushi tortilla.
The fried sushi I ordered was simply fantastic - fresh and full of flavor. My fiancé's rainbow roll was also incredibly delicious and fresh. The chicken teriyaki and crunchy veggies were cooked to perfection.
Overall, we loved everything about this restaurant and will definitely be returning with our friends and families. I highly recommend visiting and trying out their menu. I guarantee you will love it!
Miles is the absolute best!! I went for lunch with my cousin and sister and he made our experience absolutely amazing. Give that man a raise! 😁
Always great sushi rolls and the Ge staff are excellent!
I won’t go here anymore. I’ve eaten here for the last 15 year and always a great place but the last few visit were terrible. The sushi was no where near my experience in the past and the service to top it off was worse. Sorry Joe but three times I’m out. Good luck to you
Good sushi and decent deals during happy hour. Drinks were delicious. High chair provided for our baby. Most sushi rolls were priced a bit high. Service was great.
They added $20 to my bill without asking.
One year ago it was 5 stars. What happened?
Todo estuvo súper rico. Y buena atención
We had a wonderful birthday celebration for my mom, thank you Kaitlyn, you did a great job!
Service sucks
Don’t go there if you are black or if you actually like sushi. Ordered spicy tuna roll and there was no spice or tuna in sight. Got annoyed and ask s for the bill and they refused to give the bill and called the cops instead
I ate here last night for the first time it was my granddaughter's birthday party and while the food was awesome communication between us and our server was tough I actually got the wrong food delivered originally but it could have been because of my lack of understanding but again the food was delicious and I would eat here again
This place is ridiculously overpriced. The food was ok, but if you’re going to come here - expect to spend a lot of money for mediocre sushi and slow service.
Very fresh food.
Friendly atmosphere and excellent food!
The ingredients are good. Nothing else is special. Kind of bland. I like Kabuki Sushi Thai much better its much harder to park and walk there!
This restaurant has gone Very downhill from its prime days.
The atmosphere is boring and the sushi is pretty basic.
Hi question what kind of fish they used in my sushi because I don’t believe it was what it was described as!
Sadddd!
We are sushi fanatics. Found this place in a last minute Google search. The triple crown roll was amazing.
Bad sushi the salmon was hard, dry and tasteless.
The torro was brown and awful 3 brown slices sashimi..$30 and no uni on a Friday night.
Don't know what the chef was thinking about serving a plate that looked and tasted bad.
A meal you can actually feel good after eating. Fresh food that just makes you feel good. Amazing dumplings and sushi 🍱
Best food, best service, very consistent!
Why is it that the same piece of sushi costs $2 or $3 more now. So, more expensive sushi but no quantity increase + 25% suggested tip. Ridiculous. Laughable.
Delicious sushi, I went for a boat but theyre only for catering , fresh fish.
Had Pad Thai. It was mediocre noodles covered in syrup. Others had sushi said it was fine.A bit pricey for the quality.
Sushi Jo is my favorite restaurant. My girlfriend and I come here all the time. The food is absolutely amazing. The fish is completely fresh and the other dishes are next level good. From the fried chicken gyoza, to the fried rice, to the sushi rolls and raw sushi. Everything here is absolutely bomb. We are regulars and will remain that way as long as we live in so flo. 10/10.
Food is good, the service is not always great.
Expensive. Most food is very good. Poke bowl was atrocious.
Great food and service. Sushi was awesome.
This place used to be our favorite sushi spot in all of South FL. Idk what happened but the quality has gone down tremendously. Portions are much smaller, Wasabi crumbles into pieces, and the quality of the food isn't anywhere near what it used to be. The sushi tastes sad and questionable. Very overpriced for below average sushi. Sad to say me and my wife won't be coming here again
Best sushi ever!!
Was just ok
Waiting time between drinks and food was longer than preferred, I had to ask two separate people for help since our waiter wasn’t around. Overall, ok service and great food
Best sushi I've ever had
Really good fresh sushi!
Always good! Nice if your local
The best sushi I have ever had with awesome lemonade
Food is good but portions seem to have been cut in half especially sashimi pizza
Sushi Jo is truly a gem in our community! Their amazing sushi is always fresh and delicious, and their commitment to supporting our community is what sets them apart. Their recent participation in our silent auction event by donating to Palm Beach Public Elementary school was a true testament to their dedication to making a difference.
My family and I visit at least twice a week and we always feel welcomed and at home in their warm and friendly atmosphere. The service is always impeccable, and the food is simply divine. Sushi Jo truly deserves five stars, and we are grateful to have them in our neighborhood ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!
The sashimi was fresh and delicious. Service was great. But the music was like being at the disco or Regatón club. So loud I couldn’t hear a word - so no conversation.
It hasn’t found it’s identity as a restaurant, regatón night club, or sports bar.
I’m sure that if it chose one of the above options, it would be fine. But mixing sushi restaurant with super loud night club is not the mix I’m looking for.
Go if you want súper loud music with your sushi.
We have been here twice in the last year, great sushi... Love the hurricane rolls. Great service and ambiance!
I really enjoy coming to Sushi Jo, can’t say this location is my favorite. Both times that I came I received subpar service..watched my sushi sit on the counter while other servers took food out to other tables, other
people who arrived and ordered after me received their food. Both times I was never asked how anything was or if I needed any sauces, a refill maybe?! Basic stuff! Every time I needed something I had to wave down my server or interrupt. The restaurant was not busy both times, but I could see that they were concerned with their other regular clientele, take our orders, putting candles on the tables. Service seems to be based on the size of your check $ or your status at this location. Disappointed for sure
Excellent Sushi and service
Nice clean sushi, fast and delicious
This place is Amazing!! The food is fresh and delicious😍
Great sushi
I love sushi jo. They have the best sushi ever. This location is very neat and ducked off. I come her to dine in and take out. I came here recently with my dog for an early dinner and sat outside. It was very nice and quiet and my server was attentive and fast at getting my food. I love their spicy conch and octopus salad and their spicy tuna hand-roll. So fresh and tasty.
Quick service
Very good! Super high quality ingredients and solid atmosphere! Only down side is it’s more expensive than I think it’s got to be.
The Lobster Volcano role was just heaven sent. Another great neighborhood spot...in a neighborhood filled with great food.
Good not great
Fish and seaweed both seem fresh
Sushi came out quickly and with a good presentation
Staff outnumbered guests, and yet it was difficult to get service
Sauces were mild/bland - so was the wasabi
Green tea was good
On the expensive end even for a sushi place- especially one that didn't hit it out of the park
Nongnuch was wonderful and very friendly !Thank you! great food !
Food was ok but the service and the dirty sticky tables outside was very bad
Been enjoying great sushi here for years, aways great service. Joe's crunch roll is excellent.
Good food, great service
Just one of the best sushi places ever
Fantastic food, service and atmosphere.
Always great food
Always great sushi and staff
Once we got here, we were seated right away. But, once we ordered the rolls, it took awhile. We had ordered the Salmon California Roll, Wild salmon sashimi, and South of the Border Roll. All were delicious and fish seemed fresh. However, we ordered a very simple Cucumber Roll, and the seaweed seemed extra chewy, so I wasn't thrilled with it. Lastly, the service also took awhile. We had to walk to the waitress to get our check.
Phenomenal sushi and service. Highly recommend this restaurant.
