A few months back my husband Andrew and I were invited to the Mani Thai Restaurant in Manteca California by some really nice friends.The food was absolutely amazing and we knew that we had to go back for more.Here recently we went back twice in one week to enjoy some more delicious meals. It was my first time trying their Thai iced tea and it was very yummy. The green and red curries with sticky/ jasmine rice was so good.They have the best coconut soup we’ve ever tasted.The angel wings, papaya salad and short ribs were very delicious too.We live in Modesto and are planning on making another trip back for another wonderful meal.

This is an incredible local business! The food was amazing, the service was incredible, and you couldn’t ask for a more peaceful ambiance to enjoy your meal! I walked in and was immediately greeted to a smile from our server. Drinks were brought to our table promptly (we got waters and Thai tea), the Thai tea was delightful and not too sweet. We ordered crab Rangoons as an appetizer and they were incredible, but be careful because they are hot! We ordered a pad eggplant, one spicy pad khee mao(drunken noodles) with beef, and an extra drunken noodles with shrimp. The cooks in the kitchen DID NOT MISS! This is my new favorite Thai place in town and I will definitely be back often!

I can not express though words how the food is just damn good and tasty! I have tried different dishes each visit, I have not yet to like what I have ordered. From the Crispy Garlic Fish that you don't want to share to the Spicy Catfish that you want to lick the sauce off the plate and the Singapore Noodles that reminds me of the Filipino '

Taste was okay. ordered pumpkin curry and there was almost no pumpkin pretty much all bell peppers and the pumpkin that was in there wasn't fully cooked. Coconut curry was pretty much just all onion. Very disappointed

We ordered drunken noodles, pineapple fried rice, chicken satte,roti,and Panam curry. We got everything very fast. The prices were cheap. The chicken satte was amazing. Even the sauces! It was the best Thai restaurant we had in a long time!

Beware, False online prices!!! After Reviewing the menu online, I placed a take out order by phone. Upon my arrival I noticed my bill was 30% higher. I asked the cashier for an explication. She proceeded to state that I must have looked at another restaurants menu online by mistake?!.. We then reviewed the online prices together for confirmation. Cashier proceeded to state that the prices online are 3 years old and that google has forgotten to update them. The cashier and owner declined to honor the price and went as far as blame me “the customer” for not knowing their updated prices. Mind boggling!! They stated I should pay their inflated prices because they didn’t want to throw away the food, since it was preordered. Sounds crazy right!!! This place is running a scam and they need to understand Anyone looking to dine at a new restaurant will always research the menu & prices prior to their arrival. No accountability for their false advertisement and they expect the customer to pay for it. I’ll be reporting them to the better business bureau. Such an unpleasant situation.

This place is a gem! Fresh, handmade thai food with a friendly staff. The menu is simple with both classic and novel options. The restaurant is clean, bright and the air is refreshing, not oily or strong smelling. Do yourself a favor and try the Mussaman curry!

Best Thai in Manteca

My son loves Thai food. So we don’t really have much choice but to try different Thai restaurants. When we reached the restaurant, it was empty around 2pm. We ordered Thai fried rice, steam rice and ginger shrimp stir fry. I was happy to see fresh flowers on table. Our server was super sweet, greeted us and checked on us several times while we dined in.

As we were almost done with our lunch, we noticed several more people came in for lunch. It feels like most of them were regular customers coming in for late lunch.

Pro- Plenty of parking.

Cons - bathroom you need to go through the kitchen to use.

Overall, great restaurant. Food was delicious. My picky 7 year old son approves.

Not only is the food terrific and service quick, but after only one previous visit several weeks ago, the hosts welcomed Mr back and asked if I were alone tonight (my husband had been with me on previous occasion). Today in a world where courteousy and customer service seems to be unimportant, they practice it with charm! Thank you!

I love coming here every time I come back to Manteca. Prices are reasonable and the food is delicious. They accommodate to your spicy level so well. Food comes out within few minutes. I highly recommend this place if you’re driving through Manteca and feel like eating Thai/Laos food.

This is my go-to Thai restaurant in Manteca. They're always so kind. And they have been super accommodating on two separate occasions when I needed my Thai fix 10-15 minutes before closing when other local restaurants close their kitchens early.
Their food is great! I typically get the shrimp & pork spring rolls, pad see ew, green curry with rice and Thai boba tea. When businesses go the extra mile to keep their customers happy, I respect that! And even more when their food hits the spot too 😋.

Small cozy restaurant. Family owned. Nice place. The food was good. The service was too. After a 2nd visit. I can safely say the Thai tea contains lots of cream not much of a tea blend. Basil fried rice is ok. Crab fried rice is ok.

The food is excellent! The waitress always has a smile and very attentive. I have brought my family and friends and they all stated how delicious the food is! You won't be disappointed!

Finally a good Thai place, almost with it for the 1.5 hour drive. Everything was well made, Pad See Ew was fantastic.

We were so excited to order we heard the food was good so we did it online and the website gave us a choice of delivery or pick up? We had a busy night so we chose delivery with an eight dollar delivery charge and then we opted to give a tip to the driver. We waited and waited, wondering where our food was. Turns out they don’t do delivery. The delivery charge was not actually charged so we went and picked it up and just let them know about this misunderstanding but they were very unreceptive. We will not be going back.

Saturday 2:30PM, party of 4. Two large families were there and just ordered when we arrived. We were sat down and ignored for 15-20 minutes. We weren’t even offered drinks. Because I felt our business wasn’t valued, we decided to leave. As we left, I was chased down by a staff member, who asked us to stay. I declined and left. Too bad I had I bad experience. Not sure if I’ll come back.

Mani Thai Cuisine, is as close and even better Thai-food; that you can get without having to travel to Thailand. I know, I lived-in Thailand for awhile. Everything! On the menu is "Outstanding". The food is superb, their cutlery skills is second to none. Darling, is what makes: Mani Thai Cuisine.

Nee and her crew have a gem here. We came across her restaurant when seeking a place we haven't been.
It turns out that my wife knew her when my wife worked the Bank.
The Thai and Laotian food that we tried in our, so far, 2 visits was tasty with great presentation.
Both times the restaurant was 3/4 full. The seem to have a large volume of take out as well as food delivery.
We highly recommended this restaurant and this will be a regular place for us.

For Thai food it doesn’t get any better! I’ve been going here for quite sometime. I first found the owners in Tracy and followed them to Manteca. For me, it’s just that good. I love this place always fresh… my favorite is the curry and crab fried rice but I can honestly say I’ve never had anything that doesn’t taste exceptional!

Service was excellent, she was super busy with togo orders (4 of them) and still made time to stop by the table to check on us.

An order of fried Potstickers; fried to perfection, not oily or slimy. Light and Sakuto!

An order of Druken Noodles; Cooked and prepared most excellently. You could taste the care that was cooked into it.

And an order of Mixed veggies with beef and sticky rice, off of the lunch menu. Again cooked with care and you could taste.

Come and eat here you should be pleased we left happy and full.

This is one of two or three Thai restaurant in Manteca and they do a real nice job with their dishes. I would eat here again but decided I only support restaurants that open their restrooms to customers. So until they do, I will not be eating here.

The yellow curry is fantastic, as is their roti! I won't be ordering spicy though for my dishes, if you like spicy then, you'll probably enjoy their heat. I enjoy everything I eat here I just don't like too much spiciness 😊

When we walked in the first thing I noticed is that it was unbearably cold in the restaurant. I had to pull up my hood up on my hoodie and they didn't even notice. I had to ask if the AC was on. They finally turned up the heat a bit. The food was good. We had the bbq chicken and bbq pork plate. Service sucked. My wife needed more water and the young gentleman did not even look at us after serving our plates. She had to finish my water. We had to ask for a fork and napkins as he was serving our dinner. Maybe he was new but he needs to attend to the customer a bit more or they won't come back. Like US.

Loved the food.. we visited to celebrate our son's homecoming for his winter break.. Drunken noodles and hot n sour soup was awesome.. didn't like Sa te chicken as it was a bit sweet... overall, had a great experience 👍

New to Manteca and we loved this spot. We picked up and food was hot, the flavor of each dish could stand alone yet all together it was great. Pad Thai had a spice that was pleasant surprise. And next time we will need to get 2 mango sticky rice cause we will each need our own. Good portion sizes, friendly staff.

I am in the Manteca area for work. I live in Atlanta and have a ton of great choices near me at home. I found Mani Thai by doing a search for “Asian food near me”. I had the Thai tea, small Tom Kha Gai soup and the red curry with brown rice. I ordered the curry hot (not Thai hot). The soup was good, a little too sweet; I resolved this by adding some chili oil. The red curry was good, not particularly hot. The same nay complaint that I have would be the temperature in the restaurant, it was hot, I was sweating before my food arrived. Otherwise a good experience, I would try them again, maybe for take out…. Small update, when I received the bill, they put my red curry in the system as mild, now I know why it was not hot…

Delicious authentic food! Our party of 6 loved all that we ordered and we had some picky folks. Had the pad eggplant, panang curry,, summer rolls,, pad see eww, garlic pepper chicken and pumpkin carry. Had to use the bathroom and it was clean. The kitchen was spotless too!

Was so happy I gave this place a try. Sadly the place we used to order from moved away. The Pad Thai noodles were yummy the Basil Fried Rice was good but they use a smaller grain rice but I will get used to it. The lady who took my order over the phone was friendly and answered my questions. We will be returning.

Just learned of this restaurant and I am impressed. The pad Thai, satay, cucumber salad, Thai samosa is absolutely delicious! But THE peanut sauce is THE best I’ve ever had!!! Going to be trying other menu items but what I have had I highly recommend.

It’s under new ownership and no longer Chinese food however it is Thai food and THE BEST THAI FOOD I have found in the Central Valley as I come spoiled from the Bay Area and have yet to find comparable Thai food until now. The coconut smoothie with extra boba is my fav!!! They know me well now so when I call I just have to say who I am and they know what to make. Happy returning customer. Previous owners ARE VERY MISSED . I grew up eating here since I was 3 years old with my family.

New owner, new menu, new look...so far so good... I'm not a huge Thai food connoisseur, but food is my jam, so I have to find a new favorite dish at a restaurant I've come to for over 20 years, weird, but open to the challenge. The new owner is nice, but no pushover she's not afraid to black list.

Ho Sun’s Kitchen windowed restaurant sits on the corner of a plaza next to a Save Mart and CVS/pharmacy. Serving really delicious Thai food with excellent professional warm friendly service. It’s very clean inside and recently under new management.

My second time here,
I got the Pad Kee Maw (Drunken Noodles) with a Thai Milk Tea and it was served with a wonderful smile. You can customize your spiciness level, from mild to Thai hot (my preference ;) )

If you’re around, come through! Outta town? Worth the trip.

They have a wide selection of curry (I recommend the Yellow Curry with Shrimp/Chicken) There’s also avocado smoothie with boba made with fresh avocados, so good!

The first clue should have been the place was empty and always is empty. I am very sorry but I would not have their food again even if it was free. All the people giving 5 stars??? What did you order?? Not 1 STAR at ALL. I felt horrible but we did not eat the food after the first few bites. Left a full dinner on the table. Paid for it and left.

I have been visiting Ho Sun's Kitchen for near 20 years now and it has continued to be my favorite restaurant in the valley. The staff is always friend, the food delicious, and the price just right. Pro tip: Try the pork buns, they are AMAZING. They are not served every day so get them while you can.
