Don’t be dissuaded by the location! You don’t have to buy coconuts from the guy in the parking lot, but you DO have to stop here for the best Thai food I’ve ever had. We’ve only been twice, but both times the food was absolutely delicious! They’ll make it any way you like (I always add cashews), the sauce is delicious, the meat and veggies are perfectly cooked. We got the pumpkin curry and basil eggplant+cashews. Amazing!
Cozy and fast, this place has good portions, flavorful taste, and friendly service.
Ordered the Pad See Ew and green curry, both were solid, it was nice of the server to check if the default medium spiciness level of the curry was acceptable, because even though I toned it down to a mild, it still had a kick.
I heard that The restaurant we open under a new owner /management and had good food.
So we ordered the crab cakes, Pad Thai with chicken, garlic & ginger infused rice, and garlic spare ribs.
Everything was good. The spare ribs could have had more meaty and moist. You can tell the owners put thought and effort from their dishes and to the golden utensils, imported Thai wood chopsticks and subtle decor - simple yet good.
I will return again to try the other dishes that look very good on the menu especially their pad kee mao (aka Drunken Noodles) - a more savory noodle dish.
Service was great! Rita had this beaming smile throughout the time from when she greeted us , cleaned tables and explained the dishes.
It is located in a small strip mall, so parking can be challenging, although worth it.
This is it!
Not many good place around our area, but this is definitely on our go to list. 5⭐️ for sure.
The place with good and familiar taste of Thai food.
Did not disappoint. Tummy approved👍🏻👍🏻
On our order was Pad Thai(shrimp), Pad see ew(chicken) and Red panang curry(pork).
Must try other dish. 😋

Our 2nd visit. It is really good. Food was consistent with our previous orders. Had Penang curry 🐷, pad see ew 🐔, pad Thai 🐔, and tried their 🐔satay.
Will come back again.
Small place but very good atmosphere. Very accommodating staff. We even chat a bit about Thailand.
Probably the worst Thai food I have had. Me and my husband both ordered pad see ew. If you have ever had pad see ew it’s thick flat noodles what we got was pad Thai noodles so I called confused and she told me they ran out of flat noodles like okay please let people know when they come in picking up not never say anything. So I was gonna brush it off if it was good but some how my food was flavorless and extremely too spicy for a medium spice. Also my husband paid $2 extra for extra vegetables so definitely not get extra it was no different than mine. Also they say Chinese broccoli for it to just be regular broccoli. Just super disappointed and dissatisfied with my order and experience. The staff and store itself are nice and friendly but the food was not good.
Really great find on our road trip! Everything was delicious! Still thinking about the vegetarian/vegan green curry! I didn’t ask if it had fish sauce or something similar but I assumed it didn’t cause they confirmed it was vegetarian. They were super welcoming when we walked in, sat us down, and brought out our food fast (given we were the only ones there at 5pm lol). Service was great. Definitely a place with vegetarian/vegan options just don’t expect the entire menu to have stuff, it’s sprinkled throughout.
Best Thai food I've had in CA.

THIS IS THE BEST THAI FOOD HANDS DOWN. Stop looking at other places in the area they all suck compared to Golden Spoon. They use the good fish sauce, the good coconut milk, real kaffir lime leaves, the good Thai curry paste, all fresh ingredients, they aren’t afraid to make it spicy spicy, and it is a damn near sexual experience. IT’S THAT GOOD

Not only is the food absolutely amazing here but I placed a completely wrong door dash order in to where I basically ordered a ton of rice and a very nice young lady called me to inform me that my order was off and she did me such a huge favor by calling and letting me know I placed my order wrong. Thank you!!!
Brought family to Great Wolf Lodge and was craving for some spicy Thai food after a day at the water park. Called in ahead because we were cutting close to their closing time at 9pm. They were very friendly and welcoming and so decided to head over.
To our surprise they have set up a table for 4 ahead waiting for us to arrive, even though the restaurant was packed when we arrived.
Great food, love the BBQ chicken and the kids ate very well, with our 9 year old even drinking the coconut pandan sauce for the churros.😄
Family was happy and satisfied. One down side is that the space is kind of tight, but still manageable.
Our go to place for spicy Thai when in the area, for sure.
I am always on the lookout for good, authentic Thai food and on our way back from Yosemite , this one really knocked the ball out of the park! It's authentic enough to where the medium spicy is really the Thai medium spicy and you will feel it (and love it if you're like me) ! Highly recommend !!!
Great food good stuff
After delivering multiple door dash orders from here, my family decided to try it. Did not disappoint! Super cute family owned place. All the staff are super nice and the food is amazing.
Food was very fresh and tasty. The green curry was fantastic! It is a hidden gem and definitely worth for some good Thai food. Probably best for a small group since it's quaint
Small and cute dining area. Customer service was excellent and smiles from the employees were nice. I am going to be back to try more of their other foods. You can request items to be vegan and they can remove fish sauce in some dishes. Service was fast, we didn’t have to wait too long for our food to be made. Presentation of food was great.
Great food
The food is top notch. The atmosphere is not though. The table top is a bit sticky, and I see flies in the dining area.
We came in hungry and left more than satisfied. We ordered chicken satay, beef fried rice, pork Thai omelet, and pumpkin curry.
I’ve been struggling to find a good Thai place in the area and found this spot. My search is over. The food was delicious and the host/waitress was very friendly.
The portion size appears like most Thai places, but it felt sort of overpriced. However, it’s hard to complain about the portion size because the food was delicious. The true rating is 4.5 stars.
Highly recommend and will return.

Great food, very friendly staff, will definitely come back.
Good food and fast service, Thai food is on point!!!
The food was amazing. The server was very attentive - we’re the first customer in a Saturday morning. I can highly recommend this place especially if you’re a visitor
Only room for about 10-15 couples to eat. Tables will be closer together. My family and I ate dinner on a Thursday evening around 6 PM, and we were seated quickly. Service was very efficient, and our server was very friendly as well.
We all enjoyed the pad Thai, and the praram with chicken, as well as the garlic combo plate on the specials list. I really enjoyed the crispy pork belly salad, but I'm the only one in my family that eats spicy food. We also really liked the corn cakes as our appetizer, and the mango sticky rice with extra coconut milk as our dessert.
We ordered pad Thai, pad kee mao and tofu satay! Everything was delicious, we loved it! would recommend!
The service is excellent. The food is very authentic tasting. Even better than anywhere I've had in the bay area. The crab balls were similar crispy side dish. Reminds me of the tai huu ky shrimp patty in bean curd skin I used to have with my broken rice dish in San Jose. The pumpkin curry was fantastic. Fish cake patties are similar to Vietnamese fish cake patties but with a Thai flavor to it. Great with rice. Also the crab fried rice is favorite of mine.
Great Thai Food and super cute place to go!
Bad experience here. Service was rude, food was undercooked. Place was greasy and dirty. There was that foul smell from the aircon too. It is not a cheap place also, so disappointed. Stay away
Had a HORRIBLE experience. The staff is very RUDE.
I understand the restaurant is under new ownership and it is definitely not going in the right direction.
It was our weekly Thai food day and we visited this restaurant with my family of 6. We were seated on a table at the farther deeper corner of the restaurant, with limited air circulation. We were seated next to the housekeeping cart (picture attached). The corner has low air circulation and it had strong odors and smell from the housekeeping cart. We requested to be seated in front side where air circulation is better, but the staff at reception asked us to leave if we don't like the table they assigned to us. That was rude.
This humiliation spoiled our mood to eat anywhere out. It is not a loss of business to just this restaurant, but to the other hospitality fraternity.
RED ALERT for customers looking for a good time, great service and food. Reconsider visiting this restaurant if you don't want to spoil your mood.
I ordered potak the portions are a little small for family style therefore overpriced
Ordered via Grub Hub (pick up) 10 items for dinner. Yellow and Green Curry dishes did not include rice, which was surprising since most other Thai restaurants include rice. Both curries were delicious ($17.00 each) and mildly spicy. The chicken Pad Thai ($16.00) included shrimp and Tofu and was just ok. A bit bland. The Pineapple Fried Rice ($22.00) was very good. The Pad Makuer Tofu with chicken (eggplant dish $15.00) was the best thing we ordered despite its small portion. We were a little disappointed with the green bean and Chinese Broccoli sides; while they tasted good, they were not worth $10 each. The spicy seafood soup was very good and hearty at $19.00. And finally the chicken soup with rice noodles was perfect for my 2 yr old niece (but was $14.00). I bought a side of brown rice for $3.00 and good thing because rice goes so well with the curries. Total spend $155.00. Was it worth it? 🤔 Yes but we'll reconsider otdering sides. We just moved into the neighborhood so we're trying different places. Looking forward to our next visit.
Had the yellow chicken curry and it was very flavorful and rich. Had the Tom yum and the mussels were absolutely delicious and were big in size. The shrimp was very delicious as well. Definitely recommend this place and the bathroom is very clean.
Fresh, Delicious and affordable. The lady who serve and take orders is amazing. Highly recommended if you’re in Manteca!
Got the yellow curry w/ chicken. Everything was delicious and perfect.
I heard that The restaurant we open under a new owner /management and had good food.

We got the fried crab cakes, combination Pad Thai and green spicy curry. the food quality and taste was great so far the best in town we recommend this Thai restaurant.
The food is delicious, the service is amazing. The style and taste of food is definitely not Central Valley Thai tasting (if that makes sense). Really seems from the Bay Area, which is great! But a price comes with that I guess. A little pricey for dishes imo. They also added 18% gratuity for “the holiday” to eat in. Not sure if this happens for take out… but this leaves me feeling to not want to go back. I don’t agree with that unless you’re coming in with a certain amount of ppl. It was just two adults and a toddler. Sigh.
Dood is consistently hot to the table, flavorful and fresh. Service is fantastic, been here in slow lunches and packed dinners. The server adapts well! The music is entertaining and in slow periods there is a Thai food show on. The food is like going to a big city foodie spot, without the traffic. This has been many Thai restaurants over the years and we are SO GLAD that this is now Golden Spoon, it's been the best one!
Excellent food! Service was great. Busy night but they handled it like a champ
Amazing food, definitely coming back. My new favorite.
Attentive service and amazing food. Will definitely be coming back.
Amazing food with authentic favors! Great ambiance too!
My family and I came here after spending a day at the great wolf lodge. I appreciated that there was a good cultural eating spot in the manteca area. We ordered our food to go because it was getting late but when we actually got to enjoy our order it was amazing! The curry has a really nice round flavor and our noodle dis was devoured by the kids lol.
One of the things that I thought was a nice touch was that they did a great job of turning a less than awesome strip mall spot into a visual treat. There were nice cultural touches and layed out as well as it could be from an ergonomic perspective. Their website is unusually good too, haha
If your in the area definitely give Golden Spoon a shot!
Okay, this place food is DELICIOUS and reasonably priced. The food is plentiful, large servings. The service is GREAT.
I ordered through doordash and the presentation was nice even in the takeout boxes. Not only that, but this is some of the best thai food I’ve had in a while. I’m from Stockton and love thai food but haven’t had any good food since moving to Manteca… that changed with golden spoon. Their mango sticky rice was honestly the best i’ve ever had and made me have a foodgasm
Really great find on our road trip! Everything was delicious! Still thinking about the vegetarian/vegan green curry! Ordered vegan curry. Got beef curry. They didn’t seem to care. “Go on the app and get your money back”. Been here several times. Never again.
The Batchoy Chinese and Fried Crunchy Pork Belly tasted very Good as well as their Beef Pad SeeO
My wife is Thai and she liked the food a lot. Glad to have another solid food option in the area when we are visiting.
Came in on a Friday night with my husband. Super busy. Food was delicious. Papaya salad with pork belly 10+. Yellow curry to die for. Everything was so yummy. The waitress, server lady she was doing it all! Super friendly too . Definitely coming back and bringing whole family here.
Small gem in heart of Manteca.
Great Thai food place.
We ordered takeout and the order was perfect. We ordered the green beans with tofu, tofu satay and veggie noodle soup. All was delicious.
Absolutely fantastic food. The portions are massive, everything is very flavorful. The only issue with this place is that it can get noisy pretty quickly.
One of the best Thai food restaurants! We came from the Bay Area and this place is better than many we have tried. Great popular dishes, i.e Pad Thai. Tofu with peanut sauce plate and the crab noodles are my favorite. Love their fried rice and they give good portions! That is hard to find these days where restaurants raised their prices and cut the portions. One portion can be shared with 2 people. This is our place to go now for Thai foods. Nice and friendly people working there.
The food here is really delicious.
Went here twice and loved it each time. The pad tai, fried rice, BBQ Chicken, and the wings were so good. Get a milk Thai tea too, you won’t regret it!
Great food! It was our 38th wedding anniversary but I knew my wife wouldn't want to go out after work so I ordered online early in the morning for an evening delivery. It showed up right on time.
Great service!
😋
went here on the opening week just by chance ! food was amazing and staff was super friendly! 10/10
Golden Spoon is easily the best Thai food I have ever had! The food is super authentic and the ambiance is relaxed. Every dish I've tried so far in my 4 visits has been amazing, but I love the basil fried pork belly and the basil fried rice. The Pad Thai, fried crab rolls, and Thai iced tea are also delicious! Prices are very reasonable, service is excellent, and the staff is super, super nice. I could eat here every day. Highly recommended!!!
Curry is very good! And the sweet mango rice is very good as well! ive been to quite a bit of thai places in the bay and its very welcome to have a good place locally!
Be warned spicy is definitely spicy!
Noodle dishes needed more flavor, but the best dish we had was the basil garlic pork belly. It was a good portion that was bursting with flavors. Would go again for that and to try other items.
Sooo good 😋
While the overall food was good, it appears that there’s quite a few kinks that has to be worked out, perhaps due to the fact that they are new, so I’m willing to come back and try again
- we made a reservation but when we showed up, they didn’t seem to have a record or have saved a table. We ended up squeezing into a table for 2 with the 4 of us
- we ordered 5 dishes but only 4 arrived, they seemed to have forgotten one or the server never wrote it down
- we asked if the butterfly fish was spicy and she told us no, I confirmed as my kids are sensitive to spices. When it arrived it was SPICY!!! Even too spicy for me that I downed 2 glasses of water when the after effect lingered
We did enjoy the none spicy off ordered and will probably order other things if we go again.
Chilling and nice place
Excellent atmosphere and a unique menu. Lots of spicy options!
Amazing Pad Thai!!!
Disappointed with the small portion sizes for takeout, we paid $180+ (with an automatic tip that has no way to opt out) for cold mediocre Thai food. Not even sure how it was cold considering we waited 15 mins and watched it come directly from the kitchen. The pad Thai and chicken satay were the only acceptable dishes out of the 9 items we ordered. Papaya salad was chewy and made with old papaya, the beef and pork were overcooked, and the fried rice was 60% pineapple. Steer clear of this place unless you enjoy disappointment.
Order Togo everything on the spot.
Food taste fantastic and well presented
Little high in the price but it was worth it.
If I could, I would give 10 stars to this restaurant. Everything is delicious. I can't believe this restaurant had been open only just two weeks. My order was green curry and pad ke ma with dessert being mango, sticky rice. Everyone of the order has been nothing like any Thai food that I have tasted before. this is going to be my new favorite. The ambience and customer service is excellent as well:)
Our second time here and we love it
The food is Amazing, they use fresh high quality ingredients and they are so kind I ordered the wrong item and they remade me the correct item. So glad to have a great New Thai restaurant here in Manteca. Will be back often.
Thank you!!
A new Thai restaurant in Town. It was my first time found Thai food in Manteca.
We have ordered many dished I recommented standout dish was the butterflyfish. There was a whole deep fired fish with thai special dressing with mango on top. Wonderful taste and filled with aroma. Oh, don't forget Pineapple fired rice. Beautiful presentation and simply delicious and brought along by Chef Pinyo from Lapat Thai noodle in SF downtown.
AMBIENCE: I loved the atmosphere! The decor is classy with wonderful green color and natural lighting from windows.
SERVICE: Service was fast when taking our orders and diligent in refilling our waters.
ORDERS:
- Pineapple fried rice was great and good presentation.
- Butterfly Fish is the must I love a crispy fish and a thai style dressing with mango on the top.
- Crying Tiger Classic staple in Thai cuisine, which was executed well! Loved the spiciness of the dry chili sauce and the savory texture from sauce. The beef was juicy but not too dry meat. Very filling and soft to chew.
- Three kind of mushroom salad. They served as a warn dish texture was great and tasty.
- Poh tak Seafood. The broth was so good and feel thai tasty spicy soup.
RATING: Overall, my colleagues and I enjoyed the venue, and we were surprised by the portion quantities. Would come here again when I'm in Manteca!
PARKING: Easy to park as parking lot is front of the restaurant.
The price is reasonable, good service, good aesthetics, and high quality food and presentation, this place is good for you!
This place is new, so we came even though there aren’t many reviews. We loved the food and service so much, we came again the following day. This is authentic Thai food with Thai hospitality. We eat a lot of Thai food in the Bay Area, and this is the best one we’ve been to.
