Fun interesting place, not expensive.

It's one of my favorite spots in Hollywood to grab something to eat. It's a vibe. The food is good, the staff is friendly and attentive and has a great atmosphere to hang out for a while and enjoy some time with the company you're with. The spot is good during the day but way cooler at night.

Went last week with a Friend ✨️
This is an absolute staple to the area food was out of this World. Highly suggest the drunken noodles beef and the mango 🥭 sticky rice as an appetizer. Well worth the 2000 mile dive 😆 The most Authentic Thai I've ever had in my life 💛🎸✨️🏝

Diner Review №7

What a wild restaurant. Love the unique atmosphere that hasn't changed from back in the day. I like the different types of seating options and various old school tv's and projectors that provide some screen time without intruding on the food experience.

Highly recommend the thai toast and yellow curry, which I get every time. Nice sized menu that sticks to what works. Big portions at a great price point as well.

Diner Review №8

Diner Review №11

Great service and really delicious food. We were there mid afternoon so it was a little quiet but I've been there once before in the evening years ago and it was very fun!

Diner Review №12

Amazing food, service and atmosphere!

Diner Review №13

This spot is super cool; great food, service, and atmosphere. Our server Rachel took care of us, she was kind, timely, and attentive. We had the Thai toast to start which was tasty and unique, then I had the yellow curry with shrimp and brown rice. The rice was perfectly cooked and the curry was rich and satisfying. Would definitely visit again!

Diner Review №14

One of the best Pad Thai ever!!

Diner Review №15

Very tasty food and cool aesthetic!

Diner Review №17

Best Thai in LA. Always tranquil and tasty. I would go once a week if it didn't break the bank. While the prices are roughly $25-30/per person, it is truly worth it. Reminiscent of a NYC restaurant that's always open really late if you get the late night munchies. I also recommend the Pad See Ew w/Pork. Can't go wrong fellas! Cheers

Diner Review №18

I've been dining here since 2001 because I love the noodles. Today, I ordered through Door Dash and 2 out of 3 items were not bagged; the dasher didn't check as the bag was stapled. When I called Toi, the incompetent hostess said she forgot to include the 2 items due to a system issue and suggested I place a new order or request a refund. Zero accountability.

Diner Review №19

Good people, best food! Will come back one day.

Troy was a good little bar with great entertainment and friendly people it felt like a good relaxed place to chill I would recommend it definitely thank you

Diner Review №27

It took a threat of almost going to the hospital to get a refund - let me explain.
I would like to say I was very excited to try this restaurant. Whenever I walk by I notice a full place, smiling patrons, and what seems to be overall good vibes. This night seemed like a great night since I had to stay in to work on an essay I wanted to avoid making dinner. I walked in and was met with a smiling waitress at the counter. I could tell she was busy at the time she was a one woman show on the floor, answering phones, running cards, checking in with tables, and she did it with a smile well composed. Another good sign, so I thought. The woman handed me the menu and shared her thoughts on the dried chili dish I was considering. She answered the phone after I said I needed a few more moments since it was my first time here.

She proceeded to take the phone, and during that time a man appeared. The man proceeded with taking my order after I asked if tofu and cashews could be added to the sweet and sour dish. I left to grab my matcha latte and returned to pick up the order.

Once I arrived home I started to pour the food into my bowl only to notice there wasn’t any tofu or cashews added. I called right away because I was charged extra for the tofu and cashews that was not included in my food. This is where it gets interesting- I called the restaurant to inform them of the mistake. The man who took my order said he would get someone to help me…strange because he took my order. He didn’t inquire more about the situation nor did did he express any sort of apology for the mishap.

The woman from earlier answered the phone and I informed her that I was missing the tofu and cashews I ordered. She did say sorry but also told me she would have to check with the cook. After speaking with the cook she told me the mistake was made with not adding the cashews but ensured that tofu was added, I just needed to look. She also said kind of under her breath that she wished I would have let her taken my order. I told her I did look and there wasn’t any tofu. I asked if I could just get a refund and the woman said they don’t process refunds but I could get a credit. I didn’t want a credit because of the craziness behind calling to complain about my order. I So I made the decision to walk there as soon as I got off of the phone. It took all of 5 minutes walking distance to get there, luckily she was still there.
I brought the sweet and sour dish to show there wasn’t any tofu, once they saw this to confirm -Alanzo(the man who took my order) and the cook both saw there wasn’t any tofu.
Another man stepped in and the woman said he would take my order. I believe his name was Jake, tall dark hair. I asked if he was competent to take the order. . I really would have taken the refund and be done with it.. So I placed the pad woon sen order without egg, extra scallions, add tofu, add cashews. I look through the food and took a few bites. I notice these round white things. I thought it was strange to add pearl onions to a pad woon sen but ok I’ll try it. I freak out…these aren’t onions. My throat starts to itch and get irritated, my skin begins to itch, and I call back, Jake answers, “Hi, I just got off the phone with you. Do you all have scallops? I believe there scallops in my food and I did not order scallops.” He said they didn’t carry scallops in the restaurant. Once my friend confirmed it was scallops, returned to the restaurant to complain about the scallops. Jake had no response. I tried not to think about race being a part of this but this hands down is the worst experience I’ve ever had in hospitality. I’ve worked in the industry for years and well traveled…I have never experienced such negligence and awful service.I got the transaction voided BUT OMG this could have been avoided by simply refunding the first mistake without me, currently, having hives as I type this. What an awful very awful experience and I will share with anyone who listens to me. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! ALot was left out due to limited amount of characters.

Delicious Thai food with great service in a rock-and-roll-themed restaurant on Sunset Blvd. The theme was phenomenal—I never thought rock and roll and Thai cuisine would go together, but it made for a unique and fun experience. We were warmly greeted and had our order taken quickly. We went with the pad Thai with chicken, vegetable curry, and fried rice. The portions were very generous and perfect for sharing. The pad Thai was delicious, but the curry was my personal favorite. The fried rice was also really tasty. Our server was amazing—attentive and friendly throughout, making our time at Toi on Sunset even more enjoyable.

Diner Review №41

Loved this place so much we came 3 times during our stay in LA. Amazing Thai food, a lot of vegan / vegetarian options, really friendly staff, great decor, great prices (dishes are big, can easily feed at least 2 people) . Can’t recommend enough

Diner Review №42

One of the best Thai places we have been to. Was recommended to go here by a tour guide and couldn’t be more happy. Atmosphere is epic and the staff was amazing and so welcoming!! Yellow curry and the Quentin Tarantino dishes were amazing. Big portions!! Highly recommended !!

Diner Review №43

I lived in West Hollywood most of my life and moved away about eight years ago. I lived right up the street from Toi For several years, but never tried. I’m visiting from out of town and friends took me there. This was the best Thai food I think I’ve ever had and I love Thai food. The service was amazing. I will definitely be back there when I come back into town.

Diner Review №44

¿Rock y tai? La combinación perfecta que nunca puedes dudar en tener. Solo se puede comer mejro comida Tai en tailandia. El pad tai es legendario y su ambiente deja ver una epoca de gloria de Los angeles. 100% recomendado.

I automatically want to dislike any hipstery Asian restaurant but I cannot deny that this place is COOL and also has damn good food. Very eclectic decor and vibe, any food that I’ve had here has been delicious and in a large portion. Curry noodles are to die for! Great place for a fun date or night out with friends.

Diner Review №47

Great fast service . Awesome for birthdays too. Family atmosphere with hard rock atmosphere.

Diner Review №55

Historically, I've enjoyed this place but I was up all night with nausea and stomach discomfort after eating here. Willing to give it another try down the road, but it was a bummer feeling like garbage all night over some sticky rice.

Exceptional Thai cuisine! From the aromatic tom yum soup to the flavorful pad Thai, every dish bursts with authentic flavors. The cozy ambiance and attentive service make dining here a delightful experience. Highly recommend! The experience was really good, I didnt get the chance to go to this place in quite sometime now but this is the first place that I would love to go whenever I'm in the area.

You will not go wrong with the taste here!!!

Diner Review №63

Love this spot - just wish it was still part of AAdvantage Dining program 😢 ✈️ would come a lot more often!

Diner Review №64

This place is the best Thai food I’ve ever had in LA! Even I like all my thai food experience so far in different places but this one is the best! We ordered chicken dumplings with incredible sauce, shrimp rice noodles and lemon fried chicken! All of them are so delicious!

Diner Review №65

The food is good and generous, not too saucy, not too sweet. The atmosphere is really nice and the music is neither too loud nor too quiet. You can hear you talking and still appreciate the music. They've got a good variety of beverages. The pricing is very good. Service is good because they are giving you proper advice on the food without making the choices for you.

Very good discovery

Diner Review №66

I picked up my order. The two people at the front were rude. And then the pineapple fried rice was mediocre. Very disappointed.

Diner Review №67

When my band was doing pre production on a record in West Hollywood we would eat here at least 3 times a week. Amazing food and very reasonably priced for the Strip!

Diner Review №68

Good to be back after many years...

Diner Review №69

Loved it. My chicken dumplings were perfection w/ the Chardonnay that I ordered. Definitely will be coming back again.

Diner Review №70

Diner Review №71

Favorite Thai place in West Hollywood!!!

Diner Review №72

Ordered delivery and was very pleased! Got egg rolls, pad Thai, and pad kra pao. The pad kra pao didn’t come with rice which I’m not sure is a delivery mistake or not but will be sure to order with it next time. Either way, everything was very tasty and I would definitely order from here again!

Diner Review №73

Best Thai I ever had, the brown rice is like no other.

Diner Review №74

The whole place smelled of Urine. It was hard to ignore. I didn't want to disappoint my wife, so I didn't complain. She wanted to eat here.

We ordered 2 plates, the pad thai & bahmi. The pad thai was ok, the bahmi tasted like you forgot your macaroni salad at the park, and i found a hair in it, looked like rodent hair. completely inedible.

Cost wise: 2 plates 2 drinks $50 even

Diner Review №75

Had a great dinner! Panang dumplings were amazing. Wish the Tom Yum soup was more flavorful and not as watery.

Diner Review №76

Out of this world atmosphere with quality service. Food itself was good but nothing mind-blowing.

Diner Review №77

Really bad, expensive. This is unauthentic, poorly cooked and flavored. Veggies were either under cooked or over done. Barely any protein in the dish. This is just not good. There’s a lot of real Thai food in LA, go elsewhere.

Diner Review №78

Everything we ordered was good 👍

Diner Review №79

1st time here
I had the papaya salad and pad thai. Both were yummy.

Diner Review №80

Super ambiance Rock - métal - punk, la bouffe est vraiment bonne 🤘👌

Diner Review №81

Chicken satay wasn’t that good

Diner Review №82

Diner Review №83

Fun atmosphere and the best panang curry in LA!

Diner Review №84

The classic rock and low light atmosphere makes it good for a dinner date.

Diner Review №85

Food was very flavorful! Kinda of a "hole in the wall" place. The atmosphere was decorated with many music legends.Entrees were hot and plentiful. I very much enjoyed my order, and I had it customized.
I sampled my Son's and my wife's entree and they were just as spectacular.

Diner Review №86

Ordered noodle curry, fried rice and lemon. Noodle curry contained steel part of steel wool scrubber. Got some plastic paper in lemonade. Seems like they don’t clean the plates and dishes properly before serving.

Diner Review №98

Super fun atmosphere, great service, and incredibly delicious food. Loved it!

Diner Review №99

Went in to TOI on Sunset randomly for lunch. We weren't expecting much but the food was surprisingly good, especially the Vegetarian red curry. It doesn't have much tofu, but the coconut flavour of the sauce was great and fresh Thai basil was a good touch! Food gets only four stars because our chicken salad was pretty basic but the portion was huge. Service was very friendly and quick. Ambiance was interesting. We'll be back if in LA again.

Diner Review №100

Don't sleep on Toi, this place rules. Do yourself a favor and skip the overhyped Thai spots like Anajak and come here. You don't need a reservation, they have a great happy hour, and the vibe is great. It might not be the most legit Thai place in the city but it's fun, the portions are huuuuuge, and every dish I've tried has been super tasty (get the Toi curry noodles / khao soi - it's legit).

Diner Review №101

I've been coming here since this 90s! The food quality, ambiance, and service have remained fabulous! Brought my boyfriend this time, who is a major rock'nroll fan... now, this is his favorite Thai restaurant in town! Planning to take a friend who's visiting LA for the 1st time... to get a "taste of LA!"

Diner Review №102

Really wish I could do more than 5 stars

Diner Review №103

I truly enjoyed my visit, especially sitting on the cushions. The staff was extremely attentive and accommodating towards my service pet. It was an incredibly unique and enjoyable experience.

Diner Review №104

This place is a true old school Hollywood classic and one of my favorite places for many years now. The food has been consistently good and I've always liked the rock'n'roll atmosphere there. And I've always had great service there.
I definitely recommend the fried wontons and the red curry, both my favorites. Oh, and their black rice to go with it!
The only caveat is that parking can be tricky sometimes as there is no lot, so check the side streets or use ride share.

Diner Review №105

My favorite Thai in Weho/Hollywood. Food and service are excellent. Great beers. Cool vibe. They're open late.

Diner Review №106

Extremely disappointed.
When a restaurant says that they are open until 12 That should be the time that they shut their door. Arrived In front of toI at 11:45 And they were already dark with lights off I remember when I started coming to toi 20 years ago. I drove a band bus After The show was over at the house of blues on sunset. Or neighboring venues The band crew members and Groupies. Our spot was toI It didn't matter what time we showed up. Could have been 4am Which was when they used to close and we were always welcomed in Times have definitely changed.

Diner Review №110

Cool vibes and great food

Diner Review №111

Worst Thai I have ever had. $89 and they didn’t even give us utensils. Soup tasted like lemon cleaner. Wontons were ok . Everything else was horrible plus trying to eat with our fingers was a joke.

Diner Review №112

Had such a fun time here! A large group of us decided to stop in on a Saturday night around 10:30pm not problem seating a party of 9. What a great time the atmosphere was awesome. This place takes you back to the 70's such fun looking at all the different decor, vintage posters and pictures. The music is awesome great variety of rock. Food was perfect our waiter was knowledgeable of the menu made some great recommendations. The portions are large I recommend sharing.

Diner Review №113

Diner Review №114

Diner Review №115

Toi has always been an old favorite of mine. The ambience is great, and definitely presses all the right nostalgia buttons. The only negative aspect was the service we received on our last visit. Our waiter was unfortunately the epitome of inattentive. However, that only dropping my rating by one star should speak heavily to the appeal in other areas.

Diner Review №124

This place is awesome! Very eclectic atmosphere, rock and roll theme based. The music playing was '80s and '90s rock and roll. The food is amazing. I haven't been here in quite a few years but it did not disappoint. I got the yellow chicken curry with brown rice We also got drunken noodles both dishes were amazing The portions were hardy so you don't have to worry about being hungry when you leave. I'm glad this place is still in business and continues to thrive! Parking can be tricky, there are meters on the street. Go enjoy some rock and roll and some great Thai food!

From all the way from Florida and it’s amazing. We found it on google and we were so happy that we came here. Everything was amazing and service was great.

Diner Review №145

The wait was over 30 minutes. The rice noodles had melted into a goopy mess. I brought people from out of the country to try Thai food but the music was very loud, the wait was too long and the food suffered from it. Could be a cool place for the atmosphere but my friends were hungry and not interested in the genre of music

Been going here for over 15 years and never wrote a review! Has always been our after concert late-night dinner when in the area. Our order is always the same and it's the best, Toi BBQ chicken and sweet and sour chicken. We've introduced many friends to our favorite place. We moved out of state a few years ago, so sadly we don't get to eat here often anymore, but you can guarantee our 1x/year trips home, this is one of our stops. We were just there last week with our kids and they loved the lemon tempura chicken! Food is delicious, also great for people watching too. So I’m a first time visitor of the establishment, and I’m extremely disappointed, as a black woman, I’m here with two guests, and the server was just being so nasty and so disrespectful. All we wanted to do was get a to go order and they’re saying that we need to leave our table and wait at the bar. However, we are black and he was giving so much sass? Why is that necessary, no one else is entering the establishment right now, it’s not busy, so what is the reason for us to get up out of our seats. It was this guy was pink hair. I’m not sure what his name is but overall very low rating because I’ll never come back. Very disappointed, cursing at customers. Such a disgusting behavior, I’m disgusted, will post a story on my TikTok @iyareee the guys name is supposedly Charlie but I think he was lying.

A fun and eclectic environment with great food.

Vegetarian and vegan dishes available that do not lack flavor.
We love the veg and shrimp pad Thai, crispy tofu, crab wontons and cucumber salad

Weekends you might have to wait awhile for a table, but be patient, it’s worth the wait!
Prices are good, the service also good but the parking can be challenging sometimes.

Don’t forget to checkout the urban punk rock graffitied bathrooms, even if you don’t need to use the services, the walls tell hundreds of funny tales.
Enjoy!

Food was good as it was my first time trying and coming from out of town. Service was eh. But still was gonna leave tip. UNTIL server assumed that our change was possibly a tip and got bothered when we were waiting and asked for our change so with how he got an attitude we just took it back. Then as we left he chased out and said he wouldn’t serve us if we didn’t tip next time. Like seriously. I work in food service as well and if I don’t get tipped I don’t chase our customers to ask for tip.

Diner Review №193

Really good pad Thai and dumplings! Thai bread was a bit too fried for my taste but the cucumber peanut sauce with it made it better! If you get sensory overload easily, beware there is a lot going on with multiple screens, a projector and colored lights with music.
