Welcoming, family-run Thai restaurant serving homestyle recipes for casual dining or takeout.
Great food and service. We have dined here a few times and the food and service is great. The food is very clean and tasty, not too oily. The branzino along with crab friend rice is excellent. Shrimp pad thai is fantastic and the service is very attentive.
Si Laa is the golden standard of authentic Thai cuisine, and I am giving my highest recommendation possible!
The menu covers an amazing amount of territory, and everything I’ve tried has been ungodly delicious. From the Hidden Treasures appetizer (prawns/shrimp, blue crab meat, coconut curry) to something as simple as the Garlic and Ginger fried rice (convinced this could be the answer to World Peace), one can appreciate that every dish was undoubtedly prepared with care and attention.
At the end of the meal, we were greeted by the executive chef, and I must say, she is the epitome of the American dream. Legend has it that Leonardo DiCapario and Keanu Reeves are regulars here - if it’s good enough for these guys, it’s good enough for me!
Whilst some restaurant cut corners, I admire that Si Laa has kept true to form in pushing the envelope for how Thai food should be served. 5/5
Y’all have a customer for life 🙏
The taste is good but the size is extremely small given the expensive price.
Great food, Best Thai Restaurant in LA. A true hidden quiet & small Family run Gem of a restaurant. Best Spring Rolls, Soup, Cashew Nut Chicken, Pad Thai, Garlic String Beans and Whole Fresh Fish, great rice! only open Thurs- Sunday for Dinner only, Enjoy!
Authentic Thai Food & great people. I‘ll be back!
The best Thai food in LA, no question. Been customer for many years and appreciate the family who owns and runs the restaurant and never waivers on quality. Stay updated for their special dishes. Pro tip: check their wine list, unique selection and surprisingly affordable.

loses a point for being overpriced. loses another point for having the SMALLEST portions. food was ok. spent over $59 on takeout only to find a little over a cup of food.
had to order more food from somewhere else after.
One of the best Thai Food restaurants in Los Angeles, hands down. Everything on the menu is delicious.
Best Thai food in Los Angeles
Exceptional. Would recommend coming in and enjoying the atmosphere and great staff.
The Coconut soup! OMG.
I am so excited to have found this family run Thai restaurant that is nice, but not stuffy, with amazing food and atmosphere (I ususally cannot hear anything in restaurants :( but not here). I cannot wait to return!
It's a bit pricier than I'm comfortably paying. I ordered two starter items and waited for a bit for the food.
The food was excellent.

All the food that we ordered, from starters to dessert, were all excellent!
the food was good.
Most plates are pretty delicious. Service can be better. The focus was missing despite we were almost the only table.
Excellent food and service, definitely going back
Really enjoy the steak stay and cashew chicken.
This gem of a restaurant is the best kept secret in LA! It is our “go to” for celebrations as well as “I don’t want to cook tonight, what shall we do instead?” The family who owns and operates is second to none in authenticity as well as kindness. The short rib curry, hidden treasures, and wine from the Alsace region are must haves. As for everything else, you cannot go wrong!

Devils noodle was delicious! Amazing Wok Hay. We also ordered the lard chicken appetizer and the sweet and sour stir fry of chicken wrapped in lettuce is unlike anything I’ve ever had before!
Delicious :)
Thai food at a cute restaurant on Robertson. Somewhat Americanized Thai that is acceptable. Although the food is decent, the portions are small. Not that small cannot be good but the food is not good enough to get away with such small portions. Overall the food is pretty good.

Excellent cuisine and service. One of our favorite spots in LA
Delicate, flavorful, and tasty Thai foods with friendly staff. Pleasant decors and comfortable presentation created a good ambience for enjoyment.
This amazing restaurant has somehow eluded me for many years. Upon entering, I found the restaurant filled with patrons who could attest to its quality.
The menu is diverse and delicious. Though not listed on the lunch menu, the House Fried Rice is an excellent choice.
The service was friendly, fast, and consistent.
If the front parking lot is full, you will find more around back, so don’t be deterred.
Good food, portions need to be bigger.
Excellent, i highly recommend the Duck but they do run out so, check in advance.
Gorgeous food. My new favorite restaurant. Amazing.
It was a great place to be.
First class Thai food. OUTSTANDING experience!
We had four appetizers, three were delicious and the fourth was okay, and an order of PadThai noodles which was excellent. We shared three beers. The service was excellent. The only problem was the bill... $90!!!! Plus tip. Yikes!
This place is expensive. It does not taste any better than other Thai takeouts.

Good place for quality Thai food. I think I might become a regular.
Great Thai spot in this area. Really low key restaurant that's quiet. Most of the food we had was really good. Highly recommend the pad see you with the short rib cooked perfectly soft, green curry with the very flakey roti, prime beef satay, and the Thai iced tea was perfectly sweet. Only thing was the bill was a bit more than expected but after 20% tip and tax it was 55 and we had lots of leftovers. But for how good the food was and service and considering it's West LA, seems about right.
So good food
Very good
Their thai food is delicious and love the si laa duck
This is our favorite Thai restaurant in LA. We have tried many and consider ourselves Thai food connoisseurs. 😂This is a winner! Try the green curry with short rib, chicken red curry and the chicken pad Thai! ❤️
Ambience is nice. Service is good too
Always delicious!
Liked this Thai place where their menu is more of a local dish inspired with Thai cuisine
Overpriced and mediocre at best. Relatively small portions here are not complimented by quality or price. I don't mind spending $17+ for a single dish of Thai food if it is creative or quality but nothing about the food here justifies the price tag. I prefer Tuk Tuk for Thai in this area.
Absolutely the best Thai food. The crispy duck is a must.
Husband took me here for Birthday dinner after reading reviews - and it was perfect!! The place and staff are wonderful, and the food - outstanding!! Now after way tioo long (3 weeks), we're going back this weekend.
Such a wonderful place, delicious choices
Good food, small portions.
Very delicious, though slow service
Luv this place....The food is outstanding...You must try the lobster appetizer and of course Sake! Very quaint to have a date dinner. Every from service to each bite of what ever you order is amazing !
Good food. Small portions. Elegant.
I just walked in to this place with no expectations and I have some Thai food in my life before, I can say that this place is one of the best I have had
Very fresh and clean, worm atmosphere and nice back round music
Will definitely be back there
Favorite neighborhood Thai place. They use quality ingredients and the menu isn't your trypical Thai fare.
Terrific food!
Really great food but rather expensive for the amount of food you get.
The best Thai restaurant in Los Angeles.
Street parking, a little tough to find, lots of traffic to get there. But, worth it. Food is really good and service is excellent. One star off because it's kind of out of the way for almost anywhere besides Beverly Hills.
Great food.
Good but expensive. I had dinner here Friday night. Great place to take a date but probably not for some casual eating.
Service is sketchy. Took a while to get order in. We were never asked if we wanted another beer or wine. They did not remove my empty beer glass until I asked them to. Food good, a little pricey. Place looks small and weird from street. Food came.out per dish as it was done respectively.
Great food!
Yummy and absolutely fantastic food
been there a few times, fantastic quality, you will eat on table cloth and real plates and silver. Quality of food is excellent, service impeccable. Can't go wrong there.
Awesome surprise and cozy atmosphere....
Delicious food and friendly staff! Must visit!
Good food and atmosphere, but overpriced.
Si Laa is one of the best hidden gems in la. The food is amazing, the service is great and it's the perfect little restaurant. It's a family-owned business with the daughters running the front end and the mother and grandmother in the kitchen. Very authentic and all around amazing food. Hard-pressed to find this combo elsewhere in la.
Excellent Thai food and ambiance. I see why it got high ratings. The food is fresh and flavorful, and really authentic. Great variety in the menu as well.
Hands down the best Thai place in the area. Excellent service and delicious food. What else could you ask for!?
Just tried Si Laa for the first time. Fantastic! Taking off one star because, as other reviewers have mentioned, the prices are high and the portions are small compared to many Thai restaurants. But you're paying for the fanciness of the place. It's pretty upscale.
We ordered the chicken larb, crispy duck, and garlic ginger rice. Everything was delicious and on point, particularly the larb which came with the most perfect Romaine lettuce leaves. Where did this pristine lettuce come from in the middle of February?
We'll definitely be back to try the branzino. One of those went by and it looked amazing.
The place is very small, so make a reservation. There's a second room attached to the main dining room, but it was empty and looked like it's never used (maybe they're still working on it). I hope they do expand, because they seem to have enough business to fill the space, and they deserve it.
Cozy atmosphere with delicious food and super friendly service! The beef satay was good for starters but the duck in the plum sauce was to die for! Definitely the reason I'd go back. Only drawback is charging $4 for a small sidebowl of white rice. That should just be part of the meal or priced into the dish.
Very good Hot Basil. Not very spicy, but I'm sure you could ask them to heat it up.
Si Laa is a fantastic Thai restaurant experience with a great mastery of taste and spices that will leave you wanting more.
We ordered the dumplings while I also ordered the short rib. Five dumplings are served which portion-wise, seem pretty small. Nevertheless, you have to love the spice and kick each one has. It has enough of a different taste to really intrigue you. The short rib was pretty amazing. The short rib itself melts in your mouth. Delicious. The green curry it comes in is also delicious and has a nice zest and spice. You have to also appreciate the pancakes it comes with. I do wish the portions were slightly bigger for the price you pay but the taste makes it worth it. They also have a variety of traditional Thai dishes like the pad see ew along with beer/Thai iced tea/wine and salads.
Parking is done on the street level. The decor is clean and simple and the servers are very kind.
Si Laa is highly recommended to any Thai fan and anyone seeking a slightly different Thai experience.
Really tasty.. not watered down with oil and butter to mask subpar quality ingredients
