This place is trash, I thought I was going to another Thai restaurant half a block away. I should have went with my gut but they use all the nerve and fatty parts of the chicken that most places throw away and I tried to get at least half off but the lady couldn't even do that.
The beef salad had beef jerky on top, straight nasty= $59.91

Great service, way better than the ocha at Vermont. This place on sunset is not crowded at all. They take your order and food is served very fast. Also a lot of parking available and it's free.

This was my favorite place growing up coming to L.A, and after so many years, they still got the same incredible flavor.

Honestly I had tasted some other Thai restaurants, but Ocha is the best👌🏻

They give Mexican rice for Thai rice and no flavor . Shrimp taste old .

The quality of rice and noodles has changed . It does affect the flavor . It used to be delicious.

Everything has changed here!! The other locations are way better and the service as well. The fried rice looked like Mexican rice with no flavor and the spicy shrimp soup had no spice in it. Will def go somewhere else now.

Great place, I go here with my son all the time. The employees are always very friendly and it’s a very welcoming environment. 10/10 would recommend.

I’ve been to so many Thai places all over the valley and we have NEVER received bad customer service like the one at this location. It’s really disappointing especially because I hate to be one that complains. First off, she called us up to the table to order and since we were not expecting to order before we sat, we were thinking about what we wanted and she proceeded to be rude and say “you HAVE to order here”…. Yes we know that as you made that very apparent from the beginning.

Although I’m okay with paying before we sit (perhaps due to the area), I don’t think it’s okay to demand the check/tip while we’re still eating. What’s the rush? We already paid before hand. How do you expect me to tip when we haven’t even finished eating? On top of that, standing behind me looking over my shoulder & bending your neck, waiting for me to decide what amount to tip because your customer service was terrible. Don’t be so rude next time and demand the check & tip right away, it’s disrespectful while we’re still eating. There’s no difference collecting the check after we’re done eating because we PAID already!

Food great restaurant is weird maybe it's an LA thing order and pay at central table one menu for everyone. Food came out quick, but in to go boxes. They need to snap out of COVID habits.

We did not enjoy the styrofoam serveware or standing to order and pay the food before sitting and eating. We were directed to sit at a table with a fly swatter on the seat. When we asked the attendant to take it and he wiped it down but didn't dry it.

We had to pay and order at one of the booths before we even got seated. No real silverware or plates or cups. Everything was disposable paper plates and cups. Food did not taste like Ocha. It was bland and not spicy at all. I've never been to this "Ocha " before and would not come back.

Disposable plates, greasy food, place smells like cat food. To make things worse, if you tip the cleaners, the owners of the restaurant take their tips away and threaten to deport them. My dad talked to one of the guys and he told him this vital piece of information.

The customer service is really bad. It's supper hot. They purposely keep it hot. This way you leave fast. They write the order in a different language. You can't even read your own order. Wouldn't recommend this place. Maybe just maybe to go.

I use to come here and haven’t been here for years. It has changed ALOT! You don’t get the same service I understand some things change due to Covid but this was a disappointment. There are no waiters or waitresses to take your order you have to order and pay before sitting. They give you the cheap disposable plates and utensils and the place just looks run down. They don’t even treat their employees well. They take the tips and don’t give it to the employees that are deserve it! The soup was good as I remember (that’s why I gave it a 1 star) but the noodles and chop suey were horrible!! I will never come back here again!

They gave us plastic utensils, they also gave styrofoam plates , bottled water, no cup of water plus they charged $53 in total including two bottle watered.

Thai Ocha is good. The food came fast, the portions were big and the service was nice. Thank you.

I came to this restaurant for a very long time, and I feel nostalgic every time I come here.

But I noticed that this restaurant has taken a hard beating since the Covid Pandemic. The quality in this place has dropped. They now serve food in cheap disposable bowls and plates. They don't offer glasses of water anymore, THEY EVEN HAVE A BROKEN TABLE THAT THEY NEVER BOTHERED TO FIX SINCE EARLY 2022.

They stopped playing music over the speakers to give a happy vibe, the old lady waiter clearly doesn't know what she is doing, and the building looks like it's in bad condition.

I give this place 2 stars at the max. I only added 1 more star because of nostalgic memories. Don't come here anymore.

It was my first time trying this Ocha location. If you've read other reviews from me, you may have noticed I am an Ocha lover lol. I was a little reluctant to trying a new location because I've been going to the same one for YEARS. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The food was good, especially the vegetable egg rolls... that CRUNCH! I wasn't a fan of the food being served in foam take out containers and being given plastic eating utensils, but it's not a deal breaker. It's a good option if you're looking for Thai food.

Still amazing!!!! Have not had a meal at any of the Ocha restaurants since I moved out of the LA area some years ago, the classic Vermont one was a favorite, and today I remembered why!! We had the delicious shrimp wonton soup and shrimp fried rice and veggie egg rolls. Everything was fresh and and tasty. Happy to see that these classic dishes are still being served hot and fresh!!! Yummmmmo!

At least they served us here. I would strongly recommend to go to the Ocha on 8th St and Vermont. They serve you food here with to go boxes, plates, bowls, plastic forks, plastic spoons and cups. We ordered the 7 Mares and they didn't even give us the crab legs. The clams were pretty nasty too they weren't washed properly. If you were to eat one you would chew on sand!

Came here with my boys to get some soup. If I would have read the reviews I wouldn't have came. Older lady is extremely rude. And they give disposable plates and cups. They don't even have hot tea or anything.

Great service, when its not busy. Always been one of my family's favorite restaurants. We Love and always order their shrimp fried rice,
Shrimp chow main, orange chicken, 7 seafood soup, and beef and broccoli. And thai ice tea of course can’t forget that.🥰

This particular Ocha is a gem. I love the pad see ew with their amazing tofu or chicken. Their chicken curry (order a side of rice!) is so wholesome and delicious. A bit different than any other yellow curry I’ve had. So good! They also have amazing platters and soups I’ve seen at the restaurant I gotta try. They are quick too!

If i could give 0 stars i would. This place had such terrible customer service from the server who took our order. They got my friend’s order incorrect and refused to accommodate us and what she wanted or at least acknowledge their mistake. On top of that they didn’t even allow us to get a new dish instead, she just kept talking over us insisting we were wrong. Whatever, well we were so upset we walked out without our food even though it was paid for bc they left us no choice. Also they don’t follow california mask mandates, as we noticed the hostess was only wearing the face shield w no mask.

I do not recommend eating here. The older woman who took our order was very rude to my friend and ended up yelling at her for correcting a mistake with her order! It felt very disrespectful and was not an acceptable way to speak to someone.

Luego estaba buscando una sopa especifica, lo que siempre pido y apunte a algo y pregunte si esa era la sopa y la señora nada más movio la cabeza que si. Luego cuando llego mi comida, no era lo que yo habia pedido. Cuando trate de decirle eso a la señora, solo se puso a peliar que yo habia hecho el error y que yo habia pedido eso y me lo tenia que quedar. En ningun momento trato de escucharme ni resolver el problema. Ofreci pagar la diferencia si lo que yo si queria era mas costoso, pero para nada trato de escucharme. Me tuve que ir, sin comida, y lo peor es que ya lo habia pagado porque tienes que pagar antes de recibir la comida. Terrible lugar, con muy mal servicio. No vayan aqui.

I came in to this place, and first of all, the old lady up front isn't even wearing a mask, just a face shield, but I tried to ignore that. Then, I was trying to order a specific soup and when I pointed at the menu asking if it was that one, the lady taking my order just nodded. I assumed that she knew what I was asking for. I had to pay upfront before getting my food, and once we got our food, it wasn't what I had asked for. When I told them that I wanted the soup, they insisted that I ordered that. The lady just kept fighting back that it had been my mistake and I had to keep the food since I ordered that. I insisted that I didn't want to take the food and she kept talking over me and wouldn't listen to me. I was trying to tell her that I wouldn't mind paying the difference if what I wanted was more expensive but she just kept interrupting me and being completely rude. They weren't willing to listen or work something out with me. Sadly, I ended up walking out without any food, even after I had already paid for it. Definitely don't go here, terrible customer service.

Really rude service over the phone. I was trying to ask if I need to bring my vaccine card for the restaurant but the lady answering the phone thought I was joking and just hung up on me. Tried calling couple more times and they never answered my phone call. Disappointed on the way they treat a customer.

Old lady cashier gave up mid sentence trying to pronounce my friends name, got mad when I asked what’s in the dish. Food is alright at best. This place was way better back then.

Best Chow mein I've ever had in my entire life. Got the combination plate. Which came with Beef Chicken and Shrimp. I am definitely going to make this place a weekly routine.

They said it closes at 10:00 and I got here at 10:30 and they said that it's closed at all the chips went home so why would they put on site that they close at 10:00 if it's not the actual hour they should just say we close at 9:00 and that way we know and I came all the way here from far away and for nothing

Possibly the worste Thai food place Ive ever been to. Tried it twice because I believe in giving second chances, but both times this place failed flat on its face.

Ordered yellow chicken curry and found out they put Jalapenos in the curry with the other bell peppers. GROSS!! This made the curry simply too spicy and virtually inedible.

On the second visit, I specifically told them not to include the Jalapenos, but low and behold, they still added them. Had I been dinning in as opposed to take out due to Covid, I would have kicked this back to the kitchen and told them to either do it right like how I ordered it, or give me a refund, as this abominable excuse for curry cost me over $20. >:(

Safe to say I WILL NOT be giving this place a third try.

I drive 1 hour and half to come here and it’s worth it :) the food is so delicious very good service nice drinks and I always get treated very kindly by the employees and the place is always so clean and the vibe is very chill and makes me so calm !! 10/10 recommend coming her and good prices !!!

I ordered 2 seafood soups and got charged for 2 but they only gave me 1 soup and when I qsked for the other soup they refused. I didnt know what to do so I left cause no arguing with them they won't refund me my money. They said I was wrong I paid over 16 per soup and only got 1 wowi hate this location and the only reason I came was because the one on sunset was closed and this one is like 2 blocks away

They had my car towed even tho I was not parking anywhere near their business. There is 1 tiny sign they have propped up in their business that says dont park here or be towed. The rest of the plaza is empty businesses. They have no business calling to have my car towed.

The service was friendly, and the food was delicious. It's a great place to go eat with family and friends. They give generous portions so I recommend you order to share.
