Family-owned nook with eclectic decor & late hours preparing Thai street food to eat in or take out.
I'm Thai, and I can confirm that this is the true taste of what Thai food should be!
We had amazing Shrimp Tom Yum, Fermented fish papaya salad, and grilled pork neck. 10/10 🎉
The price is not so pricey like other Thai restaurants here. Highly recommended!!
Pro tip: Try jasmine rice with soup and stir fry food, and sticky rice with papaya salad, and grilled meat.
Was looking for authentic Lao food but came across Isaan food, next best thing! The pad se ewe was so flavorful and superb. I actually wanted to order another one to go but didn’t want to indulge. The beef jerky appetizer was phenomenal like moms would make. The Jao/dipping sauce that came with it was great to accompanied with sticky rice is awesome. All in all was a satisfying meal. Will definitely be back!
If you are tired of the same old Thai food, Isaan Station Thai Street Food is the place for you. I have to say, the Pork Jerky was definitely my favorite. The papaya salad with salted egg is another good choice. The clay hot pot was a new thing for me but wow.. you definitely want to try it. The brought was delicious. Great service with a very friendly staff.
They can actually make the food very spicy! I love that about this place. I've been to many Thai places and asked them to make it spicy, they fail to deliver. This place is not shy about kicking it up a notch. If you like spicy food, you will be sweating by the end of the meal. The papaya salad is probably my favorite. They are a cash only place BTW.
From the heart of Isaan comes Isaan Station. One of our favorite restaurants in all of LA for authentic Isaan food. Isaan is a province in the North East of Thailand close to Laos and Cambodia, it's mostly farmland and is where most of the agriculture in Thailand comes from. Due to it's proximity to Laos there's a mixture of Laos culture and even language mixed in with the local dialect. The food here is my favorite in all of Thailand as it's often use of lime, lemongrass and many herbs and spices make it the most flavorful in my opinion.
La has a huge Thai community so it's a blessing to have many different styles of Thai food to choose from, Isaan Station delivers authentic Isaan food you won't find better outside of Isaan itself.
So yourself a favor and experience authentic Thai food that Thai people love and stop in at Isaan Station, it will change your life!
I tried Poh Taek soup. It was pretty delicious. I was a little sick and got better after drinking this soup. They also have a little Thai desert. I recommend after eat something spicy food ,)
I definitely will come here again!

Gave Isaan Station another try because of some friends, and this time it didn’t disappoint. The food was good, except for the seafood soup, and the service was excellent (unlike last time). This time we were attended by a young lady who made our time there even better.
They always tasty it's like addicted
Cash only, but we paid with Venmo. We ordered the tom kha with tofu, pad with veggies, chicken wings, and papaya salad. All of it was good!
A couple tables had ordered drinks, desserts, and a clay vessel that looked interesting. This will be our go-to Thai restaurant now, so we will try those other dishes.
It’s a very cute and colorful place, with KPop playing, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s busy with groups of friends on the weekends.
The only issue is it’s $4 valet parking, lot shared with LACES and a couple stores, so that might be hard on weekends as well.
ผิดหวังมาก ร้านนี้รับแต่เงินสดเท่านั้น อาหารจานเล็กและราคาแพงกว่าร้านอื่น
Tastes great, but gave only a fraction of the protein serving they should serve for the price.
Delicious pad see ew
Horrible customer service
Very nasty employees
Do not go there at all
Very rude
This place is the real deal. Food was deliciously fresh and authentic flavors! Which also means I would caution you to order 1 spice level below what you would normally order at most places in LA, because these chillies were no joke. I am no stranger to spice but the medium level curry had me crippled and the mild still had some kick to it.
Pricing is excellent for the value and can't wait to come back more and try out everything from the menu.
Nice music as well and unique ambience.
As a laos person I really appreciate finding good Laos/Thai food here in LA. I can't help but be picky too because I compare everything to my mama's cooking lol. But this place really did it. I got the Nam Khao and the Pad seeew and everything was so delicious. FYI they are CASH ONLY but the lady let us know they also take zelle :) but this place definitely takes me home, and my boyfriend also enjoyed it too, his new favorite spot.
TOO BAD ALL CASH. ONLY CASH. THEY NEED TO PUT NUMBERS #### TO IDENTIFY THE DISHES. VERY DIFICULT TO ORDER OVER THE PHONE AND BE UNDERSTOOD AND UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY SAID. 3 TIMES THE ORDER WAS WRONG. Today is June 30th 2024 after 9 months, nothing has changed. WHY DO WE COMMENT? look like we just waste time and NOBODY CARES. I just lowered my stars to ONE
Came here with a group of friends and ordered family style. The food came out very fast and was all super yummy. The server was very helpful with recommendations. I would definitely recommend this to people who like spicy Thai! The menu was large with many authentic options.
My family and I often had food delivered from Isaan Station but yesterday we decided to dine in and were very disappointed. The food beside the pad thai and drinks were good but the other dishes along with the service was HORRENDOUS. The meats did not taste nor look fresh, much smaller portions than per usual and quality was lacking. Taste wise everything was inconsistent with what we had before (lacking flavor, beef was inedible etc). Although the food was beyond a disappointment and a WASTE OF MONEY, the service took it over the edge. The waitress was RUDE and NOT ATTENTIVE at all, but also extremely DISCRIMINATORY towards us just for being Hispanic. She attended the party that arrived after us before and with much more attentiveness, along with the rest of the customers, whether they came before or after. Her demeanor showed when we would ask for something (which was like once as she only came once) and was quite PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE. Not only that, but when we were leaving she blatantly told us to tip (in a GASLIGHTING MANNER as to make our party look bad). Mind you, we had already left the tip in the basket (which would have been more if we hadn’t been discriminated), but even if we hadn’t (due to the above), it’s not obligatory and tips are for good service. Upon leaving, after she demanded her tip/INSULTED us, I made sure to tell her in a polite manner that service hadn’t been good and to please improve next time, but received no apology or reward, NOTHING. Truly unfortunate that this happened as it was a celebratory dinner and we like to support smaller businesses + BIPOC restaurants. What a SHAME!
Trust me, if you are Thai and are craving Thai food, you should come to this restaurant! The ปลาร้า/น้ำพริก are so good. The foods are delightful, mouth-watering, and delicious. Just be careful with the spiciness, the medium spice was a little too spicy for me so the second time I came to the restaurant, I ordered three chilis per dish, and it was *chef-kissed*. The server was nice and the price was reasonable. Recommend this restaurant to everyone, especially Thai!! My favs : น้ำตกหมู เหลาปูม้า ตำปู
Good service, atmosphere and Yummy food! Had the crab fried rice, Tom yum and Isaan sausage! Highly recommend!
The Pork Jerky is amazing! Most authentic Isaan food ive found outside of Thailand
Curry is a dish that originated in South Asia and is known for its complex blend of spices and rich, savory flavor. Soup, on the other hand, is a liquid dish typically made with vegetables, meat, or fish and served hot. The curry here is a soup.
Updating my review because the customer service was terrible here. I always order takeout through their website, as shown in google is preferred by business, and so I ordered my usual pad see ew, payed for it. Everything seems fine.
Later I get a call saying their website is not longer that one (even though it’s everywhere online) and that they can’t cancel my order nor return my money. That I have to dispute the transaction with the bank. I still go in and order my usual order and tell them I will come back if my bank can’t cancel the transaction.
Effectively my bank tells me they need to cancel and return since payment was made through their website , I call again, they still haven’t done anything so basically stole those 20 dollars through their website that doesn’t work “anymore”.
Very upset won’t be ordering more from here.
We have enjoyed the food here for a long time, which is why it was unfortunate to be treated the way I was today.
We ordered through the website (because this is 2024), and when I arrived at the restaurant to pick up the food, the server at the counter told me that she had cancelled the order—apparently the third party who runs the website doesn’t pay them, etc.
I was perplexed: after all, the charge went through, and my app clearly showed Isaan, the merchant, accepted my money. The server hadn’t bothered to call me, nor did she initially offer to make the order anyway. I had to stand there being gaslit as she got upset (not directly at me, to be fair), and started dropping f-bombs about how this issue keeps happening…her manager won’t listen…etc.
The thing is, I paid for my food. I had to remind them if this multiple times (in a patient way, despite her f-bombs).
Finally, they agreed to make the order. I wish I hadn’t had to convince them to give me what I paid for.
Best and most authentic Issan Thai food in LA area. I've lived in Bangkok before so most Issan or even regular Thai places have been a let down, even those in Thai Town.
Very good Cashew nut chicken and chicken Pad Thai. Service was quick facility was clean
Tbh as Thai, this place got the best authentic somtum (papaya salad) in LA. My favorite was the Som Dtum Pla Rha. The richness in flavor was on point and made me feel like home. It was quite spicy tho (even higher than Thai standard), so you gotta be careful. Another must-try is the Tom Saab Soup. It was on the point! Been there several times and will be again
I love Thai food
Best Thai spot for sharing small dishes
Some of the best Thai food I have had in recent memory. Great atmosphere, great service, and great good
Above average.
delicious food welcoming staff. priced so so reasonably with the inflating world. they have things on the menu that isn’t your basic pad thai even though we were basic and got the pad see ew and it was still amazing. would recommend. the plaza was valet parking and the spot is cash only with venmo and zelle.
Love the simple atmosphere, very uniquely Thai. I had the best Tom Kah soup ever. Never had it served with great presentation & packed with plenty of protein. The Thai iced green tea was divine, my only complaint is that it doesn’t come in a large cup. Just as a heads up, this place is cash only.
The food is fantastic and the staff are super accommodating and kind! Love love love this place
Best isaan thai food so far in LA area that I've tried.
A bit spicy. In a good way

Comparing with other Thai restaurants, this restaurant gave us a great experience. A 5 stars rating is for a similar restaurants.
The restaurant is open 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Tuesday to Friday. Open again at 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Started to Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
If you're looking for a special Thai restaurant, make sure to stop by here. You can enjoy exotic atmosphere and authentic Thai food here!
The service of the staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. Especially, the clay tie shabu shabu was very impressive!! I recommend it☺
Food was amazing!!!!!
Please, Check your service mind 🙇🏻♀️
Everything that you order all the food is good. Is a must stop by and eat. Literally everything taste sooooooo good i love in fontana and i’ll will drive back to eat again parking space is small
This place is really good. The Thai food is super authentic. Lots of heat and acids in the dishes. Cash only but you can pay with Zelle or Venmo. Parking can be tough. One of the best Thai restaurants in LA.
Rude employee.
First experience pretty good. Tried beef jerky rice and pork jerky rice for takeout and pork was my favorite one. Well try the seafood fried rice next. A lot of choices of food. So far pretty great.
Prices on google maps are different than the prices on the menu. When I went there prices on one menu was different than prices on the other menu. Be careful they are tricky like that.
Wow came across this spot on a food blogger’s IG (@itshelenmelon) and so glad she mentioned the unique hot pot dish bc it was an off menu item: highly recommend!! Tender pork, light yet satisfying broth, and plentiful veggies.
Big enough for 3-4 people but my hubby and I wolfed it down in addition to:
Crying Tiger Beef: rich, smokey, and succulent
Raw Shrimp Salad: refreshing and perfect layers of citrus flavors and nice textures from the veggies *mild was still spicy but worth the tears 😆
Employees were so kind and patient with our toddler. Parking lot but was full when we left 9:30 pm on a Friday. Cash only but they also take Venmo/Zelle.
Can’t recommend this spot enough! We will definitely be back.
Isaan Station is great! I usually order the Crying Tiger, Pad Thai and Pad See Ew. Their Pad Thai is really, really good. It truly makes them stand out. I’d say this is the best Pad Thai I’ve ever had. Service is really good. Usually they are fast. They have really cute decor and they recently added some really cute things. Best of all they aren’t expensive! However, they are cash only. They have a decent sized parking lot which fills up quick. You can also park in the surrounding neighborhood.
Get the fried pork with sticky rice. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
So very authentic, tastes that are like straight from the streets of Thailand! Their Thai dishes deliver even more so than Thai places in Thai Town. The salt grilled tilapia is a special find, it'll take 20 minutes to prepare though. Cash only place but they take Venmo and Zelle
Its been on my list, so I'm happy to have finally made it here. The spice level is no joke and I loved that. The pappaya salads was tasty and spicy. Usually prefer Lao style but this was good! Loved it with the sticky rice.
The pad see ew was not too sweet which was preferred. Tasteful, delicious, not oily, egg was crispy, and beef was cooked thoroughly. I could go on and would come back to try the other dishes.
Great Thai spot in Koreatown. Cash only. Simple interior. Good for small groups. The food is delicious. Their medium level is legit spicy. I loved it. Friendly service. There's a small lot in front that fills up fast though. Probably easier to find street meter parking on Western.
Very delicious food
There was only pay cash or online pay, and small amount of food, Stir-fried food is chewy or lumpy
Great hidden gem. Great food and customer service. Only negative is the cash only sign. Just bring cash. Thx
When to next door coffee shop they have upstairs room 2 parking is too small but I guess you could street park after traffic hour
This place, as the name says, is for Ishaan (north eastern) food. Highly recommend the pork spicy and sour soup. Taste like home for me!
Best Thailand food ever, delicious and speedy service!
주문한 모든 요리가 맛있고 서비스도 만족스러워서 친구와 다시 가고 싶은 식당입니다
Really good eats & decent prices
Place is amazing! I recommend the pork jerky appetizer and beef jerky fried rice!
My favorite place for authentic Isaan food
Clean, yummy, spacious, reasonable price, something different taste in Ktown
Very bad customer service. Food was just ok. It used to be so much better. 😪
Really tasty place
Super authentic taste thai food..like home cooked meal kinda flavor..super delicious..
** bonus** all the lady that works there are all pretty hot..two thumbs up in my book..lol
Decent Thai food
Been looking for some solid Thai in K-town, this has def got to be my fav so far! Everything we ordered was great. We ordered the greatest hits: pad see ew, pad Thai, yellow curry, Tom yum, crying tiger, papaya salad, and pad Kra prao (which was a new one for me). Everything was solid, nothing below par. Have to say, their spicy is pretty spicy, so beware. Servers were all very nice. Cash only here, but they take Venmo!
Pretty good and standard Thai food. It’s cash only but they have an ATM.
Excellent love the pork liver larb and chicken larb comfort food
I usually make a special drive on the weekends from Altadena just to pick up blue crab or pickled crab papaya salad.🔥🔥🔥
Ahhh. The ever elusive northern Thai food. We couldn’t have been happier choosing Isaac Station as the birthday feast for the evening with an assortment of Som Tum’s to choose from we had the chance to do some side by sides. So happy and so full right now!
Food is always good, quick service
The best northeastern Thai food in Los Angeles
this is the first time to order. I like it. so delicious, cheap and too fast.
Great food and good prices. I come here often with my wife, we love the food and their service is unbeatable. Friendly workers and clean environment.
Traditional Isaan dishes that awaken your senses with unique flavors that explode in your mouth like fireworks. The fun and culturally hip setting even added to the experience. I felt happy with every bite and will definitely be back.
Cash only & rude young thai waitress
I've been sick for days and have barely eaten. I woke up hungry and feeling decent enough to take a quick walk so I ordered pick up. Upon arrival I see a sign that says cash only. No one told me over the phone. They kept asking if I had a bank account to pay the "check out" girl and she would then pay for my food and also pointed me to their atm but I was paying with a credit card. So now it's too late for me to get food anywhere else, they offered nothing to try and correct the situation and I'm going to bed sick and hungry. Their business practices are VERY shady. What restaurant is cash only in Los Angeles in 2020?? I suspect money laundering and hope someone does an investigation. From now on I will stick to Hae Ha Heng.
Very good service and nice esan food
Delicious
First time here and the food was wonderful!
If you're looking for the best authentic Thai taste, this place delivered. The food tastes just like in Thailand! We ordered everything medium spicy and the taste was pretty balanced like not too sour, not too salty, not too spicy and the best of all it was not sweet (since the food in USA tends to be on a sweeter side).
อร่อยมากค่ะ 😍
Great Thai street food.
We ordered a variety of dishes. Everything was delicious, but my favorite was the Crying Tiger grilled beef.
Food was good but nothing new a little oricey for what it is
Very authentic. Super friendly waitresses. You are i Thailand here.
Super creepy place. First of all address is wrong, second customer service is terrible, third pick up wait time up to 30 minutes. When you ask them why it’s taking so long answer is rude, they say if you like wait or you can cancel your order.👎
Excellent Thailand food restaurant
Cheap & good thai food, but they only accept cash
Excellent northeastern Thai dishes, simple but done extremely well. Flavorful and reminiscent of some street cart food all over Thailand. Make sure to get the Gai Yang (grilled chicken). It's a simple menu item but done right and tasty. The sauces that comes with it blends perfectly to the marinated chicken. Overall a good place with casual vibes, although heads up, they are cash only (ATM available on premise).
This is definitely my new fav thai spot. Everything is delicious from their thai seafood to pad se ew to tiger eye steak , yum yum yummmmmmmmm making me hunggies!
อร่อยยยยย
This placing is amazingly good!!! First time here and I loved it. Great service, no wait time and delicious Thai food.
Worst parking ever, why put up a business where no parking is available, their employees park on the spots so street parking for customers or bring your money to other better restaurants in ktown, you are not missing anything if you skip this place.
I wanted to give a shout-out to Isaan Station Thai for giving my group a sensationally spicy, deliciously authentic Thai experience last night. I'm very picky with Thai food, and Isaan hit all the right spicy/sour/fragrant notes. Highlights of the feast (we were with a group of 20) were:
((( Restaurant is Cash Only )))
Isaan sausage, a fried sour and spicy sausage with glutinous rice filling
Blue crab papaya salad: quite spicy, with fermented (raw) blue crab, that I ate with my hands so I could slurp up every creamy morsel
Som Dtum Bhu Pla Rha: fermented fish
Pad Kee Mao: meat, flat noodles, chili, and Thai basil (they didn't cheap out on the Thai basil!!)
Pad Kra Prao Ta-Lay: stir fried seafood with fresh chili and basil (mostly mussels and cockels, it was brightly flavored and sneakily spicy)
Pad Kra Prao: minced meat with veggies and chili peppers
Nahm Dtok Mhu: spicy charcoal grilled pork with onions and mint leaves. Suuuuper good, also so hot my table partners broke out in a sweat
Crying tiger: super spicy grilled beef tenderloin (probably one of the best things there)
Grilled chicken: everyone loved this one, I thought it was fine, but not something I would seek out
Palm Juice: slightly sweet, slightly creamy (non-dairy) this is a great beverage to refresh and cut the spice.
*A note on the spice levels:*
This is a group of folks that do the super-hot at Howling Rays, so they don't mess around with the spicy. If you are concerned about the spicyness, probably order medium level spicy.
good thai taste but a bit to prove for care of client
Fiery🔥
Salty
Very bad service
Very authentic and well done. Cash only.
Best street Thai. EVER. ugh.
First time ordered dinner with promo get 3 orders and get 1 free egg role from this place. Usually most of the Thai places in LA make medium spicy but this time I’ve experienced extreme spicy food which is destroyed my whole family’s appetite. We couldn’t eat at all. Called them and explained everything. Nothing they were willing to do and also there’s no such promos! Not friendly people and taste is awful!
I was waiting for food for 1 hour........
Cash only. BS.
Delicious
nic place
Good food, really spicy
Authentic northeastern Thai food. As close as you can get Thai food outside Thailand.
