Traditional Thai food with recipes from Bangkok. We use top quality ingredients and can accommodate most diets even those avoiding seed oils.
It's been our go-to Thai restaurant for a long time. All the items on the menu are delicious and the portion sizes are generous. The people working there are all kind and friendly. We love the noodle dishes and papaya salad is truly the best. Recommend to try out the mango sticky rice, it is the best in LA so far.
Delicious, Flavorful Thai food at reasonable prices. Service with a smile! Pa Pang took our order. We arrived for lunch and I ordered the Spicy Mint Noodle with chicken from the LUNCH menu. This is a smaller main course portion but comes with rice, one crispy curry wonton and small salad. I chose Level 2 for the spicy level ( 1-5, 5 being the spiciest) . I truly loved this dish!!!
My friend ordered the Pad Thai, from the regular menu and she loved it. She said this Pad Thai was one of the best.
This restaurant is small, but has adequate seating inside, as well as a protected patio out front. It looks like a lot of folks come here for Take Out. The ambience is cozy, considering the space is very small. We were fortunate and got a table by the window.
Free parking on the lot. Enter from with Washington Blvd or Redwood.
Overall, food was solid. Although it's a little on the sweet side, it was still really authentic. The portion sizes were great for the price paid. The ambiance is simple yet pleasing. It's an old Taco Bell that was converted, so seating is limited. Service was extremely fast, but maybe because we came at a later time than normal.
Parking is also limited but there's street parking. Just a heads up, if you order anything "spicy" get ready to burn some calories.... it's HOT🔥.
Came here for dinner on a Monday evening around 6:30 and there were a couple of tables available, but most people seemed to grab takeout. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Credit cards accepted. There’s parking available or you can opt for metered parking as well. Split the crying tiger as well as pad Thai with chicken. Portions are on the smaller side but still satisfactory. The restaurant is small and very casual, so it’s good for a quick weeknight meal.
I recently dined at a Thai restaurant in Culver City hoping for a flavorful meal, but unfortunately, the food fell short of expectations. The dishes, including the Pad Thai and Green Curry, lacked the vibrant flavors typically associated with Thai cuisine. Both dishes were remarkably bland, and the ingredients didn't seem very fresh. The service was okay, with staff being reasonably friendly, but it did not make up for the underwhelming food. The ambiance of the restaurant was average, nothing that stood out or added to the dining experience. Overall, this was a forgettable meal, and I'm hesitant to return or recommend this place when there are better options available in the area.
Exceptional service and excellent food, had Spicy Eggplant, brown rice with drunken noodles!
AWESOME!!! The food was delicious and hot n fresh.
Overall the restaurant was another restaurant in its previous life and a bit small but contrary to that there is a nice patio in front.
Please give this place a try you won’t regret it! 🥰
I waited to give this review, I have been visiting this Thai restaurant for over three months now spending over $300. I have been trying their menu, going down the list of items I wanted to try. I’ve dined in, ordered takeout and delivery’s.
Before I talk about the food, what led me to this review is how I felt the last time visiting. I felt very unwelcome and extremely uncomfortable! After establishing myself as a consistent “returning customer” I felt an undertone of classism. I’m not the type to go around looking for negativity, so it was a series I’ve minor events that added up.
Just because you say “Hi” to everyone who enters your restaurant, doesn’t mean you are welcoming! Especially if you don’t mean it. The whole point is to make your customers feel welcomed. That goes beyond just a “Hi” & “bye” with nonchalant tones.
I won’t elaborate on the minor subtleties but just know that I left feeling very unwelcome!
I’ve noticed the quality of food has dropped off. When I first ordered the Pad Ekkamai with my girlfriend at the time, it was one of the best Thai dishes I’ve had. And I’ve been all over the country from New York to California trying Thai dishes, including Thailand 🇹🇭.
I’ve noticed that the quality has severely dropped in a short amount of time. I asked the last time I sat and ordered if they had changed chefs because the flat noodle flavors have been extremely bland and flavorless the last 5xs I’ve ordered it. The feedback I got from my server was very short, didn’t understand me and made me feel uncomfortable for asking so I didn’t elaborate on what it was I was trying to convey.
I wasn’t done trying all of the items on the menu but after discussing with a friend how I felt & the drop in quality of food, I have decided I won’t be returning.
There are several other Thai restaurants in the metro LA area with a better quality of food bigger portions for the price and more importantly, don’t make me question if I’m welcomed or not (Ocha Classic in K-Town, Suki Time in Lomita to name a few).
Nine of us were accommodated well and quickly. The food arrived promptly and was very delicious. We shared appetizers, entrees and desserts. The wait staff was efficient, courteous and non-intrusive. As we arrived we started getting hungrier because of the amazing aroma wafting into their parking lot. We were all very happily satisfied with their generous portions. Highly recommended by all nine of us.

I've lived in Thailand for a year and this orange chicken didn't taste like chicken and was lackluster. I wanted to like it as it's right next door to my school. After trying the dish, it's a hard no. Maybe they have other good stuff but I won't be back to try it.
Nice little spot ...
We had a good experience here and will be back. Note that for a $1 upcharge they will cook your dish in avocado oil rather than vegetable oil, AKA soybean oil. It's hard to find Thai restaurants that don't cook with soybean oil. Since I have a reaction even to soybean oil, I truly appreciate their avocado oil option!
I’ve only ever ordered takeout but the food is INCREDIBLE! The employees are very friendly as well…. Highly recommend!
Exceptional service and excellent food, had Spicy Eggplant, brown rice with drunken noodles!

One of the best Thai restaurants I have had! Highly recommend when looking for Thai food in Marina Del Rey
This is a small place but, great. The food is authentic and the staff are all Thai. The customer service is excellent , and they actually have a very good adult beverage selection.

they rushed us out. came in today, apple maps says they close at 10pm. as soon as we walked in at 8:35 they told us we had 5 minutes to order , and really sat there and watched as we looked through the menu. very rushed, they forgot to put in the order for one of our plates, and by the time i realized and asked them , it was already too late for them to submit it since the kitchen had closed. literally rude, rushing us, had all eyes on us. they were sweeping and mopping right under our feet. brought the check and togo boxes to us before we even started eating our food. we’ve been coming here for years, his is the first time we came for dinner, so we didn’t know that apple maps had the incorrect time for closing , but they did not accommodate at all. made us feel very uncomfortable, rushed us and watched us eat the entire time. like i said we’ve been coming here for the last 5 years, they lost two customers tonight.
Everything is delicious, crispy pork is the bomb
Satisfied my recent craving for okay chinese food. Food was served at a great temperature.
My go to Thai spot. Always get the pad see ew and veggie fresh rolls, and if you order online, a free boba Thai tea
If your staff is going to be rude, I'm not coming back.

Best taco bell ever ;) iykyk
Great Thai food vor a good price.
Fantastic food. Quick and friendly service. Fresh and delicious food.
The food quality is comparable to that of a fast food cafeteria, but the prices reflect those of a professional Thai restaurants. I find it overpriced considering the unprofessional presentation, especially with food being served on cheap plastic plates. The real professional Thai food is much better.
Good food moderate prices.
Lady at register Very Rude and UnWelcoming
I guess if Your New and of Color to this establishment your not important
I walked in and spoke she looked up at me and started talking to the other Ladies in the back with no response I was thinking she Lacked English all to find out she's pretty Fluent when ordering and taking payments
Will Not be returning

Great food at a great price. I live in the neighborhood and this place has become a staple for my husband and I. We always enjoy our meal. Yum
I love this place. Everything is excellent 👌
There's no comparison - Thai food in LA, no competition. Every single time, we order - we are amazed. The food is the best. The spice level to order is on point. We celebrate our holiday dinners here --the spot for authentic and fresh food.
Delicious! I wish rice was included in dish prices though.
The food was great and it really hit the spot. Taste like real authentic Thai food. However service could have been a little better. We understand that we came close to closing and that the owners mustve been tired and wanted to go home. But we're still customers at the end of the day that are paying good money for the food and the atmosphere and the service. It turned out fine at the end of the day but for a little while we weren't sure how it was going to turn out because the reception that we got when we showed up. I do recommend this place because it does taste amazing!
Been coming here for over 8 years. Still rock solid! And lunch special and prices are still fantastic. You don't need to take out a loan to eat out like you do in the rest of the Los Angeles 😊
Great food, amazing service, but small restaurant with very little atmosphere
Best Pad Thai I’ve ever had. Must have!!!
I ordered the garlic calamari. The calamari was very chewy. Couldn't bite into it. . It was awful. I sent it back and got their fettuccine or pad Thai. One of those but regardless,. The noodles were like I was chewing on plastic. They were almost transparent. My friend had kung pao chicken. It was like a soup.
Fastest takeout EVER! Absolutely delicious food and so many good options with very reasonable prices
Cheaper and tastier than the area competition. Take out so can’t speak to the atmosphere.
Ekkamai is a local gem hiding in plain sight! They have catered for us many times ... super pro

amazing food
Muy buena atención!! Todo muy rico!!
Always delicious and not that expensive

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
If you don't already know about Ekkamai, you probably don't live on the Westside 😂 I moved away from LA about a year ago, but every time I visit I make sure to stop in because it really is that good.
Omggg the papaya salad 🤤
Great pad Thai and tom yum
Service is bad! Some staffs are not friendly.
Omelette over rice with chili sauce, very good, like egg foo yung but you get chili sauce instead of the brown sauce.
Love this Thai place so much! We always get the Tom Yum and we tried the Pad Ekkamai— absolutely delicious. My favorite appetizer is the cheese puffs too.
Delicious Thai food! Excellent service - pleasant and very efficient staff. Patio dining is nice if you don’t mind sitting next to sidewalk and fairly busy street. Convenient parking.
Been a regular here for years. Great food at competitive prices and ran by a great group of people. Very thankful to have it walking distance from me.
We wanted to like this place but felt that the authenticity was just not there. While the noodle ingredients were great for the ekkamai pad thai, the taste just didn't quite seem like pad thai but of drunken noodle noodles with curry powder. The lunch special came with curry puffs that were already cold. We'd suggest just getting the main menu items and skipping the lunch menu.
The service was fast and kind. The atmosphere was cozy.
Working my way thru the menu. Best Thai around. Thai Tea is fire too.
Food was delicious and the atmosphere looked pretty good for a saturday at 2pm. They accept EBT but they're completely clueless about if they accept snap or cash. I was also overcharged but I think it was a genuine mistake. She just doesn't know about how it works. I'll add that I'd prefer the staff to be friendlier at the front counter and more knowledgeable, but I will definitely come back. Hopefully they will have these corks figured out by the next time.
best and quickest Thai food that I have found in LA. always super flavorful and always hits the spot! plus if you order take out and spend $30 dollars you get free egg rolls, which are super tasty!! everything feels so made with love as well. you can taste the quality and effort in every bite. I'm sure there's better or whatever out there but for the price, so good always!
My go to staple for Thai food. Always delicious
Best Thai food on the Westside. We’ve been eating here for years, mostly takeout, but have dined in more recently and they always have very authentic, fresh, and delicious Thai dishes for an affordable price. Would highly recommend!
We usually eat at the restaurant, but today we ordered on the phone and had our food delivered right to our door. Excellent service and the best Thai Food in WLA.
We highly recommend Ekkamai Thai Restaurant. We go there weekly and sometimes twice a week.
I liked the foods and services. It’s a simple place. I will definitely come back.
Love their food. They could use an interior update, though. A little lighting, music, and decorations would go a long way.
It is a good thai restaurant. They are quite popular with locals because of their good taste and reasonable prices.
We ordered three food. All of them are good. However, green curry is too sweet for my taste. I would ask it to be more spicy next time!
Overall, it is a good restaurant!
Food and service is excellent here. I'm so glad they're back offering dine in service.
Food is delicious but they are very stingy with the portions. The rice and noodle orders for takeout is only filled halfway. Never a full portion. I never walk away with my takeout without feeling ripped off.
The food is bad, it doesn’t have any taste also the cashier are very disrespectful, not recommended, BAD EXPERIENCE
The food is amazing!!
I’ve been to my fare share of Thai restaurants, and this is by far the best Thai restaurant I have ever been too. The Phanaeng curry was absolutely amazing. Would and will come again when I’m back in Santa Monica.
Good Thai foods
I've been to a lot of Thai restaurants, and this one is definitely among the best. The food is consistently delicious, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. This Thai restaurant has a great selection of vegetarian options, which is a huge plus for me. The flavors are amazing, and the service is always prompt and friendly.
Great food. The mixed vegetables and pad Thai and pad see ew are the best. Really good Thai tea. Reasonably prices. Easy parking. Great place.
Best thai restaurant in LA. Delicious and great atmosphere without being pretentious.
I like to take out from here, it's close to my apartment block, easy drive, just across Lincoln beyond the Costco. They do standards well, the pad Thai is a bit gooey for my taste, but it's okay. I think the peanut sauce with the satay is too bland, but given I always cut up the meat and mix it with whatever else I'm having, doesn't matter I suppose.
The appetizers are where they shine, the satay is fine, but the bacon wrapped shrimp are killer. I eat a couple and then . . . cut them up and mix it with the noodles. Ah well. The chicken rolls are particularly good, real dense and meaty. You know what I do with them too. I like that you can delete the peas from the curry, peas don't belong in Thai.
Nothing fancy, just American Thai for the masses, and that's exactly what I want for a takeout treat on a TV night. Considering it's in a pretty high-rent district, the cost is reasonable. Parking might be an issue on a busy evening, but I've never had a problem.
I haven't sat inside to eat, just takeout, but I've been very happy with it, and the food is ready just about exactly when they say. Pad Thai can be dry or moist, this is on the moist side. The flavors were fine, and they tossed in seven shrimp, one more than standard, if there is such a thing. I think the green onions should be cut up more, nothing that can't be handled with kitchen scissors. The chicken/glass noodle rolls are one of my favorites, packed solid, nice, and the curries are as they should be.
Particular notice to the spare ribs, very nicely cooked, super tender, full-size meaty ribs. But, not much flavor. Next time I'll apply a glaze, like Lum's Char Sui, and put them under the broiler, that should work. Honey mixed with teriyaki would be fine, or barbecue sauce if you want. But the basic pork is great as a base, sometimes Asian ribs tend to be small and chewy.
Do you really need to talk about prices in a Marina del Rey takeout place? Probably not, it's going to make a dent, but that's the territory, a local wouldn't complain. Or apparently anywhere in L.A., prices seem to be uniform in the "$" rated takeout world, so in that sense, they're a bargain, considering the locale. I have a pantry full of Thai rice noodles, so this isn't something I do every day. But when I want to, this is my place, my car knows how to get there on its own by now. Of course it's a very smart car.
Great food, service and dining experience!
We ordered Pad Thai-Fried Tofu, Green Curry-Chicken, Cucumber Salad and Veggie Egg Rolls.
Everything was delicious. Spice level was good. I ordered Medium and Spicy. Great options for adding chilis, hot sauce, chili powder and peanut sauce to a to-go order. My only complaint would be that the egg rolls were a bit soggy/stale. I did the eggrols for free as an online order promotion. So I won't hold it against them cause everything else was fantastic.
Horrible! The customer service is so poor. All the owners care about is taking your money. They cater to white or people who have no idea about authentic Thai food. I have been to Thailand. This food is garbage and a disgusting representation of Thai food. My order came to $25.91. I presented them with a valid coupon which read "$5.00 off any purchase of 25.00 or more" and the young, rude Asian girl at the cash register wouldn't honor it.
The coupon did not specify in print the tax aspect. And they were really rude about it when I brought it up. I complained about false advertisement and I was told that the owner would call me which was a flat out lie because no one from Ekkamai Thai restaurant ever reached out to me. And they have my direct contact information.
All they cared about was taking my money. I believe that this restaurant is not going to be in business much longer because they are acting desperate for Money without consideration for quality and customer satisfaction.
Food was good and tasty. Almost like in Thailand. Service was friendly and good!
They are open for inside seating again! I live in the neighborhood and have been going here for over 6 years. They are always very nice. I brought my family this time. A picky eater and two 6 year olds and everyone had something they loved.
Was recommended by a friend of a friend and I have to say, it's pretty good! It seems a bit pricy compared to its peers and some of the dishes were a hit or a miss but DANG is the Pad See Ew good. And to be honest that's all that matters because that is my go to dish at any Thai restaurant. Definitely worth the try. Will be back for that Pad See Ew!
No information about lack of dine in option. We walked 45 min just to learn it.
So first time eating here for take out was referred by a friend spent almost close to 70 dollars. I was about to get ringed up to pay for my take out food the Japanese lady on the register stopped before I made my transaction and had the audacity to say “no tip” Excuse me? no tip?? for taking my order I understand if I was dining in . This is a really disgusting money hungry employees I don’t understand what establishment they have here to force ppl to tip for taking a order never coming here again I felt like I was targeted because there’s was ppl in front of me and she didn’t say no tip, she only told me that!!
Sooo good, the spicy eggplant, green curry with soft tofu, duck curry, pad kee mao are all winners ❤️ get black rice it’s delicious
Way better than other options in this area. Great Panang and Prig king. Comes with white rice. Good portions.
The food was delicious, except for the papaya salad which was ok but made with some blunt, non-aromatic fruits and vegetables. We'll definitely order more.
the curry and rice was so good, i'm coming back here for lunch
The yellow curry was very good. The wontons were disappointing. Google says they have dine-in but it's takeout only.
Excellent Thai food. Always ready for pickup either on time or earlier!
We really liked the food. Visiting from Utah so we weren't aware about the pick up only. We would have liked to done in. that was the only draw back for us. The food and service were great.
Great food and great staff!
Fast service, amazing food. Great price, generous portions. Would definitely go back!!
Delicious, authentic flavors. Surprised how tasty the carry out was. Hope to eat in person in the future.
Restaurant has changed to take out only. Not an inviting environment.
Delicious Thai food! Unbelievable! Thanks for being in the neighborhood.
Food here is ok, not amazing. The food lacks vibrancy. Flavors are a bit muted. Case in point: the papaya salad needs much more lime and flavor. The Tom Yum soup was quite good. Other dishes didn’t pop.
Food orders are take out only!! Food is good as well as service. Pri especially are reasonable. Would go back.
The only Thai restaurant I crave at all time... Everything is delicious!!!! Been coming here for like 10 years. I usually get the red curry with chicken. But when I want a change I get the noodles. The dumplings are so tasty! And love the beef salad for some greens. Fyi the waiters are not very friendly but the food is worth it!!!
The food isn’t bad but definitely not the best Thai food I’ve had.
Great food, tasty and seasoned perfectly.
Best Thai food outside of Thailand (and maybe NYC)
Takeout is extremely efficient. Be sure to order on their website to get the free egg rolla w order.
Also, $2 Singha beer can't be beat.
Pre-pandemic in person dining was fantastic also. Very quaint locals-only vibe.
5/5
I’m passionate about Thai food and have been to over 40 different Thai restaurants across most major US cities (SF, LA, NY, Dallas to name a few), not including many local spots in Bangkok and Phuket. Ekkamai is hands down the best Thai takeout I've had to date. The atmosphere of the restaurant is lacking, but the food more than makes up for it. The Gai Kua Noodles with Chicken is awesome; haven’t found anything that comes close anywhere else. The pad kee mow is my go to dish and has the perfect chew and balance of sweet/Spicey/umami. The Green Curry is great, much better than competing green curries, but a little sweet. Given the sweetness of the Green Curry, I generally opt for the pumpkin curry which is also a winner. All in all, this is my go to Thai spot and the gold standard that I used to compare other establishments. Delivery radius to Playa Vista is decent too!
great food!! I used to always go to the boba place next to here after school and I was curious to try their food. im so happy i did. i HIGHLY recommend the beef pineapple curry. amazing portions, amazing food, amazing employees. 11/10 i am DEFINITELY coming back soon !!
Wonderful food!
although they serve excellent food, do not order delivery, as it comes cold and soggy and worthless...$30 down the drain
Went back: Yellow curry was great. Boba was old and in a giant clump. Crispy pork: some pieces were so dry like they'd been fried 3-5 times. Others were soggy with dry meat. They also forgot our rice. Today they were much slower than my last visit. I'm not sure what happened.
Delicious food. Still hot once we got home despite the drive. Pumpkin (kabocha squash) in pumpkin curry was a little over cooked. Some of the best boba I've ever had. Will be back for the spicy crispy pork as well.
Great staff, consistent quality, easy online ordering, parking available, delicious food. Easily my favorite Thai restaurant on the west side. Their Pad Ekkamai is wonderful if you’re stuck between ordering a noodle and or curry.
Good serving sizes.!!
Great hardworking people.
Happy to eat and enjoy the food
!!👍
This is not Thai food. I had the dumplings (gyoza) and Bam-Boom. Both were filled with massive sugar. Why would anyone put sugar in Gyoza/dumplings!? The bam-boom has a comically low amount of chicken. This was one of the very few times I had to just throw out entire meal. Also, this restaurant does not receive any special requests/instructions when ordering via Doordash so don't expect modifications. With that said, I called and spoke to this restaurant prior to making my order to ensure everything would be made correctly and the staff are super friendly (even though none of the instructions I discussed with them were followed).
Ekkamai is on regular rotation at our house. Everything we've tried has been good and they also have a great beer menu that is available for takeout during the pandemic.
Good Thai food, their logo drives me crazy because the two Ks look identical but its supposed to look handwritten.
I do DoorDash and I receive numerous orders for this place so I decided to try it out and see why so many people order from here. After buying and trying their food, it all made sense why this spot is always receiving orders. Their food is amazing and packed with taste. The workers are so kind and friendly. It’s definitely a place to try out if you haven’t already.
We usually order from here, but not had been to this place since pandemic. I was really craving the food. Unfortunately i was unsatisfied. Egg rolls wrappings were different, and dry in the inside. I order sticky rice, all I got was rice, not sweeten, no mango. Also my salad we not flavorful. I doubt I will be back.
The food is delightful, favorites are the green curry and pad thai, but every thing has been amazing.
I order from here all the time. The food and portions used to be great. Unfortunately, the portions of some dishes have become way to small. I WOULD NOT recommend ordering the orange chicken here now. I feel like you can get a bigger serving at Panda Express, which has famously small servings.
This is delicious food. Whenever I'm in the area I have to stop and get some the legit food coming out of this place
Delicious food!!!!
Hit or miss. Some entrees are good, some not great.
Tasty. Good portions. Friendly. Fast.
Love the food and the staff. The mint basil noodle with shrimp and the brown rice as well as the Tom.kha soup are favorites
This place is so good! Consistent and reasonably priced! I wish I still lived closer to be able to go there more often!!
Great flavors......quickly made..... Quality products......
The tom kha with chicken soup was delicious! The pad see ew was ok.
Thought it was going to be a very good spot but it wasn't, several dishes were not prepared properly especially when spending $75.00... you can not trust eating out if it's busy so I will not ruin my mother's day again
Excellent Thai foods at reasonable prices.. I craved for Thai foods after working in Thailand in the late 90’s and tried other restaurants in the area. This place is the one I found that suited the taste I remember in Bangkok and the staffs are very friendly..
Always great service food and if I had to give them 10 stars I will... 🌟 🌟
Delicious and a good value!
Ordered Pad se yew + Krapow chicken with steamed rice. It was ok, but I wouldn't say delicious. I'm going to give it another try, order something else and see if it's any better. I will say that the ingredients did taste very fresh though even if the food was a bit tasteless. I have to admit I was slightly disappointed when I read all the glowing reviews on here however I did live in Thailand for a couple of years so I probably expect a little more authenticity with flavour than the locals.
Prompt, courteous pickup service, very good food
I have loved ekkamai for years. delicious food at reasonable prices.
