Best authentic Thai food in LA
Very good authentic Thai restaurant close to Griffin Observatory.
We called the restaurant ahead for a large party and they are gracious enough to host us on a busy Sunday afternoon.
The did a fantastic job of serving us. The service is very good and she served with a smile throughout without missing the beat.
The food is very good, tasty, and everything is cooked to our order. We really had a great time and enjoyed the food very much.
We went there after trip to Griffith Observatory in the night. I was craving for hot Thai boat noodles but the waitress suggest the Yen ta fo instead, so I gave it a try and requested it spicy
I wasnβt disappointed
It was much much better than the other place I tried before
The waitress was really nice and friendly
If I have a chance will definitely be back there
I wanna try many dishes
The owner also very nice and friendly
Feel like I am back to Thailand π©΅π©΅π©΅
We were in LA helping our youngest son move into his new apartment. It was getting late and we needed a place to eat. We walked a short 10 minutes through Thai Town and were greeted with the aromatic aromas of savory foods.
With so many choices and the mouth watering aromas we stayed with the choice the hubby had picked. I was a bit skeptical because it was pretty empty with only 4 customers when we arrived. Boy was I wrong, perhaps we arrived earlier than most for dinner. As we ordered and devoured our selections, the placed filled with customers picking up orders to go and dining in.
The dishes we ordered were savory, seasoned well, and prepared to perfection. A few dishes not listed that we devoured were the Pad see ew & spicy catfish. Our waitress was polite, attentive, friendly, courteous and professional.
The ambiance was warm and filled with colorful black and white photos throughout the restaurant. The restroom has a unique gallery wall with old hollywood legends and art from Thailand. The hallway has a gallery wall filled with colorful photos and memories from days long ago. Not sure if the photos are of family and friends but they add a certain flare and ambience.
They are expanding the location to give you a morning experience as well. They will serve coffee and delicious breakfast delicacies.
The beautiful murals in the breakfast coffee area were still being painted. They were alluring and captivating with a true sense of Thailand. They provide serenity and warmth in the space.
Kudos to the owner for a well crafted experience;
I canβt wait to return and dine with them again.
If you find yourself in Thai Town and happen to stop by, tell them Janice sent you. Bone-petite π
Underwhelming for me, maybe I had a one-off experience. The pad Thai was very bland and the noodles were all stuck together/gummy. My friend got the gravy/tofu dish, which was better at least. Small restaurant with little seating. Service and staff were okay. Portions were good. For the price I had hoped for more.
The waitress was really nice and friendly , she smiled all times,π
πI like Boran noodle Soup very very much π
Our server Fay was amazing! The service was fast, and the food was great. Would recommend the Veggie Fried Rice, Thai Iced Tea and Coffee, and Red Curry. It is vegetarian friendly.

Insane value to flavor ratio. Food and service was amazing.
This place is so good. Highly recommended
Disappointing quality of every dish we ordered. The sticky rice was dry. The noodles didnβt feel fully cooked and the pork belly was tough. So many better options nearby in Thai town.

Super nice food, amazing service! Great place to get late night food.
Awesome food and service!
Great service and amazing food! Get the shumai and panang curry!! You wonβt be disappointed.
This is authentic Thai food. You can taste the freshness of the herbs and vegetables.
For what I paid the portions were very small. Service was not impressive although there were just two tables. It did not feel welcoming. Probably wonβt be back.
Ta restauracja ma najlepsze tajskie jedzenie w Los Angeles
Excellent endroit, accueillant et plat très bon
Stop reading reviews and come and eat here. You wonβt regret it
Nourriture excellente et vraiment pas chère ! Propriétaire très gentille ! Je recommande sans hésitation

First of all they do vegetarian and vegan curries. The curries were delicious. Especially the red curry. Lovely lady who treated us really well. Thank you!!
Everything is excellent great food and service
Delicious meal! Friendly staff! Good prices especially compared to other nearby options.
Good food, Best service βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ
I checked my card details, I saw that a larger amount had been charged.
Don't change the amount arbitrarily!π‘π€
I ordered takeout tonight. The staff was super nice and helpful. Cute interior design. I am very picky. I thought the fried tofu pud kee mao was great. Extra fresh Thai basil and garlic cooked to perfection! I'll be back!
This place slaps. All the food I've gotten from here has been delicious, good spice and fresh ingredients, for very reasonable prices. Staff is very friendly. Space is casual, has an interesting and kinda strange assortment of art on the walls, which I personally enjoy.
Chicken dumplings π amazing π
One of the best Asian-fusion restaurants Iβve had in Los Angeles -Their Crispy Pork with Chinese Broccoli and the Orange Chicken are some of the best Iβve ever had.
Essen lecker, aber nichts besonderes.
Born thai have best food pls check out you all I just randomly walked inside from long way from Texas to visit my Freinds family here I have never tried such a best food the soup omg feel it my souls so Goodπ
Iβm very happy for this place my daughter and I enjoyed eating.
Wonderful experience at Boran Thai! The service and food were great. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, checked up on us frequently, and gave us some great recommendations. As for the food, we ordered the Pho Combo. Delicious dish with high quality meats and veggies. Some of the best Pho Iβve had in LA. We also ordered the fried tofu and it was fantastic! Delicious appetizer. Recommend this place highly and will definitely be coming back!
The best Thai food that I ever had! Wish I lived closer. Should of taken pictures of my meal.
I am vegetarian & they have a lot of vegetarian-friendly options.
I do not eat fish or seafood of any sort & they made the food without any fish/oyster sauce.
The restaurant is a hole in the wall & is a great find with fast service!
Muy buen lugar
Service was phenomenal, very attentive and gave us helpful recommendations. We especially loved the fried catfish and the crispy pork belly with Chinese broccoli! We also enjoyed the Tom Yum soup and Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodles). The medium spicy is not too spicy.
Loved the food. Veg options are good also

Amazing food, loved the red curry! The waiters were also really friendly.
Keep on forgetting that portions in the US are humongous. Decent Thai food
Food is excellent. The interior is a bit rundown, especially the bathroom.
UNABLE TO REQuEST FOOD RESTRICTUINS!! IMPOSSIBLE FOR DELIVERY . VERY SMALL PORTIONS CAN'T COMPLAINT. AT HOME... WON'T ORDER OUT AGAIN!!INE!!!S! TAKE OUT DELIVERY VERY DIFFERENT FROM INDOOR DINING SO SO FOOD. TOO much$$$$ for small small PORTIONS!!!
BANGIN good food. Got the chicken larb (loved it-always add a side of brown rice and theirs is really good, whole grain and nutty) and the drunken noodles. Both were perfect. I took it as carry out but the atmosphere inside was really comfortable. New Thai joint for me..
Good food. No atmosphere.
Iβve been a customer for years and never had a problem or complaint to make. Unfortunately for today my boyfriend and I were neglected, waited at our table for 15 minutes without the waitress asking us if she can get us drinks. We decided to grab our things and leave, but before we left I took the menus to the register just to find the waitress chatting it up with what seemed to be the cook.
My friend and I came here and was surprised by the kindness of the employees and the vibrancy of the restaurant. Great value for the buck and the Thai Iced Tea was amazing.
INCREDIBLE service by Fai. She was absolutely wonderful and accommodating. The food was super tasty too. Also, the best Thai tea Iβve ever had. I recommend 100%.
Amazing food and prices. They are all super nice and attentive. It's a very cozy feeling restaurant, and I highly suggest going on a rainy day :) Me and my fiance got dumplings, crab cheese, pho, ramen, and drinks. EVERYTHING was delicious and came quickly
Ok
Amazing! The food was delicious and the staff was very attentive and friendly π«ΆπΌβ¨!
Great food, great service. I came in a group of four and two meals filled us up. We wanted to leave when we first got here because right when we entered some one was arguing with the owner about the food. The same person later came and told us about how the food was so bad, but when we got our meals we loved it. Highly recommended.
Great taste and large portion given the reasonable price. I really love the Thai ice tea and they do provide enough meat in a dish, can be a bit oily for some summer days but generally good!
Great food and quality of life in this restaurant.
I didnβt have any impression of the foodπ it was no bad
Osam
food is delicious and authentic tast . i loved it
Great views, excellent service, cute atmosphere, very below-average food, especially for the area. I was very disappointed, the noodles were rubbery and stuck together they were not springy and loose. The soup broth had almost no flavor and it was a very small portion, it is almost better to eat anywhere else in this wonderful area with a great selection of Thai restaurants.
Superb
Very Nice place
I like the food
nyc
Best food in town, I recommend this place to everyone.
Good food
This cozy authentic is definitely a gem. The atmosphere is definitely what youβd find in Thailand. The staff made up of Thai people brings it all home, and the food is wonderful for those who are lite weights to spice kings and queens and in between π³οΈβπ.

Very good customer service. Will definitely visit again.
Stopped in recently while in the neighborhood and have been stuck thinking about how amazing this meal was. The food was out of this world, it's affordable, and the owners are incredibly kind. I cannot wait to go back as soon as possible and will be recommending it to all of my friends.
Awesome food and service
Very delicious food. Ka prao minced chicken was super awesome. Tried their spicy catfish, chicken fried rice, tofu red curry and spicy crispy fried chicken all at spicy level mild. But mild is not that spicy next time will try higher spice level.
So I ordered twice from this place because it was open later on Grubhub.. their pad Thai taste like a white womens interpretation of Pad Thai - no flavors and noodles over done- unforgivably so. Their soups are just okay. They send you with mostly broth and little protein. Thereβs a lot of LEGIT Thai restaurants in this area - go order from them and skip this scam!
This food is incredible! I had the best papaya salad in recent memory, amazing curry, and super friendly service. Highly recommend this little spot!
Good thai food , great prices enjoy
nice care and lovely spicy food ask for medium spicy you will got it
The best Thai food ever πππ definitely try them.
Best Thai Iβve had in LA. Good portion size, good price, good taste π
Quick service, kung pao chicken was delicious.
Everything was sooo good! Price, flavor, portions all excellent. Definitely will be my go to Thai place.
Good service, food was properly spiced
I had the Boran Noodle, which the menu says is one of their most popular dishes. It was good but not the most healthy as the soup base was sweet and must have a lot of sugar in it. They apparently have a lunch special between 11am and 4pm. I'm not sure I'd return as the restaurant is a bit disheveled and doesn't inspire a lot of confidence in the cleanliness of their kitchen.
Always a pleasure being in this wonderful place β€
Great food and service was excellent from a lovely friendly waitress/owner. Would definitely recommend
Great place. Super chill vibe. Food is delicious. The Tom Kha is really really good!
Delicious and has wifi!
The food was exquisite and service very swift.
Authentic & flavorful spot
Very tasty food! Nice little place
Amazing
Best green veggie curry!!!!
Boran Thai is a great tasting Thai restaurants in Thai Town, and they are affordable, friendly, and consistent. They don't shy away from cooking spicy upon request, and they are fast too. Unfortunately, they no longer serve duck due to rising cost and I hope they will add duck in the future again. However, great place to order for takeout during the week, and very enjoyable on weekends when eating at the restaurant. Their sticky mango rice is also the best, don't forget to try that. The owner is super friendly and his staff and waiters area friendly and great. I highly recommend this place for any Thai lover.
Good not worth price. One time thing only !
Best Thai food in town, or must say best Thai food I've ever tried!!! The restaurant looks clean and server was very nice, (personally, this is hard to experience with servers in other Thai restaurants) definitely I recommend this 100%
Decent Thai food β we called our order in for pickup. We got the Crab cheese (wontons) which were quite under-filled and slightly overdone; the spicy crispy chicken was ok, probably would be better eaten in than taken to go/pick up; but my boyfriend and I both loved the panang curry (with chicken)! The butterfly pea tea was very sweet but also very refreshing. We were hoping to try their mango sticky rice but they were all out.
Overall, decent Thai food for the price.
We got the chicken pad Thai and Tom Yum BBQ chicken soup and both were delicious!
Food was delicious, taste very authentic. However, I personally don't like the music they were playing, it sounded like I was in a horror movie, with some screams in the background. Another thing, we had 4 people and they added gratuity to the bill without saying anything, which was really weird since the waitress was very friendly to us.
Went there after my graduation and they gave me a free Thai Tea! The food was really good and the service was so nice, would definitely recommend.
I think this is the best thai restaurant in thai town!
Love this place love the food love the staff
Best thai Restaurant and plenty of options even for Vegetarians
Definitely coming back here! Tried their butterfly pea lime (tastes like a sweet limeade), chicken dumplings, and their Chinese broccoli. Happy with everything. I even ordered another drink to go, it was so good. The owner and the server were very sweet and attentive, definitely recommend!
Very delicious Thai food on the corner with a lot of windows with outdoor patio.

Thai noodles boat is very tasty π
Food wasnβt good at all. We were rushed out of the restaurant! They chased us as we left the restaurant to give them more tip. Ridiculous!
The yellow curry is sooo goood!!! This is my new favorite place.
Haven't been there in probably 5 years, however the food was still consistently good.
Loved the food! Service is fantastic. This is one of the best Thai food we have had and we have traveled a lot. I highly recommend this place.
Was my first time grabbing a bite to eat here. I was pleasantly surprised of how fresh and tasty my Spicy Eggplant with chicken dish was, as well as the lightening speed wait time and friendly service. I'll definitely be frequenting this casual little gem of a restaurant more often. πππ
Just a great food and great price
I ordered takeout and it was soooo good! Pad Thai was spicy, tofu was crispy but soft, and the mango sticky rice dessert came with a whole mango yay thank you!!
This was the best Tai food ever and service was amazing!
Thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes here. Can't recommend it enough. You can't go wrong with anything.
It was great food but service not up to par. We had asked for extra sauce for our rice never got it and I had to go to the door to even get them to come outside and serve us
Boran means very old.
Boran:- it is a Thai word -it is like adjective to support the noun that place in front. For instant - stuff boran means antique, town boran means old town. So, that why when you walk in this resturant, you will see most pictures from the long time ago inThailand.
The food of here is tastety old style. I love it.
Very good food for the price and really enjoyed the egg rolls!! Not all egg rolls are the same here as well in la. I also had the pork and sausage fried rice. The pork was really good. I ordered off of grub hub. The delivery was very quick. Only negative they were offering a promotion and thought I was getting an extra order of egg rolls. I cant tell it was an extra order or only one egg roll free. Maybe I wouldn't have ordered as much if it was one egg roll only.
