Love this Mercado and the community that it builds. They have a small collection of family owned eateries, a couple of shops and even a seamstress on hand. Regularly there are different festivals with all kinds of activities, music and performances bringing together Angelinos. Love this place!

Lunch with friends and colleagues during my visit to LA. This place is amazing if you want local delicious food. Get here as fast as possible! Here are my thoughts:

Environment
This is a great local establishment in South LA near USC. It's a midsize food court with plenty of great vendors to choose from. The space is ran by a local non profit that caters to local businesses in the area. During the time we were there it was just getting busy. It's an active busy but not too busy space.

Service
We spent our time exploring the different food stalls deciding on which ones we wanted to try. Once you decide, like most food halls, you go up to the counter order your food they give you a number that you can take to your table and they will bring you your food.

Food and drinks
I ended up ordering chickens tacos and beans and rice from Chichon Itzo and a fish taco from Holbox (to see what the hype was about!). I learned that both stalls are ran by the same family - the father runs Holbox and the son runs Chichon. EVERYTHING was delicious. Plenty of flavor and delicious. I would recommend trying both places. I will definitely go back.

Overall
A wonderful food hall thats staple in the community with great food and a great place for lunch by yourself or for larger parties. Definitely a highlight of my trip.

OMG!!!… what can I tell you about this place…..is awesome!!!!…. I used to come yo Mercado La Paloma about 15 years ago when I worked in this are …. It was great then…. And it’s better now…. I was in the area and I just Gad to stop by for lunch…. Many different types of food to choose from … food is great!!!!…. And the atmosphere is amazing…. You must try it ….

Interesting little place. Multiple food options, some clothing in there as well. My engineering crew was doing a TV broadcast at the Galen Center. We walked over here on our break. We will definitely be back. I want to try some of the other places that I did not try.

Went into this spot to purchase the Oxacan Chicken and Mole Tamales. They were absolutely, delicious. There were 3 spots open on the inside of this small food court. The place was clean, with many locals from the neighborhood.

All the small businesses look so nice, everything is cute and clean!

This food market is the perfect spot in USC/DTLA area!

Marcado La Paloma is pretty cool, they have more than 4 restaurants inside and little shopping centers. Sometimes you will see people with small pop ups selling interesting souvenirs and other items. The people who work in this market place are very nice and friendly. The service at Oaxacali restaurant was excellent! The food was delicious. I recommend to visit el mercado la paloma. Such a nice place peaceful. Lot food variety authentic mexican style. You should come and taste the difference. Simple. Original way!

Within the mercado there are plenty of food options, and other stores to visit. The food options are great and require multiple visits to try them all! The lines can get long but only last 20-30 minutes. There is a parking lot but it fills up quickly. I highly recommend visiting!

LOVE this place. Hadn't been there since pre-COVID and was amazed at how crowded it was (Dodger's World Series probably part of it based on all the blue hats and shirts.) .Also likely was crowded because of the highly rated Holbox. However I was very happy to skip that line and eat at KOMAL instead. Delicious!!! I used to eat mostly at Chichen Itza and always had a tasty meal there too. Having worked in and built a food/health focused nonprofit in South LA, I always feel extra good coming here. Feels like a true community hub and you are very likely often surrounded by people who are super in engaged in the community. The market has added some outside tables which is awesome though there's lots of seating inside as well.

Outdoor table consistency and area maintenance could use some work. Great food inside with helpful service.

A nice variety of Mexican cuisine with the same flavours and ingredients as if you were in Mexico, in a familiar atmosphere. Definitely a place to visit and revisit as many times the need for authentic food arises.

The Friday night music The Rehearsal event is a great time and the food is to die for.

Day of the dead celebration going on. Everyone seemed rushed. Food was ok, but not as tasty as other times.

I always try to go here after 1.30 PM. It's is packed at 12 to 2. But I love all it's resturants.

I have been eating octopus but this has been the best I have ever had at Holbox. It is a michelin star restaurant, well worth the extra few dollars.

GREAT VARIETY OF DELICIOUS LATINO FOODS, FROM PESCATARIAN, TO ALL DIFFERENT TYPES OF MEAT + VEGETARIAN OPTIONS. THEY HAVE A PARKING LOT AND IF THEY RUN OUT OF SPACE EASY STREET PARKING. THEY ALSO HAVE A SPORTS TEAM STORE AND ARTISAN SHOPS.

Incredible place for food definitely a highlight of our LA trip we went looking for tacos and authentican Mexican food this place did not disappoint it was perfect. The wait is another thing there was a long line to enter but definitely worth it. The shrimp tacos are authentic like in Guadalajara, the fish tacos are really good as well, the aguas frescas are great and the chocolate icream is to die for. I'd definitely recommend to pay a visit if youre a tourist.

I was in, in a Mexican, Yucatan place and ordered a cochinita pibil tacos, they are far away of the real taste of this tacos and the habanero sauce.

Wow!! hidden gem in the LA area! There are so many spots to get really good food!! My family and I got Oaxacanian food a torta and tinga! It's a family-friendly environment very spacious to sit down with lots of tables ! I'll definitely stop by again next time I go to LA!

Don’t go to Gloria’s alterations. She is really rude and has an attitude problem. She didn’t have my alterations ready the day she had said and when I called her she gave me attitude and said she wasn’t at the shop and would call ME when she got there.
