Ebaes is an Asian fusion public house with an affinity for the daringly spicy. With a chef-crafted menu and happy hour sake, soju, and home brewed teas, Ebaes is perfect for get togethers and social dining. Ramen, Rolls, and Loves
I dined at Ebaes in Los Angeles and had an exceptional experience! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a modern and chic decor that set the perfect tone for the evening.
The menu offered a fantastic variety of Asian fusion dishes, and everything I tried was absolutely delicious. The sushi rolls were fresh and beautifully presented, and the ramen was rich and flavorful. I highly recommend trying their signature Ebaes Roll – it was a delightful mix of flavors and textures.
The service was top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff who made sure our dining experience was perfect from start to finish. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations.
Overall, Ebaes is a must-visit spot in Los Angeles for anyone who loves Asian cuisine. I can't wait to go back and try more of their amazing dishes!
Oh my God, how come I couldn’t find this place sooner I was in downtown LA for Work and I yelp Ramen and sushi and this place came up. It’s a small hole in the wall with bomb Ramen on the first of the month They always have Ramen for seven dollars. It was delicious. Remember this place is cash only. Service was amazing and this restaurant are USC fans. I definitely will come back.
I hadn't been here in many years but it was just as good as I remember it. I sent on a random weeknight and the place was full of college students, obviously, since it's so close to USC. They have a cool reverse happy hour with decently prices items. I ordered a number of their vegan options that were clearly marked and everything was delicious. The servers and staff were very friendly and attentive. I won't wait as long for my next return visit.
EBAES is one of my favorite places to grab sushi in LA. Whenever I’m in the area, I stop by for the Original Shrimp Ramen!!
Love the spicy tonkatsu ramen the best ramen no doubt 👍
I had the chance to visit EBAES in Los Angeles, and it was such a delightful experience! The Japanese cuisine was exquisite—every dish was crafted to perfection. The staff were warm and attentive, making us feel right at home. As for the ambiance, it was simply amazing—stylish, cozy, and full of character. I truly loved every moment!
Menu js a bit busy. But everything tasted well
Good vibes! Great Sushi! 🍣

amazing
Un lugar muy acogedor y la comida muy buena.100 % recomendado
Absolutely love this place
There spicy tonkatsu ramen is my #1 favorite and there is always friendly staff, it's always busy but they are always on top of it. You get a free ramen on your birthday and there Thai tea is delicious. I mean I have been here 4 times and never been disappointed. Love love love it
Uno de mis lugares favoritos. La comida esta rica, servicio rapido y precios accesibles.
Muy rica comida ! Pero fatal servicio al cliente por parte de la mecerá
Everything is excellent 👌 I recommend the spicy soup
My server was slightly inattentive, and the food and drinks were a little expensive. Me and my boyfriend ordered tonkatsu and he got the spicy one, and the regular was good but the spicy wasn't as great. It seems to be spiced with a low quality chili oil and diminished the flavor instead of adding to it. They played a lot of loud 2000s music which I wasn't a fan of and left me with a head ache
If attitude now walk off was a person, it would be the man that opens up on Sunday shift! Rude for no reason, glad to have walked right out.
First time having ramen here didn't like the coconut milk but everyone loved their food. I'll be back to try more!
Great little local place. Food great. Servers cool.
Excellent food and great service. Ramen is always delicious and the Thai tea is great.
A place with good food but little respect for the customer.
We absolutely LOVE this restaurant! It's clean and unpretentious, with a pleasant ambiance and one-of-a-kind restroom for the ladies. Pretty much every item on their vast menu is tasty, and the prices are reasonable. To make it even better, the service is top-notch. Everyone is friendly, attentive and professional. Special shoutout to Linda, Oscar and Jennifer - they're our fave servers and amongst the best in LA! Management, please give them a raise or promotion 😉

EBAES IS A HIDDEN GEM ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE ATTENDING USC
This ramen spot has a lot of great options to choose from. Whether you’re craving sushi, ramen or their different types of appetizers, they got you. From the outside it looks like a secret ramen spot and then coming inside, it feels like a cozy Japanese styled speakeasy! They are also close to USC so students can enjoy delicious ramen with friends till they generally close at 10pm. The staff is quick and very friendly as well.
I highly recommend trying their Original EBaes ramen a because of how creamy it is. The broth hits so good especially with your choice of protein. Their Cold Noodle Bae also is sugoi! It has so many layers making it perfect on a hot day! For sushi/rolls try their assorted Sushi Boats or any of their rolls. You won’t be disappointed.
Come thru run!
It was very nice, but a bit pricy.
The ceiling is beautiful.
Amazing place
Their original ramen with coconut milk is hot garbage. Those flavors don't work well and the topings are skimped out. Was just watered down with their gross broth. The worse ramen in LA hands down. I did enjoy their Thai tea tho.
It is a great place! The Original Ramen is really good, broth is delicious. Also, the truffle fries and sushi are good too:)
The person is at the door is very rude
It's great, we come here alot and we absolutely love the Sushi and Ramen.
Pedimos por Uber eat, pedimos que éramos alérgicos al picante y nos trajeron todo con picante :((
It's pretty hiding, an I like that it's a lil hole in the wall, but the sushi is always fresh. So that's why we love coming here even tho they get crowded very easily. Also the spicy tuna is extremely hot trust me🔥🥵 it's not a joke.
Yummyyyy
Yea, their staff never stop surprising me with their rude service. Do I owe something to you guys or what is the reason of these kind of terrible service???
Very cute and there's an impressive sushi selection. Staff just always seem busy
Terrible service. The woman at the door (with the long eyelashes) was super rude. Someone with no customer skills should not be working towards the public. They made our party wait for 45minutes even though there were literally 5 tables available. This made our experience at Ebaes a very bad one and we’ll not be back nor recommend this place to anyone.
This place is super slow. Always and always slow.
Had been with friends last week!
Nice service and ambience!
Great service and good menu selection for all the family. Parking after 5pm is ok, but before is difficult to find.
My husband and I ended up getting food poisoning after eating from here. We ordered the spicy pork tonkatsu ramen, that was delicious! I ordered the Godzilla roll which had no flavor what so ever, my husband ordered the spicy tuna roll which was just ok nothing special. The pork gyoza really didn't have any flavor either. Overall it wasn't a good visit for us.
Dinner was actually really good here. I'm vegetarian, and I found they had a nice selection of vegetarian options. The portion sizes are justified for what you're paying for, and the ambiance is great. Highly recommend.
La sopa “ The original Ebaes Ramen” tiene un sabor único, cremosa y deliciosa. (A quienes les gusta el coco).
I had a Diablo ramen which was actually not that spicy (I do love spicy) and was really just a poor version of tonkatsu ramen with simple cheap ingredients yet with the same price tag as other MUCH better ramen places in LA (Suehiro, Rakkan Ramen, etc.).
The Red Dragon Rolls were absolutely delicious though. From other reviews, it seems this place specializes more in sushi and appetizers like Edamame so keep that in mind.
The service was non-existent. Walked in and I had to get the hostess' attention then she looks at the dining area and says "just sit anywhere". Once seated, no server came around to offer any drinks or take our order. We had to wave one down as he was just chilling in the back.
The environment was a mishmash of quaint and tacky. A lot looked cheap and without taste (not everything has to be expensive obviously but it's a bit much). The seating was SUPER claustrophobic. If you sit anywhere near the big table, you'll have people squeezing through next to you and knocking over the stuff on your table (happened twice).
Overall, I've never cared for reviews and have always had very minimal standards. But man even Shake Shack looks and tastes better with better service.
I hadn't been here in many years but it was just as good as I remember it. I sent on a random weeknight and the place was full of college students, obviously, since it's so close to USC. Rolls were good. Recommend the Korean beef rice bowl and Pad Sie Eiw were really good and decent portions for this type of establishment. Vegan options available for your vegan buddies. Atmosphere is that of a quaint higher class dive bar. Nice place to chill. Thai Tea is a must.
Great quality and quantity food.
The Thai tea and tonkotsu ramen here cannot be beat. I love the atmosphere, dinner with friends is always a treat at this fantastic hidden gem. Service is always kind and I love coming back to revisit my favorite menu items. Definitely recommend!
Food is great and the happy hour menu is the best in town.
This will be forever my favorite ramen spot 😋
Best ramen in LA. There’s nothing quite like the original ramen here, and there are so many other incredible options on the menu to try. Servers are super friendly and a nice atmosphere.
I went for a date night with my husband. The food was good. I had the seared salmon roll. The atmosphere and waiters are kind of collegiate though.
Hole on the wall gem! Service was friendly and attentive. We enjoyed all of our order especially the spicy tuna rolls which is on their best sellers list as well as their Thai tea… with boba! Yum! Took one to go as well. The spicy garlic edamame was too spicy but we still finished them. No food left behind! Definitely coming back and recommend.
I was so excited to see they had veggie options that weren’t just an avocado roll! Will be coming back the spicy garlic edamame is also really yummy. Thai iced tea has coconut milk option!
Bathroom is really cute too! However I do wish maybe the server we had checked in with us a little more! Overall great experience
Happy hour prices were excellent!
Not much to see from the outside but it's very nice inside. I had a very nice chicken rice bowl with eel sauce.
This restaurant is a trendy hole in the wall. Seating arrangement could be worked on just because it can get stuffy and hot pretty quickly. The food is Asian inspired, creating dishes that can be unique in taste. They offer street parking only!
A fantastic ramen place for a good price. The Original Ebaes Ramen ($14.5) has coconut milk which enticed me. Very flavorful and absolutely tasty. They had a small tomato in the dish which was really weird but it honestly paired well with the coconut milk broth. The chicken didn't have a lot of flavor and that complimented the bowl as every other aspect did.
The USC roll was also very well done. A pretty big roll. The cream cheese adds a good creaminess and texture. However I think the sushi rolls are overpriced but the quality is there.
I probably don't have a very dependable palate when it comes to ramen because I've truthfully always disliked it lol!! It's always been either too salty or too thick tasting but Ebaes does it for me!! Ebaes Tonkatsu has the perfect balance of salt & pork flavor and the Original is almost like a creamy Tom Yum similar to Tom Kha Gai (just a bit sweeter) which I love so.. I'd say try them out!
Good tasting food and great place to meet friends.
Great taste and jut know that every 1st of the month they have %50 discount, so ahead and enjoy this restaurant is good.
Quality of the food was poor and portion size was small considering the cost. We ordered two bowls of ramen. Mine was meant to be spicy, there wasn't a hint of spice. Both sets of noodles were also undercooked.
My first time was very good the service, food and atmosphere, it wasn't busy but the second visit was bad the service was taking for ever they didn't serve the food at once, the appetizers were brought last, but one thing that I disliked is that the server was charging me 20 percent tip for a party of 4 afrerI told her she was whispering something to her coworker looked at us and laughed that was something that made me uncomfortable and upset because they weren't professional.
Strongly suggest not getting the sushi here my girlfriend went here today with a friend for lunch and came back with stomach problems and puked her guts out.
Was good not great. Definitely worth checking out and forming your own opinion. Ordered to go so can't speak on service but it was packaged good and ready ahead of time so a plus
Food is 👍
My boyfriend and I accidentally stumbled onto this cute little place, very hungry and pleasantly surprised. We split the crispy rice, snow dragon roll and the seared salmon roll and the portions were big enough to fill us up. It was a mix of college students and their parents during happy hour (not the best happy hour prices) and busy but not crowded enough to disturb the service, even though there was only one server, who was also bussing tables. The food was delicious and we'll be back.
Super good everything is delicious but the service is extremely slow
Love the Korean BBQ with the pad se eue (spelling???)
Great spicy tuna roll! Service not great but the food makes up for it.
Absolutely poor service in delivery! Why even have a delivery option available when first of all; they can’t mark down what’s what everything just has a generic sticker with no marking of what’s what thank you for that! Second of all they get orders wrong?? Paying extra money for topping just to get them wrong? If you order extra bbq beef you don’t get the other meat?? What is that disappointing wouldnt recommend
The rolls never disappoint. The ramen is super delicious.
Good food had original ramen , California roll , dragon roll , but one waiter only ., he didn’t come to check on us not even once 🫤looked like they where low on waiters 🫤
Great place for vegan food. Super flavorful!
Amazing place with amazing pricing. Love to come here again
Very tasty, kind of hole in the wall ramen spot, haven't tried the sushi yet, but the specialty shrimp ramen is so good, never had anything like it
Decent food but they told us we had to wait 10-15 minutes for two rolls and we ended up waiting 40 minutes. 2 (TWO) rolls!!! Unacceptable. If wait is that long tell me up front
Food was amazing and the place is very cool and relaxing 😻 top of line Ramen 🍜
good food, nice environment
Came here today 6/15/2022 . Party of 7 and honestly was having a good time. Well that was up until I orders a side of chicken karage. I sat facing the kitchen with a clear view of the kitchen and where they place the food . I saw my side come out, my sever was facing the other way ( might have been on his phone , Im not really sure ) anyway the side sat there for about 10 minutes whil I stared at him wondering when my server would realize that my order was ready, well in that time another server came by , moved the plate almost out of site but not before reaching in with his bare fingers , grabbing a piece or two for himself and putting it back. So I thought to myself...ofcoarse thats not for me right, I mean it couldn't. Maybe thats a side they prepared for themselves. But no! a few moments later, my server realizes my side is there . Grabs it and brings it to me. I almost fell out of my seat , I quietly told the server what happened. Asked for a manager but there wasnt any here , I asked for the number to the restaurant and was told to find it on yelp. You guys can take it from here , this is by far my most detailed and honest review ever.
Great little hole in the wall place. Staff great . Food. Great. Like their happy hour.
Love the sushi!
Friendly, good breakfast. I had a tufo scramble and it has the option to add eggs. I did not. It was delicious. Space was clean but sparse. It's new and needs to develop atmosphere.
The 🍜 🔥🔥
Great place for sushi. I didn't know i had such a place so close to me. My friend had told me about it and i was surprised. The restaurant is nice inside, it has that compact/cozy feeling Japanese restaurants tend to have.
It feels like a hole in the wall place when you look at the entrance, you might miss it if you don't look closely.
The only reason I don't give them 5 stars is because I wish they had eel rolls, that is important to me when it comes to sushi restaurants.
Maybe it's due to COVID restrictions but I wasn't impressed considering the hype. I got their Original ramen and it was too milky and sweet, tasted like chai tea and noodles. Again, this may be due to the current restrictions as a good ramen needs time to soak in the flavors. I will return again to try a different style ramen but the Original wasn't for me. Try it and judge for yourself but I've had better
Their original ebaes ramen is simply amazing - the right level of spice and sweet !
Grate service From the server her name is arah great work
Great place to eat sea food. Love it.
Yummie!!! Staff friendly!!
Great food great atmosphere. Food was served at a good time. Had the ebaes ramen 🍜 🤤 it was the first of the month and they have their ramens for only $7 bucks. 👍🙌🙌
The staff are petty and can't take orders if their life depended on it. If they don't like you they will make your food extra spicy (when it isn't supposed to be) or extra salty.
This used to be my favorite place to eat, now it is trash because of the staff.
Dr. Charlie is a true professional.
Fue el mejor ramen que comi, y Thaitea es increible recomiendo comer aqui
A little pricey but quite worth it. Food was exceptionally presented and delicious. Would definitely go again.
Food is not bad, but nothing to rave about. Very simple meals. We had a few sushi rolls and the veggie bowl. Veggie bowl didn't come with any sauce. Looked like frozen vegetables over brown rice.... Dishes could be improved. Service was slow. Staff seemed like they didn't want to be there.
Very tasty vegetarian ramen. Ordered it spicy. Pleasantly surprised at how flavorful it was. Will definitely go again. Good service to go.😉
They no longer accept cash.
BEST RAMEN IN TOOOOWN!! PLS PLS PLS eat their Original Ebaes Ramen! If you die tomorrow without having tried it first, I will pitty you.
Nice food! Cozy place
Nice atmosphere great food and great service
Servers were friendly, food was great. Nice little location, loved the art on the wall. Will definitely be back. 👌🏼
Ramen. Spicy. Tasty. Go.
Amazing
Ramen is bland.
This place is banging!!! First time ever having real ramen and no other place compares. We caught them on customer appreciation day which is the first of month, and ramen for 5 dollars. Being cash though! This is a deal! So good and filling! I bring all my out of town family here.
LOVE the food here. Absolutely delicious smoked salmon rolls and the ebaes ramen is YUMMY. The staff definitely does a great job making sure every dish and order is perfect. On top of that their desert is AMAZING!!! I've never had a problem here. Can't wait for my next meal here.
first time here and ordered the Spicy Tan-Tan Ramen, Crunchy Shrimp Rolls and the Edamame. I really liked the Crispy Shrimp with a good portion of crabmeat and shrimp tempura. Wasn't a really big fan of the Spicy Tan-Tan Ramen due to the not fully cook noodles. It pretty spicy for someone who loves spicy food I give this a 8 out of 10 of the Spice level. The Edamame, well you can't o wrong with them. I liked that they were warmed up which made it better.
Fire will be coming back again
Good Ramen!!!!
