Understated setting for a menu of primarily Northern Thai dishes, plus drinks.
We made reservations at Open Table, which is a good idea on a Sat night as they are busy. We sat is the charming upstairs area. We started with fresh rolls which were awesome - really good peanut sauce! The salad was fresh with really good tomatoes and the sesame dressing was delicious. The panang curry, green curry, and drunken noodles were all very tasty. I’m so glad we found this place. We will be back soon.
It’s actually a very nice restaurant. We came on December 31 and it was packed. It has two floors and I liked the upper floor more. The food was very good. We got everything in mild and it was too mild, no spice at all. My advice is if you tolerate spices, pick medium. The service was a bit slow though. Maybe because it was filled to its maximum capacity and the stuff was just not enough. Overall it’s a nice place to have a meal with friends or bring a family or even a date.
As a Flight Attendant, I’m about to start bidding Long Beach layovers just to come eat here. Thai is my favorite cuisine but I branched out from my normal dishes this time upon the waiter’s suggestion. I didn’t catch his name but he was so personable with each customer, asking what flavors they liked and making recommendations. I tried the Geang Hung - Lay, a braised pork kind of stew with roasted garlic, ginger, turmeric, and peanuts, and WOW. The Thai tea was also one of the best I’ve ever had, out of the countless Thai teas I’ve had in my life! And with a real flower. :) Don’t skip this spot.
Go for the Kabocha Curry!!
This dish was the star of the night, herbaceous, homey and comforting yet refined, it was excellent! We had for appetizers the Thai District Dumplings and the Brussel Sprouts and they were good. The other main dish (aside from the already mentioned Kabocha pumpkin curry) was the Geang-hung - Lay Northern Style very hearty and tasty. For dessert we tried the Coconut Panna Cotta with guava soup (the guava overwhelms the coconut) but it was good and the classic Mango with Sticky Rice (ok). The Lemon grass Iced Tea was very nice. All dishes and drinks came decorated with a real orchid! The ambiance is cozy and dark, first floor could work for a first or second date, second floor is a bit more communal and crowded. Bathroom is on second floor so you have to go up stairs. Service was super attentive and excellent.
This place is soooo good!
Best soft shell crab curry, ever! That is my go to! All other items on the menu are also superb!
Yummy
Absolutely delicious Thai food, and rare finds from the northern/Chiang Mai region which is hard to find state side! Highly recommend the golden bags, Khao soi, and rainbow trout. Recommend making a reservation to avoid a wait, or if you’ve got time visit their corner bar the Blind Donkey for games and quality cocktails while they prep your table. Friendly service. Busy place, and I can see why! Must-have while in downtown LB.
Surprise big up-charge for overcooked shrimp. Horrible phone order customer service and incomplete/deceptive online pricing. Pineapple fried rice is priced $17 online. I called to order and asked if Incould choose shrimp as the protein. They said yes but failed to mention it was considerably higher price, and there was no mention of that on the online menu, so I was shocked when my order total exceeded $26. They should have said something on the phone when I asked about shrimp. It’s a big jump from $17 a $26. they made no attempt to fix the issue they just pointed to the menu and said, “see shrimp is extra.” To make matters worse, the shrimp was disgustingly overcooked and mushy. I was a repeat customer and I’ve ordered many times from here but they just lost my business. Tell people about big upcharges on the phone so there isn’t a big surprise, or do something to make up for it, and for gods sake don’t ruin the thing you up-charged for by overcooking it. yuck
This is one of my favorite dinner spofs in Long Beach. It is a cosy, warm, small thai restaurant with great food. Service is good. I like the decor of fhe restaurant with little lights flickering along the staircase. I recommned getting a few starters, must try their soups and then yellow curry for the main course. Also, do nit forget to make a reservation in advance as you might have to wait a lot during peak times without one.
I ordered drunken noodles and Geang Hung-Lay Northern Style curry. The curry was absolutely excellent, one of the best dishes I've had. I ordered it spicy and though it was extremely flavorful, I didn't feel much of a burn from it. The drunken noodles were overcooked, mushy, under seasoned, and kind of bland (I ordered it spicy). So seems like the quality of this restaurant is highly dependent upon what dish you order. I'll probably give it another chance, but I'll probably only order Northern Thai dishes since they don't seem to do other things well.
Thai restaurant across the street from hotel.
OMG, rather OMFG! Ordered dumplings and shrimp and tofu pad Thai. I have never tested better! Try it!
(Eating it as I post this review!)
I just want to give a huge shoutout. Not only is the food excellent, the service is outstanding. I accidentally ordered pick up vs delivery and they changed it no problem. I was so glad I didnt have to leave the house and the food was amazing. Thanks TD!
Back in town for a second year and have given these guys 2 more days of business and still have not been disappointed. First time seeing the place in person and not having it delivered. It is a very small place but it is always busy and lively. Sat at their patio day 1 and that was an interesting experience. You feel disconnected from the restaurant but they take care of you via an alleyway to the back of their restaurant. Quick service, friendly staff and delicious meals!
I had dinner here NYE, while visiting from Chicago. Some of the best Thai Food I've experienced. The pineapple rice is Aamazing, make sure to leave room for dessert.

Yummy vegan options!
Street or nearby parking lot parking. Upstairs and downstairs. One restroom for the floor. The food was good but a little too sweet. The service was good. It didn't take too long for the food to arrive. Average price. They have 0 to 3 spice scale, and Thai spicy. Vegan and vegetarian options.
Food is delicious, staff delivers great service every time
First the service wasn’t great! After we had our ordered taken, received and never seen our server again after. We needed sauces but no one came by until we needed a box and the check. The food was tasteless. Peanut sauce is not good at all and was part of a vegetarian dish we ordered which was sitting on a bed of spinach tofu slathered in their dipping peanut sauce for an overpriced amount for the quality and not good flavor. The appetizer rolls were tasteless again the peanut sauce was not tasting good at all. The Thai ice tea also tasted off. Nice ambience not great food and poor service.
Food vegetarian style. Upsetting no flavor and poorly made. Ordered ginger with pea tips.. received a plate full of onions hardly any other veggies covered in sauce. Tofu with peanuts, sauce, and spinach. Looks and was a plate with ready made spinach topped with tofu covered in their dipping peanut sauce and crushed peanuts. Was awful in taste and super messy put together. Thai ice tea was the worst hands down that I ever had. Service wasn’t fitting the atmosphere and we pretty much ordered and never seen him again. Not worth it. Tasteless, yes -5 stars , and presentation is zero stars.
A staple restaurant for DTLB, however I've had a few mixed experiences to the point where I'm not sure I can wholeheartedly recommend it over Naree Thai (a few blocks away).
The noodle dishes are generally great, however the entrees have quality inconsistencies, often with some dishes coming out cold or over cooked when they're slightly busy.
Their Massaman curry has quite a different flavor profile than I commonly find at other Thai restaurants. Not necessarily bad, but not to my preferences.
The ambience and building is fantastic though, especially the upstairs.
Ordered delivery first time from this place & it was absolutely delicious! Best drunken noodles & cucumber salad I’ve ever had! Wish I had pics to show. Thai District will be my only go-to Thai restaurant from now on.
As a Flight Attendant, I’m about to start bidding Long Beach layovers just to come eat here. I have been a customer of Thai District for over seven years. I have always given high reviews and recommend this establishment to family and friends - until tonight.
Tonight I had the worst experience that I have ever had at a restaurant. I ordered the Thai Basil with Chicken - Thai Hot.
When I explained to the host that I wanted it Thai hot, he commented that he would let the chef know that the “white boy” wants it spicy, like I could not handle the spice. I took this as a joke and let it go. I explained to him that the chef normally puts fresh Thai green or red chilies that are chopped up in it when I have ordered in the past. I have always ordered Thai Hot for my dishes here.
When I received my food, it had two dried red chilies on it, and it was not spicy at all, but I ate it all because I was hungry and had not eaten all day. When I received my bill, he rang it up as a Level 2 - which explains why it was not hot.
Back to the comment that he made earlier when ordering, I am actually of Asian descent and when I discovered that he intentionally toned down the spice level because of how he “saw” me - that infuriates me. It also explains why I did not receive chopsticks as requested I’m guessing.
I don’t mind paying $30-$40 for a meal when I get what I pay for but in this case I did not and this type of service has never happened to me here before. I received my food, an insult and a laugh from the waiter. Nothing against the restaurant itself or the food but I can assure you I will not be back.
Go for the Kabocha Curry!!

We made a dinner reservation and really enjoyed sitting outside enjoying the cool weather (we're from South Texas where it's permanently summer). The outdoor seating is confusing - the entrance and host stand is 70 yards away and around the corner.
After being seated we waited a long time to be greeted, and our server was very distracted by something else. There are no restrooms which wasn't fun. The food was good, but very average. We'll give this place another try in the future - it has potential.
Thai tea floats - could you ask for anything more delicious? Seriously, amazing meal, great service, great atmosphere. One of the best Thai meals I've ever had - and I've eaten Thai at many cities across the U.S. Check this one out for sure.
Lovely staff always very friendly and personable. We love that they accept reservations over the phone! Food is excellent. Golden bags & pineapple curry are truly amazing! One of our go-tos anytime we are in Long Beach!🔥
Love this place. My girlfriend came with some friends for a lunch and loved it so much she brought me for our anniversary dinner. Everything we've ordered has been amazing. We will definitely be back!
I'm here tonight celebrating my 41st birthday with my husband, and honestly I couldn't have made a better choice! From the Thai pot stickers and Tom Kha to my Pad Thai and his crispy pork dish(I forgot the name! But it had Chinese broccoli ) everything is DELICIOUS and I couldn't be happier with the food or the service. Thank you Thai District for saving me from cooking lol.
Ordered take out two days in a row and the cashew stir fry with tofu was amazing. Highly recommend!
Really solid takeout
the mango stickyrice here is life changing
Best Thai restaurant in Long Beach. You can’t go wrong with anything on this menu.
Did take out. Ordered 2 main dishes, pad se ewe chicken and basil stir fry tofu - both were flavorful and delicious!
Worst service and restaurant experience. Placed an order for delivery got an estimated time of 30 minutes. Driver was there to pick up, nothing. Time pushed back another 30-45 minutes. Another driver showed up to pickup food, nothing. Time pushed back another 30 minutes another driver. Nothing time wasted no food everything closed. Called the restaurant they are incompetent and don’t know how to communicate and are clueless with delivery orders. Wanted to give it a shot but will not be back. Stay away!
The meats in the dishes were cooked to perfection. Really great presentation and nice servers. I highly recommend coming here for a night out!
Quaint neighborhood joint. Relaxing and food was awesome 👌
Bad service
Scrumptious and aromatic Thai cuisine. We did wait a while for our food but it was totally worth it. I throughly enjoyed the yellow curry with shrimp and brown rice. The fried rice with chicken also deligted. They offer a heat scale from no heat to 1-4 levels. Note that level one is spicier than expected however very delicious. Come with an appetite and good company and you will certainly be back for more.
Better than 5 stars. We love Thai food and enjoy trying new places when we travel - I will be holding all future Thai meals to this high standard! So incredibly delicious, perfect weather for the patio seating, and some truly unique curry options. Loved it!!
Everything was a 10/10 .
First time and food was excellent. Group of 5 of us got the drunken noodles, pad Thai, pineapple fried rice and green beans. Everything was excellent. Also chose the lychee sangria and what a treat. Don't think of traditional sangria in any way but it's still very yummy. Would really recommend
An awesome Thai restaurant experience located in downtown Long Beach California that deserves a visit. The food was a pure delight: The Seafood Yellow Curry was deliciously flavorful and the Coconut Soup was extremely tasty. The ambiance was very pleasant and relaxing. The service perfectly satisfying. Also, a good price-quality ratio. I highly recommend.
Six stars out of five. Four people in our group with four different dishes. All of us agreed our individual dish was the best Thai we ever had.
I really like the food in the restaurant. However, the second time we couldn’t find the parking and decide to order the food from Uber eats. We have to pick up at different place not the restaurant. Everything is totally different. Taste is so bad and the quantity is so small. That’s why I gave them 5 stars for dine-in and only 1 star for ordering on line
Delicious!
We stumbled upon this place when spending the day in Long Beach. The place has a super cozy and cool atmosphere, the service and food were phenomenal! I had the Drunken Pork Ragu Noodles, and I will forever be chasing the high I got from eating this dish. Favorite Thai food hands down!
Absolutely fantastic - the chicken satay, pot stickers, pad Thai, and curry were phenomenal
great thai food. i had the Green Papaya Salad, Lemongrass Soup, Geang Hung-Lay (Northern Style), and a thai iced tea. The salad was my favorite.
I've got to say, i really liked this place. The menu is a little different than your average Thai restaurant
I have enjoyed Thai food for decades. Tbh, there's only like a handful that have stood out enough to remember to go back. Thai food is always really good, but only a few that keep bringing me back.
When you find that spot that keeps bringing you back, you recognize it. The prices are fair, and probably the largest portions you'll ever find at a Thai spot. The only thing that keeps me from giving a 5 star for the food, is because if doesn't have that distinct pan fried flavor that a well seasoned wok should deliver.
My Dad had this black crusty build up caked, cast iron frying pan. Once that thing got hot, the flavors of many great meals made from an array of leftovers, would emit dementia inducing microbes that usually tasted better than in it's original cooked form. This is the fried flavor standard I seek and compare to.
Some medical experts believe it's our parents and grandparent's choice of cookware is the cause of elderly Alzheimer's, and Dementia. That's ok, because I won't even remember.
If you like beautifully tasteful Thai cuisine this is the place for you. Just close your eyes and point to anything on the menu...you can't miss! Salads, soups, noodles 🍜, the best you've ever tasted. Also, you'll be blessed to be served by my main man, Sam.
The atmosphere and ambiance are impeccable 👌, get her fast and enjoy a delightful escape and getaway from the mundane. That District is legit, lit! Don't take my word for it, prove it to yourself 💜.
Sorry no photos, I ate too fast but Illget some next time and upload for ya.
Came here from the Coachella Valley. Food was AMAZING. Highly recommend the Drunken Noodle and the Pad See Eew. Scott was an amazing server who had recommended these dishes to us. Thank you Thai District!!
Good selection of northern Thai food, hard to find in socal but becoming more popular.
The worst customer service !
Service was quick, good food, good portion size. Will definitely be happy to eat here again.
We came here in a group of six and sat down on the patio on a beautiful evening. I had the green curry with shrimp and I really enjoyed it! I also tried the pad Thai from one of my friends which was also very good. Lovely evening
"Thai District is a culinary gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The food was absolutely amazing, bursting with authentic Thai flavors that transported us to Thailand. Scott, our server, went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was exceptional. Not only did he provide impeccable service, but he also shared interesting tidbits about the area, like the length of the actual “Long Beach” in Long Beach, adding a delightful personal touch to our evening. We left feeling completely satisfied and already planning our next visit. Five stars all around for Thai District!"
We loved Dining Here !
Menu had lot of options and we tried some of our routine Thai favs :
1) Pineapple Curry : This was great. Very Good .Bursting with awesome Thai flavor and hands down the best dish of the night for us !
2) Lychee White Sangria : it was Way too sweet ! Felt I was drinking lychee syrup , we had to send it back and restaurant was kind to swap this for another drink. We got a mule instead which was good.
3) Ground Chicken : This was another very good dish and came with Brown Rice and Egg. We loved it !
Our sweet cravings were maxxed out because of how sweet the lychee sangria was so couldn't try any of their desserts ;)
This is a good spot and we will be back for sure !
Such a pretty spot! I came here with a group on our last day in LB. the food was great and the cocktails were spectacular. I would def go for the fried rice and they brought out the spice rack which made the food even better. Service was great and we were able to have a quiet dinner upstairs. My group got a range of different food items all were unique and delicious. My crab fried rice was very good. I recommend the Mai tai and you must leave room for dessert they have an entire dessert menu!
Gem of a place in the heart of DTLB.
You gotta appreciate the efforts put up in ambiance. Starting with Tom kha soup, it was boasting authentic flavors.
I tried Panang curry which was thick and creamy with mixed seafood.
Spicy firied rice was great too and for two people, the quantity was enough to satisfy the appetite.
Parking can be tough but not too bad.

The waiter was rude, and he didn't take our order correctly, he ignored our allergies and later our order came late.
Top choice dining experience in the LBC. Delicious food choices, unique cocktails, adventurous atmosphere in a Long Beach historic building.
My first time in Thai District and I felt in love with that place. Walking distance from DTLB. Great food! The whole experience was perfect. Highly recommended!
Food is delicious. There is art everywhere.Upstairs has a great view.
Food 5/5
Service 4.9/5
Atmosphere 5/5
Excellent food...always tempted to try multiple dishes and so far all of them are great!!
Absolutely excellent food. I ordered the TD Brussel sprouts and the soft shell crab curry. Brussel sprouts are ever bit as delicious as others here have noted. The curry was superb - Probably the best I’ve ever had. The crab was tempura fried, which wasn’t what I was expecting but it stood on its own. Will definitely be back.
Was too hungry to take pictures but the green curry was the tastiest, freshest, aromatic curry I have ever had. We added chicken to it. Also, the spicy fried rice was very good, we added crispy pork belly and that was tasty!! Great atmosphere, statues everywhere, interesting cultural pieces. Staff was friendly and attentive. Thank you, we will be back. =]
My young son and I went here for his birthday. He loved the food, and so did I. I feel we could have been checked on at least twice while we had our meal, but since we were sitting at the end on the top floor, I feel like we were noticed less (probably because there bigger families and friends grouped together). Nonetheless, during the first check in, our waiter got us what we needed. I ended up using my own napkins I had prepared from home. When I asked for the bill later, I was able to get a couple take away boxes. As we were traveling all the way from China for the day, my son started getting tired fast after a yummy meal!
It was Pilar who came to help bus tables who noticed I was trying to keep my son awake while packing takeaway. She got hands-on and offered to help pack the food away. In my own experience of servicing, I feel packing food away and earning an above and beyond tip comes from the server, but I didn’t complain when I packed the food away. Pilar, though, went above and beyond here, and on top of it, when figuring out it was my son’s birthday, she offered him a cake! That was so nice. Keep in mind she wasn’t the one serving us. Perhaps she was a manager. It was an excellent ending to our evening. I believe her involvement made the restaurant visit exceptional when it came to service.
If visiting, I recommend trying out the drunken noodles! They were delicious! Go in the evening for a fun chill vibe. :)
The food was absolutely delicious, we had the drunken noodles and their special curry, which was recommended by the waiter, and I was blown away by the complex flavor of the curry. While the food was incredible, the servers and atmosphere of the establishment were similarly amazing as well. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend this place to anyone who likes a more traditional styled thai place, and I will definitely be dining here again.
We tried this place on our first night in town with friends. The food was so fresh and authentic. We went back again a few days later, and we asked to sit upstairs near the window. The best seat in the house. We had to wait a few minutes, but the hostess was so happy to accommodate us there. Highly recommend a reservation. Fantastic food!
Thai District was very good. For starters, we tried the Dumplings and Brussel Sprouts, and they were delicious. 🥟 The brussel sprouts may have been the best I’ve ever experienced anywhere. For the main entree, my wife and I both ordered the Yellow Curry with chicken. 🍛 This proved to be another really good menu option. We absolutely loved the food and will definitely consider returning.
Be warned, however, that the service may be a little slow. It was a busy night with a full dining room. The restaurant seemed understaffed and there was only one server for our downstairs dining area. He was doing the best he could and it wasn’t his fault. Again, the food was spectacular and I would recommend for the quality of the menu options.
The food was good, but the service was pretty slow. we got there and waited about for 10 min before someone greeted us at door, keep in mind that no one else was in the establishment. we were the only customers there. The host was counting her tips in front of us before she guided us to our table. We sat there waiting about 15 mins before we were offered any drinks. Then, I waited an additional 10 mins, and then the waitress came over. And keep in mind thru this whole time no one else was in the establishment. But once food got their service, picked up as well as customer service.
Pad kra pao really hit the spot.
Since it’s a northern Thai restaurant tried the Khao Soi, but the soup’s flavor was very similar to that of the curry crab. Curry crab had perfect texture, but it tasted more like crab in massaman curry than the sweeter curry crab dish I’m used to.
Nevertheless, each dish was rich in flavor and I’d be happy to return to try other dishes.
***Thai milk tea was excellent as well
Excellent food and service. It’s hard to find a really solid Northern Thai menu. This is the place. Best in town. Molly had great suggestions for the meal and was so kind and attentive. Scott took care of us the last half of the night and was excellent as well. Thanks for a great night.
Amazing atmosphere! Delicious food!
Wonderful ambience, and great food.
The food was fantastic. Flavors were excellent, and so was the service and atmosphere. Upstairs seating is very intimate and comfortable.
Some of the best Thai food I’ve had in the US. We ordered a few dishes including a pork one, pad se ew and the osso bucco which was my favourite. Drinks are strong and really well priced.
Best Thai I've ever had.
This restaurant gets really busy so I would suggest to book in advance. The real reason is the food tastes so original Thai, served beautifully presented. The decor also impress you on arrival. They have limited seating and some tables outside and upstairs. As always I had my Thai green curry with rice as takeaway. Spotless! The vegetable sitting rolls were a bit of disappointing, perhaps served hot in the restaurant would taste better. Service was really fast. Recommended
Amazing Thai food in a nice area nestled with tons of things to do and see. The osso bucco was amazing as was everything else we had. Great outdoor area and friendly staff
Best fried tofu of my life. I liked the spices you can add to anything. Amazing pad Thai. Such a beautiful place to eat.
Loved this place, even for a large group! Delicious food and kind staff.
I saw that this was close to the Courtyard Marriott where we were staying. It's a small place but there's an upstairs area and outside seating. We had the Tom Yum with shrimp, Thai Basil with Chicken, Green Beans with Beef, Pad Thai with Chicken and Brown rice. I appreciated the fact that they have specific levels of spiciness. Level 1 is really mild all the way to Thai spicy. Some people in my group can't handle spicy so everything was level 1. I opted for the spice rack to add some kick to the dishes.
As for the dishes, even with level 1 spiciness the dishes held their own as is. Adding chili flakes to them gave them the kick I wanted.
All the proteins are itemized and can be added to almost every dish. The Thai iced tea had a nice orchid garnish although I think it was edible.
The staff was friendly, courteous and offered suggestions for the spice challenged.
Our table was a tad bit cramped but definitely not unbearable.
I would definitely come here again!
The food was good. I recommend it.
Really good food and cool atmosphere
I don't say this lightly - the food is incredible! In the wake of an abundance of mediocre Thai restaurants, this stands out as a clear frontrunner. The pad Thai is perfect. The crispy rolls and pot stickers were delicious. The only down side is the severely cramped dining space. Depending on where you're sitting, you could be seated merely two feet away from a stranger on a bench. This made my dining experience very uncomfortable. I highly recommend ordering food to go or going when it's not busy. Regardless, the food is amazing and I'll definitely be back...as a takeout customer.
Some of the best Thai food I have had the pleasure of tasting. The pad Thai level 3 was a delectable plate partnered well with the chicken Tom kha. The crispy creamy flavored golden bags melt in your mouth. The atmosphere upstairs really pulls the whole place together. Would love to come back (:
Food was absolutely amazing. Will return asap
Great food. Even better service. Thanks Scott!
Very quaint little restaurant. Fabulous service and fabulous food in a beautiful area. I had beef fried rice, others in my group had various things including soup. We were all offered a choice of spice levels, and everyone agreed it tasted wonderful! The waiter was also spectacular in his knowledge of everything on the menu, and ability to answer every question we had off the top of his head. Really a great experience!
Visited for the holidays and would definitely be returning. I really enjoyed my meal. Thu it was take out the presentation was still good. I can tell they care. Golden bag is a great starter. The basil/garlic salmon was tasty, just the right amount of fresh basil and spice! The crab fried rice delicious, dessert was one of my thai favorites. I look forward to dining in.
Firstly, I absolutely love the food and atmosphere here. My only issue is with our waiter (Scott? tall blonde man). I mentioned I had a gluten allergy when ordering my pad Thai (which was able to be altered gf) and he got weirdly snippy (unprovoked) and afterwards completely ignored our table and would avoid eye contact even when helping the tables directly beside us… he checked in on the tables more than 3x while completely avoiding us. We actually had to flag down another waitress after finishing our food because we had been waiting 15 minutes for our check!! So incredibly confusing. When we went to mention it to the front desk they said he had already gotten a complain about him minutes before us… so I guess I’m not the only one😬
The owner is french and did a great job!
Excellent spicy fried rice with shrimp and potstickers!!! Apple dessert was delicious. Great that we were able to sit outside.
They are always popping with business. The food always tastes amazing. And the vibes are great 👍🏼
I wanted to love this place so much, but I was violently ill after eating here. I had the soft crab curry and I was projectile vomiting within 90 minutes of leaving. I called the restaurant and they took notes and took it very seriously. The rest of my party enjoyed the food immensely and did not get ill. We shared apps and drinks so it was definitely the curry. I’m just so sad, I had looked forward to this place for weeks. I know I do not have an allergy to crab I eat it regularly. I was sick for about 16 hours and it was bad… I’m sorry to leave this review.
Best Thai food and service!!! Loved this restaurant!! Definitely coming back!! Thank you for the amazing experience!! Highly recommend the dumplings and the soft shell crab curry!
The Hung Lay was the most succulent Pork "Stew"! Loved the Golden Bag appetizer (kind of a little bag version of a egg roll- great presentation). Scott (our server) was phenomenal; great personality, very knowledgeable (my wife has Celiac, and he knew just what to recommend)- felt like he was psychic lol- even on the wine choices. I've had "Gourmet" Thai for over twice the price, with a marginal difference- I'd go with Thai District every time as my choice.
Cozy thai restaurant in downtown. The food was tasty and the service was excellent.
The best what can I say. The reviews don’t lie. The vibes are very cute and nice for a date. The food is delicious and never disappoints. I love the mango sticky rice dessert!
Food taste great.
Met a friend for dinner at this restaurant, and it didn't disappoint. The food was amazing, and the atmosphere was astonishing. Also, there's a peach beer that is easy on the palate and not hoppy at all. To me, it was more like an ol' school wine cooler (Bartles and James) 😆. Nonetheless, it was good.
Amazing Thai food, very good service and great atmosphere. They have an outdoor seating area at the corner.
The food was good. A little bit salty on the pot stickers. The rolls were good. The best was the dessert, sticky rice mango.
The service was good, and Eric and the others took good care of us. Ask for menus because the file is 15mb to load on your phone.
Loved the atmosphere of the place. We sat upstairs near the window.
Gutes Essen. Frisch zubereitet.
Das Menu ist eher klein aber die Auswahl ist gut
Das beste Thai Food, dass ich außerhalb Thailands bisher gegessen habe! Top!
So our favorite Thai restaurant in Long Beach is Thai District that is located in the downtown area. They have delicious salads & main entrees. We recently went in and went with our waiters recommendation. The pork drunken noodles were outstanding. Located off of Broadway and Linden can make parking a little tough and make sure that you pay the meter to avoid a ticket. We recommend that you go in , enjoy the food and decor.
I love this spot soooo much! Definitely one of my favorite Thai restaurants both for the nice atmosphere inside and for the food. The curries are my favorite and are all super delicious (especially the yellow curry with chicken) and the lychee cocktails are amazing. I love the desserts as well. Their mango sticky rice includes sorbet and it’s not like traditional sticky rice, but it’s all so good!
All the foods were great, excellent. Definitely recommendable and hope to visit again. :)
I usually never leave feedback in regards to my meals, but what an amazing gem we discovered this Sunday for lunch. Service was attentive with great description of the food. All dishes were superbly prepared! We have lived in Southeast Asia, and that was seriously our best Thai food in the USA, by far! I would highly recommend this place to anyone, and have already recommend all my colleagues and friends here. Keep up the amazing work you do! Very well done
Amazing, authentic Thai food. Love the ambiance. Food is stellar and authentic. The Northern cuisine is cooked exactly like in the restaurants I frequented in Chang Rai. The service is absolutely phenomenal! Scott has always treated us like family and has taken customer service above and beyond! This is company's unofficial favorite Spot in LBC and we always make sure to treat our new hires to lunch here! Thank you for being such an integral part of long beach!
Great Thai restaurant with interesting decor. The Thai crispy rolls left a little to be desired, but that's probably because they weren't dripping in oil, so no complaints. I had the red curry - which is available vegetarian without fish sauce on request - and it was as good as at my favorite restaurant back home in Saint Paul, MN. I also had their house hot sake, which was certainly up to par.
Service was a little slow, perhaps because we showed up a few minutes after they opened. Overall I'd highly recommend.
Great place. Amazing food.
Started with the Golden Bags, then enjoyed the Garlic & Pepper Sauteed Chicken with, garlic two-way, baby spinach. Super delicious!
Tofu yellow curry and spicy fried rice were good
