This has to be one of the best Thai restaurants. I've frequent this location since 2001. During my second trimester, I ate here 3 times a week. The flavors are simply amazing. Food is always delicious. They have amazing lunch specials 😋. Excellent customer service. My favorite dishes are the Tom Yum Goong, Basil fried rice, Garlic chicken and all the variety of fried rice dishes. Give them a try.

The feminem young man, cashier/ waiter was very on edge and rude, constantly had to ask for items that should have been provided (plates, sauces). Dishes were semi slammed in our table and you can sence attitude, overall was not a pleasent experience. Food used to be good before the remodle, soup was sweet (used to have a sour delicious tangy flavor) beef meat in entrees were hard to chew. Aside from this the interior was nice, however customer service and food quality did not consist with my past experience in this location.

Food portion was big. Price is good. I got the special combo, salmon plate. Salmon was cooked right and so was the broccoli. Rice portion was huge and yummy.

Lunch bbq chicken special was yummy. There were a couple harassing flies at our table because they had the front door open which also made it rather warm in the dining area.

Really good atmosphere and food. Affordable and tasty.

Inconsistent portions, entrees were cold, employees were eating as they were prepping, flavor that stood out the most was sweetness. Came short of any expectations.

Delicious food. Friendly service. We had the yellow curry (mild), green curry (medium spice), pad see ew, and extra rice for $55 plus tip.

Long Beach’s favorite “secret” place for Thai. It’s good and less expensively than others. The pad Thai., satay, and Tom Kha Kai is delicious. Food is good servings and warm upon delivery if ordering directly from Thai BBQ. A “secret” fan for 12 years

Absolutely incredible food. This might be my favorite restaurant in all of Southern California. S1 S2 and crab rangoons are incredible. Panang curry is also amazing. Not a great place to sit and eat but perfect for take out.

The food was delicious, and the servers were very gracious toward our party of 8. And really, the food was so, so good. Even the picky eaters were happy!
Also the waitress had a whole conversation with me about our dogs while helping to box up our stuff, so great of her!

Yum! Pleasantly surprised by the food here. The BBQ chicken was DELICIOUS. We would definitely get it again. The Tom Kha Gai soup was so tasty. You can choose your spice level which I appreciated. We also got the pineapple fried rice which needed a bit of salt but adding soy sauce made it perfect.

WOW! I literally live 5 min away from this place and haven't been till yesterday! I got the BBQ chicken with fried rice and it was DELICIOUS! I would highly recommend it!

Amazing love the variety of dishes, enjoyed there tum yum soup hits the spot on these cold nights, prices are reasonable as you can share a plate with about 3 ppl, highly recommend them.

This place is definitely not the same compared to how it use to be in the early/mid 2000s. The food quality is terrible now. I ordered The Gulf of Siam it was overly sweet and the fish was over cooked taste like rubber. I was bummed because in the past this dish was always my go to meal. So I gave a break decided to order from them again few months later I ordered the same dish + the fried spring rolls. Smh the gulf of Siam was terrible again. It was not spicy at all per my request and on top of that my spring rolls had a piece of hair fried into the spring roll. The hair was actually fried into the egg roll shell. That was the last straw for me. I will never order from this place again even after giving them a second chance. I don’t know if it’s still the same owners or not but the food quality is trash now. The female cashier was also not friendly. Special thanks to workers who worked there during the early 2000s the food was good back then. But it’s definitely not worth paying for now. You guys should be ashamed

I prefer the ladies to cook my food because everytime the men cook it it's pretty nasty. Not all the way cooked. Overall, it's ok but not as good years ago.

Got yellow curry with chicken and the chicken in the curry was entirely raw. The RAW chicken made my entire meal inedible. I do not recommend this location if this is food they’re okay with serving.

2 and 1/2 stars, The staff is very nice, restaurant comfortable. Food is not horrible, but just passable, you know it is Thai food but nothing special. Good shrimps and broccoli, egg rolls are mush, sauces are pure salt, peanut sauce and cube sauce are passable.

This is a neighborhood gem...I have food from here often and it's always delicious. The chicken satay and Thai beef jerky are my favorites...their pad Thai is also very good. *you can walk in, order, and be happily munching in 15-20 minutes...yes, it's fresh, they're fast!

Original Thai BBQ is always on point...never disappointing. I got the combo S8 this time. This meal is large enough for 2 people. Comes with 8 satay (beef or chicken or both) with a large portion of fried rice and shrimp.

The appetizers were ok and very typical. The shrimp was disgusting though and I threw all but one away! They use cheap low grade shrimp and don’t even clean the poop. The only one I ate had squishy muddy texture because I was literally EATING POOP! They are the small to medium size shrimp btw. I feel bad leaving a bad review, especially during a pandemic, but I can’t get over how disappointed I am. I would have rather eaten cat food at this point. Yuck!

This is the place that I usually eat at on numerous occasions I get the same thing shrimp fried rice and their rib plate an experience is usually fine well today October 18th 2020 at about 12:30 p.m. I want to get lunch and there was some mix up with my order and what I received was a rib lunch and with that part The taste was pretty much normal I'll give that like a four except it was mostly bone the second part of my order was something I did not order which was battered shrimp or as I found out later it was sweet and sour shrimp with a side bowl of pineapple mostly pineapple in some sauce some sweet and sour sauce a box of rice and this is not my order I called the lady back after arriving at my work and tried to explain her to mix up in my order not in the hopes of getting my money back or receiving an extra meal just in the fact that it was mixed up and my coworker said I should call the lady immediately was mean very aggressive on the phone telling me she knows that I ordered she remember me and this is what I ordered I did not argue with the lady I immediately hung up the phone I will not be eating at this restaurant again it's one thing to get my order mixed up it's another thing to be mean on the phone the overall experience with the taste of the batter shrimp cuz I end up eating it cuz my money was spent this is the $25 meal there was very little shrimp large chunks of pancake batter and a pineapple syrup disgusting the ribs I give a four the shrimp pineapple sweet and sour a -4

This was my first time eating from here, but I really wanted some Thai food, and Thai Charcoal Pit closed. After searching high and low, giving up, and coming back, I found Thai Barbecue. I ordered the S. Combo, the teriyaki salmon, yellow curry with tofu, and pad thai with tofu. The chicken in the S. Combo fell off the bone. My mom and sister loved the chicken and ribs. The salmon was so good, and you taste the smokey flavor from it being grilled. The yellow curry had the perfect amount of sweetness with the spicy. The shrimp fried rice was really good. The sauces they provided were all really good, and complemented their dishes perfectly. The pad thai was the perfect spicy. I absolutely love my pad thai to be spicy, and it was perfect. I'll be ordering from them more often, for sure.

tl;dr: they lied about the sizes offered for curry, and charging me full price for the smaller lunch special and they use their bare hands to handle food they serve to customers

After ordering from here every weekend for 2 months, I lowered my score from 5 to 3 stars. I was lied to and overcharged. One week, I ordered during the time they have lunch specials, but I did not order the lunch size curry. They gave me the lunch size green curry for full price. When I called to inform them, they corrected it. They did it again the next week, but this time I had picked up my order instead of having it delivered. When I got back to the restaurant, a male employee who was also the one who delivers, lied to me, as if I had not been ordering curry every week for like 4 or 5 weeks. He told me the size I got was the correct size, and that the larger size was only for the yellow curry because it had potatoes and carrots in it. I had ordered a green curry that had bamboo shoots and peppers in it--way more things than a poorly diced potatoe and carrot. The next week I ordered a yellow curry instead, and my mom ordered a green curry. Thisntimenwe ordered after thenluch special time. The green curry was in the large container, and has been each time after we've ordered. Today, 7/11/2020, I went to pick up my order, and a women was scooping honey MUSTARD dressing from a bowl into a squeeze container WITH HER BARE HANDS. There are far more germs in the world than just corona virus that can be spread through poor food management.

The soup I ordered was supposed to be served with coconut milk and it wasn’t, I also ordered it spicy and it did not have any spice in it at all it was extremely sour, & lastly the sticky rice was extremely hard and you could barely take it apart. The only thing I liked was the nice DoorDash driver & the Thai tea

This place has always been my go to Thai place. Food is delicious. It was recently renovated and I think management might have changed, but food is still as delicious as always. Employees are always very friendly.

I believe I wrote a review before of this place having THE BEST pineapple fried rice in all Long Beach. Well, today I ordered through Postmates after a while being abroad this was all I wanted to have but I didn’t review my order as it was default since I’ve always ordered the same (default or suggested items) and it Ended up going as a VERY SPICY order... well I’m a Colombian who’s not used to spicy food.. thank God once I called and explained them how my order went wrong they allowed me to come in and they changed my food for non spicy option of my favorite two items that I had originally ordered, as much as I was ashamed I was greatful, they gave me twice the same order and didn’t charge me again, I returned my very spicy order, for that reason I thought they deserve a very nice review and the promise I will always order from them, love this place, thank you so much!

I've ordered from Thai BBQ a number of times and have constantly been let down. Don't get me wrong the food is fantastic and I have never had an issue with that. Everytime I have ordered, without fail, they deliver the wrong items. I always have to call to have them remake the proper dish and wait another 30-40 min for delivery. Tonight was the third and final time I order from Thai BBQ, it's one thing to make a mistake once but, to make the same mistake repeatedly is just poor service.
