Food was good, but I didn't care for the seafood tom yum soup. There wasn't much seafood and one mussel. Other than that everything else was good. Service was great and the place is a nice size and clean. Kinda hard to see, but you'd park in the back.

Hands down the best Thai I’ve had in 20 years! Plan to make this a frequent spot. I highly recommend the steamed dumplings, coconut shrimp soup, pineapple fried rice and the mango sticky rice. Oh how I love mango sticky rice! Oh and the Thai tea was delicious and a good portion. Some places give too small of a cup. Not at Happy Thai. Just the right amount. Can’t wait to come back.

The look of the place is a bit outdated but don’t let that fool you. I order a hot and spicy chicken sup, It was outstanding. A very delicious sup. This sup really made my tummy happy. Service was good.

Been coming here for many years. This is their new location and name they used to be Khun Dum (seriously!). Their food is amazing. I usually get vegetable panang curry and it's pretty much the best panang curry I've ever had! Another item that is a must have is the jerky beef... so so good nice and chewy with a spicy sauce on the side... yum yum. Service is wonderful too. This time, my co-workers got the chopsuy, the cashew chicken and the orange chicken... all of which are more Chinese than Thai and I would discourage you to order. If you go to a Thai restaurant, order Thai food right? Specially when it's this good!

While I haven't had the opportunity to dine in (yet), l've been able to order for pickup on several occasions.

Every time I call in, I get a friendly voice on the other side of the phone. They take my order, give me an estimated time for pick up and I'm there.

Their time estimates are on point as my order's usually ready by the time l arrive but on the very few times it's not; it's usually ready in no more than a couple of minutes.

Everything I've had is tasty but typically I alternate between the Pad Thai and the Pad See Ew depending on my mood. Sometimes I’m feeling a little wild and I get both. Thai food makes for some of the best leftovers so no regrets. Everything is cooked to perfection and as expected with Thai food, very flavorful.

They even have desert if you have a sweet tooth, it's hard to go wrong with their mango sticky rice... that is unless you don't like mango, rice or sticky things.

The staff is friendly, the prices and portions are great and best of all, the food is delicious!
If you're in the area and are looking for some good Thai food, Happy Thai is an excellent choice.

Food is actually pretty good but they don’t answer their phones so don’t expect to be able to do an order to go or for pickup. Only thing is they do supply ice teas while waiting. Would have given 5 stars if it was cleanly and easy to order but the lack of customer service for their phones brings it down a star.

We saw the pictures from the reviews, and how good rating it had. This was before covid 19 started, we were seated at the back table where the ceiling was falling and water from the pipes were leaking into the table. We have children, and health is priority. If they don’t have attention to their property What about the food?

Fantastic service, Marissa our server was the sweetest! She was super attentive and has the best attitude. The food was amazing! The flavors are so intense and unique. Each dish I ordered was perfectly prepared and a great portion for two. The atmosphere was very cozy and warm. I will definitely be coming back for more soon!

I canNOT recommend this place enough. We had it once, and, to be perfectly honest, we haven’t been able to, in good conscious, go to any other Thai restaurant.

The food there is something special. The atmosphere is warm, the staff are friendly and attentive, and handled our screaming children with grace and humor.

Happy Thai is honestly the best Thai restaurant in Long Beach. I would 100% recommend! The food taste amazing and the portions are very generous. I’ve been coming to this Thai restaurant since I was a kid and now I bring my own children. Originally they were located on pacific & 20th but moved here a few years ago. It is my go to Thai place, i moved to Riverside 2 years ago and still make the trip here, my favorite is the combination chow mein and their shrimp and mushroom soup spicy with fresh chilis (Tom yum goong) the fried rice is also delicious both regular and spicy.. and you can never go wrong with their Thai tea, it is the best rich and creamy!

Agree with Alex G., the food is passable, but that's it. Biked to Elephant Thai, but it was closed and was so hungry I thought I'd give this place a shot. Looks like a worn out location, old, and in need of cleaning and restoration. I was the only patron, but service was still pretty lackluster - soup came out with entree's and my waitress kept disappearing for extended periods of time, then somehow managed not to notice me turning around, flagging, waving. The food... meh. The Coconut Soup was two basic flavors with rubbery chicken, the Yellow Curry was a weird, bright, yellow and very watery and the rice was mostly sliced jalapeno and a few onions and basil here and there. No chance I'm going back here.

The food is passable at best once you've had good thai food you can really see how nasty other thai food is.

I drove 2 miles to get here. It was closed it says is going to be closed on Wednesday

Delicious food

Although the food was just moderate okay, the staff was very friendly, efficient and attentive. They did try to do what they could but the cashew nut chicken have to cashew nuts on it. When they say it's sprinkled with cashew nuts I guess too makes it plural but not very meaningful considering the price of the dish.
