We also feature rare delicacies such as Salmon and Yellowtail cheek. And our oysters are brought in fresh daily. We have something for everyone.
Celebrated a birthday for a member of our group and had a great lunch at Bai Plu. Great gyoza to start off our meal, we all enjoyed the luncheon specials which were bentos with salmon and one with tempura and a choice of sushi roll with miso soup and a salad. The others got specials with chicken and one with a pork stew like dish and they had an egg roll and rice. We all loved our lunch choices and then our wonderful waitress brought ice cream for the birthday girl and for all of us to dig into. There is always room for ice cream!
Was here a few months ago n enjoyed it enough to come back. The red curry thai snapper was sooo good. We couldnt stop eating it. The sashimi combo 2 had large slices of fish. I have been to other places and served slices half the size. Generous indeed. Check out my pics. The pot stickers were deep fried n crispy. The Red Dragon roll was my fav. Service was excellent. Our server was so nice n friendly. Our party of 3 agreed we would come back. Plenty of parking.
Good:
Huge variety
Good quality sushi
Generous portions
Good service
Full bar!
Meh:
Huge variety (like 15 pages on the menu)
Friend ofine has been telling me about Bai Plu Thai & Sushi bar for the longest time now. Finally got a chance to try it out.
I was a bit leary with the sushi because, in my experience, se sushi joints that don't specialize in sushi usually tend not to have the best quality fish. I was wrong on this count. This fish quality was good, with no fishy smell, so it passes the smell test and taste test.
And also being a Thai restaurant that serves sushi, you never know what the Thai food is going to be like. Verdict: Good. We ended up ordering Pad Se Ew with beef ($16.99), Papaya salad ($14.99), Panang curry with chicken ($15.99), spicy eggplant & basil with chicken ($15.99). Oh, let's not forget about the Mango sticky rice ($14.99).
All delicious and definitely flavors you'd expect from a Thai restaurant.
Service was attentive and quick. Although family friendly, not really built for strollers. But I would definitely come back on the near future.
We used to go to the other branch regularly, but haven't been in a while. We were in this part of town and stopped in for dinner. Cream cheese wontons.. nice to find on menu without crab, served with a sweet and sour sauce with a nice kick. Tamago sushi was typical. Pad see ew wasn't too spicy. We ordered with tofu which ha a peppery aftertaste.
They have added a kitty robot that wanders around. It's cute.
Pick up Order was fast and efficient (they forgot the cutlery tho )
Nice atmosphere
Pad see-ew was ok(just a bit watery)
Food portion was VERY small for a $17 order….pls INCREASE the portions(1.5/5 ⭐️ for the portion) I am still hungry after eating
Good food,but a bit pricy!

Always great food and service. Local go to for sushi and great Asian food.

Supper good sushi!!!
This place had it all from great service to good food and a full bar. Definitely recommend it!
Second time visiting this establishment. Introduced to it by my brother, good food, quiet environment, professional staff as well as polite.
This has been my go to sushi bar for like over 10 years. My family and i absolutely love the food and the service! As long as they are there i will never need another sushi place! My top recommendation to this place!!!
The best restaurante
Loved the Khao Soi noodle soup with blue crab excellent blend of spices for flavor & Deep fried trout fish...Delicious! Try the passion on earth special drink, just the right spike to it. Great table service.
OMG..this place is sooooo good. Everything from the service , the sushi, the noodles, and the dessert! We are coming back asap!
Food was excellent good flavor 😋
First time eating in at this location and was impressed. Service was outstanding in a clean comfortable environment. Food was delicious 😋
There’s free parking!! The restaurant is clean and casual,
The sushi, Thai yellow curry and fried rice were all delicious, they refilled our beverages multiple times and the staff were all really nice. Also they have an entire page of vegetarian sushi options!!!
Bellflower st og resteraunt. We love this place. Always good.
Delicious fresh meal
So good I wish the proportions we bigger.
Good Thai Food!! Clean , but I wish they used fresh meat not frozen or at least defrost it so it's not tough in the panang curry.
I normally wouldn't expect a place that serves BOTH Thai and sushi to do either of them well, but this place seems to be the exception. My wife and I ordered from the Thai menu. Pad See Ew, curry and fried fish. All were great. I can honestly say it's one of the tastier Thai restaurants I've tried recently. Service was super attentive as well.
Now we need to go back and try the sushi...
Sorry it has taken awhile to write this review, I have been a customer for many years and live in the neighborhood. I always enjoy my experiences here at Bai Plu. The owner, the staff (Apple, Cherry, Yo, Ball, Jackie, Mariah, Jimmy, M, Kitchen Chefs, Sushi Chefs) are all friendly, professional, and respectful of their customers. They are so willing to tailor the food-menu to my crazy plant-based diet, and the food is always healthy and delicious for me. The restaurant is clean and the atmosphere is very relaxing. I look forward to my future visits at Bai Plu.
I love their Panang Curry and white rice (separate order) and they are generous with their sushi roll portions.
Chill Thai spot. Love the little robot waiter roaming around
.
So awesome and good. God bless everyone who works there
I had no idea the original owners sold the 7th street location. I came in bc I was sick of how terrible the service was at the 7th street location and I was delighted to find the original staff and owners here!! The food was better and lost importantly the service was! I’ve been eating at their old location ( the one they sold) since I was 5 and I’m 38 now so that speaks for itself. However the 7th street location is no longer owned by them and they will never see me there. This is my new old place to eat lol they’re amazing!
Expensive 3:00 lunch and great food!
No lunch menu that was odd or the waiter was not interested in sharing it with me?
Not much meat included in dishes.
Family eats here alot great Thai place close by
Everything we ordered was so delicious!
Quick and friendly service.
Awesome ambience.
We will return for sure!
Great food at Great prices.
The best Thai food and sushi in Long Beach
My favorite Thai restaurant ever. It has been a while. Just as good as always
looks a little gloomy but great food, excellent service, seems reasonable !
One of the best Thai restaurants I've ever tried!
When I'm craving some sushi I head down to bai plu and order the baked salmon roll, lolly pop roll, and a shrimp tempura roll, there shrimp and seafood soup is delicious, and the waiter are always attentive.
Good place for family style food.
Best rice and salad options for vegetarians.
I was here with a friend for dinner and I had ordered green curry with chicken and no eggplants and bamboo shoots.
The first order that came in was with shrimp and eggplants or bamboo shoots. Clearly they didn’t get the order right!
Then, they got the correct order, but it had a large shrimp skin inside it which I wasn’t aware of. It got stuck with the red bell peppers and it felt disgusting to eat it unknowingly. At the end, when I complained, no action was taken and the bill was completely incorrect. They had charged me for the shrimp and when I told them about it they still didn’t mention the correct amount as per their menu.
Hence, please cross check the amount of each item with the menu.
And the worst of all, I got a severe throat infection later that night and my friend got food poisoning from the soup she ate. We both are in pain and I’m never visiting or recommending this place to anyone again.
Good service
Very glad to have found this place.
Oo
The food is great and the service is excellent. Still excellent. They do an excellent job.
Frist time eating here. The food 🍲 was great.
I will definitely come back when I'm in the area.

Everything is great. But i feel like some dishes are a little overpriced. Even with all the inflation going on.
Delicious food!
Good food. Lunch deals are good. Expensive.
Little pricey but food was good 👍
the staff is absolutely amazing and are always checking in on you, they are so nice!! the food is out of this world amazing, I recommend the yellow curry and seal beach roll!! I go here all the time with my family and tell every friend about them.
They used the cheapest most tasteless nori (sea weed wrap) for the hand roll. It was served last, instead of first. It was so bad I couldn't even chew through it without tugging at the nori. The duck soup broth was over powering, opaque dark brown and very salty. They didn't even bother to loosen the noodles from its knot so it could be evenly cooked. The Thai salad was underwhelming and basically vinegar with raw shredded veggies and a chuck of cabbage on top, strewn with stale whole peanuts and didn't look anything like the photo. Total bill: $41 excluding tip. The table waiter was helpful except for the strange delivery order of the dishes. His associates were obnoxious and kept talking in little groups not far from my table, often loudly, possibly because it was almost 3PM and I was the sole customer. I was placed at a small dark corner table even though the restaurant was near empty when I arrived instead of near the interesting sushi bar or the aquarium.
Super good Thai food! We didn't try the Sushi though so can't speak to that.
Nice place to eat for lunch, very friendly staff, but I wasn’t a huge fan of how they cooked their Thai dishes.
We used to go to the other branch regularly, but haven't been in a while. We were in this part of town and stopped in for dinner. Toro sushi (market price $60/5 slices) but so worth it!!!!
Umai ebi (shrimp) delish
Tom khan seafood soup - yummy
Tim kha Kai chicken
Pineapple fried rice- good
Vegetable sushi roll
Larb
And beef larb ( unedible too salty)
Sticky rice
Thai tea
Everything was amazing apart from the oversalted beef larb.
Going to order sticky rice and mango....
Came here because of the positive reviews. Was seated pretty quickly. Had a few servers who were very persistent within the first 10 minutes but as time went on they came to our table less and less. Waited at least 15 min to flag someone down for the check. The food: sushi roll contained too much rice and lacked flavor, pad thai was very mediocre, chicken satay was very disappointing (very dry chicken with a terrible flavor). The only thing I someone enjoyed was their fried rice.
Everything I had was so flavorful and fresh,
Loved the baked clams and the spicy papaya salad. Everyone was friendly too, will come again :)
Great choice of sushi rolls. Ordered one to go and was disappointed. Same roll as lunch but togo order was half in size.
Ordered pad thaie and chicken fried rice to go for family and they were great.
Lovely sushi bar, great quality
I was very disappointed by the sushi selection....
Love this place- excellent food, great local atmosphere. Izzy is the my friend and love coming to hang out here with him and the crew- aunt Tara, brother Chan, Uncle Alex. Great family business with legit Sushi!
It was my first time here, and I would have to say I’m very impressed by the customer service and the taste of the food. There was some discrepancy in my charges for the online order, but they were nice enough to make it up by giving me some extra food. I believe these days it’s rare to get that type of treatment so I will go back and support them on my next trip to California!
Best food, good service. Not alot of parking. The owner replayed and it's only 6 spots so not a lot ...
I really enjoy the miso soap and their sushi rolls.
Lugar muy tranquilo música suave meseros muy educados
A Very interesting restaurant here. They are a Thai restaurant with a solid sushi bar. The sushi was fresh, with nice cuts. if you thought sushi was already expensive and you also thought Thai food was expensive... Well, guess what it's a multiplayer here. Everything is even more expensive, with high-end gourmet prices at a low-key strip mall location. They do have a very beautiful bar for drinks. I wonder if you can sit there for a pint.
Overall food wasn't bad, but prices were very high. Might visit again.
Food was ok. The owner is super rude
Definitely hit this place up if you are nearby
Ordered take out and delivery, love their food. Since the stay at home orders...let my fingers do the walking. Fresh vegetables were prepared with delicate flavors of spices; a healthier way of eating. Fresh seafood & meat dishes included.
Loved the robot sushi waiter! Look forward to going back there
Love it
3 stars since normally I don’t have a issue. If today was my first time going I would never go back. the food smells and tastes burnt, it COMPLETELY changed the taste of the food( one of my favorites) it’s to far for me to drive back really quick so I made a review
Thai food and sushi. It’s hard to find a place that can do both properly. The service is amazing here and staff are very polite and respectful. Food comes out quick too.
Friendly and nice
Highly recommend the pork leg with chili, garlic, and mint leaves. Very flavorful sauce and tender pork. The bbq chicken was flavorful but a lot of pieces were dry.
This a fusion Thai and Japanese restaurant though it's staffed by Thai people so that side might be more authentic. They've also got a robot delivering some orders so that was pretty neat to see.
I've been here a few times and the food has always been delicious and filling.
Really nice hotpot’s and must go large when you order :)
Was very impressed with the food. So many food options to pick from.
Staff made mother in laws'd birthday feel soo special. Thank you
The tom kha gai (coconut soup) was too salty to eat. The pad thai was too sweet to eat. The spicy tuna roll was ok but did not hold together. Got the order wrong on the first try. But the place was packed on a Sunday night so the locals must like it. Cute robot serving assistant. This review applies to the Bai-Plu on Bellflower Blvd. The Bai-Plu on 7th St. in Long Beach is much better.
Sushi and curry bowls were super good! Also there was a robot delivering our food and we not only found that entertaining, but it seemed to be pretty useful too!
Worst duck ever
I wouldn't be able to recommend one of their plates cause I have tried alot of their dishes and I like them all. I have been coming here for years and I have never been disappointed.
Good food but small portions and expensive...
They have a huge variety of Thai dishes and a really good sushi selection. Their electric eel roll and spicy dragon roll are especially tasty. Also their sticky rice with mango is my favorite dessert there.
La mejor tahi food de long beach
I would 100 percent not recommend it !!!
Unfortunately had Mongolian beef. Meat was over cooked. Boring sauce. Was like a stew and nothing at all that looked like Mongolian beef Really disappointing!!!!
We got our food very quick and it tasted very good.
I ordered deep fried spicy cat fish and other dishes but the problem was my main dish the spicy cat fish. This dish is $16.99, when I got home open the tray it had 2 small pieces of fish and another part of the fish which I can't tell what it is but had no meat on it. Looks like left over parts of the fish. Very upset due to the fact that they would actually serve that.

Good food & friendly staff! ❤️😛 Happens to be my birthday!🎂They sure have a wide variety of foods, both Japanese & Thai. Mmmm yummy! Awesome! 👍✌️😛😸
la comida es deliciosa y muy variada
comida Tailandia deliciosa y buen servicio
Great service always with a Smile! If you want authentic Thai flavor must eat here 😋
Very good,,, sadhu,,,
The sushi was good, however the sticky rice and mango dessert was below par. The plastic film around the pre packaged dessert was found while eating and the rice was solidified so much so that I had to ask for a knife to cut through it.
Bai Plu Thai is a gem of a find. We were visiting family and just wanted a little 'us' time and a change from 'the usual place'. I saw the sign a few doors down and thought 'sure, how about some pad Thai noodles'.
OMG! We walked in on three sushi chefs working and all I could smell was a fresh ocean. We ordered a sashimi platter and pad Thai shrimp. One of the best meals I've had. Next day we brought the rest of the family. I don't think they'll be going back to the burger place next door again.
Food was ok. Got wantons and they weren't fried all the way. The yellow curry with ground chicken was ok.
