I got the original Hainan chicken. Food was served in a to-go container, which kinda takes away from the dine-in experience. Portions were pretty big though.

The sweet sesame sauce and ginger soy sauce wasn’t bad, but it also wasn’t amazing. I think I prefer the traditional Hainan chicken sauces more. The meat was also a little dry.

The chicken was moist and tender, and they give you a lot! The rice was perfectly seasoned with the subtle beauty of ginger and garlic, maybe a hint of green onion. The soup is perfect, it will warm your soul (and fix a hangover). The sauces have nice bold flavors and they don't charge you extra for more if you want it! They set it out on a side table for you to take as you like. The staff is so nice and friendly and genuinely appreciate your business. The best Hainan chicken ive found in southern California.

One poor employee working on her own the night I came in with some friends but she did a great job serving everyone! The amount of chicken they served was substantial! Definitely coming back

5 stars! Our go to order is one fried and one original (each served with choice of steamed or garlic rice and 2 sauces so you get 4 different sauces total) + two boba teas (Thai Tea and Brown Sugar are our favorites but we're working through the list lol) - all super delicious! Order on their website or call ahead for easy pick up. Fast and friendly service always at this local family business. Free street parking right out front or go east on 4th and turn south around the corner.

I love this place! If you've seen it and wondered I suggest you stop in. They used to have 2 items on their menu but now it's more extensive. Salads, different chicken dishes, egg rolls and lots of great teas, coffee and Boba. The environment is fun and relaxing, the staff is friendly and quick but best of all the food is great!

I have many Hainan chicken places in LA n OC. San Gabriel Valley. This place has a very friendly lady works there maybe is owner. Portion was good, chicken is good. Only thing is 1st time this place didn't come with broth ..9 out of 10 places we go to come with clear chicken broth.

While service was a little slow the food was good and employees were nice. I got a rice dish with half steam and half fried chicken and an extra side of garlic rice for the family . It was filling and delicious. Plus, they open until 11pm so it’s a great late night spot too.

The herbal soup is delicious. The Thai style chicken are very tender. I still like the original East Asia style which the chicken is much more tender.

Not sure what to expect from the outside, but the inside is really cute. We walked in and were greeted by a nice Thai lady who took our order. We got the crispy thai chicken and rice and omg, it's simply phenomenal. I was amazed by the crispiness of the chicken which was so flavorful. The chicken in hainan chicken rice is never the highlight for me, but it was definitely an all star here. But the main draw was the garlic rice. It was so amazing and flavorful with the right amount of ginger and garlic. It really is top notch. Definitely recommend coming here and trying the chicken and rice. I also saw a bunch of people come here for boba so maybe it's worth trying that, too.

This is a hidden gem, if you haven’t tried it yet, do yourself a favor and go.

It’s delicious, fresh, the flavors are unique and honestly one of my favorite spots nearby for lunch or dinner.

Very yummy place to get chicken and rice. My family enjoys the crispy fried chicken. The chicken broth is very clean and great to sip on if sick. We highly enjoyed our meals here.

Food is good, portion is massive. I just wish you guys give me less chicken and give me small side of soup serve with the meal instead! $5 for chicken broth is just ridiculous. Hainanese chicken rice suppose to serve with soup, small little one just fine.

This place is very generous with their chicken serving portion! Rice is garlicky and fragrant. Be aware that their steamed chicken rice is Thai not Singaporean, the biggest difference mainly stemming from the accompanying sauces. Super fast service and very friendly people.

I wonder how much dog hair you find in your food? This place allows dogs inside their restaurant. I was going to try this place out but decided not to when I saw a dog in the restaurant. Here's the thing, I called the restaurant and told them I would not come in there with the dog in there and they allowed the dog to stay.

I ordered the chicken plate with a side of broth and BRO. IT CURED ME. I have a cold and the broth l i t e r a l l y cured my cough instantly. Besides for that it was velvety rich and smooth, golden in color and full bodied. The perfect amount of salt, umami and so aromatic. I was dipping my chicken in it but tbh I was mostly just drinking it straight. This broth is ride or die y'all AND ITS $4

So happy Taishi Hainan Chicken has their own location now! I've been ordering from them for over a year. I ordered online and was thrilled when I realized it was a new pickup location. Absolutely delicious! We ordered their popular Hainan Chicken and Fried Hainan Chicken. They both came with a ginger sauce, but the original got a sesame sauce and the fried one one got white sauce. Both good, but the portions were really good too. We recommend ordering from their app or website, to avoid the wait, and go pick up from their "lockers" (the are no locks on then). This is part of the Daisy Dinner dining pick up business that you can buy other food from as well.

The fried version was okay, but I wasn't blown away. I'll try the poached one next.

Ever since feasting my eyes on hainan chicken rice on the travel channel I knew I wanted to try it but the steps to make it put me off, so I recently discovered about this place and decided to try it and it was everything and more I thought about the dish, thank you for bringing this to Long Beach, the chicken had so much flavor with the sauces on top of it, the spice just right and the rice was cooked to perfection. I’m happy knowing I’ve finally tried the dish I’ve always wanted to try.

I really enjoyed both versions of the chicken. The dumplings were truly flavorful and outstanding as well. The rice was in a word perfect. The chicken soup clearly was well and attentively made.

The portions were more than generous. 2 entrees 2 apps would easily feed four people.

I’ll definitely be coming back here often.
