Casual Thai bistro with a warm vibe offering traditional entrees, along with beer & wine.
The food presentation was lovely. And the food was delicious. The salmon wrapped in banana leaves was perfect- creamy and flaky. Perfect keto item. Spring rolls were crispy. The brown rice was unusual. Great nutty flavor. My glass of wine was more like half a bottle of wine
Great food! The Panang curry, Spring rolls and Satay were well presented and delicious!
The ambience can be better. It looks dated and seems like it needs some work. Itβs situated in its own little corner with nice window views in the night.
I would definitely go back to try more food from this restaurant!
I work around the corner so decided to order lunch for pick up. I ordered the Panang Curry (Spicy) with white rice. The food was ready very fast and the packaging was excellent. Temperature was perfect and the flavors amazing. The curry had a beautiful velvety texture with lots of meat (chicken) and veggies. The flavor of basil was strong and beautiful. The spice level was perfect. The rice was cooked nicely and the two were great together. I would definitely go back and take family and friends.
Update 08.05.2022
Second time ordering today so I picked L Kee Mow which is wide noodle dish with chicken, basil, carrots and tomatoes. I selected spicy level.
Absolutely beautiful and delicious. Picked it up still very hot and fresh. The spice level is was perfect and all ingredients fresh. I may just have a new favorite.
Stopped by for a late lunch on a workday. The food had plenty of flavor and comparable with similar Thai restaurants. Service was a bit slow since there was only one server for the entire restaurant. Outdoor seating got a bit sweltering and parking can be a bit hard to find in this area.
Tried their coconut based pork soup, chicken basil fried rice and special salmon entrΓ©e. The salmon entrΓ©e was the star. The other dishes were very delicious as well. Definitely recommend this restaurant. Great service as well. Donβt forget to try the Thai iced coffee on a hot summer !
Pathetic service and very arrogant ladies who were serving food.. I wouldnβt recommend this place as there are much better Thai restaurants around Livermore and Pleasanton area!!
Iβm giving one star for service due to my disappointing experience with the ladies at the front desk. They were not welcoming and came across as quite arrogant, which really affected my visit.
The food was good, but unfortunately, the poor customer service makes me hesitant to return!!
I ordered a pineapple fried rice, The taste is good.
Tastiest thai food among all thai food restaurants in the trivalley!!!!
Great tasting Thai food, brings back memories from my days visiting Thailand. My go-to for Thai food.
Good vegetarian food.
Lemon Grass in downtown Livermore offers a decent dining experience with food that is overall satisfactory. The dishes are flavorful, but where the restaurant falls short is in the portion size of their sides, particularly the rice. While Iβm fine with paying $4 for a side of rice, the portion served is quite underwhelmingβliterally equivalent to just 2-3 tablespoons. It feels insufficient, especially when rice is a staple component for many of their dishes.
If youβre looking for a good meal, Lemon Grass can deliver in terms of taste, but be prepared for the potential disappointment of small portions, particularly when it comes to the rice. For the price, the quantity should definitely be more generous.
Overall, the food is enjoyable, but the value for money when it comes to sides could be improved.
Every time while in Livermore, this is a stop!
Great Thai food. Very flavorful. Good service
Our family had a very bad experience at this place. It was a hot day and we asked to sit inside. Inside was extremely hot and damp weather with no AC.
The food quality was awful. I ordered Tom Yam and they charged us extra $5 to add shrimp (only 4 shrimps in the soup) and it was lowest quality Tom Yam Iβve ever had. We also ordered two more noodle dishes that we didnβt like. Food was greasy and too much sweet. All four of us felt sick after.
Curry was very good.
One of our favorite Thai restaurant if we are in Livermore.
Loved their Tom-yum soup, Chicken basil fried rice, Special Salmon/Prawn and Pad Thai . As its in Livermore downtown, usually much waiting time to get a table if going dinner over weekends. Sorry to say but staffs are not that friendly. Little pricey but depend on the location, can't expect less.
Great food! The Panang curry, Spring rolls and Satay were well presented and delicious!
The ambience can be better. It looks dated and seems like it needs some work. Itβs situated in its own little corner with nice window views in the night.
I would definitely go back to try more food from this restaurant!
Wonderful Thai cuisine. The best in the valley.
Overpriced
Great atmosphere and good Thai food.
Good food. Efficient and friendly staff. It's a nice place to eat out with family or friends.
No flavor. All filler :(
This place is probably the worst Thai food in Livermore there are 3 better places top of mind curry was watery, the pad Thai noodles chewy and overcooked. The pricing is weird too. You pay for side of rice 4 dollars? Wild! just charge more and incorporate it in price 4 dollar sprite, again chill but itβs a can with no refills? If the food was good trust me Iβm happy to pay for that stuff but itβs gross when the curry shows up cold and is microwaved.
Pricey but excellent
Iβm not sure how or why this place has such high marks. The authenticity of the food was nonexistent and even so the flavor was not good at all. I left a cash tip and they added an additional $7 to our bill (we were a party of two). Shady and bad food. We will not be returning.
Great place to dine in with your partner, good food and atmosphere.
Stopped by for dinner while on the way back from the trip. Very tasty food. We ordered Tom-yum soup, yellow curry, basil fried rice, pineapple fried rice and vegetable spring roll.
Everything we ordered were super tasty specially vegetable spring rolls and Pineapple fried rice were so so yummy that I will come back for this dish again.
Service was bit slow as there were less folks to serve but its ok since it was thanksgiving week.
Good presentations and flavors.
The food was barely ok. There was just one server during busy lunch hour, so everything took a very long time. Not worth coming back.
Got the Tom Yum, yellow curry and the crab fried rice. Crab fried rice was great. Tom yum soup was good and correct mix of sour and sweet. The yellow curry was exceptionally sweet and tasted very sugary, not good since the sweetness was masking any good flavors. Ambience is ok, some table lamps are a bit too low and I hit my head on one while getting up from the table. Overall ok place.
My girlfriend and I stopped here, and it was a great choice! The restaurant has a nice chill vibe. The waitress was nice and the yellow curry with tofu was deliciousπ
Good food and good service
I have yet to eat at this restaurant, so Iβm not too sure about the atmosphere. I have ordered takeout twice from this place and let me tell you that the pineapple tofu fried rice is unbelievably amazing! You also have to try the yellow curry.
Can someone pull me up their tipping policy?? Gawwwleee yo. Yβall struggling that bad for a tip you gotta chase a kid to ask if weβre tipping? MINDBLOWN. Lol sorry I donβt review often but that was new to me and my friends. Such a low standard. How about you charge more for your mediocre meals. Your Thai tea was watered down, and your beef wasnt seasoned. Come to Merced for some real Thai food.
We had their drunken noodle with tofu and beef. It was so yum π€€
Everything we ordered was tasty and the outdoor seating ambience was amazing. The only thing that was not too great was the waiters taking too long to address any request, maybe they were short staffed or maybe it was because it was almost closing time but we waited too long for every request.
Let's talk about the food we ordered:
β€οΈ Roti with green curry sauce - this was just amazing, definitely must try, perfectly crisp and soft bread with great green curry sauce
π Tofu Krob was interesting, it was very crispy as expected from its description, the sauce in which it comes is sweet. You should try if you are looking for something different than the regular spring rolls or pot stickers
π Pineapple fried rice was delicious except for the insane amount of raisins they put in it. I really liked it but the excessive raisins were annoying
π Red curry was rightly sweet and spicy. I loved that their curry was thick and not runny
Foods are too salty β¦. Too sweet β¦. But big portion.
Delicious! Highly recommended! Everything was very fresh and tasty... no heaviness with this food. Very well prepared.
Great food and awesome service!
Amazing food! Delicious and authentic. Atmosphere is warm and welcoming as well. Clean, but I wish they had bigger chopsticks. πβ€οΈ
I loveee this place. One of my favs in Livermore downtown. The roti with thai green curry is a must try appetizer. Pad thai and yellow curry are also yummy. They have outdoor and indoor seats. Outdoor seating has a great Livermore downtown vibe on weekends.
Dirty and Dissatisfied. This place used to be so good. Ate here for the first time in about 10 years as I now live out of state, and I was very disappointed. I don't think the place has been thoroughly cleaned in those 10 years. We were sat near the front window and the framed photo next to my head had a ton of dust on it, and our suspended light over the table had hair on it. My meal was extremely oily ; my wife overall liked hers. I spent 2 weeks in the bay area and this was the most disappointed meal I had the entire trip, which was over 50 meals. I eat Thai food about once a week, so it's not the fact I dislike Thai food, it was the fact I didnt like this place. Place needs to be cleaned extensively. They may have won awards 20 years ago, but it's gone downhill.
So, sorry to have to write this, but I got and was looking forward to the soup (coconut lemongrass prawn,
tom kha ) and it was exceedingly sweet, and had only mushrooms (often it will have some veg mix), the flavor was almost there but not sure why it was that sweet, unable to eat it and waste of money unfortunately, maybe they had an off night
This place used to be wonderful. Over the years the quality of food and service have deteriorated immensely. Wouldnβt waste my time or money anymore here. There are much better choices nearby.
amazing food
Just so so
Weβre new to town and were looking for a new Thai spot. This place hit all the high notes: amazing flavors and great presentation!
Wife and I have enjoyed eating at Lemongrass for years and it's become our favorite restaurant in downtown Livermore.
Iβd like to start by saying that the food here was good indeed. However there were major problems with the service and the ambience.
This was our first time here. Although we were courteous throughout our time, the waitress did not seem to be happy to serve us. She didnβt seem to like us asking her to replace the plates that were dirty. Every time she gave something to our table it was almost like she was throwing things onto our table rather than keeping them. Not sure why she did not seem to like us. She seemed nicer to other tables. This was obvious because of some behavioral changes like saying βthank youβ, smiling and the way she kept things on the other tables.
She was chopping vegetables on one of the tables during service. So there was a constant noise of chopping throughout. Thought his was unprofessional at a restaurant like this.
Now, the last problem we had here was with flies. It has some serious fly infestation. We had to keep shooing the flies away while we ate. They have a fly trap set (attached a picture) however itβs not very helpful.
Food is really good.
They don't have enough people to serve all customers. Some were waiting several minutes to be sit.
Enjoy the mixed menu. Have had almost every appetizer and have always left full and happy. Try the chicken satay. It's spot on good
Always enjoyed the food here, friendly staff, easy parking.
Great location in beautiful downtown Livermore. Place was quite full, took a little while to get our order taken & then to receive food. Average portion size, yellow curry was spicy & delicious. Rice is a la carte. Tofu dishes available for vegetarians & vegans. Server was able to tell us what dishes did not have animal products, which we appreciated. Pad Thai was excellent. Green curry was so-so. Overall a nice meal.
Stopped by for a late lunch on a workday. The food had plenty of flavor and comparable with similar Thai restaurants. Service was a bit slow since there was only one server for the entire restaurant. Outdoor seating got a bit sweltering and parking can be a bit hard to find in this area.
Ambiance and service is good but food was ok. Pad Thai too sweet and basil rice very little basil and overall not very flavor full.
Eating there was an excellent time. A perfect way to enjoy a meal with friends or a special woman!!
Great food, fast service, and good size portion. Have to try the Curry itβs delicious π
Enjoyed a wonderful dinner with friends. Drunken noodles with basil was a nice surprise. Spicey prawns were tasty and the cashew chicken was good as well. Oh, they serve Wente wine and a selection of beers. I recommend enjoying the meal outside. They need a way to keep the pesky flies away!
I did not expect the medium spice level to still be so hot. Otherwise the spring rolls and especially the prawn salad were great. Would only recommend it at the mild level. The atmosphere is laidback, the decor is pretty, and the location is nice (but for the parking).
Nice place to eat
Good flavors with lots of different plates to choose from. Thai ownership. Food taste fresh. Nice atmosphere for families and couples. Outdoor seating available with some tables in the shade. Service is relatively quick.
Street parking in the front or shared parking lot in rear. Street parking are difficult to find during lunch and dinner time.
Delish
Heaven on a platter lamb curry shared with date who said she would not like it but she did and man are those girls on staff so special I'm in love
Authentic Thai food at its best, everything was good out of four entrees and great service also. Will return!
I had pad Thai, and it was very yummy.
Food was awesome
A great Thai place when you're in Livermore to stop by and have some delicious aesthetic Thai food.
Pot stickers are really good, Thai fried rice too. The yellow curry has too much curry powder and so the 4 stars. Overall, worth visiting again.
Tea was very good , Pad Thai tasted delicious and in pineapple fried rice only few pieces of pineapple , could have added more other than that service and food was good.
Exelente chiken BBQ.
We door-dashed from Lemongrass Thai yesterday. We got the noodles, some fresh spring rolls, and red thai curry. Every item was flavorful, spice-level as requested, and modified as requested!
The portion sizes are generous and the contents are high quality and fresh. The noodles dish was cooked to perfection. The red curry was creamy and extremely flavorful. One thing we noticed was lesser choice of veggies. Typically I see more mushrooms, more broccoli..
We are glad we tried to doordash from Lemongrass. Now we know we have a solid Thai option in beautiful Livermore.
Impromptu plan resorted us to dine in at this restaurant. Was quite impressed with the portion sizes & overall taste of the dishes. Will definitely revisit this place whenever I am in the area.
The yellow lamb curry was delicious π
Poor quality food. Won't be going back.
Its the Bomb!!
Excellent food as always.
Did a party order. The food was awesome. Very fresh and tasty. The fresh rolls are amazing.
Good experience overall. Give 4 star bcos food came after an hour. Didn't like Trout fish
Love the minced basil chicken! Reasonable prices for large quantities of food.
Very good taste. Had to wait for some time but it was worth it.
I was here twice during my time in the area. Both times were great. Fresh rolls were my favorite. The added avocado made them even more delicious. Second time I was here, I felt too full for my entree so I asked for it to go. Server thought it was because they werenβt fast enough, but I explained that it was just me. Server still apologized and offered me an iced coffee, which was great since I was getting on the road for quite the drive. The restaurant is in a lovely environment - right down town. Plenty of outdoor seating. Free parking in the large lot behind. Lots of other businesses around. Cute area to explore while in town.
Restaurant is so slow
Very tasty food. Good service too. Only gripe is that my wife and I were swatting at flies the entire meal sitting just outside of their front door. Other outside restaurants didn't seem to have that problem.
Great food!
We order regularly and they are consistent. Once had order issue but they gave me credit and were very nice to me.
Good food at a reasonable price
Wonderful down town location!
Great service, food was surprisingly delightful.
The food at this place is very nice. Iβm cutting all stars mainly because we ordered panang curry and it doesnβt come with rice. We generally order separate rice but this time we did a carry out and forgot to order separate white rice. But who serves panang curry without a freaking rice?? This was very weird for me. I donβt have an issue to pay extra for the rice but it would have been nice for the server to atleast ask if we want to order some white rice. Would have given 5 stars!!!
Chicken noodle soup rocks!
Delicious food, friendly staff. Properly handling covid restrictions
Love the food and drinks. Never a bad meal
Great food
Bad service, went with my wife waiter was so rude he asked me what you want me do when the white rice came 20 mins late after the main dish was brought in
Pepper garlic pork is delicious! Friendly staff and fast service.
I've been coming here for years, so it is about time I do a review.
1. two ways to look at menus: on the window (assuming no one is standing there) or scan the QR code on the table
2. go to the order table setup by the door with your mask on and order your food
3. Pick your table and wait patiently. :)
4. Food will arrive in throwaway containers
5. Enjoy your meal and drinks
6. Bus your own table and toss it in the bins setup for recycle and trash :)
Last night's food: Tom Kha (on the sweet side, so I just added chili); Roti with Green Curry (delish! buttery too!)
Food is always solid here: my favs: Green curry, some of the best in the area, pad kee mao, penang fish and thai iced tea.
Great food, quick service.
Very delicious!
Acknowledging this is a review shortly after the COVID-19 shut down and take it as "under the circumstances"
Food: the Vegetable Spring Roll and theThai Yellow Curry with Vegetables Spicy were both one of the better ones I have had in a long time, and I have had a lot. So 5+/5 stars for this one. Kudos to the kitchen staff. Amazing freshness and flavors.
The pad ke ma was bland, and I don't know why that happened. Something was just forgotten.3/5
Overall, the vegetables were sparse in all dishes and each side order of Rice was equivalent to a typical half order. 1/5 stars
Service: when the food was served, there were no spoons to serve the dish, and by the time they brought the spoons to serve the food, it had gotten slightly cold. Hesitantly 1/5 stars
Taste good but it doesn't seem like customer oriented though.
Excellent food. Nice interiors. Downtown Livermore. Good location.
Great food and staff.
Nice place right in the Main Street in downtown. Had some nice Thai classics. Good food, good service.
We ordered a curry and two salads. We got our food in less than 5 minutesβwow! I had the green bean salad which was highly flavorful and absolutely amazing. This restaurant has outstanding service and delicious food! Highly recommend!
Great food for good prices. Really good Riesling too.
I loved their food, been here once for lunch and loved their red curry. They get quite busy during weekday lunch so be prepared to wait for a bit to get a table. Highly recommended for food, very authentic tasting.
The food, the service, the staff.
Very reliable Thai and located at a nice spot indeed.
Great food!!
Excellent food, great service
