At King of Thai Cuisine, we're not just a restaurant, we're a portal to the vibrant heart of Thailand. We bring the authentic flavors and warmth of Thai cuisine straight to your table, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients and generations-old family recipes. We wanted to create a space where everyone could experience the joy of traditional Thai cuisine.
Great new Thai place! This location on Girard has been a few different Thai restaurants, but this is the best one yet. It has a very nice atmosphere on the patio and inside. It's relaxed but still seems elegant in a Thai sort of way.
We had the fresh spring rolls with tofu and they were some of the best I've ever had. Anywhere! Totally fresh and vegan, don't miss them. Nice peanut sauce and a complete spice tray let's you enjoy it the way you want.
Our mains were pumpkin curry and tofu soup. Both were excellent, the pictures tell the story. The curry had lots of pumpkin and the sauce was nice. The tofu came fried, and I think it would have been better soft. Be aware that this spice level is very low, much milder than you'd expect. I ordered it 4 out of 10 and there was hardly any real zing to it. Don't order less than a 5 if you're after authentic flavor. And if you really like spicy dishes you should go an 8 or higher.
Their menu notes the vegan dishes and I noticed the red curry didn't show it. It turns out that it uses fish sauce and they let me substitute the yellow curry which doesn't have it. The service was super nice be well informed and flexible.
They have Singha and a decent beer selection. It's really a great place to eat in SD.
Super cute restaurant with great service and ambiance. We really enjoyed the satay chicken as an appetizer. It was very tender and full of flavor. The duck fried rice and kapow thai Kai Dow dishes were fantastic. We ordered the fried banana with ice cream for dessert - highly recommend!!
Came here on a chill Sunday afternoon, no crowd which is quite shocking cuz this place is FIRE!
We ordered the appetizer platter which was perfect for 2 hungry folks who can't decide which appetizer to get! We get one of each of most of the appetizer ♡
For our entree, we got the pad cha (whole fish); now if you're american and don't know how to eat fish but want to try it, this is perfect for you cuz 1) it's delicious 2) fish meat is already cut up for you (fish head and body is just there for practically aesthetic purpose) although for someone who eats fish all the time, it was extra great cuz I tend to eat the crispy parts + bones
For dessert, we went for the classy mango sticky rice cuz duhh why not it's fire.
One of my friends recommended me to visit King of Thai Cuisine for some Thai food while visiting La Jolla Cove in San Diego. After checking out their website, I was tempted by their menu. The pictures on their website looked beautiful and delicious and was the deciding factor for me to give the place a try. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the friendly owners and staff. The atmosphere was well decorated, very clean and beautiful. We tried a variety of foods and it was an overall good experience with delicious food, leaving my craving for Thai food satisfied.
Incredible cashew nut chicken. Everything tasted fresh and a great variety of vegetables in the dish. Staff are extremely friendly and cordial. I will be back for some more amazing Thai food!

2大2小,四個人點了泰式炒飯、綠咖喱、炸天婦羅、炸豆腐、冬陰湯$76。很推薦這裏的餐點很好吃價格合理,每道菜小孩都吃的很開心,服務生也很親切。
Yum!
Average Thai fare, skeleton staff increased wait times for food. Friendly staff, though overworked.
Excellent menu selection, great staff, and great happy hour specials for food and drink. Also a great deal with generous portions (had leftovers to take home).
A nice Thai restaurant in la Jolla and will visit again .

Supreme quality.
Ordered the vegetable red curry.
Default heat starts at 2 .
10 is max.
I get a 4.
Perfectly balanced.
Better than most restaurants in Thailand.
Great food and service here located on a popular street in La Jolla. Dined in their outside area with our dog and had no issues. Even brought some iced water for our dog as well
Hours are wrong on Google Maps!
I've eaten Thai food for a while for at least past 10 years in La Jolla so far I eat the best fried rice ever here , thank you chef great job Ann.
The menu is a total gem of Thai cuisine taken in directions not normally seen in this region, where Thai food reigns supreme. The service is prompt, minimalist, and helpful. The indoor space was excellent , with clean lines and furnishings, well maintained, You won't be disappointed!
Same owners as the mission gorge rd. Great to have some good food in the La Jolla area. Will be coming back for more. Love this place. Aroy was a pleasure to see.

Yellow Currey and Tom Ka were excellent with good cuts of beef and pork. Tom Ka fish also very good.
Wonderful place. Great food with amazing service and atmosphere.
Great La Jolla Thai place for lunch. I visited twice for lunch and will be back for dinner soon.
When this place is good, they are so good! Sometimes they can skimp on the sauce making the dish less tasty. If not for that, I would give a 5.
The Food was so yummy!
Delicious food
Quite amazing service i shall say. But on thy other hand the food did not meet my expectations at all. I was very disappointed beyond taking a bite out of the fried rice. Did not taste like thai food what so ever. Taste more like a mexican dish
Great food. Soup and drunken noodles were food
Highly recommend this place food is fantastic and reasonably priced. Family owned and operated. Give it a try you won’t regret it.
Good Ambience reaonble pricing pleasant servers. Like the food quality.
Atmosphere would be better with Thai decor and music. Sticky rice needs a pinch of salt to balance the excessive syrupy sweetness :-)

I went with 8 friends and we all ordered something completely different and we all throughly enjoyed our meals! Very tasty and delicious. Would recommend to Thai food lovers.
Food was delicious! We ordered the Fresh rolls tofu, cream cheese wontons, masaman curry and pad Thai noodles. Fast service and friendly staff.
I normally don't even care enough to do reviews but I just had the worst spring rolls and pad Thai of my life here. The only saving grace was the nice server who did take off one of the items since I couldn't eat any more. I only ate the other because I was so hungry. I guess that's what I get for wanting Thai food in La Jolla haha!
Dined in to try out the new management as we loved it before, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality dining experience I had. The Kapow Thai Kai Dow was a smash hit. Absolutely delicious. Crab rangoons were outstanding. My son got the green curry and said it was perfect spice level (level 3 was spicy but not overpowering). I will be back for sure.
THE best Thai food. Sweet staff. Great lunch specials
The food will hit every times I ordered!
Crab Rangoon Appetizer : This came with 4, it was sooo filling & delicious.
Shrimp Pad see-ew : I got this at every Thai spot and it was delicious! The spicy level ranges from 1-10 and the waitress said 3-4 was medium.
Thai BBQ chicken: My husband ordered this and enjoyed it. Taste was sooo good with thai spices and meat was tendered.
Hot Sake : good size & affordable.
Customer Service/ overall experience. The service was amazing. The waitress was super sweet I wish I got her name. I will definitely be back :)
I really enjoyed the lunch special! Great food, great atmosphere, great value!
I came to visit La Jolla San Diego city and stopped by this Thai restaurant. The flavors tasted just like they do in Thailand, made me miss home.
The egg rolls tasted nothing. Had a chef special with duck. Asked for medium spiced. It was so spicy, we could not taste anything else but spice. We have had this dish at many other restaurants, and even if it was a bit too spicy, it would still be good. Not at this place! There was not much meat either. Went home and made a sandwich.
6 dishes. All of which where fantastic. Also had Lemmon tea. Food was on the table quick.
Recommend
This place is great! I ate here last week. I had to go. The food was great! I definitely recommend trying this place out!
Spice & Rice Thai was a favorite for years. Was hugely disappointed today at new Little Thai, as I could find no Thai flavor (or in fact any flavor) in the bowl of cut carrots and celery with a little broth that I was served today as Cashew Nut. I sooo wanted their food to be good.
Good food and not to expensive here if compare with the area. I'm happy they serve lunch special it's very delicious.
Delicious Thai food with fresh ingredients. Service was great and the owner was enthusiastically proud of her cooking
Great Thai food in area.
