Opened in February 2024, Yummy Thai Restaurant brings the vibrant flavors of Thailand to Goleta. This family-owned eatery uses fresh, high-quality ingredients to craft authentic curries, noodles, appetizers, and more. Dive into a steaming bowl of Tom Yum soup, savor the fragrant Pad Thai, or explore the spice spectrum with a fiery green curry. Whether you're a seasoned Thai food enthusiast or new to the cuisine, Yummy Thai promises a delicious and authentic culinary adventure.
They took over Pataya. Pataya was super delicious, but let me tell you, this place is...YUMMMMMMY. First visit there and will definitely continue to go back. They did some remodeling to the inside. It looks much nicer. The staff is incredibly friendly.
The tap water is very great!
I ordered the pad see ew and boy...I almost inhaled it. The yellow chicken curry was delicious but it did have a spicy kick, we ordered it without spice, so if you're spicy sensitive let them know.
Their house salad was simple but the dressing was freaking delicious. It was a Thai peanut dressing.
It was really good! Actually probably one of my preferred drunken noodles I've had in the area, flavor-wise. I avoided trying this place for years because of the reviews and finally tried it out because of the new management. The lunch special is an awesome deal. Friend also liked the pad thai (me too, which is rare because usually I find it too sweet)
Portions are about the same as other thai places. Hot spicy is more like medium. Will try out the thai spicy next time but hopefully they will still give the sauce and flakes to go because I'm definitely using them for instant noodles.
Really enjoyed the food - mostly ordered appetizers (spring rolls, chicken satay, dumplings) and one main dish (yellow curry with chicken). Chicken satay was some of the best I’ve ever had. Too bad they don’t have beer or wine, but I’d certainly go back and highly recommend it.
Had drunken noodles and panang curry delivered. The noodles were mushy little pieces, not a single intact noodle. It’s shocking that it could be so overcooked and not have any color at all. The panache which was ordered medium spicy was unpalatably sweet and also watery.
Ordered the See you noodles with chicken, mild spice. Blandest most flavorless food I've ever had. Thai food is so flavorful and bright and this was anything but. The chicken wasnt even seasoned, not a hint of salt or flavor. The noodles were all chopped up as if being given to a toddler. Almost looks like they're kind enough to chew the food for u before u get to do it. $18 down the drain. Should've made instant noodles at home and I would've had a better tasting meal.

Best duck noodle I’ve had in my life! Anything else idk cuz I’m always here for duck noodles
Great lunch special for $13ish dollars.
Fast service and great food!

Almost as good as the good food in Thailand. Milder.
Superb food and service. Don’t miss out on their hidden gem!
Disgusting food 😅😅😅😅😅
Went for lunch and everything was spectacular! For around $11 a plate portions were good and food was delicious. Ambiance was good but smell was a bit off putting. Will be coming back^^
This place is really really good. We don’t have a lot of Thai options in Santa Barbara/Goleta I really enjoy their Tom Kah
I was really hopeful when I read other reviews that said that the old Pattaya was under new ownership and had been spruced up.
The one thing I'll agree on is that the tap water was good. That's actually not always a given in Goleta!
But the Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles were both pretty mediocre. The service was fine, but if the place had been spruced up, I sure didn't see it... Looked and smelled exactly the same as before.
New owners and a new name, Yummy Thai. They don't have beer license yet. Food was great and came quickly. Looking forward to going again and trying more dishes.

Always so so good. Best Thai food in Santa Barbara hands down. Phad Thai is amazing and people working are always so sweet.
Typical Thai menu. Food is very good, Amazing curry, and very fresh vegetables. Your food will be piping hot. Ambiance is improved from Pattaya. Get better water to serve your guests. Take out is probably the best option.
Best Thai food in the area. Big portions.
Tasty and very fast service!
Yummy Thai Restaurant was a delight for lunch today!
I'm happy to see that wonderful new owners took over this space and have opened a restaurant with a delicious menu.
The food was fresh, flavorful, and fantastic.
The service was excellent.
Parking behind the restaurant in back was convenient and appreciated.
The food was great. Fresh and tasty. Looking forward to visit again
Me encantó el sabor . Mil veces volvería aunque me queda retirado.
Great food as always! The online order form makes things way easier when getting takeout

The food was good and brought out in a timely manner. Items on the menu were reasonably priced. The interior was a little run down and the bathroom was dark.
We had a really good meal. I especially enjoyed the green papaya salad and the panang curry. I thought everything was fresh and well seasoned. I thought the prices were very reasonable.
Amazing!!!
Worst quality Thai food I’ve had in a long, long time. Got pad Thai and cashew chicken, and not only was it totally bland, underwhelming, but the quantity was tiny (and overpriced).
What we got was not panang curry. It is normally red. The pineapple curry and panang were literally the same with some chunks of pineapple thrown in.
Great food. Friendly service. It’s worth checking this place out.
Great food. Service was very very slow as this place is very under staffed waited probably around 30-40 minutes for food but the pad Thai was amongst the best I’ve had. Considering the price though, the plate could’ve been bigger for me.
The BEST Thai in the area by far
Very good Thai food.
Yum!
Horrible service. Never again
Always heard it was the best Thai food in town and I finally confirmed it's not the best in town it's the best in the world.
Everything I've tried here has been delicious (tofu dishes, curry, and spring rolls) and the atmosphere is cozy and unique. I saw some reviews saying they don't like the main women who works there, but do not be swayed. She is quick, but kind and working hard to run her business!
Food is incredible and the staff are extremely friendly! My go-to in Goleta/Santa Barbara.
Good food
Excellent curries!! I love their food!
Open for indoor dining.
Still the same great place.
They lied and acted like they couldn’t hear my wife or I over the phone (we tried 3 times on 2 different phones) they just told us to order online instead of over phone but could clearly respond to our questions, so they heard us. It was very frustrating. I did not appreciate being lied to. Unfortunately, will never go here again because of this experience.
First time. Good food and takeout service. Everybody had a mask.
Very good
We ordered yellow curry chicken, panang curry and Thai fried rice. The food was excellent especially the yellow curry was outstanding!!
Good Thai food and flavors. But they screwed up our takeout order during Covid - I'm guessing they're struggling to keep normal staff etc.
Best Thai food in the Goleta Valley. Friendly staff. Generous chicken satay portions. Scrumptious Phad Thai Noodles. My new go-to Thai restaurant.
I'm so impressed by the takeout we got from Pattaya last night! We loaded up on many dishes so we could enjoy leftovers. I appreciate that Pattaya does not use styrofoam takeout containers and they were able to put our entire order into a box. Each bite was so delicious and wonderful!
Food Thai food at reasonable prices. Convenient parking in back!
One of my favorite local spots. Pad Thai, yellow curry and Thai tea is a must!
This place is amazing. Food is fresh prepared and tastes great! Family owned and operated as well.
Must go if you're looking for Thai in Santa Barbara.
Great food, prices, and service
We really love this restaurant. Friendly service and wonderful food at a reasonable price.
Older lady with short black hair is very rude. I explained myself 2x about my order and she stated that she doesn't understand my questions. Yelled about me if I wanted to order or not. Worst place ever and will never come back.
The waitress was in a a great hurry to push us out when the clocked ticked 9.30 ( their closing time). I was not finished with my food, but the way she asked me if I were done made me say yes. The dishes were ok. The green curry had a lot of vegetables and less of gravy, the veg chowmein was average, the pineapple fried rice was really good. Overall average experience.
Love the food!! Green curry, pad thai, pineapple fried rice, and chicken satay are my favorites. Service is acceptable, decor is ok. Go for the food!!
Make sure you 'ask' for spicy.
Delicious food. Big portions. Good prices and great service. Would recommend to anyone that love Thai food!!
Good food, friendly staff. Standard Thai cuisine like Tom Kha soup is well made, other things have nice presentation, like coconut water in an actual, fresh coconut.
Delicious food with plenty of veggies and meat on the noodles and exactly the spice I asked for.
This place is great. Every dish is fantastic. I eat here all the time. The owners are really nice. I have never been disappointed.
Definitely a place to check out. Their Thai spice is no joke.
Pattaya is the best Thai food in Santa Barbara! Amazing taste, friendly waitstaff, good portions, and decent prices. I always get the basil wings, garlic pepper chicken, and yellow curry. I actually love the building - it feels cozy and down-to-earth. Going to Pattaya is a very comforting experience.
Good service!!! Fast, super friendly and really well cook food! Thank you guys!!
Even the location not look appearance outside but inside is much better. Good food, reasonable price. Nice service and care like family. I will come back whenever visit Santa Barbara.
The Drunken Noodles come with both chicken and shrimp, so it's nice not to have to choose between the two. I like spicy things, but not was I glad I ordered medium heat this time, cause it was the perfect amount of heat. Only reason I don't give full 5 stars is because the building itself is a little run down and the women's bathroom always seems to have some issues.
Okay Thai Food. Half of the dining room and bar area was under renovation when we visited. The construction may have affected the lack of air conditioning in the restaurant. But nice, to the point service, and relaxing background music.
They took a long time to make our order. They said they made a mistake with two dishes and we didn’t have any modifications to them. We waited extra and no accommodations were offered by our waitress or any staff to accommodate for this wait. The restaurant was not busy, about 3-4 tables had people. The dishes were smaller than other places, also was not impressed with my dish. I ordered the drunken noodles. We did not get the best customer service so I will go elsewhere.
Good food, service and atmosphere!
Unbelievably worst thai place i ever visited. I asked for a chow mein and they literally gave me burned food, vegetables and noodles were actually burned, taste was horrible. I told the server about this and she got that fixed but after the fix, it was much harder to eat it. Very bad experience, never ever going back.
reasonable prices and extremely polite staff.it also helps that the food is great. Is probably the only thai restaurant in Goleta so is a great change from other foods.
For years I've driven by this place and never stopped... Until today. WoW, great food! Great service, my whole group was very happy with every dish! Definitely on my returning list now! 👌 💯
Delicious food!
Really good portions and good food. I had the pineapple fried rice and my girlfriend had garlic chicken and both were delicious!
Good food and attentive service at a reasonable price made lunch with a good friend even more enjoyable. Oh, and free parking behind the restaurant was a bonus feature.
Such good food! And their Thai iced tea was the best I've had in a while.
Great food, good, friendly service, love this place!
Very tasty food, and the place looks really nice
Good authentic food. This is my go to Thai place. They're quick with phone orders too; they have my orders ready within 10 minutes. The restaurant itself needs some improvement, but I'm there for the food not the location. Drunken noodles is my favorite dish here, and my boyfriend loves the southern comfort noodles.
My first time eating Tai food and it was great
I like the food, it's just super overpriced. The lady is nice however :) The portion sizes are definitely much larger than the nearby Meun Fan Thai, something that I appreciate
Great food. Good service
Very good food
Best local Thai food.. Great service..
Tasty food, service could be more attentive.
Great food.....great taste.....great service. Highly recommended!
Food tasted burnt and service was mediocre at best
here is one of my favorite restaurants in Goleta. Btw i have lived in Goleta for two years and i like Thai food in general. Pattaya has great pad thai, basil fried rice and green curry. The taste may be a little more authentic than Tap Thai in SB.
I recommend pad thai strongly.
Good selection or curry and other dishes. Had the yellow chicken curry and was very good flavors
Lunch special is very good.
Best... Best... Best! Thank you Judy etal
Pad See Yew with Beef (Thai Spicy). Best in town.
Lady that took my order was short with me, acted like she was busy but i was the only customer in line took my card didn't tell me the cost had to ask, swiped it and striking the keyboard with my card thought she was gonna bend or crack my card lol. Chicken Panang had little or no chicken just awful not going back.
Spring roll was edible, so two stars. their pad se ew tasted only like char, it didn't have any other flavor. No traditional sweetness like the dish should. The drunken noodles are edible, but dry. Do not go here. Your Choice is just down the way, a buck cheaper per dish, and infinitely better.
Authentic thai food and tasty as well.
Everything is amazing here - freshly made, always cooked to perfection. And although the food tastes amazing and is basically like a hug on a plate (or a bowl if you order soup), the people who work here are genuinely nice, hard-working, passionate, and kind. You can feel it in in the interactions and food, and that's why my hubby and I continue to come here. Pattaya is a happy spot for us.
Mmmmmmmmmm Best Thai food in Goleta
When you visit order the Southern Comfort you will not be disappointed Flat egg noodles, broccoli carrots baby corn shrimp chicken In a garlic wine sauce mmmmmmmmm so delicious
Make sure you say no Chile peppers If you don’t do spicy 😜
Try the duck curry.
Changing my rating. Found a hair in my soup, the waitress, simply took it back and gave me a new bowl. No apology nothing. As if, I should be glad it is hair and nothing even worst. Never going back. Bye!
Do not let the outside fool you this place is AMAZING! From the food selection to the spice level. I rate thai places on their curry and I was not disappointed. I got the red curry with vegetables, spice level hot. The flavor was full, the curry creamy and thick and everything was so fresh. Typical wait time for food, only one waitress, and the place looks a little worn BUT that is were the best food comes from. I will definitely come back and try out other items, and I would highly suggest this place to other people looking for delicious spicy thai food.
Not a great place. Quite popular among non vegetarians but their vegetarian options were below par. Their red curry is not even a curry and God knows what was that. 2 stars from us because we totally wasted our $50 at this place. The only thing we loved that how traditional the restaurant looked frkm inside. Great interiors but not so great food.
It's rare that I would rank anything as 5 stars, but in this case the food was delicious, service was attentive, and the convenience of the restaurant being open late compelling.
It's the most authentic Thai place I have ever been in santa Barbara. It won't disappoint you. Yellow curry chicken is my most favorite. Must visit ☺️
My family loves this place. The food is great. We get the chicken noodle which is great and the summer chicken. We always get one dish "Thai Spicey" which is always delicious. They use all white meat which is tastey. Some times we do carry out but like the hospitality of the owner so we eat in.
Ordered to types of curry. Red curry had plenty of wonderful veggies cooked perfect. Crisp and seasoned. The flavors were great went home pleased and lunch for tommorrow. We will be back with all our friends!!
Just OK...
Love love love the Swimming Rama, chicken on a bed of spinach with peanut sauce. Jasmine tea completed the meal.
Excellent Thai food keeps us coming back again and again
Awesome food! Have eaten takeout from here multiple times and never disappoints!
Best thai food I've ever had hands down. Awesome service as well.
My favorite for Thai food
My experience here started off poorly. My brother and I stood in the lobby for quite sometime before being acknowledged. Service bounced back immediately though. Staff was polite and attentive. Food however was subpar. Food came out hot and fresh but completely flavorless. Not something you would expect from a Thai Restaurant. Also unlike most Thai restaurants they do not greet you with glasses of water. They only give water upon request as to conserve water. Mucho respeto!! Lastly before departing I went to the restroom. Restroom was dirty and many things out of order. I can only imagine what the kitchen is like. Probably won't return.
Offers a good selection of Thai dishes.
odd decorum but the food is real good
Friendly staff and good service, but the food is simply mediocre.
Awesome Thai food that is reasonably priced. The atmosphere could definitely use some polishing though. Great place to grab food or takeout.
The wings are delicious
The food was mediocre at best, there are much better choices in Santa Barbara to choose from. Our waiter was nice but unfortunately they need more staffing. With all of the students coming and going there simply is not enough manpower to run this place properly. Long wait times and honestly the meat in the food tasted like it had sit in the freezer a little too long. I would pass and go to galangal Thai on state instead. I wouldn't come back. The only redeeming quality was the Thai iced tea. The place is a rip off and the portions are small.
Best chicken satay on the South Coast!
This place does not deserve the high rating it has.
For me the place was very awkward as I walked from the back parking lot. The inside looked abandon and run down. You get to the front and realize that section is blocked out by a weird shelf.
There is also no one to greet you. So as you walk into the dinning area you expect to sit where you like, but in our case we were instantly screamed at from across the room and told to sit somewhere else.
Then it came time to order and the same lady came about 5 minutes later and took our order.
Pad Kee Mao (no meat choices you get what they want you to have, shrimp and chicken)
Yellow chicken Curry
spring rolls
2 waters
The Pad Kee Mao was very unconventional. I asked for the second most spicy Pad kee mao and whenever it came out it was not spicy at all. There was almost no sauce and the noodles were burnt and there were 2 shrimp in the entire dish. I would have asked for chopsticks, more sauce and something to make it a little more spicy but I never saw my waiter again until it was well past time to pay. The only redeeming quality to this dish was the fact that they used good rice noodles, although they were burnt... Other note about the dish It would have been much more flavorful if they would have added the basil later, after they took it off the heat, so that it would not destroy the flavor of the basil.
The Yellow Curry was good and very standard, no complaints.
Spring Rolls were tasty.
Water was not refilled because we never saw our waiter, so maybe it was good that they didn't actually make it spicy haha.
They are way understaffed here. A restaurant needs more than 2 people in the entire front of the house.
good thai food
Nice Thai place. Convenient parking!
