My husband and I have been to Thailand many times and love Thai food… we were so pleased and happy to find this gem of a restaurant because it’s one of the best, most flavorful, and authentic Thai food we’d had in the states! Portions were generous, service was great (free Thai ice tea), and everything was SO delicious!! Parking isn’t the best but we found some on the street close by and it isn’t the fanciest of restaurants but guaranteed good food! ❤️

One of the best mango sticky rice dishes I have tried. The pad thai and red curry were delicious. It was nice that the curry comes with rice. Some places don't. I forgot what the noodle soup was called. It was good, but a bit too sour according to my tastes. The complimentary Thai tea was tasty, not overly sweet. The service was nice and our food came out fast.

Literally real thai foods. Their foods are generally sweeter than other places. I personally have a big sweet tooth so it did not bothered me much but the sweetness did not go along with some savory dishes such as chili and basil. Tom kha is always my thai favorite. Khao soy was kinda too sweet but loved the flavor. (Almost drank the soup) only recommend this place to those like their foods sweet. Also the casher/server guy is super energetic and adds fun to eating experience.

We were given free Thai teas and the food was delicious 😫 We went again a few days ago because I could not stop thinking about the food. I was looking forward to coming back. Overall an 8/10.

Pad Thai Lunch Combo:

The Pad Thai had a good flavor with the sourness I am expecting and the savoriness as well. It did seem very drenched in the sauce but it did not feel heavy.

Overall a 7/10.

Spicy Wings:

This was great! Cooked well with the crunchy exterior and juicy meat underneath. The sauce is delicious, spicy with a slow burn and sweet as well.

Some of the plates were also chipped.

OVERALL:

Overall 8/10.

Just tried this for the first time today.
Finally, a Thai place that believes me when I say I want it top level spicy. Chili and Basil leaves with Chicken is outstanding.
Will be coming back often.

This is a tiny, independent place. I loved my food, and there is SO much more I'm dying to try. Definitely check this place out!

My new go to for thai food. The place is clean, the staff is exceptionally friendly and the food is delicious. I loved the egg rolls, yellow curry fried rice and spring rolls. The chicken panang was delicious, however I like mine a little sweeter but that's just my personal preference.

Just go here you wont be disappointed.

It was my first time eating here, but I will definitely come back. I ordered the Massaman curry with chicken and brown rice on the side and both were delicious. I envied the family at the table across from me. There were (I think) eight people and they had ordered a number of different dishes for the table. I heard their comments and would have liked to have tasted many of them. Looks like I’ll have to come back and try something new.

A pile of mush, not a single whole noodle in sight. The is supposed to be noodles but its a pile of gruel.

Favorite Thai spot in OC until the last few months, Not sure if the cook changed but last 5 times noticed the taste changed enough to be noticeable. Paradise rich has to much curry the orange chicken not as much flavor , the padthai still 85% as good but missing something. Papaya salad still ok but missing something and looks more red than prior , paradise rice looks to orange compared to the best they used to make. Curry is ok but missing that bite, I think they changed cooks. Anyone recommend another spot? Price wise it's very good, large servings

Got take-out, which does NOT get free Thai Tea per our pick-up guy (5/2024). Quick completion of order and food was acceptable, but not quite what we were looking for.

Got the Thai Boat, which did not have any vegetables in our soup; with review of pictures, it looks like there should have been a little greens and a bit more meat. Flavor of soup was good though, but should have had greens. Beef was tough.

Also got Pad Se-Ew with beef: flavor was OK but could have used more seasoning.

Not sure I'd get take out again. Maybe would try another opportunity with in-house dining for the free Thai Tea, but not in a rush given food quality

Closest pad Thai from Thailand in my opinion

I’m certain this is a great restaurant but I had a really bad experience on 2/18/24.

I ordered the fried rice with tofu instead of meat. I made it very clear that I’m a vegan and there should be no meat or meat byproducts in the meal. The waiter assured me it wouldn’t be.

My meal was served 10 minutes later with partially frozen tofu, and overcooked rice. I sent it back for a redo but the same meal was served.I picked out the tofu and sent it and the rice back.

I then had the main dish served as take out. I attempted to eat the main dish at home only to discover it contained remnants of chicken bones and chicken seasoning which as a vegan really upset my stomach.

It was as if the restaurant intentionally mislead me, and didn’t care about my concerns.

I really enjoyed eating at Real Thai. The employees were welcoming and I felt like I was eating at home. The food was also amazing; I ordered the Spicy Fried Rice with Medium spice and it was very good. Definitely recommend to friends and family.

Amazing atmosphere and even better customer service. I came in with five of my friends and we ordered food and drinks to compliment our meals. They were quick with putting out our food and even generous enough to fill up our water bottles for free. Besides that, when I told my friends about this restaurant and ordered Thai teas for them, the owner was kind enough to give me one of them complimentary because of our company. Their heart is filled with gold and I hope they get more customers to serve!

Everything that we ordered was delicious. Savory and great flavors. We ordered the Tom Yum soup with shrimp, chicken satay, pad see ew with beef, and the bbq pork ribs.

Asked replacing meat with Tofu for Rad Na but came back with meats still, but all meats. Then asked to add tofu in Tom Yum soup, no tofu. No idea what’s going on with this restaurant.

Superb & sincere service. We received our dishes in a timely manner and the food was at the perfect temperature and delicious for all of us. Go and visit them.

Give the most food for your money and is delicious! I have found that most places always cheat you on the quantity of food but not this place! Also, was waiting for my to go food for a while and without asking they gave me a complimentary Thai tea! Great customer service with a great attitude. Only thing I would recommend is this place move to a bigger location as it gets busy fast!

This was my favorite Thai place for the last 7 years. Last night was a changer for sure. It was terrible. I asked if it had changed hands and the waitress said she didn’t know. But then again she didn’t seem to know much. The food didn’t even look like what it was supposed to be. We only were able to take a few bites. When we complained she smiled and handed us the bill. She asked if we wanted boxes we both said NO! Service was as bad as the food. It’s a shame. I really liked that restaurant I used to even order my lunch there and pick it up. Never again.

Went in at an off time, so we were the only ones eating. Food was excellent and very reasonable in cost. Also food came out almost immediately, though this may have been the result of us being the only ones there.

Nice Thai restaurant in a small plaza. Not very busy but food is decent. The young pretty girl who works there was attentive and helpful.

This is the most authentic Thai food you'll find in all Anaheim... the food has amazing flavor (the Thai sausage is a master of the 7 flavors). And prices are not bad... it is a small restaurant with a small staff trying to make it in a hard industry so please adjust your expecations... the owner is very kind and they struggle to keep up with full fledged restaurants but there is heart in this place that gets lost in the shuffle of bigger places... plus again.. you haven't had Thai food unless you have eaten here or Thailand

Authentic Thai food, a little bit sweet

Ordered panang chicken and chicken chow mein. Not a lot of flavor and didn't taste very fresh. They offer a complimentary Thai tea for pickup's so I ordered 2 expecting to be charged for only one but they still charged me for both. I mentioned the sign for the free Thai tea and the guy offered an additional one but it was like a kids cup. Definitely marking this one off the list.

The eggplant was tender, the vegetables were well cooked and the sauce was flavorful.
The Drunken Noodles, Combination Thai Fried Rice and Thai Tea were also excellent.

Great little place to get some Thai food in the area. Currently has complimentary Thai tea with dine in. They have lunch specials that are all under $10, which is amazing nowadays. Food came out fast and service was great. Highly recommend the salmon panang curry and their paradise fried rice.

My experience at this restaurant was enjoyable. The food was fresh and authentic and cooked to perfection. The service was exceptional. The owners were very friendly and aim to please their customers. The next time my family and I visit the area, we plan to dine in again.

SO GOOD! I had larb gai (chicken), pad see ew and green curry, all super spicy. Larb is my favorite Thai dish, and I think this is the best I've ever had! They have sticky rice. (Some Thai places don't. 🤷‍♂️)

The food was great...We got the Tom Yum seafood soup...We opted for Extra Spicy and it was so good! We got their sampler platter it was alright. Also an extra spicy papaya salad. It was good but they put a lot of dried Chile's in it. I'm more accustom to the fresh Thai Chile's in papaya salads but still tasty.
We also feasted on their mango sticky rice which is so damn good!
The also have a really good Thai ice tea.

Received a menu in the mail for this place and decided to try it out. They have lunch specials, and the mailer mentioned free delivery when spending $25+, but on the ordering site, only takeout or curbside were available. I probably could have called to get delivery, but oh well. This place is quite small inside, but it's definitely got a recently updated feel to it. The air conditioning was kickin, and the place was clean. They'd had a crazy lunch rush, so we had to wait a few minutes, but it was all good. The gentleman gave us an extra Thai tea for waiting.

Now for the food - for lunch specials, I was expecting small portions, but I was wrong! We had the green curry with chicken and the spicy basil chicken. Both came with white rice, salad, and a cute tiny crispy veggie roll. The rice and curry were definitely 2 portions. Can't wait to try the mango sticky rice next time. We'll be back soon!

My boyfriend and I came this afternoon after a long day of working and being super hungry. We were greeted and seated by the owner Jayden. He was extremely nice and has a great sense of humor, even with being the only one taking orders and serving for the day! The food was absolutely amazing! We ordered the yellow curry with chicken/shrimp and the Tom Kha soup. We will definitely be back!

It seems that they only have 3 people working and 2 of them are trying to multitask and help the cook at the same time. Just my opinion, but they need at least one person that is tending to dine-in guests at all times, even if it gets busy in the kitchen.

On the food note, their crab fried rice, grilled shrimp salad, and pad se ew are my favorites.

My husband and I had been in search of a good Thai food location. And guesssss what?!! We found it. Service was amazing and pricing was reasonable 🥰 thank you so much.

Ordered the green Thai curry and drunken noodles with mango sticky rice today. Showed up to pick it up and the man who helped me was incredibly kind. Definitely top tier customer service. The Thai tea was delicious and the curry was bright and flavorful, just how I like it. Will definitely return.

This Real Thai restaurant is got a owner, new chef. We’re here today Saturday’s 1/01/22. And we’re very disappointed about everything, services very slow, foods is unacceptable. I’m used to be regular customer before new owner take over. The food before was extremely excellent, very friendly services. This will be the last visited for us. ☹️😣😫!!

So good! Take out only, order ahead and pick up. The owner was so sweet when I came in to pick up our order.
I got the paradise rice (fried rice with chicken, shrimp, pineapple, cashews, raisins) and my boyfriend got the duck curry. I absolutely loved the rice dish, my boyfriend was being experimental with the duck but he still loved the taste of the curry.
Big portions and good prices. We definitely want to try this place again!

The owner is one of the nicest, friendliest restaurant owners ever. That alone is worth the drive. And the food? It easily competes with Jitlada, Night Market, Luv 2 Eat and Pa Ord Noodle in LA/Hollywood. Have had their massaman curry, fried rice, pad see ew, jungle noodles and papaya salad. All are DELICIOUS!
Update 11/27/2021 You can’t go wrong with any dish here. We keep coming back and absolutely LOVE it! Among our favorites and highly recommended: massaman curry, boat noodle soup, tom kha soup, tom yum (if you want a lighter soup… among the best anywhere), moo yang (pork), crying tiger (beef), spicy sole fish and roast duck curry (🤩 🤤).

When I arrived to pick up my order, I encountered a smiling and kind-hearted owner, who thanked me and told me that he valued my business. Without prompt, he delighted in explaining the regional styles of Thai food, as well as the specific style that his wife (the chef and co-owner) prepared. The information was cultural gold. Even before I dug in, I could sense that the food was prepared with empathy: good juju--cartoned, contained, and bagged. True to the vibes, each dish offered a "down home" comfort that stuck to my bones and put Holy Basil on my soul.

Ordered $50 of food and paid with credit card. Boyfriend wanted thai tea (which tasted like sugar water) and it’s $3 so I gave them a 20 dollar bill. I didn’t check the change they gave me until I got to the gas station and it was only $12. Count your change people!!!

I've known Pete and Kem the new owner's of the Real Thai Restraunt for more than 20 year's. My relationship started when with their other restraunt. She is the very best ultimate Real Thai Cook. Unlike many places today, she purchases nothing but the very best high quality fresh food and vegetables, realizing that it is the quality that keeps customers coming back! With the pandemic in progress, they are at this time only taking orders for take out, phone in for on line pickup, Grubhub Etc.
Truly, If you want to experience the taste of Real Thai Food, please give them a try!

I happened to drop by at this location for a quick lunch grab. The guy who came out to get my order was super sweet, and he endlessly said thank you for coming to have his food. Honestly speaking, I was in a bit of bitter mood because of what happened at the work in the morning. Him greeting so warmly made me feel much better. AND he offered a free Thai tea to put the cherry on top. Food was amazing, the service was amazing, I will definitely recommend this place.

OMG I finally found a good thai place to eat at!!!!! The host was so nice. While I was waiting I could smell the wonderful food. I just got home and my gosh.... I'm in LOVE!!! Saying it's authentic doesn't even cover how good it is. I am definitely coming back and this is going to be my regular spot now.

The food is heavenly! Perfect blend of spices. Curry is spot on authentic!! Soups are refreshing, aromatic, and delightful-- especially Tom kha. Owners are enthusiastic and friendly. Favorite Thai restaurant hands down. I'm lucky to live so close by. The ambience is the ultimate tiny, unassuming

Not great and not bad. Owners very nice. FYI, when the dish (papaya salad) says that it has crab its the soft shell baby crabs. There really isnt any meat you just eat the entire thing shell and all which most people wont like.
