Lovely, simple, family-run. Food was delicious. It's charming how the staff interacted with customers. Very family and local vibe.

Diner Review №7

Pretty decent authentic Thai food. The prices r reasonable.

Diner Review №8

Nice service; ok Thai food.

Diner Review №9

Love the Thai food here. It’s pretty much what you get if you were at a Thai family house eating.

Diner Review №10

I understand the side walk was under construction, but we eat old soup, and padsew wasn't cooked right. The restaurant is trending down since they switched the new owner. Please improve the food, fresh, daily cook.otherwise, you loose customers.

Diner Review №11

Unaware of their business hours, went inside and the rude waitress yelled at us that “we are close”! while it was in the middle of the day.My friend had the same experience before but apparently they don’t want to change, not worth it giving them business

Diner Review №12

Favorite OC Thai restaurant! Everything I’ve tried so far has been a hit. My favorites are their spicy beef salad (a must!!), papaya salad, and pad see ew. Their pad thai is also very flavorful and I love how everything is customizable. A hidden gem behind 85 degrees /99 cent store :-)

Diner Review №13

음식이 깨끗하고 맛있었다

Diner Review №14

This is my favorite Thai place. Compared with other Thai restaurants, Chada does a better job with their pad Thai and their curries. The meat is fresh and is cooked way better with more flavor than other Thai restaurants. Their Panang curry has big chunks of fatty beef whereas other places use super lean steak that isn't very tasty. Also their service is awesome

So good!!

Diner Review №19

Great Thai restaurant. I was a little surprised that the table was pretty much empty. There wasnt any spices jars on the table at all. After tasting their foods, I understand why. They tasted just right, so there wasnt any adjustments on the taste at all. I think they will get into a bigger restaurant for sure in the future. 👍👍👍

Rude waitresses specially the younger girl, I think she is a student. No matter how many times you have been there she is still treating you like she has never seen you before, and trust me I have always been generous! People used to work there when previous owner was running it, were nice and respectful. New owner has jacked up their prices, shrunk the meal quantity and hired rude people to run the restaurant unless they are related to the new owner or maybe they are the owners!! We used to go there for few years but I think we are done with them

Beef Pad Thai was recommended by Viet co worker. Was great! Service was very good! Glass Noodle soup was also very good. Fish cake was interesting. Ordered it to try it, but thought it was just ok. I liked how it looked and very herbal tasting. I think I'm just not a fish cake person. We'll definitely be back again.

Diner Review №43

The food was pretty good.

Diner Review №44

My wife and I have been going to Chada Thai for the last 5-4 years and we believe it's the best Thai restaurant in Orange County. We've gone to a handful of other restaurants such as Thai Lingo, Famous Thai restaurant, etc. but we continue to go to Chada thai cause it taste so authentic. We are moving out of state and will definitely miss our favorite spot.

Diner Review №45

Service is ok. Food are not good, the shrimp taste and smell bad. Portin of Fried rice was half of the other place. Not coming back again!

Diner Review №46

Fresh Thai food made to order. Comes out piping hot. Pad see ew is soooo good.

Diner Review №47

I loved the veggies, and the many options for Thai food. The crispy pork slices on top were somehow not too dried out!

So I was told to go here for the Pad Thai.. And gotta say that it was Probably one of my favorite That I had. Wasn't too sticky too sweet it was balanced really nicely. It wasn't like one big chunk I'll Stuck together. I got a level 4 but I would definitely try a level 6 to Maybe 7 next time I go back..

My wife and I have been coming here for the past few years and can not express enough how wonderful it is. The food is absolutely delicious and the service, fantastic. Tomo, our hostess, has always given service with a smile. She and all the staff are absolutely the best.

Food is flavorful and good portion with affordable prices. The curry portions are large enough to share. Parking is a pain since mostly compact parking. It is behind the 99cent store in the far corner pass Oc Va Lau.

Great food. You can dine-in or outside and of course take out is available

Diner Review №71

Best Thai food ever!! I come here every week. Try the eggplant basil with chicken, it's bomb...and the Curry Panang with beef, super delicious...the beef is really something, the taste is like a one day/night braised beef stew...incredible!!

Diner Review №72

Diner Review №73

I routinely pass 2 other decent Thai places on the way to this restaurant, but it is my favorite. They're really quick with take out as well.

Diner Review №74

Diner Review №75

Looks like the quality of the food has gone down since the Covid pandemic. The Fish cake looks like it has been fried twice based on the color. Same is true for the Spicy Catfish dish. Fried food now has a really unhealthy dark color and the texture is hard and tough. Fried food is already unhealthy by itself but double fried is down right toxic to a person's health. This has happened twice already in two months.

Looks like the level of authenticity of their food is no longer what it was. The Spicy Eggplant with pork is supposed to come with Ground pork as stated on the menu and is typically how it is served in Thailand. Instead, the restaurant is serving it with sliced pork which may be healthier but doesn't taste like true Thai cooking.

To be fair, the prices are a bit lower than other nearby Thai restaurants, but I rather have them increase the price per item by a couple of dollars and try to keep the food and cooking fresher.

Diner Review №76

Good tasty food. And good

Diner Review №77

Needs more spicy on some foods imo.

Diner Review №78

5 stars for service, food and accommodation to my dietary needs. The wife and I visited last weekend. We are both living the keto lifestyle (my wife just wanted to lose a bit of weight, but I need to lose a lot, and I'm diabetic).

Anyways this establishment offered to make any item except the pad thai (which already has its sauce mixed) sugar free. I don't love pad thai anyways and wouldn't have ordered that. We had awesome crispy pork belly with Chinese broccoli and Tom yum goong.

Very appreciative that they were willing to accommodate and satisfy my thai food craving.

From the moment I walked in to Chada Thia I knew I was going to be satisfied. I ordered the Rad Nah with shrimp and a Coca-Cola. I loved everything. I go to a lot of Thai restaurants so I know what I’m talking about. If you want to be satisfied, you need to eat here. #satisfied

Green curry was not good, diluted. It could be bc of my food order that's not delicious. Don't order the green curry, pineapple fried rice or the morning glory vegetable. Maybe it's an off day for me, usually this place is very good.

Diner Review №110

This is my new favorite Thai restaurant. A very humble and cozy place, this restaurant offers deliciously prepared food parties with outstanding service. One of my favorite dish so far is the Nam and Crispy Rice salad. It is BURSTING with flavors and such a treat for your tastebuds! Everything that I've had here has been delicious and just wonderful!

Diner Review №111

It's a small place but full of authentic Thais foods, services and prices are great. There may be some waiting if you don't mind.

Diner Review №121

I came here during the late lunch hours so there was no wait. Although there is also just a bunch of small tables, there is a possibility of a big party coming here as I saw yesterday. They will accommodate by pushing all the small tables together forming a long row against the seats against the wall.

The location of Chada Thai is a bit odd. It sits in the other side of a plaza which contains a 99 cent store, 85C Bakery, and a handful of other Vietnamese Restaurants. Parking here is plentiful because it does sit at the other side of a much busier plaza, but I can imagine it being crowded during peak hours still.

The food and service here was great. The service was a little slow, but it was largely because of the larger party being served first. However, as soon as they got out order, we had our food on the table in 10 minutes. We ordered the Pad Kee Mow as well as a Pineapple Fried Rice. They were both really good and nicely plated. The Pineapple Fried Rice took home the prize though because that was the most tastiest Pineapple Fried Rice I have had in a while. The Thai Tea is also served in a cute mason jar and was creamy and sweet.

Diner Review №123

This is the second time I have been to Chada Thai and the second time my girlfriend and I have totally enjoyed our experience. The interior of Chada is pretty close quarters, but this probably helped make the service what it was. We got Tom Yum soup and Pad Thai (basic, I know, I eat other noodle dishes, I promise) and they brought out our soup first. It was a little spicier than the last time so I was demolishing my water and as soon as it was gone somebody was over to refill my cup 🙏 As soon as our delicious soup was finished they brought out our Pad Thai, which was equally tasty. After that we got some Sticky Rice w/ Mango and oh my lanta, it was some of the best I have ever had. Not only was the service and food excellent, but our check got to us in a timely manner as we were on our way to a movie. Definitely a perfect way to start date night with the love of my life. 10/10 will go back to Chada Thai 👍

One of my favorite Thai restaurants ever. The only downside is that when they ask what level of spicy you want it to be, it's pretty much the same across the board. Aside from that, great stuff.

A group of us from class intended to go to a different restaurant but the line was too long. Since Chada Thai was it within walking distance and had great ratings we gave it a try. The table next to us informed us that this was one of their favorite local gems to eat at. They were right! You cannot go wrong here! Everybody at our table ordered something different. We all shared the food and it was all freshly made, looked fabulous and tasted delicious. And even though they didn’t spend a lot of money on fancy tables and decorations we are so happy we ended up here instead of our original plan. What a great find!!!

Diner Review №175

Diner Review №176

Their crying tiger is a massive slab of quality skirt steak with perfectly made sauce! Order sticky rice to put this this tiger on another level. Unfortunately, no Thai beer to pair this masterpiece off. They are located behind the Mall of Fortune, skip the busy front of the strip and drive toward the back alley.

Diner Review №177

Love this place!

Diner Review №178

Very friendly service. I loved the Thai coffee and the morning glory dish. However the chicken satay had an interesting texture and taste so we couldn't finish it. Tom Yum soup was not as tasteful.

Diner Review №179

After wondering for 3 years where we could find a fine Thai restaurant, we came to Chada Thai. This is the best Thai restaurant in OC. All the dishes are exquisite and well prepared. The owner and his employees give such a great service that we keep coming back!

Diner Review №180

Diner Review №181

Waited 25 minutes with no food and then all the dishes we ordered collided on the table at once. The chicken satay had a weird texture, could not finish it. The soup was ok. The beef satay remained pretty much untouched. Staff was friendly thus one additional star.

Diner Review №182

Diner Review №183

Diner Review №184

Diner Review №186

Diner Review №187

Chada Thai can be somewhat difficult to find (I was on the opposite side of the building for a little while before I figured out where to go), but I think it is a solid option for Thai food. The restaurant has a very clean layout to it, both in terms of general cleanliness and layout. I ate here on a weekday evening, and I ordered the Pad Thai and Tom Yum Goong (shrimp) soup. Both were delicious, though I must admit that the Tom Yum soup was spicy. However, that was my fault as I requested that the soup be spicy (though, I didn't imagine it would be as spicy as it was). Service was very attentive and kind, especially with the water refills. I would come here again if I'm visiting the Garden Grove area and wanted to eat Thai food.

Diner Review №188

Cozy, clean, food are good. If the services is a little faster I will give them another star

Diner Review №189

$6.00 for a big cup of Thai tea is still a little bit expensive to me. The staffs were nice but it took a long time for them to prepare our dishes, and it was just okay, not really good tho. I and my friends love the fish cake because it had lemongrass inside. The papaya salad was too salty. Actually I came for sticky rice with mango but they said that dish was seasonal, so sad 😂😂😂 After all, I think you guys should try this place at least once in your life.
