⚠️ Portion Sizes: The portions were shockingly small. I ordered beef laab, yum woo sen, green curry, and boat noodles, and I was still hungry afterward.

▶️ Beef Laab :
• They don’t offer medium rare beef.
• The portion was palm-sized—just one small size.

▶️ Boat Noodles:
• No basil, cilantro, or green onions to enhance the dish.
• The broth was extremely bland.
• No chili oil available, and their fish sauce is pre-mixed with Thai chili, but it wasn’t spicy at all.

▶️ Yum Woo Sen: The flavor was bland, and the portion was tiny. It felt unbalanced since there was more lettuce than noodles.

▶️ Green Curry: Just okay—not the worst, but definitely not the best. It lacked depth and flavor.

▶️ Sticky Rice: This was the most surprising. The portion was barely a spoonful, which was shocking.

Green curry had canned beans and bamboo shoots and flavorless, also small in size, like kids size. Papaya salad was watered down with lemon juice, not authentic to Thai or Laos style. We also asked medium in spice, it came with Zero spice. Chicken skewers were okay. Chicken teriyaki was terrible due to burnt sauce drizzled over the chicken, causing it to taste bitter. Horrible overall.

I got the shrimp and received exactly two shrimp. The staff didn’t improve the experience either, as they were unfriendly and unwelcoming. On a positive note, the rice was decent and tasted as expected. However, given the overall experience, I wouldn’t go back.

Food is pricey based on the quantity. Local Panda Express gives more food for half the price. Taste is ok, nothing out of the ordinary. Staff are really friendly and there's always parking. Overall an ok experience.

I ordered the combination boat noodle, it's not your typical dark broth boat noodle, I think this should be Thai pho, not boat noodle,boat noodle has dark broth like blood broth and Thai pho is just like regular pho, that's my experience. Overall,the pho taste good, I give a rating of #8 from 1-10 rating.
If you are around this area and looking to eat pho, give this place a try. I recommend this dish, Combination boat noodle.

We have eaten here before, about 6 months ago and it was pretty good. Just ate there last night and have been on the toilet non stop. There was two of us eating there and both having the same issue, so has to be the food. It is too bad, the lady is really nice that was serving us, but we will not be back, ever! Some of their ingredients must be bad, but can't tell which one, so I just had to throw out all the leftovers. I would not recommend eating here, it is not worth the pain and suffering.

Their online menu has not been updated since before 2020 . They changed the pricing to almost double. Spring rolls had 1 piece of shrimp each for over 9$ after taxes Larb with chicken was tasteless ground meat on lettuce for 13$ and small container of mango curry with vegetables (2 potato chunks and some broccoli )and it didn’t come with rice for 18$ what a complete waste of money and time. I asked for spicy and I got mild. 🤢 Yuck I will never get food there again. I’d give zero stars if it was an option

The lady was nice and it was small and clean. One other customer inside. I ordered the chicken Tom yum soup and spring rolls. It Was the worst Thai food I’ve ever had. The soup had no flavor and the spring rolls were filled with lettuce, sprouts and carrots with Two small shrimp inside. I will not be eating here again. Waste of money.

We stopped in at Simply Thai while looking for a new restaurant to try.
The decor is simple, attractive and clean. My one recommendation would be a little background music to detract from others conversations and the sounds of eating.
The food was delicious with good presentation.
The service was outstanding.
Simply Thai is definitely on our "fav restaurants' list.

Hidden gem! This place is amazing. Service is amazing and so sweet. I love the lady that usually orders my food. This restaurant deserves a lot more hype! I get the spicy seafood soup. It’s 10/10! Sticky rice is addiction. And the ice sweet tea is delicious! Go thai!

Pad thai dinner is more like a child's plate size, just fyi. Salad/spring rolls are decent size and ok. Thai Chili further south provides way more food at very little higher price. Silly how little pad thai they give you here for the cost!

First ordered satay chicken $6.95 on the online menu but when I pick it up they charged me $14?! , it says come with cucumber salad but it came with sliced carrots. This taste almost no flavor . dissatisfied

I am sorry but this place has gone downhill. The yellow curry was watery with no flavor at all and the fried rice was salty. The dinner portion is a joke more like a lunch and it was a takeaway. Never again.

This was my first time eating here. I had the Pork Pineapple Curry with Jasmine rice and an order of Spring Rolls. The service was great. The food was seasoned just to my liking, and the Jasmine rice wasn't overcooked, and as for the spring rolls, I could barely fit one in my mouth. And the rolls came with some peanut dipping sauce that I found delightful.
Prices were reasonable, or so I thought. Would I recommend this place? Yes. Will I be returning? Yes. The waitress said that they have been here for 1 0 years and I can see why.

Small little place, clean and tidy. Service is top notch. Price very reasonable. We had thr Pad Thai. Not quite what I expected. Have had it elsewhere which was a bit better. A more flavour peanut sauce and less vinegar may have helped. I would definitely go back and try some other dishes

I went here for my lunch break from work. The food is overpriced. I ordered beef larb with a side of sticky rice. It all turned out to be $13.53, but I added a dollar tip because the service is great. The waitress/cashier is very kind and friendly. The beef larb is good, but it was very sweet. I'm sure there was brown sugar added to the larb. Personally, for me, I prefer unsweetened and savory food. I've never had brown sugar in my larb, and that suprised me. The portion is also very very small. I work in a deli, and I can say that the serving size of the larb must have been 1/3 (5.7 oz) or 1/4 (4 oz) a pound of larb with 4 pieces of lettuce for $10. The sticky rice was perfect, but again, the serving size is very small. It must have been 1/8 a pound (2 oz) for $2.50. I could have eaten 4 of those. For me, I wouldn't come back mainly because the food is sweet and overpriced.

Been coming here for ten years, the only restaurant in Sacramento I can recommend without qualification. The service is fast and courteous, the ingredients are fresh, and the dishes are downright delicious! I've had Tom Kha Gai all over the world, and theirs is simply the best!

The best Thai food I had! Everything from Soup to Pad Thai and Tea and everything we ordered in between were awesome! The lady who severed us was super nice too! Definitely coming back! It was freshly made and felt more like an authentic home cooked food based on texture and taste.

Simply Thai has been one of my favorite Thai restaurants. My family and I have been going here for 10 years and the food has been delicious every single time. I have recommended this restaurant to many friends over the years. Unfortunately, yesterday we ordered multiple curry dishes and soup that we could immediately tell were watered down. I don't even think they put coconut milk in the curries, that is how liquidy it was. It was extremely disappointing. My homemade curry is better quality than what they served us. I really hope they fix this issue or I fear they may go out of business... :(

Panang curry is very watery & doesn't have much flavor. They advertise it with green beans (nope, I got carrots), bell pepper (I asked for eggplant sub and got zucchini), and basil (nope, mine has what I assume is lemongrass). My daughter got pra ram & the peanut sauce is just as soupy & unflavored as my panang! It spilled all in the bag and I had to make my own peanut sauce ... we will not return

Came here for the first time to place an order TO-GO. Service was quick. The Pad Thai was delicious. Definitely gonna come back for more.

This was my first time at this restaurant. I ordered the drunken noodle. What I got was drunken produce with a noodle garnishment. I ordered a noodle dish and expected noodles, not a plate full of vegetables. I've had great thai food, I've had great drunken noodles and this is not it. This is my first and last time at this establishment.

I took my mom there for dinner. The waitress was very friendly and sweet. We love the chicken wings but the Pad Thai is just ok. They'll make the food spicier if you ask. We also ordered the beef with vegetables and it was tasty and a side of Jasmine rice that was cooked perfectly. Would go again.

Ordered yellow curry, eggplant, and pad thai. I read some reviews before checking it out since price was cheap. However I would never recommend anyone to go here unless you have a salty taste bud or looking for cheap thai food . If I could upload videos of the curry ,you could see how watery the curry is . It looks like they've just put stingy amount of their own yellow curry paste, they didn't cook it in a pot but rather a stir fry pan for the curry since I was watching them cook it. A lot of onions than meat, really salty, not enough meat about 5-9 max , rarely carrots and potatoes. Pad thai was sour,soggy, didn't look like pad thai. Looks like excessive soy sauce on noodles . Eggplant was also watery , salty , and small portion. Would not come back at all

You know you've found a good Thai restaurant when their Tom Kha is on point!! Seriously one of the best in town. I've had several dishes from this location including; the Pad Thai, Yum Woon Sen, and Som Tum, just to name a few, and each one is made extremely well. I'm always beyond satisfied when I go here. Their Thai Iced Tea is not too sweet either which I personally like. Check it out for some serious Thai!!

Best Thai food in Sacramento. Having many members of my family from Thailand, who cook very well, I am a Thai food snob, and Simply Thai is EXCELLENT food!! They are very courteous and the lady is very sweet and has remembered our family every time we have been to the restaurant...she even remembers what we ordered on previous visits. They make your food to order and how ever you like it. They are a true Thai restaurant

Just called in a minute ago and wanted to order "to go." I barely understood the lady and she was rushing me and she was rude. Not a good a good sign for a restaurant like this. I've eaten in several Thai restaurants and they were very courteous and classy. Definitely not a classy establishment.

Some of the reviews I read about their food wasn't good but I was willing to give them a try inspite of this. I would not recommend this place based on their customer service. If they don't employ good people, I'm sure their food is mediocre at best.
