Very nice place, spotlessly clean, simple but pleasing decorations. Thai food is maybe not my favorite but I do sometimes and this place was recommended. I had the crispy pork belly fried rice, someone else the pumpkin curry and sweet cashew curry and all were very good. I love anything rice and there was plenty of it, we also had a side of brown rice. My plate was dry and I had to put soy sauce to loosen it up, the pork fat was crispy hard and the soy helped with that, very tasty. Yes the waitress was polite and attentive 👍

The food was average for a thai place that lacks Asian food in the immediate area. I ordered the egg rolls, fried eggplant and drunken noodles. The egg rolls weren’t very flavorful, the fried eggplant was bland and the drunken noodles just tasted like oyster sauce. I would not go out of my way to eat here.

The ladies are always so sweet but yesterday whoever the cook was did amazing on the vegetable fried rice, it was perfectly seasoned. Please don’t be mean to these people they deserve respect, best Thai ever

Visiting from out of town and decided to try Vanda Orchid Thai Bistro. I was happy to find a variety of vegetarian options on the menu. I ordered the Pad Thai, fresh Spring Rolls, and mango sticky rice. All the ingredients were very fresh and well prepared. Super tasty! Quick and friendly service when picking up my order.

Oh my my, the food was amazing. We had the Mango Curry, Chicken Pad Thai, and Tom Yum soup. Everything was delicious, but the Tom Yum was our favorite. A note on spice level: all dishes will come mild unless you specify otherwise. (We ordered the Pad Thai medium and it was perfect.)

Don't be fooled by the fact that it's in a strip mall! They've made it a really nice little spot for sit down, too! With the jazz in the background, the fun street food show on the corner tv, and lighting, the ambiance made me forget where I was. Limited seating, but cozy. We'll most definitely be back!

Sadly this place has gone downhill since it was renamed from Thai E-San. With only 2 tables being served the food took nearly an hour to come out and when it finally did it did not taste nearly as good as before. Welp, on to find something different.

Kao Soi Chicken is the most delicious coconut curry soup I've ever eaten! It is served with fresh red onion, cilantro, and lime. I could eat it every day! One dish is more than enough for 2 people. And the Sriracha Prawns are to die for- huge, fresh, crispy prawns in an amazing house sauce. My husband called it the best shrimp dish in Dixon - and he's truly tried them all. Their hot jasmine tea is wonderful. House salad was crisp and refreshing.
The only dilemma we have now is that we want to try everything on the menu, but we'll also have to reorder all the same things as we ate today!
Our waitress was so helpful and sweet. My husband dropped a spoon and she practically ran to bring him a new one. She kept our drinks full and pushed another table up against ours when it turned out we had over-ordered and had too much food to fit on our 2-person table lol. I'm also in love with the ambiance. The dining room was cool, dimly lit, and clean and the music and artwork are pleasant. Plus there's a big screen TV that was showing interesting asian dishes being professionally prepared. I wouldn't change a single thing about our experience. We'll be back at least once a week!

Tonight we had Thai yellow curry, it was outstanding. I ordered mild curry and my wife ordered medium. The delicious flavor of the yellow curry coupled with the chicken was mouthwatering. My go to Thai food restaurant in Dixon.

It's one of the best Thai restaurant that I've been to. The green curry was so delicious. I ordered another steam rice and they gave it for free. The server always smiles. The place is so clean. The restroom is well decorated and very tidy, I could live there. LOL. You won't be disappointed. Go eat here!

Simply put, since the re-branding of this restaurant (formerly known as E-San), it seems like their presentation of food was more focused than the quality/taste. We used to frequent this establishment before and had high hopes, since the old restaurant was one of the few Thai places my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed.

Unfortunately, Vanda Orchid did not live up to it's predecessor; the menus are different, the recipes are different, and the quality is just not the same.

I am willing to give it another shot, but for now, I will leave my review as is.

Food was great service was great but getting the bill we were flabbergasted on the fact that they charged us 18% - $20 . When we already spent $107 for my family of 8. No where on the menu does it say if you have more then 6 people at your table you automatically get charged 18% that’s absolutely insane . BEWARE!
