We have been serving the Bay Area the best authentic Thai food since 1987! With a focus on sticking to our original flavor, using fresh home grown ingredients, and providing the best possible customer experience. Feel at home with us in-store or at home with our super quick takeout!
Food was delicious. Pork Belly, Noodles, and dessert were fresh, tasty and delicious. I couldn't be happier with the food and there packaging to go. The restaurant itself isn't up to par for eating in the place, although it may have been at one time, but definitely recommend a to-go order!
Have I mentioned I love to try different foods! Me and my friend was looking to eat at a place that wasn’t a chain type restaurant. And we passed by this one in willow pass, concord on Park n Shop shopping center. The owner actually works there and very nice and attentive. This I would say is Asian Fusion food with exploding tastes. Big food portions (I’m all about that) with the price that you pay. Which was not expensive at all. Their deserts are unique and several options for drinks! Love, loved it!!!
I did takeout and got the Khao Poon (coconut milk and noodle soup) and the mango sticky rice.
I’ve been looking for a delicious coconut based curry soup for a while and I finally found it. The soup was the perfect amount of spicy with layers of flavors. Portions were large- I have enough for dinner tomorrow as well. The mango sticky rice also, delicious. This is something I’ve ordered a lot and this one is spot on and again, a large portion- enough for two. I highly recommend this place!!! Next I’m going to try the drunken noodles.
First when we walked in the place, we loved the spacious room with clean, sparsely design and semi-open kitchen style. Our waitress was friendly and helpful in giving us plenty of recommendations and never rushed us. We tried their most popular signature dish Stix wings and it’s a crowd pleaser, crispy skins with tangy chili sweet sauce, fingers licking good wings. The papaya salad was the perfect companion to the spicy chicken wings, crunchy papaya with cilantro and red onions all mixed in with lime citrus sauce, a perfect palate cleansing. We also ventured the Laotian fermented pork salad with crispy rice which is another perfectly balanced dish with the crunch and mint complimenting the fermented pork, which has a texture of beef tendon. The only dish we didn’t care as much was the fried calamari, the batter was just too heavy. The portion was generous and for three people with six dishes, the average cost was $30 per person with lots of to go boxes.
My wife and I eat here about 1-2 times a month. In my opinion, it's easily the best Thai/Laos restaurant in the Concord area due to it's combination of affordable prices, fast and friendly/attentive service, and authentic flavors. They have an extensive menu, and happy hour goes from 3-9pm, so you're guaranteed some cheap eats all through dinner. They also have Chang beer, which is a plus in my book. All of their soups are incredible, but be careful of their spice rack - they are super spicy and not for timid of heart. I like a little bit of spicy food from time to time, but their spicy sauce is too powerful for me. We also love their chicken skewer wings. I could simply get two orders of those, a bowl of rice, and I'd be set for life. The restaurant is casual in atmosphere. Seating is plentiful as is parking. I hope more people will eat at Stix. It's one of my personal favorites in all of of Concord!
I’ve never had Laotian food before so I really have nothing to compare it to. But from the recommendation of the server I tried the khao poon which is a special that’s not actually on the menu. I wanted something soupy and comforting and it perfectly hit the spot. The dish is a red coconut curry soup with large vermicelli noodles, garnished with fresh mint and cilantro. The portion was huuuuge. I think the portions here in general are big. I also ordered a Thai iced coffee and it came in a huge mason jar. I only drank half and asked for a to go cup and it almost filled the to go cup — you’re really getting 2 drinks here. Love that this is a family owned joint. The service was a little slow but everyone was friendly and helpful.
It’s okay, it’s more like fusion. Might as well go somewhere else with all the options around

Seriously great takeout tonight, the bahn mi's were on point... The pad Thai was really good. Our past experiences have corroborated this one. Thanks for this.
Bbest pad thai I’ve ever had— I was eating pad thai from a different restaurant and it didn’t hit like stick which is what prompted me to write this review
We always get ours deliver. The chicken larb & beef jerky always delicious and looks amazing. Always order these items at least 4 times a month. The best we have so far compared to other Thai restaurants. Thank you 😊
Good food, fast friendly service, good value, good location. Will be back
I will definitely go back to eat at this place. Very good food.
BEST PAD THAI EVER!! such a lovely small business with food and flavors that are unmatched, would definitely recommend!!!
Get the following:
Papaya salad
Drunken noodles
Pork belly
(Optional) lao sausage
This is always my go-to spot when I come to east bay. The drunken noodles are unique in that they’re crispy (i love it), and the pork belly is always crispy and juicy too.
Very good. I love this place.
Food was delicious. Pork Belly, Noodles, and dessert were fresh, tasty and delicious. I couldn't be happier with the food and there packaging to go. The restaurant itself isn't up to par for eating in the place, although it may have been at one time, but definitely recommend a to-go order!
Drunken noodles and pineapple fried rice are amazing. It is authentic. Will come again!
TLDR: ordered 3 items all turned out amazing. Drunken noodle, green curry, tofu grob. (Tofu in picture)
I hate tofu. I always want to try it everywhere I go because it always looks good, but the texture, I just can't do it.. I got this because my girlfriend likes tofu. Plain and simple review... THIS IS DELICIOUS. I had to push myself past the texture to eat more it was so good. The texture still bothered me a little but it was much more bearable than any I've had before the flavor is a bit sweet so if you like a sweeter sauce on your tofu I can't recommend this enough.
I also ordered the drunken noodle (extra crispy) SOFA KING AMAZING! idk how to explain it other than that. It's fantastic.
Green curry with white rice was the last thing I ordered. It had a slight kick but pretty mild tbh.
I wouldn't order all 3 at the same time again cuz I ate way 2 much, but individually I would order all 3 again depending on what I was craving. I already know I'm gonna be craving those noodles a lot.
Update: Went to Stix Eatery 3 times in 3 weeks. First 2 times were great. Today, service was completely unacceptable. 4 others in my lunch group got their food, and I had to flag down a waitress to let her know my food was missing. After my lunch group was already half finished with their food, I had to ask for food to go, and when it finally came, it was half size at the same price. Yellow curry with shrimps had 2 pieces of shrimps only, in a tiny to go box, really? You lost me as a customer, I won't be coming back ever.
Old review: My lunch group and I really enjoyed the yellow curry with shrimps, and the Krapow with sliced pork belly. Sweet and savory. Around $12 to $15 for each dish.
I’m guessing that they changed the chef once they changed location over to Monument Street. We’re super sad now cause the location next to the crawfish place made the best pat Thai and beef salad ever. We were loyal customers, so we had to come and support their new location. So sad the food was not the same.
Food is good and pretty authentic. Staff could use more smiles though.
Loved the pad thai, tofu eggplant with sticky rice and the mango with sticky rice !
I ordered pad thai for delivery, this is the 3rd time already. No chopstick, no napkins or forks. I called them, they said not unless I requested it. Even if it’s for take out. So they’re assuming I don’t need it. So dissapointed and the pad thai is getting dryer and dryer.
Yum! CURRY!
If you want some traditional Laotian or Lao food this is the place to go, all the dishes have excellent flavors and remind me of the way my mom and sisters cook. From the Lao sausage to the Larb gai and the Nam Khao which is very hard to find, my wife and I order from here on the regular and they have never let us down highly recommend👍🏼
Omg! My guy and I randomly came into Sticks Eatery because we were starved. We are so glad and delighted that we stopped in. The food is amazing! From the papaya salad to the barbecue trio and the tofu and vegetables in peanut sauce - Smacking! The staff are very friendly and the environment is peaceful and super clean. Will be back again!
My fav to go, esp coconuts 🥥 always 🙏🤗😎💘
Ehhh, I am sorry, but I cannot recommend this place right now. Went in to order on an unbusy Sunday for lunch takeout with 2 friends on my first outing in a year (Covid). We ordered iced coffee and bahn mi sandwiches. The coffee arrived in a few minutes, but while waiting for the main order, we observed that masks were NOT PROPERLY WORN in the food prep area. They were pulled below the nose or chin by all of the kitchen workers. Called this to the attention of the front staff, but our concerns were waved off and dismissed. There was no change in behavior, or recognition of our concern. We paid for the coffees, but canceled our food order. I would love to support small businesses, but not those that do not abide by common sense rules and health standards.
The best
Everything I have had here has been good to great. I look forward to each time I visit or get take out.
Wonderful service! They would go above and beyond for their clients. Would definitely support them in the future!
Really great curries, and good take-out portions...
Stix does everything well. From the fried wings, Udon, to the curry everything has a little pop to it.
Smackin'!
Garlic rice is hella good.
Red curry salmon is perfect combination of sweet & spicy...I'd try everything if I could!
Some of the best Thai fusion. Drunken noodles are a must!
Quoi
Good food...!!
Great food.
The wings and the coconut curry is really good.!
Good tasting food!
Only thai restaurant in the area that's worth going to outside of Oakland and SF. Delicious and authentic flavors and huge portions. I just recommend to tell them to make your dish spicy if that's what you like since they keep it on the milder side.
It's okay , slow Services
Excellent fish cake appetizer and red curry entree. Also a refreshing lychee drink.
Delicious food. Great portions
If you're coming here from Savanh, prepare to be disappointed. The pad thai is now incredibly sugary and tastes strongly like ketchup. On the bright side, the curry and rice were delicious! We'll find new Thai food in the future, but if you are into the americanized version of Thai food then you would probably enjoy this :)
Tasty Thai food, but the pad thai isn't the same as Savanh. It's much sweeter.
My wife and I eat here about 1-2 times a month. Amazing
Very good food and excellent, attentive service
I really do enjoy the food here. Almost every dish I've tried was right up my alley. However I can't excuse just how unappealing I find the restaurant itself. The "chairs" are metal with no cushion and the "benches" are flat planks of wood stuck to the walls. I do like the paintings they have hung up but even that is rewined by the wall color. Bottom line is I wouldn't go here for any kind of date or social gathering but i would order some take out.
Must try ,every time we come here the food is just amazing
We love the green curry
Taste is personal preference so this will only reflect mine - this is my go to place for fried rice - garlic, siracha, consistently very tasty and portion big enough for two. A tried some other two or three other dishes which I didn't like. Place is simple, clean, my orders are usually take out , staff I dealt with efficient and nice.
The food is great and plenty of it, you cannot beat the price Very friendly people
Thai food is very good.
Very good food
Confusing menu and not so friendly staff.
For the most part, the food is very delicious. I had the Hawaiian fried rice - what a treat! The chicken satay was a bit dry. The service was a bit slow; they could work out improving that aspect of their business.
Excellent place and food
Fantastic. I was disappointed to see a few of my favorite Thai restaurants in Pleasant Hill/Concord area either close down or suffer decline in their food quality after their ownership changed hands, and I was glad to find another gem like STIX. If you were a regular at Savanh, Wat Phou, or Bangkok Kitchen and are looking to find a new favorite, this is the place I recommend.
The food here is good. And the service is very nice as well.
This place is amazing! Friendly and attentive staff make this the best place to eat with friends. Everything we have ordered here is full of flavor and you cannot stop eating the TOFU GROB!!!
Delicious, reasonable prices, friendly staff. I got the pork bbq and it was exactly what I was craving. The complementary soup was delicious: the cherry on top of an already awesome meal!
Best Thai food in area. Great yellow curry, papaya salad and sriracha fried rice is awesome.
Stix is a really nice looking place. There is plenty of parking and they have beer on tap. Greeted and seated quickly too.
I am a big fan of Beef Larb. It's a Laos dish, and Stix advertise itself as a Thai/ Lao Restaurant. I ordered the Beef Larb and was given a Thai Beef Salad. If they didn't have Beef Larb, they should have told me so I could have ordered something else.
They gave me a very generous amount of the salad. The salad looks great. However, the salad was drowned in dressing so everything tasted like spicy salad dressing. Very Disappointed.
This is a really interesting menu. It's On By 3 people from three different distinct ethnic areas, Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand. Therefore, the menu is a mix of all those cultures. Food is pretty good but the ambience is pretty bleak. The dining room is large, drafty and cold.
The food is good, I especially like the garlic fried rice and mango salad. Have not tried the noodles yet but they look pretty good.
Bought the worst food ever soggy rice raw meat was arguing about giving a refund stay away
Everything was delicious. Drunken noodles were flavorful. The tofu appetizer was on point. Vegetarian Egg roll was amazing I will definitely be back.
This food is phenomenal. Shocking and over the top fabulous find in Concord. And they can easily and deliciously make dishes vegan and sugar free. Seriously, one of the best restaurants that I've been to in years. I'm addicted to the drunken noodles!!
Wonderful. Delicious. Nice Service
Excellent service, food and surrounds
great food great staff!!!
The food here is SO GOOD, and the service is really nice too. Everything I've had so far is good except 1 thing- the skewers. They were kinda meh. Maybe coz all the other food was so flavorful...(Tom Yum, Pork Belly Kapraw, I forgot their name for it but the crispy noodle dish, and fried rice)
Love love love!! This is all around a great place to go. The food is always fresh the service is always super friendly. It's a nice casual place to just sit back relax and have some great food!
Best Laos food in town. Never failed me while im here for work from another city down south. I'm for sure I'll be back when I'm back in town. FIRE!
Laos sausage is great
Good food. Excellent Service. .. And Spacedust is on Tap!
I absolutely love theirs Lao sausages, Thai boat noodle and papaya salad. The Lao sausages are super flavorful, you can taste all different herbs. The lychee ice tea is very refreshing, just the right amount of sweetness. I enjoyed the cleanliness of the restaurant and friendly service.
Different in a good way.
Beautifully prepared, authentic Laos food! My wife is Laos (no, it’s not “Laotian”, only Americans say that), and this is as close to her family recipes as we’ve ever found. The portions are generous, the prices are more than reasonable, and the staff are friendly. But the food, that’s amazing!
I stopped in for the first time to try something different from my normal pizza and hamburger diet..lol. I had the Lao Sausages with some type of sweet hot dipping sauce...and a dish that was on the specials board.. its not on the menu, but it was fantastic. Fish and cabbage in a banana leaf...or something like that. Freakin out of this world, melt in your mouth goodness. I did get the order to go...and was notified that it would take 15 min to prepare. I thought that was very thoughtful...considering I may have been in a hurry with a to go order. Alot of people were drinking beer with their meals.... All in all a great experience... honest upfront service and tasty food.
food was great. I mean great. It was very clean as well. The staff is nice. My only problem is you might have to wait a long time to get your food. But I wouls still eat here again, so yum.
Where do I start? The food is amazing and the staff is friendly and courteous! We always feel welcome and are never disappointed with our meals!
Service was great, but the food left a lot to be desired. Everything was cooked well (except the crab rangoons- most lost their filling in the fryer), but the taste was dull. There was zero spice- as in nothing was hot (even the volcanic chicken). Even though the meats, vegetables and rice were cooked well (not over or undercooked), the dishes just tasted sweet and indistinguishable from each other.
Great food !
If you love Asian food and especially Thai food, this is the place you have to go eat. All the dishes are incredibles, very delicious and tasty with different flavour. I'm sure you will find the one you like.
The owner and the employees are very welcoming and courteous. They will advise you to choose the dish that will suit you the best or surprise you by making you discover new flavors.
Although this isn't a vegan food spot, they have been very accommodating to my family and I each and every time I come here. I know it's pretty annoying to ask restaurants to make changes to dishes, but I really love the food and flavors here, so I'm happy they have been so helpful. Ive gone to stix with family, friends, and coworkers - We've even catered for our work lunches. I highyl recommend the Drunken Noodles and Tofu Grob! My only critique is that it takes awhile to get the food, I don't think it's just from our order being full of vegan requests because I've come with non vegan friends and it also took awhile to get our food. Don't get me wrong, it's delicious and worth the wait. But if you're in a rush, you might consider ordering ahead for pick up or going only when you have enough time to hangout and eat. I love this place and Manager is awesome! She is always so helpful and nice.

I loved this place , I went back there already . I live in San Francisco , but I drove way back to Concord CA just for stix chicken 🤗
Every time I've visited our food has taken at least 45 minutes to reach our table for two. Typically at least one of our dishes arrives cold. Only redeemable quality is the large mason jars of lychee drink and Thai iced tea, which are still my favorite and one if the main reasons I've given them multiple chances to prove themselves. The offered curries are okay, but not quite compatible to other local Thai and Indian restaurants in the area.
Good taste

The food is great and the price is right! The staff is friendly and courteous. The Garlic Fried Rice with Prawns is my favorite!
