Classic Thai fare comes with views of the ocean at this casual venue with vegetarian options.
Perfect casual date night spot. My wife and I came here on a whim, just walking by the restaurants on the beach. Saw they offered boba and that’s what drew us in lol. Walked inside to see the beautiful beach front window view open, so of course we had to dine in. We got the drunken noodles, chicken egg rolls, and beef fried rice. So yummy. Perfect for a cold night. We definitely recommend the drunken noodles!!
Food is fair tasting, service is so-so. When we visited their POS is not working so instead of focusing on the customer on their wait time, much time is spent on making sure the balance is correct, tables are not cleaned, service is compromised. What should probably have been done is limit the number of customers coming in or close the store for awhile. We saw other customers leave. The view though on 2 tables are beautiful due to the ocean. Street parking or parking lots nearby. Accepts credit/debit. My verdict: not highly recommended but you could try for yourself
Good food with and cordial service. They cooked our food pretty quickly. We were there for dinner and got seats instantl. Food Tasted quite good -considering the fact that it is a restaurant in a tourist-heavy spot of Capitola. Their Spice level is a bit uppish. Their "Medium" will be called "hot" in many other Thai restaurants in the USA.
They serve some fried rice with poached egg on top -a bit different (in a good way).

I like this place a lot. I tried the strawberry milk tea one time and it was too sweet for me, but everything else i tried is good. The hostess is very charming.
Perfect foods. Especially all curries. My favorite one is Yellow Chicken Curry. Always, when close to here, coming here to eat.
Delicious food and happy service!
Parking is cumbersome. Atmosphere is so-so. The food is fabulous!
Thai food does not get better than this!! Fantastic flavors and wonderful service
Taste is good. But i feel portion size can be mote for the price they charge.
Awesome food! Friendly service!
I ordered in. The pad thai was awful. Noodles overdone and sticking together in clumps. The tom kha was disappointing, lacked flavor and the onion slices were way too big. Overall I regret spending money on this meal.
Authentic Thai food, excellent service and very good taste.Enjoyed Lunch.

Love the atmosphere!
Foods were Delicious
The server and Family oriented business is awesome! Be patient, excellent food takes time. Just renovated, too! Try the mango rice, delish! Everything is good here, been coming here for 10 years. The last visit was on Dec 27, 2023 for lunch, party of 3.
Very delicious. Ordered red curry, basil chicken and sea food. Very testy. Fresh food. Will definitely come again. Very good service. Very polite.
Delicious. Great view of the water.
The food was excellent.
This place is awesome!!! Tasty curries, homemade coconut ice cream, and the owners are super sweet. We got the beef panang curry and fish pumpkin curry. Can’t wait to come back and try the noodles. The owner’s hand-constructed mural of the Capitola skyline is so awesome!!

I waited for an order 30min, and they forgot the tofu
Tom Yum soup delicious, you can taste the natural flavours without the added chemicals that other restaurants add. View is great as well!
Super bland and overpriced. I definitely don't recomend unless you're a tourist from out of town who has never ever tried thai food and you hate flavor.
Make sure you order a minimum of 10 hours before you go in to eat. They make u sit and serve at the laziest pace possible. One arrogant lady to serve and one old man who can’t even take ur order right. Food was so bad 🤮🤮
Very tasty.
Excellent food!! And wonderful, family-run vibe. The atmosphere was great and the location is beautiful! Would highly recommend!!
Absolutely amazing food! So glad that we stumbled across this lovely place 💚
Excellent staff, service, and Thai coastal/island beach cuisine.
Same awesome food!…new remodel.
Best view of the beach and lagoon.
The food here is excellent.
And you can see the view from here.
Best Thai food by the seaside.
Fresh roll was bomb!!!!! Pho was great, and pad-see-ew had great flavor!
Very nice place to stop by, will be back again
Love this Thai place! Their version of Pho is so special and all their Thai dishes are super yummy. I don't know what they are going to do because of the terrible winter storms! I hope that they can reopen soon!
They specially prepared the noodles vegetarian and without eggs that was absolutely delicious.
The yellow curry with tofu (also vegetarian) was excellent.
Great food
Good boba
The food was ok, but the place is dirty, including flys, oily tables. It is obviously lacking management.
Exceptional food quality and service! Full flavour!
This place is a 10/10 would eat again and would recommend. I LOVE their pineapple curry. I enjoy it so much that everyone who knows me, knows this is my favorite meal.
It has chicken, shrimp, pineapple, vegetables, and the curry tastes so creamy . They serve it with a side of rice.
You would think it would be a difficult meal to have on the beach, it's not. No greater experience than watching the waves, feeling the breeze, and eating some delicious foods with flavors that compliment each other so well. *Allow some time for the food to cool. It's hot and fresh.
Staff is also always so nice and welcoming making it a great experience from beginning to end.
Really nice people working. We had the yellow curry and it was delicious. Perfect blend of spices and overall flavors. Would recommend! Unsure why the negative reviews, we had a pleasant experience.
Best Thai Food in United States.
I have travelled East Coast to West coast and have tried my Thai food places.
This place is awesome. The food is so tasty, an authentic taste , and the quality is very good. Even the quantity is good.
A perfect place to eat Thai cuisine
Pineapple fried rice tastes good. Boba tea just ok.
Ordered the Pineapple Shrimp Curry. 10/10
Comes with a small side of rice.
Try it. I’m almost positive you’ll love it.
I plan on ordering an extra next time so I can take home and enjoy.
It came with pineapple, shrimp, chicken, zucchini, carrots, broccoli .
The employees were also very nice.
There was a spider in my boba no blame
Wonderful food, great service! My friend and I enjoyed the tofu satay, pad thai, and pineapple fried rice. The banana milk tea was delicious.
Amazing Thai place right on the beach in Capitola with patio seating. Service is great and delicious food.
Be careful. This is based on our experience walk-in window for boba tea tonight. They don’t offer a receipt and try to avoid giving a total. Tried ripping off my mom for over $10 & still no receipt. They took $38 for 5 teas & said it was tax.. then tried talking over us. I demanded the money & he gave me an evil smirk… untrustworthy!!
Worst thai food ive had, my mom is not picky but her food was so bad. She barely ate it. Chicken teriyaki is boiled chicken with nasty teriyaki sause, my beef red curry is bad too..the beef they used is for their pho soup, the fried rice has the same chicken from the teryaki and mushy , they recycle everything.
The best!! The staff were so kind and warm as soon and the food were sooo delicious!! The fact that it's by the water made dining inside even more awesome, we got to have ocean and wharf view while enjoying the coconut milk soup, seasideSiam fried rice, beef pho and taro ube boba drink, thank you!
I just love the shrimp fried rice from here! It does take a bit of time to make so just know that when ordering and take the time to enjoy the shops or beach :)
Very tasty Pho soup!
Good priced food, and it was ok, it does the job if you are hungry after a swim at capitola beach, the woman that works there wasn’t very kind. Place is good for what it is but i wouldn’t go here for dinner or anything
This place has good service. But for the amount of money I spent I shouldn't have been served my food on a paper plate. Gross! On top of that, the Arnold Palmer was sweet when I asked for not sweet. The sauces were sweet and no flavor. Gross! I'll come back if they stop the paper plate.
Had a late night pad Thai craving at this was the only place open. Huge portion, no flavor. Would not recommend!
Always a great choice.Good Thai food & Thai tea!!
The staff was really nice, portions were big and a sweet family-owned business. I would definitely come here again when I stop by Santa Cruz next time.
Super nice staff, great food, beautiful decorations, great price, and family owned!
Extremely good and original Thai food that makes you fly’in! Don’t get fooled by the reviews. I literally had the best Thai food since I was in Bangkok. Friendly staff. Good food takes a while, we ordered starters and they came after 10 mins and the main dish after another 10 min. Will definitely go there again!!
One of my favorite places for curry around town. Always delicious, hefty portions, and excellent customer service!
I absolutely love thai food with peanut sauce and was excited to try a new restaurant. However, my meal was a disappointment. The 'peanut sauce dish' did not look like the picture because it had ZERO peanut sauce - even though I had asked for extra when ordering. Such a shame for what could have been a wonderful experience.
This place is seriously underrated. The guy that works here, I believe who is the owner, runs the store almost by himself. Because of that, it may take a little longer for the food to be ready, but it’s right at the center of capitola so it’s not a big deal finding something else to do in the meantime. Delicious food and boba drinks, great variety; 10/10. Pro recommendation: try the sweet sesame balls. 💚 We plan on coming here every time we come to capitola. This is going to be a traditional for years to come.
Waiting for my order foreverrrrrrr! ETA ordering and getting food on the table is an HOUR and a half ( 3 simple dishes from menu)
I had the chicken satay and it was amazing!!! I keep thinking about it a month later. So so so good. I'll definitely go back, probably regularly. I'd go now but I live 4 hours away.
The VERY BEST THAI FOOD IN CAPITOLA💜💜💜💜
Pad Thai was the worst I have ever had, unbelievably terrible. If I didn't try this pad thai I wouldnt think it was possible to make pad thai this awful, let alone made by a restaurant! The chicken tasted awful, like it was made from spoiled meat, and the noodles were not edible either. Ended up have to throw out the "food" in the trash. Worst thai food in the Santa Cruz/Capitola area. Do not give this place your business bc they are sinply on beach front, it will be a mistake.
My Thai @ Capitola Beach is my favorite local Thai restaurant. I actually have to drive further out because I prefer My Thai to my local.
The owner, Pinky and her relative, Sun, are always cheerful and are eager to please. My Thai has the “standard dishes that is everybody’s favorite.” The fresh flavored dishes are complimented in an artful presentation and can range to whatever degree of hotness that you like, but don’t forget to tell them. There are as many vegetarian options as there are meat. They really mean to please and will adjust dishes according to your preference.
I don’t drink alcoholic beverages, so I can’t comment on that. My go to drink is the Iced Thai Tea.
I love the “Basil Dish” and have ordered that both as a vegetarian dish and as a dish with meat. Another fav is the “Sweet Potato Thai Style Tampura” and both the fried and the fresh “Spring Rolls.” Snd don’t forget dessert. If you select the “Fried Banana”, I recommend that you do it with Ice Cream! Dishes are reasonably priced.
I love the country home feeling ambiance, and call ahead to reserve the table window. It’s a great place to bring a friend or small party on a Friyay night before burning calories dancing next door.
Check them out on your next visit to Capitola.
Bon Appetit! And in case you are wondering, there is no outside seating. The parking is Pay by the Space street parking until 8pm.
And oh! Take Out options!
Delicious authentic Thai food. They also have Boba!
i ordered a peach boba but they gave me boba with fruit juice that you buy from the grocery store, i’m not spending my money for a drink i already have at home
EXCELLENT TASTY FOOD! The ocean view beautiful, the service seemed long because I think the owner & his wife made each dish while we waited, AND took phone orders also! DELICIOUS authentic dishes! Paid parking only/ sometimes hard to find. Good to go with a friend or good book to occupy you, because the food is worth waiting for! (Prices are reasonable.)
I’ve never had THAI Food I’ve liked. I was hesitant to eat here but it was the only place open. I was so impressed! The food was delicious and service was great!! I’d absolutely eat here again. Lots of choices to mix and match. I ordered 5 things from the menu and loved everyone, and the best part was he made it with the level of spice that was perfect!!
It was delicious!! Highly recommend. Small eatery but very good.
The soup portion we ordered was “Large” I could’ve finished it myself. The food is served in small portions so if you don’t have a big appetite, this is the place for you.
Best Thai food....
This restaurant is very odd. Closer in setup to a fast food service, but with the wait time of a classy restaurant. The atmosphere was strongly lacking and the method of ordering was confusing. The food was very expensive and only okay. I did enjoy the sake, but otherwise, a very mediocre experience. I will not be returning.
I ordered a milk tea boba and they gave me it with spoiled milk.
Great Thai food, awesome service
good food and great service, people who work there are very kind, my baby made a mess out of the rice and they were very understanding and nice about it
I'm not the kind of person who give review on Yelp but this place is too sweet that I have to share to others. It's a family restaurant. Very kind people every though the old lady who can't speak English but she tried to help us and make sure everything was ok. Food is great and good service. The vibe reminds me of Thailand. I love this place and highly recommend if you want to get authentic Thai food around here!
My favorite place to eat Thai food in the area. Delicious food with very kind owners. I'm happy everytime I eat here. I highly recommend eating here over any other Thai place!!
Low key, friendly place. Amazing pad thai and salmon curry.
Pretty good food, great service. Great views of bay. Worth a try
Great food! Amazing family run business!
i m one people is thai people is love thai food i m Guarantee this one is the best
It seemed like we were specifically given awful service, not sure why since we came in and ordered food like any other customer. We waited over an hour for our food while other customers who came in after us were served. Once they began to serve us they staggered bringing out the meals by 10minutes and then ended up bringing out under cooked fish and other dishes.
Also when we tried to ask a question of the server who was walking right past us, and seemed to be looking directly at us, he just passed right by without saying a word.
We should have got up and left.
Negative stars.
I would not recommend this restaurant based on their slow service, uncooked food, disregard for the customer, bringing out food at very poor timing.
Delicious food. The beef curry was excellent, creamy with crisp vegetables. Service was nice and not overly attentive. Lovely atmosphere. Great view. I definitely want to come back.
Love love lovity love they make a vegan pad thai and pad see ew...huzzah!!!
TINY portions! Decent but not great food. Then... they had the audacity to charge me an extra buck for more rice - when the initial TINY PORTION was not enough to sop up the MOSTLY LIQUID (very little meat or veggies) curry. It’s not the $1.00 — it’s the principle they rice should be portion compatible with curry (smaller & small... lol)
Dressing on the salad had a nice sweet flavor but the salad was merely lettuce and carrots. The pad thai was very plain. Thank goodness for the small container of sweet sauce/syrup to add some flavor. I'm not in this area often, so wouldn't go here again with so many other options in the area.
I was hoping for Thai food and for some reason couldn't find anything online. Then I looked up and this place was 20 feet from where I parked and open until 10pm on a weekday! Great pad thai and delicious singha beer. I will be back!
We came here and ordered to go. Word to the wise: phone in your order unless you don't mind waiting 30 minutes for your food.
We got the following: chicken fried rice, chicken pad Thai, chicken pad see ew and an order of egg rolls. 3 large orders of food fed 5 people with leftovers. Everything was delicious! My parents who never eat Thai food were raving about it. So much flavor, and like I said we waited forever for our food which was made fresh to order. I'll absolutely come back when I come to Capitola again.
One of the best thai food experience !
Almost like home cooked full of flavors and authentic. Only restaurant i had better thai is star of siam at chicago.
Its not one of those restaurants where they buy thai spices and ask chinese cook to make thai.
This is Thai !! Full-stop
Good service; Really good curry. Nasty tap water. Reasonable prices. Great beach view
Ordered the highest spice level on a noodle dish - server asked me to confirm twice. My meal was exactly the same spice level as my friends’ who ordered no spice. Ended up requesting a spice rack to spice the dish myself.
Food is alright. Not too too impressed by fo. Coconut soup was good. Place itself could be cleaner for the price and the area.
Good food, nice menu, wonderful location right on the beach.
Rude the stupid guy won't let me use the sriracha sauce
I like this place. It is nothing to write home about but it's tasty. It's one of the cheapest places in the village. Run in for lunch :)
Not too shabby.
Didnt like the food much
Nice place. Food is ok. Had better thai food in the bay area though...
Excellent customer service, good food, reasonable prices. Pad thai, white rice, soup, crab rangoon and spring rolls were all great! 👍 😋
Our "Go-To" Thai restaurant! We love this place so much that we always bring out of town guests here for lunch or dinner at least once while they visit. The vegetarian options are wonderful, tasty and beautifully presented. My favorite dish is the pumpkin curry, hands-down, the best. My partner loves the Green Curry. Everyone we bring here loves the owner, Pinky. Very friendly and beautiful views of the Capitola beach. Lunch specials are very popular with the locals. Wonderful Thai place.
Food was good but service was not so good. They were sparsely staffed so they could attend to customers properly. Two women were running around doing everything. Place has barely room to sit.
Coconut soup is the best soup ever
Service was good, but food was just ok. One of the cheaper places to eat in Capitola if you're hanging out at the beach.
I had the Thai Basil Pork. It was different from traditional Thai Basil dishes that I have had here in the US and in Phuket, Thailand. The protein was chopped into large-ish chunks, not minced. There was a much heavier mixture of vegetables (carrots, cucumber, asparagus, green beans, bell peppers and broccoli) than normal. Overall, it was tasty and probably healthier for me, but not what I was seeking or expecting.
Cool vibes and spot. Didnt eat just drank
Pretty good. The boba tea was way too sweet.
ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE. SERVICE IS AWESOME. FOOD IS SPECTACULAR. MY FAVORITE STOP IN MARGARITAVILLE.
A cute little spot right by the beach! Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Food came out quick. Good portion size too. Our family of 4 all found something to try.
The place was a mess to start off with and the waitress drug her feet the whole time (in both meanings). Half the tables were dirty and no one was in the restaurant at all other than us. The chicken satay was raw and all they did once I brought it to their attention was to take it away and cook us (a) new one, which we didn't eat due to the first raw one. The rest of the food was okay at best. And we were never asked what spiciness we wanted, so it was way to hot for my kiddos but not for me this time. Service was poor but the view was the only thing it has going for it.
delicious!
Small location. Food and customer service decent.
My choice of Drunken Noodles (spicy) was excellent. They use extra wide noodles more shaped like a square so that was different, but not in any bad way. I would order that same dish again.
Crab lagoon is literally the best thing I've put in my mouth...
If I could give this place negative stars, I would. We came with a group of 5 people and they only took 3 people's orders. We had to wait minutes to for them to come back and take the rest of the orders, and by then they had forgotten what drinks we ordered. We then waited half an hour for the food to come, and only the first 3 orders came. It was another 20 minutes before the orders they had forgotten to take in the first place ever came out. So half the party was done eating by the time the rest of the food came. They forgot an order of rice and charged us for it, and they tried to charge us $18 for one glass of Robert Mondavi, which you can buy at the grocery store for about $10 a bottle. The food was good, I think, but I waited so long to get it that I barely even tasted it when I finally got to eat. One party of 5 that came in after us left when no one ever came to take their order. I would love to love this place, but the service was just too awful. Never going back.
Best Tai food in Capitola
This Restaurant is a hidden Gem. As other wrote it's very delicious Thai food. From sweet to spicy, too. Very kind and friendly people. Very nice view to the Beach as well.
Great atmosphere, great people, and great sake!!!!!
This place had the best food i've ever tasted . I recommend anyone to go eat here . #1 Best thai food. The service is great , nice view , best atmosphere to be in . The only thing that sucks is the parking . TOO MUCH BUSINESS ! (:
Nice location but so so taste and service
Small portions and oily, fried tofu.
I came here for Christmas dinner, looking to load up on papaya salad, and maybe a little curry. When we entered the restaurant, the first thing we noticed was the fantastic view. This is a beautiful place to eat.
The waitress finally arrived, I politely asked how big a papaya salad is because I wanted to know whether to order 1 or 2-3. She said it would be enough for one person and probably be able to give someone else a bit, too. So, I ordered one. She lied. The papaya salad is about one handful of ingredients, spread out on a plate of juice. The flavor and presentation of the papaya salad were great, but it wasn't even close to a meal, let alone a side-salad. And the salad was the price of a full-sized meal. WAAAY too expensive!
I asked whether the Hot Pepper w/ Tofu and Vegetables was sweet. The waitress said "no, no no!". I went ahead with one of those. It was incredibly salty. Inedible, really. It tasted like seawater. On top of that, it was very sweet, like sweet chili sauce, something I didn't want due to my diet. And on top of that, it was served with fried tofu. Now I've been to good Thai restaurants that are offended when I ask them not to fry the tofu, and here's one, stuck in last century, still frying the living daylights out of its tofu. So fried, it doesn't absorb the flavor of the sauce because it is already saturated in oil!
Before that order arrived, I also ordered a Red Curry with Vegetables and Tofu. Obviously, the tofu was also deep fried. Moreover, the vegetables in the curry were limp and flavorless. Not fresh, not lightly simmered. They were either days-old veggies, or they'd stewed the living daylights out of them until they were down to mush.
After noticing the oil, I wanted to press some of the oil out of my veggies. Unfortunately I couldn't even do that because the plate you get when you order a la cart is tiny and there was no room left after pushing aside the greasy sauce and soggy vegetables. There are also no paper napkins as an alternative to the single linen napkin that I'd already spit a bunch of oily phlegm into while clearing my throat.
If you want Chinese food style Thai food, you found the place. You'll get the communication barrier and the smell of burning oil, the sound of woks clanking around in the kitchen as they fry the heck out of everything. If, however, you want an elegant Thai dinner in real quantities where they actually care about your long-term health, go elsewhere.
Came from out of town looking for ocean front and Thai food, was a 45m drive to Capitola from San Jose. Great view, Great food, Great service, really nice people. The honey mustard duck is worth a try.
