Reservation is recommended but we went on a Saturday night, not packed at all. There are meter parkings right in front of the place as well as public parking lot around, but it could be tricky because the public parking is free for 2 hours and the meter parking is 1 hour max.
Speaking of the food, sea bass in green curry & the green curry with chicken and shrimp are recommended. They are slightly different even both are green curry. The sea bass one is creamy and savory, not spicy at all, it paired well with the grainy rice. The fish came with crispy skin and was cooked just right. The green curry chicken and shrimp is most authentic and paired well with white rice- not generous on shrimps though since we only got 2 of them. The crab fried rice is acceptable, not greasy but also not impressive, probably not for someone like flavourful food.
The grilled quarter chicken- definitely not recommended. The sauce is too sweet and americanised, had nothing to do with any Thai food I have ever tried. Also it's a pity that the mango sticky rice is not available even this is the best season for mango. The thai iced tea was good and authentic but the two tones was a bit bitter than expected.
This is a dog friendly place and the service was excellent. Overall speaking, if you don't want to drive to Thai town and you live in LA west, and you're craving for Thai food, this is the place to go, but make careful choices for your food if you want authentic Thai food. I will work on the menu if I was the chef, some items will simply hurt the authenticity of this Thai restaurant, it should not become another fusion place in beverly hills.
We stumbled upon a charming Thai restaurant near Rodeo Drive, though it took us a while to locate it as the sign wasn't very visible. After circling the block a few times, we finally found it, and the food was absolutely worth the search! Plus, the service and ambiance were superb, adding to the overall delightful experience.
Must order: crab fried rice!
La Ong Thai restaurant in Beverly Hills, great first time trying this place.
From the wonderful ambiance to the food, every dish was a master piece.
Starting with chicken sate with pickled cucumbers,Tuna steak with peanut chili sauce, crispy pork with watercress, to the green curry with eggplant and Thai basil and noodles on the side.
The presentation and the flavors of every dish were excellent.
The service was great.
I would highly recommend this restaurant.
I’ve been to many Thai restaurants in the past but this is different, this place is special . By far one the BEST Thai food I’ve had.
Each plate tells a story of Thai food history and where it’s headed. Each plate is garnished with natural flavor , the perfect mix of seasonings , and intentional ingredients.
There was no artificial sugar to season things. From the minute we walked in the staff was so friendly and great servers. The menus also has vegetarian options . The food was phenomenal! I will definitely be coming back.
An Unexpectedly pleasantly experience. The staffs were friendly, and the food was high quality and delicious. We love the mango rice, one of the best I've ever had. The fish bass curry tastes a little flaky and is good with the sauce. The veggies in the rolls are fresh, crunchy and perfect with the sausage. Pad Thai was chewy. I like how they cooked the rice; it was soft but still had a grainy texture. The Thai tea was good as well, not too sweet.
Genuinely a great place. Food is incredibly great. Service is wonderful as well. All servers are always kind and smiling. I love coming here to dine in for some me time atmosphere is always warm and welcoming.
Very mediocre Thai. Especially for LA.
Love this place for a casual dinner. The food is very fresh and staff wonderful. Highly recommend the crab fried rice, noodle rolls with the sausage, papaya salad, and the chicken dish they are known for. The mango sticky rice is the best I’ve had!
Hmm the food tastes really basic.
Pretty good Thai food in the area. Usually come once every 2 months or so
The flavor was okay, but the Thai wings didn’t taste fresh at all. They seemed like they had been frozen for a long time, and there was a noticeable off-putting, almost spoiled meat taste. The waiter was helpful and canceled the wings for us, but we won’t be returning.
Everything is too sweet for us! I don't think this is thai food, Taste like Panda Express
Hands down , one of the best restaurants I've been ...
Highly recommended Thai cuisine in Beverly Hills. The staffs were lovely and friendly. The place has a very cozy vibe and adorable plants all over. Reservation is a must as it can get busy on the weekend. We had Chicharron and Organic Green roll for appetizers as they were suggested by our servers and we were very impressed. The peanut sauce for the oragnic green roll was very creamy and flavorful. For the main course, we had crab fried rice, super yummy and reasonable portion. We will definitely be back to try more dishes.
La ong is where you can taste the quality and tradition Thai food. If you're looking for the warm and cozy with the wonderful ambiance, this is the spot.I love that they have gluten free and vegan options also the portions are generous. Staff was amazing. Love this place, also best Pad Thai and green curry I've ever had.
This is written alongside the previous comment. Thank you for the reply. First of all we apologize for yelling in the restaurant. However, we were seated in the furthest table in the restaurant and were not sure if our early attempted communication succeeded with both of the servers who passed our table but didn’t see/ignored us. After a few failed attempts, we had no other choice but to raise our voice. We have been to your restaurant a couple of times before and this level of services were never encountered. The way the waitress looked at us tonight was horrifying and I’m holding myself back not to use any aggressive language to describe the face and look she gave us. We appreciate the good food but the service tonight was not only disturbing for the dinner but also our entire night. You cannot expect anyone to have a wonderful night after being looked at the way we were in a restaurant by a server. We are not expecting anything in return but just providing your restaurant with operational feedback.
We sat there for more than 5mins and no one was coming serving us water or to order. It wasn’t even busy in store. We tried to call the server as we were seated at the very back cuz we brought in a service dog, but none of the servers noticed us even many of them legit just walked by us. One young lady was finally here at the table which she side eyed us with a super unfriendly attitude and told us not to yell in the store, which we weee just trying to get someone to our table… super disappointed attitude. WILL NEVER COME BACK AGAIN.
This place is BEYOND amazing. Super cute, intimate. Food was hot and good. Service was pretty good. But the food was hot, they even have my favorite wine by the glass - Sancere- and it was just a great cute dinner. Impressed.
Best Thai food. I would 100% recommend. Try the chicharron and Tom yum soup. I’ll definitely be back.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at La Ong Thai in Beverly Hills. From the moment I stepped in, I was struck by the wonderful ambiance—it's cozy, warm, and has that perfect mix of modern and traditional Thai decor.
The food? Every dish was a masterpiece. I started with the chicken sate, paired with some tangy pickled cucumbers. The chicken was tender and full of flavor, and the pickles added a refreshing crunch. Next up was the tuna steak with peanut chili sauce. The sauce had a nice kick, complementing the perfectly cooked tuna. The crispy pork with watercress was another highlight—crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and the watercress added a nice, slightly peppery bite.
The green curry with eggplant and Thai basil was the star of the night. It was rich, creamy, and bursting with authentic Thai flavors. I had it with some noodles on the side, and it was a match made in heaven.
The presentation of each dish was just as impressive as the flavors—everything looked as good as it tasted. On top of all that, the service was excellent. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed.
I would highly recommend La Ong Thai to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. I can’t wait to go back and try more dishes!
Overly Sweet Thai Disaster
I'm not sure what happened to the traditional balance of flavors in Thai cuisine at this place, but everything I ordered was drowning in sweetness. The pad thai was more like a sugary noodle dessert than a savory dish. The green curry was an unpalatable sweet mess. If you have a sweet tooth and crave Thai food, this might be your spot, but for anyone looking for authentic Thai flavors, steer clear.
The server, Pui, was very rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful. He seemed like he was on some kind of power trip. We are regulars at this place, and we love the food. Customer service like this makes us think twice about spending our money here. This review is for the management. Please take care of this issue and work with the staff; this cannot happen, especially in Beverly Hills.
The food was too sweet, and the prices were much higher than other Thai restaurants, making it not worth the cost. Pad Thai--The eggs in fried noodles were burnt and extremely bitter. The green curry tasted almost entirely sweet.
Amazing!! Delicious food and super cute restaurant
Also loved this Thai restaurant which is right behind rodeo drive! We arrived before everyone came in for lunch so we got a table fast and the service was fast. The food is a little pricy as expected since it’s in a popular area but the food was delicious. We got the curry, wings (was a little dry but the sauce was great), and thai ice tea and the shrimp salad (sooooo good). The decor of the restaurant was so cute and modern. I loved everything about this visit and would recommend it!
This was some of the best Thai food I’ve had in a long time! It tasted incredibly authentic. The flavors of the drinks and food were amazing!
We will be back!
Great menu, good service, sizeable portions, and tasty food.
La Ong has become our absolute favorite spot to dine, and for good reason! Every visit is a delightful culinary journey filled with fresh and vibrant flavors that never disappoint.
My wife and I are regulars here, and we always start with the irresistible chicharron, which is perfectly crispy and flavorful. The papaya salad is a refreshing treat, beautifully balancing sweet and tangy notes. And don't get me started on the chili prawns - they are a spicy sensation that we can't resist ordering every time!
What impresses us most is the consistency of the dishes. No matter how many times we visit, the flavors are consistently fresh and bright, a testament to the skill and dedication of the chefs at La Ong.
Beyond our staple orders, the menu offers a fantastic variety that keeps us excited to try something new each visit. Whether it's exploring new flavors or enjoying our trusted favorites, La Ong always delivers.
The ambiance of the restaurant is equally charming - clean, well-maintained, and with a wonderful atmosphere that makes every meal feel special. The staff are friendly and attentive, adding to the overall welcoming experience.
La Ong truly captures everything we look for in a dining experience: delicious food, excellent service, and a warm ambiance. It's no wonder it has become our go-to restaurant. If you're looking for a place to enjoy fantastic Thai cuisine in a delightful setting, look no further than La Ong!
Food is really good for sure, but I notice the dish size is becoming smaller and smaller. I keep coming about once per month, it’s definitely smaller than what it was a few months ago. Don’t know if the prices changed, but still it’s not cheap.
10/10: papaya salad, green rolls (very fresh and mint forward), garlic noodles (delicious and huge portion), watercress side dish
We went on a weekday at 2pm so it’s not busy. The did not serve us water until we asked for it, twice.
The food is a joke, I honestly do t know how they got 4.5 stars at google. Wings are hard as rock ( overcooked), pad Thai taste worse than ones I had at food court… the mango coconut rice was okay but far from good.
Also hire a better waitress please. She did not bring us water or anything to drink when the place is not busy at all. They were just chatting.
When we left, we walked past 3 waiters /waitresses and no one said good bye.
Overall, I do not recommend this place.
Loved my meal here last night! I recommend the lard, crispy pork, and holy basil noodles with seafood. Friendly staff and cool space as well.
Can’t imagine entire restraint doesn’t have any phone charger. The only payment we carried at the day was Apple Pay, the waitress was just saying, apologies, we don’t have any cable at house. Nobody ever tried to find any. They don’t deserve any tips at all. Good food, but better get some nice waitress next time.
SO good!
I highly recommend the sea bass curry & mango sticky rice. The sea bass curry is lime-y, filling, and one of the best dishes I've had. The mango sticky rice is light and the perfect way to end the night.
Everyone was super nice and it's a cute spot to dine with friends!
The food was delicious and had very good presentation. The decor is beautiful and the prices are quite reasonable for Beverly hills
La Ong is wonderful. Located in Beverly Hills, it is pretty easy to get to and it is just lovely. Parking is valet for a fee.
Do make a reservation. This is fine dinning Thai food and all of it is amazing.
The place is ever so clean and it is so pretty inside, you will be comfortable and happy. The service is amazing. All the servers are nice and your food arrives right the first time and is pretty fast.
All of their food is great, but a must is their crab rice. It is the best. They also have a really good sea bass with curry and it is filled with flavor. The crispy egg rolls are some of the best you will have in the city.
Have the best time.
Definitely 💯 for creativity, food displays, location, fancy & upscale setting, BUT food and customer service.
My least favorite/worst Thai restaurant by far I haven’t tried in #losangeles . Their recipes are from different regions that you normally eat Thai foods in LA. For me too plain, not much of strong impression with their flavor with the dishes I tried on the video.
Almost $100 for 3 dishes and left dissatisfied and upset.
Thai flavor/ authenticity: 1.5/5
Customer service: 3/5 (quite rude and not welcoming)
Price & food matching level: 2/5
Not recommended.
Delicious and authentic. I will definitely come back! If you want real Thai food, this is the place!
Amazing Thai food.
The food was great. Such a lovely and friendly staff . I’m so glad I finally stopped in after walking by many times. Can’t wait to bring friends and fam back to try more dishes. The chicken soup was terrific!
Lovely and delicious
Food was decent but service was terrible. Staff didn’t even bother to acknowledge us when entering or leaving, zero effort given to explain the menu when asked, and felt rushed the entire time we were there. I addition, the bathroom was filthy. For the price they’re charging, the service did not even come close to meeting exceptions. Overall, we just didn’t feel welcome there at all…perhaps because we didn’t look like the typical Beverly Hills clientele. Def not going there again.
One of the best restaurants in LA
All. When thai food in Beverly Hills comes up I find it hard to convince myself to go there. I keep hearing about La Ong and finally did it with a visitor. All, this place is great. Great service and beautiful food. They push the limits of Thai cooking and deserves much more than the stars suggest. It’s also very clean and high quality ingredients. The chicken wings were popping with flavor and not your average thai wings. I never order branzino and they killed it with a friend branzino fillet on a bed of jasmine rice drenched in a light green curry. And pad thai was pretty good. Am coming back!
La ong is a chic restaurant that has energetic vibe (also loud) and Intagram-worthy interior with lots of green plants!
My friend and I ordered green curry, Tom Yum rice, and holy basil & ribeye, and Thai tea and lychee black tea for drinks.
Overall, food was 3.5 stars. Lychee black tea and was great. Green curry was good; the rice noodle was cooked perfect. The shrimps and scallops in Tom Yum rice were huge and also delicious. However, I was really disappointed with how hard ribeye was. Ribeye is one of the most tender parts in beef so I couldn’t understand how it could be cooked that stiff. All the dishes also have higher price tags than typical Thai food.
Their portion is big for a typical Asian; two dishes would certainly be enough for two people.
It’s a great place to have a great time with friends and share food together. However, I would keep off from ordering ribeye dishes.
It's a quaint lil spot. The outdoor seating was to die for . I tied the Thai wings, Tom yum soup and crab fried rice. It did not disappoint however I was a little shocked at the 112 Dolla bill afterward. Every dish was tasty and fresh. The sweet glaze on the Thai wings definitely have me wanting to return to try out other items. I put the Tom yum soup over the crab fried rice 😋 also the Thai limeade was refreshing and I loved the taste. Will definitely return 💯
Most of the dishes were a miss; from the pork belly to the larb, extremely mediocre. More bothersome was the exhaust bin the restaurant blowing back air where it shouldn't. The only redeeming dish was the fried chicken wings. Crab fried rice was blah. Give the place a miss.
La Ong Thai restaurant in Beverly Hills, great first time trying this place.
From the wonderful ambiance to the food, every dish was a master piece.

The service was great.
I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Everything is so yum, service is on point as well
Food was not good, they need to learn more about thai food from someone who actually knows. Service was long.
The whole place smells like kitchen makes your whole clothes smells.
Nice little Thai spot in Beverly Hills. Normally plenty of metered street parking across the street. I love the ambiance.
Their food was delicious - we had the brussel sprouts and the mint fresh rolls. The pad see ew and the ginger rice and beef which were all amazing. For the location, great price for the portions they serve.
A side note is they don’t sell wine by the glass it’s by the bottle. Other than that no complaints.
Great service good not consistent. Sometimes great and sometimes okay.
Not the original taste from Thailand, for me was too bland, not even so so. The dishes aren’t marked in their containers, also with the sauces, so everyone had to open and try everything to guess…
Too expensive for a Thai food, the portions were okay, but definitely lack of flavor.
The restaurant were clean and organized, the staff were kind and always smiling.
I’ll definitely will recommend to visit first Thai community or Town, so you can try the real thing and for a fraction of the price.
Would love to give more stars, but the flavor part and the expensive dishes for a normal Thai food… it’s not fair.
poor service
Amazing food and service. From drinks to dessert everything was tasty, flavorful and fresh as it can be.
Fantastic food. Service was excellent. Will be back.
Love Love Love - This is the spot and must a stop and dine on the Prawn Salad, Chili Wings and Sea Bass Curry Jasmine entre on your Bev Hills hopscotch.
Surprisingly very good, better than I expected. Shrimp salad was over the top, spicy, exotic and delicious. Sea bass was good. Not great. Pad Thai was nicely flavored and plentiful. Nice interior and attentive service.
We got recommendations from our friends to eat at La Ong and we have ordered the Thai wings out of this world loved also the salad and other dishes. Service was amazing too. Definitely worth to checkout
I honestly don’t want this place to be any more popular. I want this place to be available for me lol. Everything I ordered was so good. Laong salad was really good with sieved egg, Thai wings were perfectly seasoned, crab fried rice had real soft crab meats not those dried kind. Seabass Southern Thai curry was my favorite. Fish was so soft and grilled perfectly. I love how cute it is too.
Everything we had was delicious. Especially the Penang curry and sea bass!
Nice Thai restaurant!! Great selection for Thai food.
The team behind The Thai Thing does it again. Great flavors in an comfortable setting. A gem in Beverly Hills!
Absolutely best Thai food of my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is probably the best Thai restaurant I’ve ever eaten at the staff was very friendly and the food was extremely good especially the roast chicken I highly recommend this restaurant to all the people in Beverly Hills
Severely overpriced for the quality
Definitely one of the best curry I ever experienced! This restaurant is well located and the waiters / ess are such lovely people.
I cannot express how phenomenal this restaurant was. We got to meet the owner Bonnie who is so passionate about the menu and the food that is served. The quality of the dishes, from taste to presentation, was unbelievable. My boyfriend and I shared the egg rolls, chili shrimp, green curry, ribeye ginger fried rice, and mango compote sticky rice. All were exceptional and I’m usually a harsh critic. New favorite place, cannot wait to go back. 10/10!!!
Incredibly flavorful food, plentiful menu with some classics as well as more creative dishes. Delicious!
food ok but not so authentic Thai
High quality ingredients, great taste.
The food was excellent! My wife and I went to celebrate the new job I got. We had the egg rolls to start, and boy, did they not disappoint. They are a bit messy, though, as the lettuce didn't fit around the roll. I got the sea bass, my wife got the steak and ginger rice, and to split, we got the garlic noodles as our meals. The steak and rice came out first. The steak was so tender, and the rice was perfect. All the flavors complement each other. The dressing for the greens was even good on the steak. The garlic noodles I could not stop eating the. They were perfect. I could taste the garlic. We got chicken, and it was not dry at all. They were lovely size pieces, and the portion was massive. We have leftovers for lunch and dinner! Now to the sea bass....the fish was cooked perfectly.
The skin was so crunchy, and the fish itself was so juicy. The curry had just the right amount of heat for my liking. The sticky mango rice was our dessert, the mango was ripe, and the sticky rice was hot and sticky. The servers were so friendly the only thing is we waited a while, and for us, it was fine. We were doing a date night. I would have just had the drinks to us before we got the appetizer. I don't mind waiting, but the drinks were so good we wanted two. We only got one because it took so long for them to come out. Always send the drinks out first.
Just go here. Food is amazing. Great service, very friendly, reasonable prices.
Service and atmosphere was excellent. Food was good but not well described on the menu, as a result, expectations and taste buds were not aligned. I would go again. Oh and I was told by the server that real iced Thai coffee should taste like chocolate milk, I don't know if that's true?
Exelente servicio,
La comida es deliciosa
100% Recomendado 🤩😃

Location is 7/10. Right downtown Beverly Hill, so it is good to take walk and watch people after your meal if you can find a parking spot. Food 6.5 out of 10. Clean and well presented but tasted so-so. The larb (ground meat salad) is quite bland compared to the standard of this dish. The pad Thai is too sweet. The chicken wing dish is not seasoned enough, and tastes more like plain, generic deep fried chicken wing. Service is 8.5/10. Servers are polite and quick, although the dessert dish can take a while to make (15 minutes), but at least the staff tells you to order ahead if you want it. The price is 4.5/10. It is a bit overpriced for a Thai restaurant even for Beverly Hills standard. But the real downer is that they slam you with a 20% automatic gratuity charge on your check if you are a party of 6 or more. OK fair enough, even though I would tip 20% these days anyway, especially when I like the serving staff. What I have a problem with is they did not post it anywhere to inform you ahead. Not on the menu, not on the table, not from the staff. This gratuity charge is the establishment policy, not a tax. Therefore, it should be considered as part of the price, and you should be informed about that before you order.
I will not come back and would recommend you drive a little bit further to Korean Town, China Town or Vietnamese Town to get better food for a lower price
Pork belly was incredible. Pad thai was super bland and tasteless, and the $6 shrimp on it was 5 dry overcooked pieces. Nothing bad about this place if you happen to be in the neighborhood, but I wouldnt recommend it either, especially for the price.
Such incredible thai food!! Definitely the best I’ve had in LA. Must try the veggie wraps, pad kee mao (drunken noodles), and paratha dessert.
Finally Thai food in Beverly Hills! Very nice atmosphere, clean and modern. Ordered Pad Gaprow for lunch with Thai Tea, loved both and the server, Nu was super friendly and nice to suggest some prik nam pla(chili fish sauce) to add to my food. Prices are what you would expect in 90210, so definitely not an everyday lunch for most, but not outrageous either. Thai tea is a must try here, tastes like the real one you would have anywhere in Thailand. Highly recommend!
Tasty dishes and excellent service. Impressive wine by the glass options. Want to go back!
Beautiful place and great service but the food&drinks were so below par I can’t rate it any higher.
We got Thai ice coffee which was at most average, too sweet compare to standard Thai iced coffee.
The Thai wings were coated with a thick layer of flour but were not fried properly, the meat was also plain and and bit dry. No one on the table took a second one.
We ordered sea bass curry rice and a few other for entrees. Main complaint is the curry rice. Man, I’ve never seen so much rice and so little curry in one entree. The curry was only enough for about 1/6-1/8 of the rice. It was a sea bass sitting on a mountain of rice. Also zero veggie.
Every random local thai food stop I’ve been to in LA beats this place. Not coming back.
Service was so friendly & helpful. We loved everything we ordered. Sooooooo good!!! Definitely will return.
An Unexpectedly pleasantly experience. The staffs were friendly, and the food was high quality and delicious. We love the mango rice, one of the best I've ever had. I like how they cooked the rice; it was soft but still had a grainy texture. The Thai tea was good as well, not too sweet.
Delicious food - the Thai wings, the brussel sprouts, the sea bass and curry OMG. Everything was perfect!
Our server was super sweet and friendly. The food is absolutely amazing. The Brussel sprouts and some kind of Thai fried rice delicious. Everything we had was great really yummy Saki!! Definitely a great spot!!
Great food and service. Probably best Thai food I have had on the west side.
The food was real good, the sea bass was cooked with just the right amount of crisp. Garlic noodles with large grilled shrimp was delicious!!! Papaya salad and spring rolls were nice too! I would eat here again
Sandra from OK
All I can say is amazing......perfection.....the restaurant is beautiful from the decor to the staff.....food is so amazing.....the combination of flavors are a masterpiece in the dishes....Congratulations on bringing your skill set to the area...
OMG!!! This was the BOMB!! 🔥🔥🔥
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!
My first time here and it will definitely NOT be my last! I came for lunch with a friend and it was simply AMAZING!
I had the Pad Kee Mao with Chicken and fell in love with this dish! Sorry no photo this time but will take one next time!
Great food, fantastic service!
