Extremely dirty place I went and as soon as keegot there I saw mold on the walls dirty floors food was over priced and they only gave us 2 places for a family of 4 and when we go up to ask when the waiter who goes inside we see 2 roaches walk out and it looked like one of the roaches had stuff on its back after we complained they still asked us to pay around 40 bucks extremely low portions bland flavorless food I tried the food it tasted bland I would not recommend eating here very nasty place the health department needs to shut it down I saw mold roaches and a bad environment extremely horrible place.

This place has really turned gross nothing is fresh it just keeps getting worse, it is more expensive with out the quality they use to have. I will not recommend this place to anyone. It makes me give them a star otherwise I would not.

This is was our first time eating here , our favorite is on the area of Hollywood, but now that we move here , we found one here on Bakersfield and let me tell you , it’s really delicious and the service was really good, food quality great, I definitely recommend you the restaurant, we came Friday and the restaurant was empty for us ❤️ I would definitely come back with my family 👍🏼

Food was okay but service was extremely not acceptable. Customers after us were getting their food and they ordered after us (even a bigger party got their food before us) and we arrived 20 minutes earlier. When questioned, we got "we are short staff.". I understand being short staff but how does 2 groups get their soup first when we ordered first. Also, the soup was super sour! I understand tom yum is sour but not that sour that it takes the taste away (if I wanted that sour, I would've just bite into a lemon or lime). Visited from out of town so never going there again. 40 minutes later (just ordered two dishes), ruin my mood so just packed to go.

Low quality food, refused to give any kind of condiments like hot sauce, peanut sauce or limes for the lard salad that had two small Romain lettuce leaves, ( how cheap can you get)? When ordering online there are two seperate sections that are for additional requests that are both purposely ignored (because they are so cheap) they claim that they did not see it. The beef is very minimal and extreme low quality. Way overpriced and not worth the money at all. What a big ripp off.

I’ve been coming to Ocha at least once a week since landing back in Bakers, not only do they have good food and drinks their service is top tier (Santiago) huge shout out to santi for always being so sweet and welcoming to everyone he is amazing fast, pays attention to detail, friendly thank you for being the cherry on top of everything Ocha has to offer!! The Thai tea he makes is a must 😋

DO NOT ORDER the TOM YUM. It's waaaaay too sour. My wife had stomach upset and she told the staff. A waitress said that Tom Yum was supposed to be like that, and they got into a big fight. The waitress had to bring her husband to do take care of this. Bad staff, but pho was good. Otherwise it's a 2-star.

We couldn’t have been happier with this family restaurant! The menu was extensive and our choices delicious. My husband had the special that did not disappoint, and I had the amazing pumpkin spicy curry.

Ordered the Tuesday special Beef Pho and combination Pad Thai. Also ordered a Thai tea with boba. I forgot to take pictures but everything was delicious. The pho was so flavorful and the beef was tender. All the veggies were super fresh. Our waiter Santiago was the best (really nice and friendly). He’s also very quick and straight to the point. We really enjoyed the environment (nice music and tv in the background) minus the rude customer behind us. She had an attitude while ordering her 7 seas soup and I didn’t like how she spoke to Santiago. I’m glad he kept his cool and laughed it off. I hope she gets better and reflects on how she snapped for no reason. Well back to my review of Ocha lol All the staff is nice and courteous. We will definitely be coming back again.

Mom and I were out and about shopping and craved a good soup. Thai came to mind so off the hunt we went since my favorite restaurant had closed. It did not survive covid. Enter Ocha Thai Restaurant. They were the winner based on their reviews.

Service: We were immediately welcomed and were seated. No wait. Our waitress was attentive and knew her stuff. It was out first time so she was great with giving us recommendations.

Food: Menu has lots of choices! Food took a little bit, bit the food seems to be made to order, so not going to complain about that.

Mom ordered the Tum Yum soup which had good flavor and you can order it as you like it with veggies and protein. I liked that! Mom was able to take home leftovers and had the soup for lunch the next day.

I ate the yellow curry. It had the right spice level, which they also let you determine. I ate it all up. No leftovers.

Limitless white rice and soda.

Atmosphere: Overall good, but the restaurant could use a spruce up. Get someone to come in and clean the windows.

Go/NoGo: Go. Definitely recommend to check them out.

Bomb! Awesome service and food.
Vegetables are fresh and have good texture.
The orange chicken has a great batter and when I ordered it to go, they left the sauce on the side so that it didn't get soggy.
The beef and broccoli is clean and flavorful.
Green curry is perfection.

We had the red curry tofu, Tom Yum vegetable and cashew nut.. we eat thai food and least once a week and have been to so many but this one is the most authentic, - ten stars! Sammy and the staff are great.

My daughter and I decided to try this establishment after her dental appointment. I love Thai food, but haven't been in a Thai restaurant in a long time. We are not familiar with Kern County area yet and have been exploring and trying different places. This place had good reviews. Now, I know why. Great food! Great service! Great people! We also got take-out for my brother to try some of their dishes from the menu. Definitely eating here again when we are in Bakersfield.

Thai Ocha in Bakersfield is one of the best Thai restaurants we´ve ever been! The food was more than just amazing and the server – Kimberly – was at least as awesome as the food. First time trying it it was delicious! We both had pad thai it looked like a small serving but it actually alot of food. It was steaming hot like they actually made it when we were ordered it. The service was okay. The girl was nice and engaged with their regulars. The one who was really nice I'm assuming was the busser. He asked if I was a mother (Mexican mothers day) and he gave us a scoop of ice cream. Which was hilarious because we were going for ice cream after dinner. The busser was so sweet, I believe the cook or someone else asked how our food was. Anywho, environment was nice. Employees were sweet. We will definitely come back.

Ocha is always a great place to eat. My family and I love their seafood soup and it can feed up to 4 people depending if you have boys like me. Then it feed 3 lol. They are accommodating to their customers, very attentive, great service, and I have to complaints about this Thai restaurant. Definitely a must try place.

This Thai food restaurant has been around town for a long time, has a family restaurant feel to it. The food was good and came in large portions. I only gave it four stars due to the long wait on to pay at the end when we were done and ready to go. They only had one server. Other than that, this place is worth a visit with friends and family.

Very good food service.

I had to go pad thai with chicken and drunken noodles with chicken. Pad thai comes with cabbage salad (?). The pad thai sauce is mild and not too sweet. Not as bold as other places I had been to. The noodle they use for pad thai is close to pho, a little "skinner" and softer then I used to. Drunken noodles flavor is also kind of light. It's missing dried scallions flavor. Overall not bad but not good either. Chicken in both dishes are on the dry and blend side. However, their chilli oil (not the chilli sauce) was very spicy and good. Would have given 3 stars but Staff are very friendly and nice.

Best Thai food hands down!!! I ran into this little hole in the wall and I was walking To shake and buns to grab a burger and saw Ocha Thai, I decided to go eat in there instead by myself. I was welcome by a man waiter Sammy and he recommended a seafood soup. I’ve had Ocha in LA before so I’m very familiar with the seafood soup but man this seafood soup taste way different compared to the ones in LA! It taste better And the chef in the back let me sample the broth to my liking and told me I can get it customize the way I like it This place caters to their customer and their hospitality is wonderful! I will be coming back to this place more often and I will bring my whole family and let all my friends know

We really enjoyed this place. It's in a funky little strip mall in what is not the best part of town, but the food was really good and the staff was very friendly. We went twice.

Food was AMAZING. Got take out and once I got into the car, it filled up with the delicious aroma of the shrimp. Sammy helped me and he was helpful, funny, and kind. I would most definitely recommend this place to my family and friends. I definitely recommend the rice with mango and coconut milk 10/10

Mediocre service, mediocre food (I've had way better), mediocre prices. Maybe it was just the day I went. Only been there once got food to go and was a little disappointed with everything. I know this bad days for everyone not everyday is gonna be great but I find it hard to try to give it a second try.

I called in an order to be picked up, fresh spring rolls, pad see ew, and drunken noodles both with combination beef and shrimp. On the phone I was told that my order would be ready in 15 minutes and I live about a stones throw away, so when I left 10 minutes later and arrived my food was hot and ready to go! Didn't interact long with the employees or owner, but they were friendly enough and got me checked out fast. I went in on a Saturday night and found the place busy but not unreasonably packed. They definitely seem to be a local hot spot for good Thai food.

The food we had was really good, and the peanut sauce that came with the spring roll was absolutely delicious. The prices were decent, the portions are good, and the produce is fresh, which makes a big difference in SE Asian cuisine. Really looking forward to trying more of their menu and definitely putting Ocha Thai Restaurant into the cravings rotation!

We used to live in the neighborhood and are here often. Whenever we're back in the area this is a favorite spot for Thai food. We really enjoy the flavor and spices in the food.

The food is amazing!, but the older server or maybe shift manager seemed to be high or on drugs. The younger server was very kind and showed work initiative.

New management? I'm not complaining. The food was good but is now better than ever! Their Pad Thai and Pad See Ew recipes were updated and are delicious!

My wife just called me while trying to picknup our food that she ordered over the phone 45 minutes ago, and they completely 100% jacked up the order.

I remember a few months ago, a Thai family running this restaurant solely.

Come to find out, the only Thai person in the joint is the cook. The rest of the establishment is ran people that should be working at McDonald.

We won't be eating there anymore.

The food is to die for its a hidden gem in Bakersfield. I would recommend the Tom yum noodles soup combo the broth is very rich and flavorful. I would also recommend the spring rolls or narutomaki “fish cakes” as appetizers they are very good. It’s a very chill and calm spot to have a quick meal 10/10 BEST THAI RESTAURANT IN BAKERSFIELD.
