We spoke with the owner Mary; she was very polite and we had variety of items on the menu Tom yum soup , orange chicken, combination rice, and pang Thai noodles with a couple of drinks. Came out to about $100 for 5 dishes not bad, Great food great service definitely come back next time.

I have been a patron of Thai Nary BBQ for years, as her homemade Thai Food is the best traditional Thai eats this side of Thai Town!

This cozy little eatery is located at 459 South Azusa Ave, just North of Gladstone.

Today, I ordered the Pad see ew, which is my favorite Thai dish.

Nary makes her own spices and also mixes them with others for a home recipe.

The noodles were perfect with her secret seasoning that made the chicken a scrupulous treat.

The plate was mixed with a generous serving of cooked carrots and broccoli, and it was so good I just couldn't eat it fast enough.

I was served promptly and was amazed of how fast I got my meal.

But that's not all!

Thai Nary BBQ has many favorite traditional Thai dishes, like Panang curry with rice, Shrimp Tempura or Papaya Salad.

Her Thai Coffee is simply the greatest, and I ordered two glasses with my visit.

I love coming here because I step out of California right into Thailand!

I ordered short ribs which was 15.99 and they charged me 3.00 for rice. I thought that was silly just giving me 3 to 4 pieces of meat and no rice. I order from other places and for 15.99 it always comes w rice !! Last time I will eat from this place

Ordered the papaya salad, pad thai and yellow curry. The food was excellent and the owner very friendly. Unfortunately they left out the yellow curry and we didn't realize our order was short until we arrived home. If went back a few days later and tried the yellow curry, it was worth the extra trip back 😋

We had dinner twice here at Thai Nary bbq for our trip to LA. Lemongrass tea was my absolute favorite. The main dishes are so delicious and flavorful. The customer service was above and beyond. Very kind and welcoming people, & they got us our food in less than 10 minutes (there was no one else inside the restaurant but us). However, The mango sticky rice had very sour and hard mangos , and rice was not well done. Fried banana was great. The only thing that bothered me was the kitchen , I just felt like it was not as clean and had a very unpleasant smell (the bathroom is right there in the kitchen) hence I had to go through the kitchen. Otherwise, it’s a hidden gem :)

I had the Tom Kah Khai it was so flavorful it was perfect on a day after the Hurricane. I also got the pad sea euw it was perfect along with the orange chicken it fantastic.

Really sad to say I didn’t enjoy this. To be fair it did sit for a couple of hours before we ate it but the green curry was very runny and had a strong aniseed taste. The pad Thai had what looked like marinara in it. It was bizarre to be honest. Steam dumplings were ok

Swinging by to pick up some to go order in the evening, the sign was unlit or pitch dark, even naked eyes could miss this place as much as the very blind from up close, it was telling what ensued. I noticed barely a few customers dispersed in the dining area. The server at the counter hinted he would tend to my order right away, then advised it might take 5 minutes to fill it. Way more than those minutes passed, I checked again, he uttered oops and started rambling that the kitchen missed or forgot one of my items, trying to mislead they had made any, if at all, topping it off by mentioning I could file a complaint online, I was puzzled if that was admitting guilt or an empty dare. While I got caught off guard by his make shift antics or poorly rehearsed gibberish, another customer shared she had waited for 20 some minutes already. I looked at the mountain-high of to-go orders piling behind the counter, not surprised they scrambled to deal with the built-up pipeline, an indication of short handed or poor work flow!
Although I did turn around and walk out, would care less to file any complaint than getting my food timely and out of there in no time. Nonetheless, here is for the record, watching out for what one wished for!

Prices of everything have gotten high but the food at Thai nary is still good and one of the better Thai food places in the area.

My sister-in-law Brenda told us about this delicious thai food place to eat, so we stopped by today and ordered food to go. We met the owner Nary who was so sweet and delightful. She took our huge order, and we sat in her diner and waited. She was very attentive and very sincere, and she shared personal stories while we waited. We went home and ate, and I was blown away on how good everything tasted. We’ve been eating Thai food for over 30 years in Southern California, and I will say this place is now in my top two!!!! Stopped for a quick dinner while in the area, craving Thai food. Absolutely worth it! Everything was freshly made and had on point flavors, not too heavy on the stomach. The fresh brewed lemongrass tea was especially yummy, not overly sweet or sour from the limes; I wish I could have it every day!

The older gentleman who took our order was genuine and treated us like family, cracking jokes and making sure we were taken care of. Such a sweet, welcoming environment!

I'd absolutely come back here the next time we're in the area, even if it's just for the tea :)

Apparently they pretend to be a full restaurant in this hole in the wall, except apparently only have 1 cook. If you're a gig worker you're better off declining the order.

Thai food,but this place don’t deliver but talking to a beautiful angel today she said they might start delivering. I said please I always ask , I bought me the Mongolian food yummy! order a coke but the princess forgot , and hooked it up with another one. besides the great food , the girl that helped me today was not only gorgeous but excellent customer service , suggested a dish , im trying next time I didn’t get her name she’s adorable with all respect the 5 stars they earned it great taste place !

While visiting Los Angeles, I decided to stop by this restaurant after reading the good reviews.

Once I got there, it certainly did not disappoint. It was a small restaurant but very clean.

I decided to try the yellow curry chicken and my wife decided to get the pad thai. Both dishes were amazing!!
My kids, who are usually very picky eaters, decided to eat the shrimp fried rice and the Pad See Ewu. They both finished the dishes completely.

I will have to stop by one more time before I leave Los Angeles.

Place is small but perfect! Seating arrangements are plenty. Tom Yum seafood, chicken fried rice and pad se ew noodles were chosen for today's round. Tom Yum was flavorful with the right amount of spice, everything complimented the dish! Chicken fried rice was good, no complaints there. Pad se ew noodles, they had great flavor, as well, the ingredients that were used were fresh and well put together! Only thing I would say is if they were to have fountain drinks instead of bottles and cans (but hey some people like that)

Overall I would definitely (HIGHLY) recommend this location to anyone indecisive about which thai place to goto.

Although the young man was extremely courteous and service was exceptional the food i just didnt like the pad thai was gooey no flavor the chix satay no missing key components the only iten i give a 10 to is their mango with sticky rice ...thus alone is why i am gonna continue to go here ...the mango ripened at its peak flavor perfect the rice is fabulous its purple with a hint of sweetness just right amou nt of coconut. ..and it is abundant..they could make millions off this alone

Before then, I had only had Thai food maybe 3 times in my life. But I am hooked because of Thai Nary. First off, their food is delicious, which is important. But in addition to a wide variety of options, the family that runs the place makes you feel special and appreciated. They are THE nicest people - gracious, cheery, and helpful. Don't know what to order? Try the Yellow Curry, the combination Fried Rice, or the Pad See Ew. And if you like mango (at all), you must get the Mango with Sticky Rice dessert (you'll thank me). The Restaurant has a lovely decorated ambience. It is home to gorgeously delicious cuisine. Every dish is beautiful and tastes divine. All the ingredients are fresh and have a unique flavor. There is something special and welcoming about small dining establishments run by families. Not only is Thai Nary restaurant cozy and welcoming, the staff/owners treat every customer with dignity and respect.

While the food might not be on par with competitive, larger Thai restaurants, from the Thai Village area of Los Angeles, off the 101 freeway, exiting Hollywood Blvd., it is still tasty and flavorful.

Personally, I'm a big fan of Thai food prepared with fiery spicyness but I understand full well that the owner and the chef of this small Thai restaurant prefer a more balanced approach to their food preparation and I'm okay with that.

I'm just happy and appreciative of having a decent Thai restaurant in the Lower Azusa area that satisfies my Thai food cravings , without having to make a nightmarish journey all the way to Hollywood's Thai Village.

I like their Pad Thai and Prik King with pork when the urge hits.

The green curry is excellent as well as the yellow curry. Spicy and extremely flavorful. I opted for brown rice and really enjoyed it. It has lemon grass, and some other spjces that adds a very distinct aroma to the curry. Might be too hot for people that avoid spicy food. Make sure to try their thai tea it's strong smoky flavor is delicious.

Thai Nary is amazing. Jeanie the waitress is awesome. The food is very well prepared. The desserts are super yummy. It's worth the money and that's coming from someone who's on the frugal side. Call ahead to order or be ready for a wait because they get real busy. The wait speaks to how good they are. The atmosphere is super chill. I've seen business men sitting along side casually dressed patrons. All are welcome.

This is the best Thai restaurant I have found. Food is great and so is the service. Prices are reasonable.

I bought the panang curry because it said recomended in ubereats ended up with soup...they water down their currys and use cheap ingredients im part thai eaten thai food for 20 years never have i eaten curry this discusting. If you guys cooking this food think its thai food think again its like a child made this meal. 12$ in the trash.

I've been to so many Thai restaurants and their food is good not great compared to others. Customer service needs improvement. They forgot one of our orders and they made so many excuses like they only have 1 cook and she got confused with the orders and forgot and so on.

Love this place. Friendly and the food is fire!!! Have yet to order a meal here that I don't like. P.s. best Milk Tea with boba EVER!!!
