A hidden gem in Arcadia. This restaurant has been here forever and became part of Arcadia establishment. Because of its good Thai foods, typically this place is packed. It’s advisable to order ahead before coming.

The restaurant is located on first and Duarte in Arcadia, serving only take out and catering. The Thai foods here are top notch and delicious. I particularly like their pad Thai. It’s very authentic with all the fresh Thai ingredients. The sweetness and sour taste create a beautiful taste. The noodle is cooked to the right doneness. Another favorite of mine is their pad see ew fried noodle with beef. I love the sweet soy sauce in the noodle. My wife loves their green papaya salad. The mixing sauce comes with just the right combination of Sweetness and vinaigrette taste.

The menu is very comprehensive. We have had a chance to try all of them. That’s why we keep coming back for more.

The portions were big especially papaya salad and food tastes fine. However, there was a piece of aluminum/ stainless steel string in pine apple fried rice. The stainless steel string that can be found in the scrubber. If I don’t feel it with my teeth, it could have stuck in my throat. A child could have eaten it and the consequences could be dire. I stopped eating the fried rice as worried that there might be more pieces. I’ll be showing the stainless steel piece to the restaurant staff as well.
Also, I ordered TongYum but they gave me Tongka (the one with coconut).

One of the best Thai foods I've ever had. I now refuse to go anywhere else - you just can't beat the quality for the price! My favorites are the Pad Thai noodles, Crab Fried Rice, Green Curry, and Tom Kha soup. It's a small shop only good for takeout orders with plentiful neighborhood parking. Highly recommend Spices Thai Kitchen!!

This is a take out only joint. But their food is legit. And they give good quantity as well. My favorite dishes are the BBQ pork, crispy pork with Chinese broccoli, pad see yu with beef, papaya salad, carb fried rice, and pineapple curry with chicken. And when they it, get their mango with sticky rice dessert. It's sooooo good! The owners are nice, but the wait can be a bit on busy days. So order ahead of time.

Friendly service and good food with lots of wok-hei. As other reviews mentioned it's takeout only. I came here for the first time and ordered the Pad Thai. Solid choice, big portions. I might try the Pad See Ew next time. Personal preferences: the Pad Thai sauce was a little too sweet and could have been more sour and spicy.

Picked this up on my way home from work, and barely made it before they closed. Everyone there was EXTREMELY friendly and kind. I was only picking up, so I only saw a small area for pickup. This area was very welcoming, especially when paired with the warm and inviting service. We tried the pad Thai, fried rice, panang curry, egg rolls, and sweet sticky rice. The only reason that I wouldn't order any of these dishes again is because there are so many other tempting options to try. My kids weren't crazy about all of the dishes, but nothing out of the ordinary for the limited taste palatesthat some children have. My wife and I were very happy with every dish, and there was enough leftover for a second night of dinner. Don't forget the Thai iced tea, it's also delicious.

OK if you look at my reviews, I don’t just trash a place. Especially small local places. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt. I went here for takeout dinner. I ordered day special prik khing curry with side of spring rolls. The spring rolls were soft and not very good. They gave me the curry with no rice. When I called them later to tell them that, they said the curry doesn’t come with rice, and you have to order rice separately. Would’ve been smart of the lady taking my order to have told me I would need to order rice as well. The curry was bland. Overall, I spent $30 got some mushy spring rolls and beans with six shrimp.

I've had Thai food from everywhere and this was one of the best. We ordered 3 dishes - the pad Thai was authentic tasting with a real tamarind flavor that I never get anywhere else. Pad see ew was a delicious smoky barbecue like flavor and the curry was an extremely generous portion loaded with vegetables and chicken. The spiciness at level 8 was perfect.

I think this is the best Thai restaurant in the area. Portions are good for the price and the food is delicious. The spice level is definitely on the Thai scale so be warned.

This is alright Thai food. Although the owners are Thai, it doesn't taste very authentic--most likely because of using local ingredients.

There is not as much spice as I would like. Nothing tastes bad, just not great either. Their foods are extremely oily compared to other Thai places.

I placed an order for a company lunch. This was my first time ordering from here. The customer service was EXCEPTIONAL and the food was delicious! I am definitely coming back.

I was bit disappointed since we drove all the way there just to find out they were taking only orders for to go 🙄😅

They used to be a 5-Star treat, but I'm afraid they're either under new ownership or just quit trying. The last 3 visits there were disappointing. The combo rice is flavored with MSG-ladened smoke flavoring, and none of the meats or veggies will be cut with any care or mastery. If you ask for peanut sauce for your Pad Thai, you won't get anything. If you ask again, they'll assure you they put it in the bag, but they won't. When you receive your order and ask them where the peanut sauce is, they'll say it's in the bag and shoo you away, and when you show them it's not in the bag, they'll give you a small clear container with chopped peanut chunks. Order 4 dishes for a family and ask for chop sticks, you'll get a single pair and be shooed away. This has happened the last 3 visits there.
Again, Spices Thai was, for years, a wonderful, hidden treat that was enjoyed by the locals. It's now a dilapidated, dirty take out only establishment with increased costs, diminished quality, and a staff that doesn't know what Thai Peanut Sauce is. If you went to a burger joint and all of a sudden they didn't care about cleanliness and didn't know what ketchup was, would you continue to go there?
We won't be ordering there again. If you're considering them, there's a dozen better places to try. Most will be cheaper, and all will be better. RIP Spices Thai.

Ordered the chicken pad thai. Most Thai restaurants I've been to have mediocre but this one hits close to home. Very goog portion sizes. Best BANG for you BUCK. If you like spicy they got it! With a scale 1-10. If you like spicy spicy but not too spicy I strongly recommend level 8. ONLY TAKE OUT!!!!!! So head to Eisenhower Park to enjoy some great food.

Don't let looks deceive you. While at first glance it may look like a hole in the wall, the food here is amazing. I have yet to order anything here and be disappointed. My favorite is the beef or seafood salad extra spicy. Best Thai restaurant that I have found.

Today was my first time here and it will be my go to Thai restaurant from now on. Everything was made to order, perfectly seasoned, and delicious. My mom and I enjoyed their pad thai, tom kha soup, and green curry. Today was my mom's first experience having Thai food and she loved it! Looking forward to trying other dishes. Oh, their thai tea is perfectly sweetened too.

Great service, very kind and reasonable prices for the great flavors the food provides. I love their pad thai, very tasty without too much or too little flavors. Their thai iced tea is a very great price if you just want the thai iced tea, it only comes in one size but still a great deal. It's a little gem in a small quiet street around town, there's a park next to go to sit and eat. I will definitely be coming back as I enjoyed my experience and hope to be a regular and try out more of their dishes.

Tried Spices Thai Kitchen off a recommendation. Haven't tried everything on the menu, but Spices Thai has quickly turned to THE spot for curry for my group. This is a pick-up-and-go place, there are only benches to sit and wait for your order. Do not expect to eat here.

Staff: Friendly, mostly focused on getting their orders done
Food: Only tried a handful of dishes outside the curry, they were okay. The curry tho - you get that curry and you'll be gifted with a gigantic container of pure spicy deliciousness. Easily worth 3-4 portions per container, we always have leftovers. The spice levels are good. My primary dining companion and spice connoisseur
Drinks: Only tried the Thai tea, first time it tasted off but second time it was great. It's only $1.50 so worth the gamble.

A friend suggested Spices Thai to us for dinner and we have gone back twice a month for almost a year now. The staff is always friendly and quick and the food is consistently delicious. It often is only a 20 minute wait for pickup and the food is always hot and fresh. We’ve had about half a dozen items on the menu, all of which were great. Our favorite dish is the Pad Thai Chicken. Their rolls and wontons are also delicious. The food had an added quick with their fresh Thai chili paste. I would definitely recommend Spices Thai !

I have been coming to this restaurant for 6 years . A couple days ago I ordered the salmon fried rice easy spicey. I took the order to go . When I got home it was super spicey could not eat it ! I went back and told the female owner and her response was I do not remember . And we will not remake for you. Will never go back to this place as long as I live.

This is take out ONLY. Call in your order, come and pick it up. Good food but not quite authentic, generous portions. STOP. Ate here yesterday, people have changed. Portions have been cut in half. Anyone know? Did this place change hands? Wife had what she always gets, she said same old, same old.
I had something new, it was good.
I also ordered the six piece shrimp tempura appetizer. It is NOT tempura, it is a bread crumb batter, not very good at all. The shrimp were tiny, along with mushrooms, broccoli, onion rings and zucchini. Won't ever order it again. And since I am not sure why the portions were all cut in half, they used much smaller containers to package the meals, I may not be ever going back.

It took me 40 minutes to get my one bowl of noodles.. I ordered my drink before a group of people but they got their drinks before me

Fun, pretty cool, hole-in-the wall -type place with a friendly cashier. You don't see any other staff besides her bc the chefs are in the kitchen. There are no tables inside or outside this establishment and thus this is a strictly take-out type of place.
Very generous portions. We ordered:
-Pad Thai: D+ I rate all my experiences of Thai food based on the ability to make a excellent Pad Thai... Sadly this was the worst Pad Thai I have eaten thus far. If you need sauces to save a Pad Thai, in my opinion: it just doesn't hold up. Spices and sauces are meant to enhance flavor and should never be expected to save it. I choose to think that I may have just eaten their Pad Thai on a day where some other factor(s) where at play and which prevented me from experiencing a better tasting food : )
-Chicken Egg Rolls: B+ Surprisingly, pretty good. Nice texture and flavor. I noticed the spices in the egg roll. I would order this again but would look forward to also trying their vegetable egg rolls.
-Pork Fried Rice: D+ Very generous portions though! Unfortunately, not to my liking. I understand that every restaurant has their own unique way and style of how they prepare their own fried rice. I didn't like the ingredients they choose to use. Perhaps I was expecting more of a 'Chinese Style' fried rice; which isn't to be expected when ordering fried rice at a place that specializes in Thai food. In other words, I'm not a big fan of Thai style fried rice and again am happy to concede that perhaps I ordered this dish on a day where other factor(s) where at play and which prevented me from having a great dining experience with this particular dish : )
-Spicy Egg Plant with Chicken: A+ This was, in my opinion, spectacular. In fact, I ate this with the Thai Fried rice with pork and it helped tremendously in assisting me in eating the fried rice! In my opinion, you shouldn't depend on other dishes to help dishes that are lagging. Still this was a great dish to experience and one I would do again!
