I finally found a hidden gem in Northwest Arkansas serving delicious Hawaiian food—let me introduce you to Homie Thai Food and Grilled in Springdale, AR!

This afternoon, I was craving an Agua Fresca, but as I parked, a sign in the window caught my eye: Loco Moco. Instantly, a wave of excitement hit me, and I knew my plans had just changed—I had to try something at Homie’s.

Walking in, I was warmly greeted by a kind and humble man, who I later found out was Homie himself. As we chatted about the Loco Moco, our conversation drifted to some of my other favorites, like Chicken Katsu. Homie confirmed they served it and also recommended the Kalbi Ribs as another great option. Without hesitation, I went with the Chicken Katsu—a personal favorite.

While waiting (about 12-15 minutes), I sipped on my Diet Coke and learned more about Homie’s background. He’s originally from Laos and learned to cook Hawaiian food while living in Waikiki. He started Homie’s as a food truck in Springdale before opening the current restaurant almost six years ago.

When my food arrived, I was blown away. The fried rice had large, flavorful chunks of egg and onion—something I’d never seen prepared with such huge pieces, but absolutely loved. The Chicken Katsu was perfectly breaded, and the sauce had just the right amount of tang. I also ordered fresh spring rolls (chicken and shrimp) with a fantastic peanut sauce.

To top it all off, Homie surprised me with something special—his wife’s Mango Sticky Rice. This dish is one of my all-time favorites, and she absolutely nailed it. Served warm with a rich, coconut milk sauce, it was next-level delicious.

I’m so glad I stumbled upon this spot and will definitely be coming back frequently. But it's in a little café style place . I actually do not prefer eating there. But I do like their food. Can't really complain about any of the things I've ordered.

I did pay more than I was expecting. I got a 2 eggrolls, red curry that had shrimp and chicken with rice . But this may be because their food is more fresh and not a lot of prepackaged frozen things. $26

This isn't technically a food but i just wanted to say the tapioca was definitely made there through simmering because it was soft and fluffy. Typically prepackaged bobas are... Chewey. But the tapioca here was done perfectly 💕

The owners take pride in their restaurant and that comes thru in the delicious food, clean restaurant and inviting service. Best restaurant I've visited in the NW Arkansas region I wish I could take them home with me.

I have tried to order from this place on 3 separate occasions. Their site never let's you check out and when you call they do not answer. Cannot speak to the food as it is impossible to get apparently.

Best Thai in town!

We have great Thai in NWA, so this is not a knock on any other Thai place…Homie’s food is so good! It’s our go-to now. Pad see-u noodles were great, green curry was great—the beef in the curry was spot on. He does something different with the tom kha soup. Definitely try it

I picked up from here for the first time. I got a Pineapple Fried Rice with tofu, spice level 3. The spice was medium, just right with a little kick of red chilis. The dish was prepared well. The pineapple quantity was on the lower side and so was the tofu. Overall the quantity of the dish was 2/3rd of what I expected. Generally the To Go boxes I get are filled to the brim. This one was a smaller box filled 80%.

Such a beautiful restaurant that really does care for its customers, the only remark being that they don’t let their waitresses keep the tips? it makes no sense and honestly it’s appalling, if they’re the ones attending me why should the tips not go to them? I gave them the tip, and I want the waitress to keep the tip.

To me the place is really good if you like Thai food it’s excellent you can get any space you want from a level one all the way up to a level six I usually get five and it’s spicy enough but I always get the seafood fried rice and it’s excellent tasting real good some days I can get to if I have to but it is an excellent place to go friendly people very friendly very nice restaurants always clean so go give them a try they’re really good. The place is called homey Thai food.

This is the second time I've tried them and I just can't. I ordered several things to get an idea about their food and was hoping it had improved, it had not. Tried the fresh spring rolls. I've never in my life thrown away a spring roll, but I did that day. They used copious amounts of romaine instead of iceberg and I literally could not taste anything else. But most importantly about my food experience was their rice. It was instant. That's an immediate fail for me for now on. I will not be going back.

The FOOD is AAAMAZING… i had the Tom Yum soup, it was Super Yum and Dope because of the platter they bring it out in! My 1st time trying thai and this place was phenomenal: the waitress was Super nice, food Awesome and then the owner/chef Homie came out to speak with Us. He was Super friendly as well. Came around 11:30AM. There weren’t a lot of people in the restaurant when we came in. Waitress came and took our order (ordered pho, khao pia, and chicken katsu). Ended up waiting 45 minutes for our food. Did not get condiments for pho until 10 minutes after it was served and noodles had already gotten swollen. Khao pia noodles were a bit under cooked. Will not be coming back.

Had homie Thai today for the first time and it was delicious the ingredients were very fresh and it had just the right amount of spice..I will be back.

Hands down, best Thai food I've ever had! I've visited twice now. First trip, I tried the egg rolls, crab rangoon, fried dumplings, and the grilled salmon hibachi plate. Everything was absolutely wonderful and the yum yum sauce with the hibachi was incredible! It was over a month ago, and I still remember. It was THAT kind of good.

Second time I got steamed dumplings and red curry with tofu. I've never had a more satisfying meal. Flavor and spice level were perfect. I finished my bowl and my sister's...couldn't help myself!

The food came out pretty slowly, but honestly I couldn't care less about it. 100% worth the wait. Maybe don't stop if you're in a big hurry, but do so if you've got time for a laid back meal. They won't disappoint.

My go to Thai spot in NWA! The prices are super reasonable, they have a broad menu and they make the best yellow curry in town. The service is always quick, staff is courteous and knowledgeable.

Had the Pad Thai and it was great. Authentic, slightly thick, brown sauce, a little too much brown sugar for me but definitely delicious. So nice when most Pad Thai's in the area are more yellowy and cheap tasting.
My partner had the Tom Kha soup, and it was delicious as well. Great portion sizes on both.

From the outside it does not seem much but the food is really great. I had the vegetable tempura and the salmon hibachi. Both were excellent and the service was very friendly as well. I will definitely be coming back when I’m in town.

I am passionate about Thai food this was good, had a great blend of ingredients, good portion ( not enough to have for lunch all week) perfect a meal! I would say this Pad Tai was better in taste than most just a little different than the normal. Definitely better with twist of a lime or ten. I highly recommend you try it! This is the BEST THAI RESTAURANT I’VE EVER HAD!!! The owners are so nice and such a friendly staff. It’s feel like home when you are here. 5 STARS!!! Also the YELLOW curry and drunken noodles are to die for!

This review doesn't come easy because Homie and family are some of the nicest people you could meet. The service they gave my 88 yr old mother was above and beyond. She absolutely LOVED it. Service is not an issue at all.
The miso soup is fantastic. The egg drop soup, without the thickener, just broth and eggs is phenomenal. The tempura shrimp was delicious. But the tempura vegetables were under cooked. I ordered the grilled teriyaki beef, unfortunately it wasn't grilled. Instead of it being a stand alone like the teriyaki chicken, they mixed it with the veggies. It was more like a stir fry. Something to think about. But I will be back.

The Loco Moco I ordered had a cold beef patty. The gravy sauce definitely doesn't taste like a regular Loco Moco gravy, but maybe others will like it.

My girlfriend said the sticky rice she ordered made her feel sick and was not tasty.

The BEST sushi in springdale and Fayetteville!! This is the rainbow roll and they absolutely hit it out of the park with our appetizers and main courses!! The staff was so attentive and the whole restaurant was so tidy and clean. I will definitely be coming back and bragging about this restaurant to all my friends and family. Thank you for such an amazing dinner! 🏆

Just my second visit and I won't give up, but today was a disappointment. I went to lunch with my mother and sister. Mom ordered green curry, it was delicious. Sister ordered a soup. It was wonderful. I ordered Pad Thai no meat extra vegetables. The server asked if I wanted extra sprouts, I said I mean add vegetables like broccoli carrots and bell pepper. For $1 more, they put 3 slender slices of broccoli in it. It got served about 10 minutes after my family got their meal. I ate it ALL, it didn't taste bad, although it was very sweet. I just was disappointed

Husband had the green curry and he said it was the best he's ever had!! The pad Thai and stir fry mixed veggies were so so so good!! Will definitely be back.

Been looking for a good Asian place to eat since November 2020. This is now one of my favorites! I had their Thai Iced tea 😍 and the chicken Thai pineapple fried rice. 🤤😋 All I can say us YUMMM! I highly recommend this place. Everyone is super nice and great service!

Deliciously hot- if you want it that way! This is the first Thai restaurant my husband and I have tried here in NWA and it is fantastic! I got the pineapple fried rice at a level three spice and my mouth is still in fire several minutes after eating it. My husband got the Pad Thai which was authentic and tasted great. We will definitely be eating here again!

I've been coast to coast from San Francisco to New York city and everything in between..and bar none..this is ABSOLUTELY the best Thai food I've ever had. And this is no exaggeration.

I wish the portions were a bit larger (although I'm a pig sometimes lol)..but for the price, which is fairly cheap for what you get, you can't beat it. And Homie (the owner) is a great guy as well and very accommodating and will even come out and see if all is well and to say hi. The employees were respectful as well and truly care about your dining experience.

What a superb surprise!!! Took a car in for tires and decided to snack. Almost hidden, my daughter pointed to it and we pulled in. Bright and cheery, rather extensive menu, and friendly staff. We split two dishes. The tempura was perfect! Light, crispy, the first Perfect tempura I've enjoyed since moving to the area 8 or 9 months ago!! The beef and vegetables was tasty and hearty. Veggies were perfectly "al dente"...cooked but retaining that tiny kiss of fresh crunch! Make a point to visit soon. You won't be disappointed!!! We're headed back asap!

For those who love Thai, this place is for you. FIRST TIMERS BEWARE- the smells and tastes are authentic; fish and squid sauce smell rancid, but get over that and get into the food. It is absolutely amazing and excellent quality. It is the best tiger shrimp around that I'm aware of and I will definitely be back.
The people here were smiling all the time and the food was served in a timely fashion. I do not give 5 stars lightly, but they deserved it.
The ONLY downside we had was that the child seat restraints were difficult and we never truly figured them out, but we made it work. This is not worth a star reduction as it may just be user error lol! Have a great day and enjoy the food!

Today is Sunday, October 27. This is the last day for Homie Thai fast Food and Grill will be here by Lake of Fayetteville. They will be closing down and move to the new location in December please follow their Facebook. New location will be by sunset we will keep you posted post today.

Food is ok but the service is horrible. only 2 stars cuz: sometimes you get wrong order, won’t pickup the phone for 3 times & they will call you back when they are free, same items you will get charged different amounts in different times.

I was so hungry I almost forgot to take a picture due to the food being so good!! I order the Drunken Noodles with shrimp along with fried dumplings as a side. I didn't even ask for a level of spice (heat) but what I had was right on point. It took less than 10 mins to have it prepared and almost that long for me to eat it once I stopped burning my mouth from the food still being hot. 😂🤣

We love eating here ! The owners are always super friendly. The food is always delicious and the portions are a good size. I recommend the fried spring rolls. It’s an underrated food truck !

Food tastes so good and fresh! Super nice people! Their Homie Rolls are the best, would definitely recommend coming here!

Waited a long time for food which would have been ok but they screwed up our order. We didn’t notice until we got home and it was too far to go back. We ordered jalepeno teriyaki chicken and got some kind of pineapple fried rice instead which was pretty gross. It’s not like they had many customers so there is no excuse for messing up the order so badly. They even read the order back correctly when we picked up the food. For 3 entrees it was $30 which would not be bad if we actually received what we paid for.

Trust me you get confused what to order cause there are too many options with many Asian food truckz. I ended up taking Thai veggie drunken noodles. Omg! The portion size is insane and is good for two and price is cheap. This is my Friday lunch spot for next few weeks 🤩 Thanks to fast food truckz.

Long wait for bland food. Hair in food. Only gave two stars because the sushi was decent.

OMG, I had a great experience here. Wonderful food, Chicken Pad Thai. Great portion size. And wonderful helpful staff.
I would recommend this to anyone.
