The waitress is very snappy & rude . We needed a few minutes to figure out what we wanted and she shook her head while walking off the second time she asked if we were ready to order . I got a pepper garlic with beef. The beef was cheap , it had a weird texture and was extremely chewy. My boyfriend also got a dish with beef, but they brought out ground beef . It did not say in the description it would be ground beef. We left the plates barely touched . The prices are high for the quality of food and service they offer . The best thing was the complimentary cup of soup and water . We will not be going back .
It was our first time with my family, party of 4.
We order vegetable Spring rolls (had more glass noodles than veggies, we liked the perfect crunch), Salmon curry, eggplant & tofu dish, asparagus in coconut milk broth and Pad Thai with shrimp. The Pad Thai was the sweetest I’d eaten—-ever, not recommended for those watching their sugar. We tasted each others orders and all in all enjoyed having the place to ourselves (almost 4pm) & the good food & service.
I love this Thai place so much, the food is incredible and such a decent price!! My favorites are the green curry and the pineapple curry, i always take home leftovers. The other day while i was in there was an incredibly rude and disrespectful customer and the staff handled the situation with grace, respect and even kindness where it wasn’t due. I respect the staff here so much and they will always have my business.
Absolutely love them. Been going here since they were located on School. Good people, good food, treat you like family.
Go to order:
-Fried rice medium heat extra egg & onion
-chicken spring rolls
-Chicken Pad Thai medium heat
- Goong hom pah
Best Thai Style dumplings in this area by far! Hang Mussa was a little too soupy for me, but delicious nonetheless the less.
Consistently good Thai food and friendly service! I have been eating here for years, since they were in their previous location. The chicken pad thai, rahd-na crispy noodles and chicken spring rolls are my go to but everything is great!
I had lunch here and enjoyed it. The meal started with a complimentary cup of soup, which was a simple broth with rice and cilantro. My entree was Pad Thai with pork; I ordered it "hot", which was one notch below "Thai hot" and was about how I like spice wise. There was a decent amount of pork in it. The noodles seemed a bit overcooked. Service was a little slow and curt, and the room seemed a bit warm. Despite these complaints, I'd go back for the good food.

So delicious!! Quiet and cozy

Their Pad Thai with spice level 5 is my favorite so far.

Great food!
I’ve been to all the Thai places in Fayetteville and this is definitely the best one. Prices are very reasonable, and the service is always fast same lady working here every time. Highly recommend.
Our go to Thai place! We have been coming for years and we love Salathai. The staff is friendly, food arrives promptly, and the quality is always top notch. Definitely recommend!
refused service because we asked for a different drink. and i’m not putting this in a way where we rudely asked for another drink, we just politely asked for a water instead because it tasted wrong. the lady that gave us the drinks then proceeded to take the orders of everyone else at the restaurant that arrived after us and ignore our table. very rude. don’t ignore the negative reviews
Had to stop there over a weekend to eat lunch, food was pale and normal. No taste to it. Just waste of money
Drunk noodles level 2 was not good as expected. Was not spicy at all, noodles had no flavor, and didn’t provide any Sriracha sauce packets.
Very good. Large servings.
Just go eat here! It's absolutely delicious and super filling!
Always quality food and excellent service.
Not as good as it used to be
First time, really delicious! Great flavors, feels really authentic, reasonable prices. I want the cilantro rice soup like, all the time - it’s so comforting and homey. A nice hole in the wall spot, definitely worth giving a try.
Sala Thai is my favorite Thai restaurant in Fayetteville. I've been coming here for years and it's never disappoints. My newest obsession on their menu is the NO 8- Sen Lak Tom Yum with chicken. So. Good.
We love this place. Have been coming for years for lunch and always enjoy freshly prepared authentic Thai plates and fast service.
Delicious foods and very nice server. Cooks are wonderful.
Waitress should smile and be more kind to customers, I wasn't going to tip the waitress and her service, but I did because I am a nice person.
I was going into Wingstop to pick up food, and they were extremely packed. Decided to give this place a chance because it was right next door but they were very rude.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS 000
Food was great but some portions are a bit smaller than most Thai places have so don’t expect left overs or to split a meal.
We got carry out for 5 people. The food was delicious. Even our picky eater loved it.
Extremely rude on the phone when placing an order for pick up. Didn’t tell me time frame or cost. Just said “that it” and hung up. Called back to ask how long and he said 5 minutes and hung up again.
Cons: 10min. lady😅 10 min. regardless if it’s 20, she’s not very pleasant. The portions are $6 dollar lunch special size, aka very small. I get robbed ordering here. Pros: I really like their curry sauces and the Pad Thai. They don’t upset my stomach. It’s a win/lose situation so I order sparingly from here.
If I’m going to pay for the food give me some food! Portion size is terrible for the cost!
I have been going here for over a decade. Best pad see ew in town without a doubt. Try the vegetarian delight!!! 💯
Some of the best pad Thai I have had in NWA.
Only complaint was that it came out a bit slow, but it was a Friday night.
Will be back.
Super decked out curry menu. Can definitely recommend the peanut curry with tofu!
Exceptional food.
The best yellow curry around!
Love Salathai!!! The food is great, one of the best Thai restaurants in NWA. Don’t expect anything fancy, it’s a hole in the wall restaurant, but the food is super good, proving that little family run restaurants rock! The owner is super nice, always making sure you have everything you want and that you are satisfied. If you have a special request they are always happy to make it. The service is fast and attentive. If they had six stars I’d give it to them.
Excellent service & fantastic food! We just found this Thai restaurant & it’s one of the best in the area. Highly recommend!
I love Thai Food! I remember going to this place about a year ago and really liking the food. I decided to come back to show my brother who is visiting from out of town. It was so disappointing. The service was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced in a restaurant. We had our food to-go. The front desk lady was really frustrated that we didn’t order over the phone, she was really rude and short with us, and really snappy. We didn’t understand why. It made us both super uncomfortable, but we decided to still get food. Honesty, there are so many good Thai places in Fayetteville. If you want good Thai Food, I recommend Thai Spice or Taste of Thai, or really anywhere with decent customer service. The food is not worth the bad time :(
The food was absolutely incredible. Meat was juice and tender. Chicken was spicy. Amazing teas. Amazing service from Lenny. Thanks for your amazing service. Definitely coming back because of him 🔥
Good taste, great menu options. Pricey. Whole family left not full due to small portions.
Clean restaurant, clean bathroom, great curry
No problem eating vegan here
Our experience tonight was BEYOND disappointing. I am an avid supporter of this business and frequently recommend them to friends of mine. After ordering take out and being told on the phone that it would be 15-20 minutes until ready, we arrived and were told it was almost ready. I noticed 3 other Togo orders after me arrive and were told the same, that their food was almost ready. While waiting these others were taken care of and given their orders and after 20 minutes of no explanation and waiting in the lobby we were finally told that someone who ordered before us had taken OUR order and would be coming back to get their order. I then asked if we were expected to take the food that was brought back from the customer who paid for and took the wrong order, and was told “yes she hasn’t touched it I think”. I told her that was not acceptable only to receive attitude about having the kitchen cook again. We watched the lady she called back to the restaurant bring in a mangled/messy bag of the wrong food (our order). In these times of sickness and health being high priority it was disappointing that this was the expectation. We were then charged full price for our food after waiting an hour for fresh food to be made. Absolutely no compensation for our experience, and lack of consideration. I will be withholding ordering from them in the future.
Amazing service. Kind and friendly. Curry here is the best I've had in a minute and keeps up with anyone's spice tolerance.
It's so incredibly good. Best Thai in NWA.
My favorite Thai food in Fayetteville! Chicken pad Thai is amazing! Also love the beef pad see iew!
Best chicken fried rice around. Takeout is usually ready in 10 minutes.
Are vegan/vegetarian conscientious and have a great selection!
Highly recommend!
Great Green Curry. Tasted just like I’ve had in Thailand. They even made it super spicy for me. Honestly hotter than than Thailand. I always ask for a 10 when it’s out of 5 and they provided. I was coughing and sweating real good.
Always dependable food. Good service.
Always good food
Awesome, friendly staff. The food is to die for. The best Thai food in Fayetteville
The most authentic Thai food I’ve had since I left Thailand, and relatively cheap prices compared to other local Thai spots. Papaya salad, drunken noodles, and pineapple fried rice were all off the charts.
Always great food and service.
Love this place! The sesame chicken is my absolute favorite!
The Pad Thai here is wonderful and the portions are big! You’re given the option of how spicy you would like the food made. I called in an order and called back to add to the order while on the way to pick up. I didn’t have to wait long even though the restaurant was busy. The service and food were excellent! Just a little pricy.
!!!DON'T IGNORE THE BAD REVIEWS!!!
The food smelled like wet opossum. Tried to get a refund and they refused to. During the exchange the cook admitted to cooking the noodles in the morning, well that explains the rotten smell to the dish lol. Who ever heard of cooking noodles for a hot dish hours before the meal prep?! Terrible Thai and even worse customer service.
If I could leave a zero star I would. The food was inedible and smelled rotten. When I politely asked for a refund they refused. I was told by the owner “I must not know what real Thai food tastes like.” Well if you like garbage eat here. The owner even admitted to cooking the noodles in the morning and reheating them when ordered.
Authentic, delicious Thai food.
Food was horrible! Ordered the peanut curry and it looks like throw up!
Not good, but not bad. Passable asian food. If you have the palette of a college kid, you'll be fine. C+ at best. Single note flavors. Will not be returning. Much better options around town.
Food was good. Ate here with family, thai iced tea and a variety of entrees, everything was fresh and flavorful. Will order from here again.
The chicken in my curry was flavorless. There was a hidden up-charge for getting beef. Overall, the experience wasn't worth the price.
Good Thai food and good prices
Horrible. Food did not taste like it was freshly cooked and was not hot or good. Ordered Pad Thai and the noodles tasted like it was old and had been sitting around. Also ordered the sesame chicken and the sauce just tasted like ketchup. Will never order there again.
I will not be going to this restaurant anymore overpriced and can't provide condiments
Drunken Noodles are delicious.
This is my family’s favorite Thai food restaurant! You’ve got to try the chicken pad Thai and the sesame chicken.
Best you can get. Do not miss their Basil and Ginger Stir fry.
I'll be back
My favorite! Try the chicken dumplings appetizer! 😍
I should've taken a picture of their chicken basil fried rice. I love foods that contain basil like tomato soups, but I especially love them when it's Asian or Thai food. It seems to make the dish better than what you were expecting. I really wanted pad thai, but I decided to mix it up and boy am.i glad I did. I wonder if they'll add basil to any dish? I'll gladly pay extra, if they'll make available for all dishes.
Took my put of town guest there after bragging about this place. The lady at the restaurant seemed annoyed about our arrival . I didn’t know I needed to call and order ahead of time . Both meals , one with chicken , the other with tofu were dry and extremely overcooked.. We were also eating on the go and in the car. it sure would have been nice to have some forks and napkins.. Had to stop at Aldis to get some 😡
The best Thai place in Northwest Arkansas that I've found. Their Pad Thai is amazing
The food here is mediocre in my opinion in comparison to other thai places around the area and the waitress/ front counter cashier is not friendly or inviting.
Delicious food, reasonable portions.
This place is absolutely delicious, I can’t get enough of it. The red curry is addictively good! Service is friendly and quick, clean and nice atmosphere.
If you are getting Thai food anywhere else in Fayetteville you, my friend, are a novice Thai eater.
This place is wonderful! When they moved we’d thought they’d closed. We were so thrilled when we saw their new restaurant with an open sign!
The food is excellent, the atmosphere is welcoming and laid back. The people are nice.
I’ve never had a bad meal here. It’s always great quality :D
Good food. Tiny portions so if you are really hungry I’d go elsewhere. Also they are skimpy on the meat. I ordered drunken noodles tonight and had two small bites of chicken in the entire order. Also one order of stir fried rice was not even enough to feed my three year old. Their food is good but if they want to compete they have to offer enough food for at least a meal.
Food is great , the lady is nice enough , but the portion sizes are a joke. You get small half empty to go containers, the shrimp fried rice had 4 shrimp in it. The beef basil was all veggies , just really disappointed last two times we've been. $50+ for rice and noodles is ridiculous. For the money the could atleast fill up the to go containers all the way when your order food.
Too much fish sauce. Pad Thai is okay.
Worst lunch ever, paid 17 with tip for a beer and yellow curry chicken to go.. was supposed to be spicy also.. the food tastes bland and not even good, I'll probably throw it n the trash and go to thai diner .. save yourself from krappy food, gone down since new location
Our favorite Thai place. Dumplings and green curry eggplant are delicious. Sesame chicken and pepper steak are also delicious. Highly recommend
Nice place n tasty food
Very good with fast service
Didn't live up to the hype. The Thai Sweet and Sour Lunch Special for $10 was mediocre at best.
Excellent Pad Thai. My husband had the number 8 Thai hot and was very pleased with it. He's happy to have found a place that serves it.
Great, authentic Thai!
Small dining area, but comfortable and clean.
Try the dumplings and spring rolls, they are AMAZING!
Higher priced than some other thai places around. And the lady is somewhat rude that serves and takes $, a little offputting really
Best Thai food in town. Even across NWA. Just because some place is willing to give the spiciestt awful food in town doesn't make it a great Thai food place. If you want ridiculously spicy food that is worth eating go here. If it isn't to your liking at first add chilli powder. After a visit or two they'll start adding enough spice.
Salathai is my favorite of the Thai restaurants in Fayetteville and I'm so happy for them to have gotten a new spot on the main drag at Fayetteville! The little soup you get/got complimentary at lunch is amazing
I've been going to Sala Thai for a number of years now and I really like it. It has moved over onto MLK near the Arby's, and I just re-found it today. Really glad I did. People are really nice and food is really good.
We had 3 different dishes and they were all delicious. Would of liked to have some background music to drown out the other customers conversations.
Always love the food. Like the new location.
So good
Great noodles
Exceptional meals. You are bound to have leftovers. Customer service is great.
Great Thai food!
Excellent food. Doesnt look like much from the outside. Sign says they are moving to a new location soon.
Good food, but I've had better
I have now tried four different Thai restaurants in the Fayetteville Arkansas community and this by far has the best food so it is going to receive my highest rating of any of the Thai restaurant. My daughter is a student at the University and was super excited to bring me here to try the food.
For our dinner we ordered the fried spring rolls for an appetizer, then we had green curry, Pad Thai and Pad Kee Mao for our main course dishes. We had three stars on all three and it was the perfect amount of heat, yet keeping it very easy to eat. We had some other students with us so they were serving a table of 6 and got all our food out hot to the table within about 2 minutes of each other which is pretty good for that large of a group.
I like the Pad Kee Mao the best of the three dishes. The sauce was exactly as I would have suspected for this dish and had great flavor. They were generous with the variety of vegetables and the portion of pork we had with this dish was also very generous. The Pad Thai was probably my second favorite, and then the green curry. The green curry was a little thinner than I am used to. While it was a very generous portion, it kind of ran off the rice instead of coating it. I would be interested in trying the green curry again on a future night to see if that is how they always serve it.
You can tell that the people running this restaurant are doing so on a minimum of staff. I would not be surprised to find out that it is family run. The waitress is all pure business and could benefit from taking a lesson on the art of small talk, but as I watched her through our meal, she was doing everything for the front of the restaurant. That can be a lot for one person as the number of tables continues to grow through the night.
I noticed a sign in the restaurant that stated that they will be moving locations on April 15th 2019 to a location on MLK. I am excited to see what they are able to do with a new space. I hope that it will allow them to bring the building and dining experience up to the same level of their food.
I am sure that I will be returning to Sala Thai on future visits to the University of Arkansas and Fayetteville.
Great food. My favorite in NWA
I have been a few times and EVERY time I go, the only server that is there is rude and there’s always hair in my food! And she has no customer service skills! I will never go again.
Very good thai food, and they take the hotness scale seriously. I order a three because I like it flavorful but I don't want to cry even a little. It's perfect and every visit the spiciness level has been consistent. I strongly reccomend going at lunch, they have a delicious soup with rice and cilantro at lunch time. They are moving locations in April, and I hope they continue their excellence at the new location.
Very very good. Have been there twice in 1.5 weeks.
Delicious! Love the pineapple curry!
I'm not thai but I like thai food in the Fayetteville area I think this is the best thai food your going to get, prices are reasonable portions are large. Try it you will like it
sooooo. good!
I’ve been here twice and it seems the bad attitude of the server is a known vice. Other than that, the food is great. The restaurant does have a weird smell but you get used to it. The young man helping the main server was very polite and helpful, I just hope he’s getting paid fairly because he made up for everything she lacked. Will go again, the food was delicious and a fair price.
Best in the area.
I got an order of food to-go. The chicken Pad Thai was delicious, but the portion sizes were a little small compared to what you get elsewhere. Prices were good, but I wish I had gotten a little more for what you pay. Service was quick and efficient!
I eat here ...all ...the ...time. You can pick from the menu wearing a blindfold and get a delicious meal. Personally my favorite Thai food in the area.
Delicious food, quick service
This is the best Thai place in town. What to expect: the same server every time. She's not super friendly, but she's not rude either and she never messes up. Don't go for entertainment. You'll get a little bowl of hot rice and chicken soup, yum! Best grilled tofu I've had but their meat options are great too. My litmus test for Thai places is Phad Khee Mao (sp? Drunken noodle). Theirs rocks and so does their curry dishes. It's reasonably priced and very good. You like spicy? Their 3 star is spicy but you can handle it. 4 is pretty hot. 5 is legit hot.
Great food reasonably priced served by friendly people
BEST THAI IN FAYETTEVILLE! Seriously, don't waste time/money at other places. Exceptional food, quick service.
Okay, listen. The waitress is not very friendly, however the food is worth it. She’s very busy, ask for what you need directly and don’t be offended with the lack of small talk and you will enjoy your experience. Get the Sen Leek Tom Yum and the papaya salad (yum!). Best Thai in Fayetteville.
An outstanding Thai restaurant, with the best Tom Kha in NWA!
We have been missing out! This is our new fav Thai restuarant. Simple decor, fast service, amazing AMAZING food. Get there now!
The absolute BEST curry in NWA!!
-personal fav is the Panang Curry
By far the best Thai food in Fayetteville. I tried a multiple places and have yet to find something that tops it. Vegetarian Delight is where it’s at!
Best Thai in Arkansas.
One of the best Thai restaurants in the area. Family owned with personalized service.
Awesome food, great service. Best Pad See-iew in NWA.
The best Thai food in Fayettevile. Very clean restaurant with super friendly staff.
Our favorite Thai restaurant
Always good.
The best Thai food around.
The good is very good. They have an go amazing salmon Curry dish.
Amazing food fast, polite service, and relaxed environment
Lit af
Very filing and delicious!
Dee lish
Service was very bad! The lady that sat us and served us said all of three words to us. Waited for 30 minutes after we had all finished our unsatisfactory food to get a check. Very unhappy with this place. Well never go back.
This Thai food is not the best I've ever had, but it was very good. The lady is not overly friendly, but I believe that's just the oriental way. The portions seemed small for the price, but a good option if in the area. I had the Panang curry and spring rolls. The curry was creamy, but just had a tad "off" tatse. Not bad, probably just a spice I was not familiar with. The spring rolls were excellent.
Food was a bit raw & hard to chew. $15 for a lunch w/2 rolls is too high. Must have caught them at a bad time.
