Hands down the best Thai food in Scottsdale. No fuss homely vibes. Smaller place and you’ll see how popular they are for to ho orders and theres a reason- food is delicious, well priced and great quality! A weekly staple. I especially love their fresh avocado rolls, green curry and pad thai
I’ve eaten at many Thai restaurants, not only in Arizona, but nationwide. This place was decent at best. The egg rolls taste like frozen rolls. The shrimp was good and so was the Pad Thai, but it was lacking protein as the meat portion is small. Additionally, the place is very small, loud and packed. The service was terrible and we literally had to ask for everything two or three times. I don’t think I’ll return. Phoenix has way better Thai places. Thai E San, Siam, Authentic Kitchen just to name a few.
This Thai restaurant is truly a hidden gem. While the dining area is small, the warmth and friendliness of the service more than make up for it. The food is absolutely delicious, with authentic flavors that shine in every bite. Our group tried some classic dishes like Pad Thai, Pad See-Ew, and Pad Woon Sen, and each one was fantastic—flavorful, perfectly cooked, and satisfying. The prices are reasonable, making it a great spot for quality Thai cuisine without breaking the bank. I can’t wait to come back and explore more of their menu. Highly recommended.
Came across this restaurant by accident (kind of). I must say...the BEST Tom Kha soup we've had. All the food we ordered was outstanding, and the basil lemonade is a must! Very personable service. It is small and fills up, we got lucky that there was 1 open table. Very much an authentic, home cooked meal feeling. We will definitely be back, thank you!
This place is your next neighborhood go to. The food is incredible! The service is decent but don’t let that discourage you.
We had a bit of everything on the menu and everything we got, we’d get again! The flavor, richness, and overall homey feeling each dish brings is one that will be living in my dreams until I go back again.
This is a place that is small and seats about 20 people all in but these are some of the hardest workers I have ever come across.
Must try: Pad Thai, Tom Ka, and the Green Curry
Whatever you get here will be sure to delight!
We had the pad Thai and drunken noodles, with avocado rolls and egg rolls. The best things were the sweet and sour sauce that came with the egg rolls, and then the avocado rolls themselves. I found the drunken noodles to be good, but very average. I wouldn’t rave about them. Finally the Pad Thai was different tasting than some we’ve had, and we weren’t too keen on the overall flavor.
Our go to thai restaurant! So friendly and great food. I would say it’s great for takeout since the inside only has a few tables.
Tom Ka and Pad See Ew are both the best I've had in the valley so far. Bon is so sweet and tales great care of her customers.
Editing to add that the Avocado Curry and Chicken Larb are also 10/10.
Excellent good and perfect spice combination
The coconut soup was excellent, pad Thai not bad, pineapple fried rice wouldn't order it again.
This may be the very best Thai food I have ever had. Outstanding. I placed an order for my coworkers and while i waited they brought me a small cup of soup. Excellent service and fabulous food. I highly recommend this place
This is a small restaurant with amazing Thai curries. You are asked for the level of heat you would like in your curry, which is a very nice option to have. Delicious food, fast, friendly service and reasonably priced. A real gem!
Great hole in the wall Thai place! Food was as authentic as I've ever enjoyed stateside. Small seating area, but well worth it!
I've eaten Thai food all over the world and Thai Coconut is absolutely THE best Thai Restaurant in the entire Valley! Ask for Enjoy (the Owner) and she will treat you right and make you feel like family. She's very proud of her restaurant and truly cares about your experience...give them a try!
Best soup I have ever had in my life.
Tom Ka soup Spicy did not disappoint. I could not find a single thing bad to say about it.
I 1000% suggest eating here.

BEST THAI FOOD OF MY LIFE!! If you’re looking for an absolute gem of a hole in the wall this is the place to go. Love supporting a local, small business. Can’t wait to go back. Every dish was delish!
This place is incredible. We are visiting from Canada and decided to eat here for dinner.
Food was delicious and the service was amazing.
It was so good when we woke up the next morning we were craving it and went back for lunch. The table next to us did the same thing. They were back for seconds as well after being there the day before.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
It was Christmas Day and the line up was out the door. Amazing soup and salads!
So much better and kinder than Thai House. You are nickel and dimed at Thai House but not at at Thai Coconut. They understand people have choices.
We tried the masuman curry and the panang curry. Both were delicious, and authentic. (We have visited Thailand many times so we have experience!) The staff is attentive and friendly, and the food came quickly. Our only complaint is that it's a bit noisy - but it's happy noise!
Awesome food. Curry was awesome. Coconut soup was delicious 😋. If you're in the area, it's worth it.
The chicken satay was amazing. Mixed veggies and brown rice - amazing. Thai fried rice also amazing. This is a hidden gem. Highly recommend!
Best Thai place ever. The food and workers are so great everytime!
This is my go-to spot for Thai in Scottsdale! Incredible food and incredible people that put their heart and souls into their cooking. Legit spot, highly recommended!
Perfect place for authentic Thai food, family run, great taste !!!
W
WOW!!! The food exceeded our expectations. We had the Tom Yum Noodle Soup, Chicken & Shrimp Paid Thai and Avocado Green Curry. Each had distinctly different flavors. We ordered 4 out of 5 spice levels and they nailed it. The exterior building is not impressive, but the food and service is. Give this place a try!!
Excellent place for pick up
I went with a gf it was recommended by another friend. We had a lunch from their Lunch menu. I had mixed veggies with a chicken, the portions are extremely big but the meal did not have any flavor. My gf had Pad Thai she said it was OK, I tasted it , I didn't like it. They served us soup which was delicious.
Terrific service and excellent curry and crispy egg rolls. Medium red curry was tame, I would go up a notch or two next time.
Delicious food! Good price & large portions for lunch specials… staff was very friendly.. inside is very small and cozy.. highly recommended for a dine-in visit or a nice evening of takeout.. 10/10 :-)
Nice food good test and clean all staff are friendly
This is a favorite of ours! Great food and great people. We have done dine in, take out, and delivery and it has always been consistent. 10/10!
Update: Watery and tasteless curry. Curry used to be rich and creamy, not watery and tasteless like water. It’s just sad. So sad to see the decline. En needs to return to her first culinary love.

I’ve been a fan of this place for a long time. The flavors are amazing, however I have to take a star off as I’ve noticed a gradual decline in the quantity and quality of proteins in the dishes. This is likely due to inflation, but it is disappointing to see the compromise in quality. I so much want to see this place succeed and not go the direction of so many others in reducing quality. Please help them out and go there: maybe with an increase in the volume of customers they will have less concern about profits and will return the dishes to their former 5-star excellence.

Outstanding food and great, friendly service. Food was served fast.
Food was very flavorful and cooked to order from scratch right in front of you. Takeout is pretty fast. Authentic flavors and very delicious with good portions. Thai sausages are a must have as an appetizer. Staff was attentive and courteous. Great new addition.
This place is my go-to Thai restaurant since moving to the area. Tried a few others, but this one always comes out on top. Highly recommend the drunken noodle, yellow curry, fried rice, pepper garlic beef, and pretty much anything else - it’s all good! Not usually an orange chicken gal, but the orange chicken here (although not usually found at Thai restaurants) is unreal!
They have excellent food and service. Place is a little small but worth it.
The most nasty place you can find in Scottsdale
Do not go there if you don’t want to poison your family 🤮🤢🤮🤮
Excellent service, incredible food and fast!
Great food, great service
We will definitely come back.
Food came out quickly hot and tasty. Service is great and the employees are very kind. Gave us free mango sticky rice because they were busy when we came in! Awesome place and really great Thai food
Pad Thai was amazing. Super friendly staff too, thank you for the meal!
The food looked and tasted commercialized
Ordered vegan drunken noodles and they were so good!! Green curry and Thai iced tea were also good, I would definitely go back for the noodles. It’s a smaller hole in the wall kind of place but worth a visit
The food here was INCREDIBLE and the staff were even better! What a sweet place. 10/10 can recommend the green curry & pad Thai.
Literally the best thai food I have ever had in my life. I come here faithfully for five years now. I have celiac disease and her curry is gluten free. I have never had any problems here, it is so delicious and made with love.
Never disappointed. Thai coconut is definitely one of the best in the valley. Their green curry is delicious too! This past visit I had steamed dumplings, pork drunken noodles and chicken green curry with a spice level 4. It actually wasn't spicy at all so I'm not sure if they got the level correct but regardless, everything was delicious as always!
We were party of 16 who went here for lunch together. Space is small but our server was really great in serving and managing space for us. Food was hot , good and tasty. Really loved their complimentary veggies broth. Spring rolls a must. Overall really great place with nice staff.
Amazing food! Always consistent and the staff is always pleasant and kind!
Thank you!
Losing quality. I’ve ordered a lot of great meals from here but the quality is slowly going down. Poor ingredients, soggy rice, dry pad Thai and the prices are getting too high for a place that is mostly take out.
Went to this place for a quick lunch. They start off by bringing a cup of broth with veggies. It’s more delicious than it sounds and was my favorite part of the whole dining experience. We ordered the tom kha gai soup, my favorite soup that I order at every Thai restaurant I go to. My sister loved it. I thought it was good but a little too sweet. We also ordered the drunken noodles and those were not very good. The noodles were dry and hard. The veggies were plentiful and delicious though. If I go again, I would try a different dish, it seems like they have some other dishes that are better.
Great food and very friendly staff
Great food and very nice people. It's a little small restaurant so not a lot of room, but they make up for it with great food and service.
Delicious food. Pan was our server and she did an excellent job! A must if you love Thai food.
We ordered two lunch specials - pad Thai and drunken noodles. House soup came out first and was so clear and fresh and flavorful. Excellent start! Pad Thai was served next. Very happy with it. About what you would expect from a casual Thai place. But then the drunken noodles came. Those are some of the best noodles I’ve had in my life. I wish I lived in this state so that I could eat them every week. They were incredible and you MUST try them!
This is the best Thai food in Scottsdale! We love the Avocado Roll, Pad Thai Chicken, and Panang Curry pork, and an order of Thai vegetable Fried rice.
Food is authentic and delicious. No restroom, but a lot of people doing take out
We went to have lunch here.we ordered soup, fried rice and pad Thai noodles. And what we had to eat was veggies in hot water ( they call it as soup) , mushy fried rice with tons of turmeric in it , undercooked noodles. We had to walk out without eating anything and we ended up eating at chipotle today . Such a worst food we ever had in our life. I wish I could attach the pictures here and give a zero to this restaurant. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone else.
More importantly we saw houseflies in the restaurant.
I love this place. The yellow curry is to die for. I’m from Oregon and have had a tough time finding a good PHO place out here - I tried their beef pho and I was very impressed. I’ve ordered a wide variety of food of their menu and everything is always phenomenal. Service is beyond fast, workers are so kind, and the taste is always amazing. Couldn’t recommend Thai Coconut more!
Food was delicious and service outstanding!!
Killer Thai food every curry is top tier. It’s Hard to find an authentic Thai restaurant in the valley. This one is it. I’ve spent a lot of time in Thailand.
Yes, it's a hole in the wall kind of place. But, this is really some of the best Thai food you'll find anywhere. And good size portions to boot. Seating is limited but I'll often do take out. Can't wait for my next visit!
Update: multiple visits, always consistent and great product.
Tried the yellow curry, pad thai, dumplings, mango sticky rice, and now the pineapple fried rice. All have been excellent. The mangos must be in season, because they have been perfectly ripe. Definitely a great Thai restaurant.
Awesome authentic Thai food, usually get takeout because the restaurant is pretty small, but have dined in and it's good too! Definitely our go to for Thai!
I have always believed that I did not like curry. Then my friend ordered pineapple curry with shrimp at Thai Coconut. Omg! I had a taste of hers and I ordered some to take home. My husband loved it so much he says he's been jonesing for it all week. Everything was delicious, but that was out of this world delicious. Thank you sweet girls for your great service and kindness.
Super good Thai food. Service is fast and friendly. Best Pnang Curry my wife has ever had.
It’s the best! Found this perfect little hole in the wall a while back and now it’s our go to for takeout Chinese. The fried rice there is better THAN ANYTHING you’ve ever tasted, and wether it’s the savory shrimp curry or the thick delicious pad Thai- it’s sure to make your mouth water!🤤
I love this place! If I am anywhere nearby, I stop in and stock up a meal or two. It's a tiny diner style, not a fancy destination restaurant but the food is expertly prepared and the staff are all very attentive, also great for take out. It's my go-to for Thai in Scottsdale. I've been several times and it's all been delicious. HIGHLY Recommend you try it for yourself. The photos on their website are true to their prep but my photos are just my take out - not pro, still makes my mouth water!
Small spot to eat but it felt real. Staff were quick to wait on me and the food was great
The best Thai food in Arizona!!! Service is quick and everything is made fresh! Very delicious and happy atmosphere! Best in the West!
Each time I eat here I try something different. Every dish has been authentic, freshly made and delicious.
Friendly service, good size portions and fair prices.
Got a few items for take out today and we were impressed with all of them. Yellow curry, tom yum soup and pad see-ew - all of them were absolutely delicious. Great customer service as well.
Thai coconut is the best Thai food I’ve had in Phoenix! We ordered chicken panang curry which was perfectly spicy and light (not too creamy or heavy). I got the Tom kha with shrimp which was THE BEST Tom kha I’ve ever had! The lemongrass flavor was delicious, perfectly spiced and also not heavy. We also got mixed vegetables with chicken in garlic sauce and the side of rice was so flavorful and smelled amazing! The portions were super generous and the staff was SO friendly! The food came out super quickly and parking is plentiful. If you’re looking for QUALITY Thai food where you feel like family, Thai coconut is it! Can’t wait to come back :)
Food was delicious! Very fresh ingredients and super fast service. Highly recommend!
One of my favorite Thai restaurants in Scottsdale. Amazing yellow curry.
They have some of the best Thai food in town! Love the Avocado Fresh rolls, the Pad Woon Sen and any of the traditional noodle dishes are amazing.
One of our favorite spots and definitely the best Thai food in the area!
I ate here on Tuesday (9May) with coworkers. I had the Pad Thai and fresh spring rolls. This is the best Thai restaurant around, this is my 5th time coming here. It's my go to place for Thai whenever I'm in AZ! I highly recommend this place. The food is amazing!!
Friendly and so, so good! Fair prices.
Good food & good portions
Two orders of Pineapple curry.
Two very satisfied diners.
Very fast service!
Egg rolls were yummy and flaky.
My new go-to Thai spot.
Food was decent, not great. Overpriced for the small protein portions. No atmosphere whatsoever! Not sure about the cleanliness of the place, very questionable...Def health dept alert.
Surprised at high ratings.
This place has the most amazing menu. All the food is so fresh and delicious I have probably eater half the menu and have not once been disappointed.
This was our second visit and we were very disappointed. They have probably had a change in chef! The food was tasteless; the noodles were like a congealed blob, the chicken tasted boiled and I could go on. It was hard to believe it was the same place we dined at 6 months ago where each dish was flavourful and fresh.
It's an OK 👍 place
Generous portions of wonderful food.
Terrible food, no restrooms little seating. Little to no parking. Terrible service.
The pad Thai was so bad and just the smell alone was bad enough that I tried to be nice and try a bite but about threw up .I told them I was sorry but cannot eat this and walked out ..gross
The Beat Thai food in AZ!
I’m on vacation here in Scottsdale. I called in an order to go pick up and was told to pick up in 20 minutes. I get there and the restaurant was closed from 3pm to 4pm. Was never told that they closed at 3pm for kitchen staff break. I would have appreciated if that would have been mentioned. I did call from front door 8 minutes before 3pm and they still did not open to give me my food. No plans on returning.
I love this little place! The thai fried rice and Pad Thai is sooo good! I haven't tried much else since I love these two dishes. The staff is super nice! I haven't eaten in yet, just got carry out. I would highly recommend!!!
So disappointed. Waited an hour and a half for food while orders around us kept coming. They screwed up and wouldn't admit it or do anything about it. Food is good, service is abysmal.
Too slow in service . If you cannot be ready as you promised, don’t promise
Our favorite Thai in Phoenix!!
The food was so good and there Tom Kai soup is very delicious the way they make it
I can’t say enough good things about this place… the amazing food, the friendly staff and the owner, En! I’ve been coming here for years because of the great vegan options. Recently we celebrated my best friend’s birthday here and they brought us fresh young coconuts. It definitely made our night! If you’re reading this and haven’t been, I highly recommend you check it out.
Hands down the best Thai in Scottsdale. The friendliest and most polite staff. We've never been disappointed with any of the dishes we ordered. If you go around 7:30pm you can usually get a seat right away. It also ranks very high with hangover food.
Visited again on 12/10 and all our dishes were excellent. Quality and freshness are always the same high standard.
Excellent pad see ew
I’m very picky when it comes to food. I tried this place expecting the worst because that’s been my experience. I moved here from Denver so finding new go to spots for what I like is tedious. I got the Phanaeng curry mild and it was AMAZING! I will never go anywhere else. I live about 20 min away but it doesn’t matter. Not only was it delicious and a good size but the service was amazing too. Even at the dinner rush they were attentive and quick. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a good Thai curry at a decent price.
Its a small shop in the back..kinda like a hole in the wall. Eating there is is struggle. Not enough spots to sit, the chairs are loose. The last time i went, these children, not my own kept bouncing back of the booth seats and disrupting my dinner.
Being they are busy, service is a lil slow, but food is great. Definitely recommend.
Tiny Thai place with the usual Thai options. Price worthy.
Not sure why this place has so many good reviews and is so crowded? I have had a lot of Thai food and this place made the bottom tier. It’s like the McDonald’s of Thai food.
Wonderful service and the most amazing Pad Thai and Garlic Veggie Stir Fry.
Very good food , service fast , staff is always friendly, highly recommend
Great experience and friendly staff and great food
The most consistently delicious Thai food in the area. We've gone through the menu over the last 6 months, trying different dishes, and each time it is phenomenally tasty.
Orange Chicken? Fantastic!
Curry Noodles? A Treat!
Green Curry with Chicken? somehow even better the next day!
Thai Fried Rice? A superior breakfast dish
It doesn't hurt that the staff is friendly, and the pricing is extremely reasonable.
If you like Asian food, and especially Thai, come here and enjoy!
Incredible service!
Absolutely delicious! The yellow curry was phenomenal and the noodle dish that we had was super tasty! Everything was made fresh and with quality ingredients. Very authentic Thai flavors! This is a tiny restaurant, but they pack big flavors! We had really friendly service and look forward to eating here again!
Great little Thai gem for a good lunch. Definitely will be back.
Once in a while you go to a place that drops your jaw…and that’s this place!
Every dish we got was absolutely delicious. You could tell they are cutting no corners and truly care about each meal.
The service was fabulous, great seating…in shock at how much we enjoyed our meal!
My favorite to go place for Thai food. I always order the same things such as the Tom ka soup, pan fried dumplings, chicken satay, and chicken curry. Very delicious with the perfect amount of heat. If you’re looking for a Thai place with amazing food then this is the place to go. You won’t regret it.
Food is fantastic and delicious. Fresh rolls is really Good.
Service is owesome.
definitely recommended.
My husband and I came for lunch and it was so amazing. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. My husband got the beef pho which was sooo flavorful and I got the green curry and it was amazing, so much flavor! We also shared the papaya salad which was so nice and refreshing. Can’t wait to go back!
It’s so bad I want to give it a 0, but that’s not possible so I give it a 1. My family and I were on a road trip , craving Thai. I noticed this restaurant closed at 8 but my eta the latest was at 748. I call the restaurant to see if that’s ok. The lady on the phone was super rude and they said that the kitchen closes so don’t come. I asked when the latest walk in time was acceptable and she stated 745…. Really… 3 minutes???? Haven’t tried their food so can’t say but I wouldn’t even bother trying with that attitude.
Excellent food and service, quick stop for lunch
This Thai food might even be better than Thailand. Hear me out, try the massaman curry with pork. You'll thank me later.
Lunch specials were excellent and the service was fast and friendly.
Very delicious food and good service.
Nice small Thai restaurant. They serve most of the standard dishes you would see at most Thai restaurants, but they do them very very well. Some of the best Pad Thai I've had in a while. They were also serving a Thai Sauage appetizer I haven't seen before. It was great.
Lovely Thai aromatic food
Great food and great service .
I’m married to a Thai and I came here based on the high rating. This is not 4.8 level of food. It’s middle of the road okay level of food. And atmosphere was not pleasing and Thai Thai I would rate 1.0 level.
Great food and friendly service. It’s no wonder the ratings are high…they are well deserved.
Price, food, services are all good. It is a smaller place.
Excellent food!
Best Thai place in Scottsdale. Excellent taste and quality. True Thai spice level. Order mild if you are not used to Thai spice. Tried chicken satay, drunken noodles, pad Thai, papaya salad, mango sticky rice, Thai iced tea. All of these were delicious.
Very very very good food does look like a hole in a wall but the staff is very nice and the minute you walk in you know the food will be good the smells you experience are so good and makes you ready to eat. If I could give it 10/5 I would
At the risk of making this place even more busy than it already is, I have to give Thai Coconut 5 stars. Excellent flavor, good portion sizes. I have gotten the Thai basil, pad see ew, drunken noodles, and pad Thai. My favorite is the beef pad see ew, fiancee loves the pad thai, easily one of my go-tos. Lunch special is great. This place is far from a hidden gem, if you dine in you should be aware that this place is not Scottsdale-level service. They are extremely popular because the food is amazing, and they do their absolute best to keep up with the amount of orders they get. The Thai hot is HOT!!!
My sister in law brought my wife and I here for a birthday dinner and wow what a great time.
Great customer service and even better food. Definitely recommend to come here.
Tasty food. Staff is friendly and has a warm smile.
Great Food
Disappointed after counting on the high ratings. My husband and I had a highly anticipated lunch today. His wide noodle dish had barely any vegetables while my seafood curry was nice except for the odd flavor caused by the canned bamboo shoots. The soup offered before the meal was a good idea and nice gesture except that it was basically salted water with cilantro. Still looking for a nice Thai place in the vicinity of Scottsdale.
Best Pad See Ewe in the metro Phoenix area!!!!
I placed an order at 11am and asked that it be ready by 3:45. When my coworker arrived to pick it up, they hadn't even started the order and then told her she had to wait in her car. Last time I order from this place.
My roommate had gotten the green curry with rice a couple of weeks ago. I had to get it again tonight. We love it.
Came here for a trip, highly recommend for authentic Thai food. Spicy basil fried rice is a must. Good sized portions. Food is share-style.
The place is average. I went by the current 5 star rating. I think the food is average certainly not worthy of 5 star and have high expectations.
I ordered crispy rolls, curry noodles, avocado green curry and Tom Yum soup. All the items were just ok. Food wasn't bad, but don't go with expectations of a perfect 5 star yelp rating place
The food was unbelievable and the experience was great. Quaint restaurant and you are able to see the kitchen from every table in the place. Wait staff and chefs are the same people and the food was BY FAR the best Thai food I’ve had in the Phoenix valley. Can’t wait to come back for more.
Update: We flew back into town from Denver and went straight to Thai Coconut. It’s as good as ever — wonderful food!!!!!
Fabulous Thai food — all fresh. We frequented this place a lot, but we moved away and now I can only dream of eating there given the poor choices in Denver. En (the owner) does everything from scratch and fresh, using also the best cuts of meat. Primo place. Don’t miss it!
A pleasant surprise! Our new favorite Thai restaurant for take out. We ordered Pad Thai, Penang Curry, Stir-fried Mixed Vegetables, and Green Papaya salad and everything was great taste and potions. We still have prenty of leftovers for tonight. We highly recommended!
This place has delicious Thai food. I’ve been here twice and got the Red curry, sticky rice, and Thai tea both times. Pad Thai wasn’t my favorite. Larb was good. I don’t know his name, but the gentleman that waited on us is so friendly and always smiling. I’ll definitely be back.
Simply the best Thai I've ever had - better than in NYC. Super friendly and delicious! Highly recommend in Scottsdale.
Great food, fast and friendly service!
Excellent food! Will be a regular stop with our daughter when we come to Phoenix to visit! The Panang Curry and Drunken Noodles are so good here.
This is hands down the best Thai food in the metro-city area! The food is delicious, portions are generous, and everything priced very reasonably. We’ve eaten here many times and the food is always fantastic, don’t forget to try their Thai iced tea!
I found Thai Coconut by accident by driving to The Handlebar J BBQ Restaurant. It's a great secret in Scottsdale. Great food and friendly staff and service. I'm now big fan of Thai Coconut and I drive over 3 hours (from southeast Arizona) for this food. Keep it up Thai Coconut worth the drive.
Wow. Everything is so good. Authentic Thai food. Highly recommend literally everything on this menu
Food and service were great!!!
