Delicious Thai food that brings some heat! 🌶️🔥 My family had dinner here on a Saturday evening, we ordered Pad Thai, Red Curry, Thai tea, and a sweet and sour curry dish.

Food came out pretty quick, the pad Thai was a wonderful balance of sweet and spicy which at other places can be difficult to balance. The red curry was also very tasty and not too sweet either. Thai tea was perfect too and it looked pretty too! Portion sizes are also good, you can share if you're not too hungry. Overall my family really enjoyed our meals and the the ambiance with good music in the background. We will definitely be going back!!!!! 😁

The young waiter was awesome, he was constantly checking in to see if water or napkins were needed. He was a rockstar and very attentive!!!

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. I get the Crispy Basil Chicken almost every time and I have never been disappointed. My son LOVES their orange chicken. (Both dishes are pictured below).

Hand down this is one of my favorite Thai restaurant for me. The food is very authentic with how traditional Thai food is but with a little twist. We order Pad Thai Shrimp and Pad Z U chicken, they were out of this world. The shrimps were jumping, juicy and cook to perfection. The Pad Z U is my personal favorite because the flavor just so delicious that I have a hard time to move on and try different dish 😝By the way, Mr.Thai takes his spicy level very seriously, we ordered a Thai tea and mango sticky rice for desert to put out the fire 😍

Excellent food and service! Just beware the medium Thai fried rice chicken is very hot 🥵, but it was still delicious. I should of went with mild.

This is our favorite local Thai food. We've had most everything on the menu and it is all very good and the service is outstanding. Chicken, egg rolls and Thai sweet and sour are our favorite dishes.

I have been here for a few years; the portion is getting smaller and smaller while the price keeps increasing. Suffers from shrinkflation and inflation at the same time.

I’m from Chicago (please, no that does not make me an expert, but Chicago has some pretty good restaurants) and trying to find really good restaurants here has been a challenge for me, especially with imp particular ethnic areas such as Indian Thai, Mexican and so forth. But Mr. Thai Bistro has to be one of the best places I’ve had in a long time. it compares with anything in Chicago and has a family owned business. The service is really good and the atmosphere is quite quaint. Good people, good food, good service very nice place to go have some good Thai food.

I'm not sure why this place has as high of a rating as it does. The food was made quickly and accurately. They can make food spicy, but this is where the good things end.

The food was bland. Nothing about the noodles or sauces were authentic. The Pad se ew noodles were flavorless and had no sauce. The Pad Thai was dry and had no sauce. The Garlic/black pepper chicken tasted like the lid of the black pepper container fell off, and they went with it.

I don't usually write bad reviews for places, but this time I had to. Hopefully it was an off day for them, but we will not be returning after ordering 5 dishes were all terrible. Some were inedible.

Just ate here with friends last night, at their recommendation, and the food was so good, I didn't even get to snap a photo! We had the pad Thai, drunken noodles, crispy chicken curry, and basil fried rice. All of it tasted amazing! The restaurant was courteous, and hospitable, making sure our waters were filled even after our meal, while we chatted and caught up with our friends. I will certainly be back for more in the near future! Seconding our friends' recommendation for this tasty spot 😁

We have good Thai 1 minute away but drive 15 minutes for this place.

We sat down to dine in but my kid was having a meltdown so we decided to take out after our food came. Throughout our time there owner and server were so kind and warm. GREAT customer service and understanding people. Food was very tasty, excellent flavor. Only thing I would suggest is go down 1 or 2 levels on spice there mild was a little spicy for us.

Have been eating here for around 7-8 years. Never have they once disappointed with their food. The spring rolls and tom yum soup are my favorite. Food tastes excellent and their service is quick and spectacular!

Cozy setting with delicious quality food, happy and kind staff, and excellent service. I’m always on the lookout for new Thai spots, and I’ll be trying the full menu from this one. As of now, the Beef and Broccoli (basic, I know) just melts in your mouth, and the rice served with it is good and proper for the culture.

The pad Thai can be described in the exact same way- fresh, flavorful, perfectly spicy. The entire time we were eating, we just kept saying “Wow”. Food, service, clean atmosphere… so impressive. I tried Crispy Basil Chicken based on reviews here and was delighted. We’ve had take out from here half a dozen times over the past year and not been disappointed. All the menu standards you’d expect are well represented. We enjoy their take on pineapple fried rice a little less tropical sweet than some with a bit more curry to it but delish! There are places within a couple miles with better “dine-in atmosphere” but not with better Thai food. Owner or his family are usually around and happy to customize any way you could reasonably request. Finish your meal before you post about it. Once or twice I’ve been skeptical but by the 3rd or fourth bite I’m digging it.

Mr. Thai is wow, chef’s kiss. The Khao soy has converted me - it’s the best combo of noodles basking in a curry blend. The pad thai, yellow curry and pad ginger were equally amazing. Tbh Mrs Thai is the real mvp running the kitchen. Both lovely humans, you 100% have to check this place out.

I would not eat there. I ordered my favorite Thai meal and the cook forgot to put ingredients in my food. I called when I was 15 minutes away and I was accused of lieing. I took and it back and got a refund. Not nice to do that to a customer who loves Thai food and supports their restaurants. I was tired from work and had to rip and run, when I all I wanted to do was eat my favorite Thai and go to bed. Thai Peppers saved the evening for me and made my favorite meal and all was well.

Stopped in with a craving for curry and pineapple fried rice and left feeling whole heartedly satisfied!
The staff were so helpful and accommodating when I inquired about the curry and fried rice being able to be modified for my food allergies (soy and gluten). She came back to the table twice to ask if certain ingredients were safe for me and was so diligent to relay the information back to the kitchen.
I wanted to take a picture of the before but here’s the after math of being able to indulge in a meal that I felt confident was allergy safe for me to eat! Also from a atmosphere perspective they had frag flowers on the table, such a nice touch!

Ate dinner here last night…..This is hands down the BEST thai food in gilbert! We had the salmon curry, thai tea and Tom Yum and the flavors were could not have been more loaded! This place hit the mark on flavor potency. On top of it, service was perfect, and this is 100% family owned. Everyone from the waiter to the chef was the family. Portions were very generous and the price matched the quality and the portion. Definitely making this our go to!

A wonderful meal and even better service. The pineapple fried rice was beautifuly plated and so flavorful. The best is my personal fav, Mango Sticky rice and they do it so well. Ended up here my first time because discount tire close by had a long wait. Now I'm grateful for that little nail because it helped me discover this little treasure.

I came here with my dad and we got hot pad Thai it was delicious and pretty spicy they noticed we were drinking a lot of water and they gave us coconut ice cream on the house! They had great service everyone was super nice they filled are water everytime we were below half and new napkins everytime we used one and they gave us candy with the check.

Got there and after seating (there were a total of 4 tables seated...and granted it's a tiny place...) but waited about 15-20 mins, after which another new party arrived, was seated and had their orders taken w/i a few minutes....but not mine! Who knows....maybe I reminded the waiter of someone they can't stand :p. Wished could've given the food a try but I definitely don't appreciate being ignored. While I was seated, I noticed their prices were significantly higher than the going price for decent Thai food.

I left and looked up another Thai place to try about 4 mins away....and thankfully waiter was attentive and had my order taken w/i 3 mins. Prices better as well. Food fantastic.

Seemed like whoever was waiting tables at Mr. Thai was super flustered and having a tough time with the orders he was juggling. So maybe that was it.

I really get a hankering for the Thai tea they make here. With the balance of sweet and creamy in the tea, it is some of the best around in my opinion. But I enjoy all their traditional curry and soup dishes that are most popular in Thai cuisine. You can adjust the spice level but lowest spiciness can still be spicy for those who are sensitive to heat. Of course, there are plenty of other choices that will not set your tongue ablaze. The spring rolls are a cool and refreshing way to please your palette.

Great for a casual date night or bring the whole family; I guarantee you can find at least one delicious item on the menu that will satisfy anyone in your party. Try it family style by each person ordering a dish to partake with the rest of your group! Sharing is caring. Who is Mr. Thai? The man running the front is named Radar, who I came to know several years ago as a customer. He always hustles to ensure you have what you need. His wife has been cooking in various Thai restaurants over the years, perfecting the tasty recipes, adding her own touch to the classic Thai dishes and brought them to Mr Thai Bistro. The hard-working family even have their sons in on the act, who occasionally help around the restaurant to ensure customers can be served throughout the year. According to Radar, they have been working 7 days a week for 5 years straight. After all these years pouring in their heart and soul into the restaurant and making it through the rough times of the pandemic, now, they have recently decided to change their business hours to catch a break from working a couple days a week. Thai tea was perfect too and it looked pretty too! Portion sizes are also good, you can share if you're not too hungry. Overall my family really enjoyed our meals and the the ambiance with good music in the background. We will definitely be going back!!!!! 😁

The young waiter was awesome, he was constantly checking in to see if water or napkins were needed. He was a rockstar and very attentive!!!

Ordered carry out on a Saturday night at 630. When I called the gentlemen said it’d be 45 min and asked if that was okay. I was hesitant but ordered anyways. Upon arrival the restaurant was very busy with both dine in and take out and looking to be severely understaffed. I questioned my choice as there were many people there before me also waiting for there take out. Within 5 minutes I was given my large takeout order. When I got home and served up the food to my family we could not believe how incredible it tasted. For how busy and understaffed Mr. Thai was it did not compromise the time it took to A get my food and B the quality of the food. I would not hesitate recommend this place to anyone. Literally everything we ordered was absolutely authentic and incredible. We will not go to any other Thai place in the valley now. And kudos to this hard working family making it work in time when finding quality employees is at its lowest! You guys are rocking it and keep on doing what your doing!!

This is a real gem of Gilbert! Delicious food and the sweetest workers. Pumpkin curry with shrimp was outstanding. The shrimps were perfectly cooked and that pumpkin, oh, gosh, that was absolutely the best pumpkin in my life! Super soft and fresh. Thai Sweet and Sour tasted great too.

Our first time here and we loved the food! The avocado rolls were so fresh. I ordered the panang curry and the flavor was amazing. My husband is always a fan of pad Thai and it did not disappoint. Definitely recommend

Mr. Thai Bistro is the absolute best Thai around. You cannot go wrong with any order. We come every week and they greet us by name. Great service and heavenly food. Our favorites are Khao Soy, Drunken Noodles, and Pad Thai.

Loved the service, ambiance, and food! Seems to be family run by kind people and couldn't be more pleased that we chose this place to introduce new people to Thai cuisine. The decor with elements of Thai culture only added to the experience. Small dining room but that works well when there aren't too any customers in as was the case when we ate.

Had Drunken Noodles (mild) and Kha Soy (medium). Both were really good, especially Kha Soy!! Spring rolls were more on the average side, but no complaints.

This little place is amazing ~ I had the Tom Kha soup (with lemongrass and coconut milk) and their drunken noodles, 2 dishes that you can find in any Thai place. They are hands down the best Thai that I've eaten in the Phoenix area, with rich, balanced flavors that are the closest to Thai food you can get here that you'd eat in Thailand! They are also incredibly accommodating about letting you customize your orders.

So thankful to have a Awesome Thai place right next to where I moved in, the Pad Thai is amazing possibly the best I’ve ever had (not kidding). The red curry is very good, as well the son on the phone has awesome customer service super cool dude 🤙 glad to call this my new Thai place

Absolutely a 11/10 place to eat! This has become my girlfriend and I's favorite place. The food is fantastic, the portions are large, and it won't break the bank. Not to mention the amazing service, tonight we got our food and it had egg in it (my girlfriend is vegan) and they remade the meal without hesitation, love this place!

Very consistent flavors each time. I really enjoy going here and ordering the pad Thai for the kiddos. Still have an authentic tamarind flavor without using fish sauce since we are plant based. And my Omni husband loves the panang curry. We are Thai Food lovers and this place is definitely on point for these items. The avocado rolls are really good too!!

Excellent service and phenomenal food. We had the pad thai, pad see ew, and drunken noodles and all were great, though our favorite was the drunken noodles. Keep in mind this establishment uses genuine Thai chili peppers (50,000-100,000 scoville), which is great for spicy food lovers but will be spicier than most are used to. As spicy food lovers, we got 3/4 spicy and it definitely had a kick, so if you feel any remote tingle of spice from jalapenos you might want to dial it back to a 1/4 at max.

Amazing food and amazing service! The man working brought a styrofoam cup and plastic utensils for our daughter without us even requesting them. He was always on top of filling up our water and checking on us.

The food was spectacular. The crispy basil chicken was one of the best fried chicken dishes I have ever had. Plan on sharing it though!

I also want to note that everything was actually really social distanced, unlike many places we have been, and he brought us hand sanitizer with the check.

Y'all have to try this place out. It's a small place so you can easily miss it but please do NOT miss this place!!! They easily have the best crunchy chicken that I have tried from a Thai restaurant and that shizz was bussin'. Juicy, hella crunchy, and flavorful. I tried the Crispy Basil Chicken and it's a flavor like no other chicken I've tasted so far. You get reasonably sized flavorful portions for a good price and they are fast at refilling water (I love services like that). The server was really sweet too. Respects to the guy named River (I hope I got his name right). He called me and my friend "boss" and that made me feel special 😀. 5/5 would come back again to try all of their menu. Especially their other Curry Crispy Chicken.

You can't always trust online reviews, but in this case the nearly perfect 5 star rating is SO well-deserved. Absolutely top-shelf Thai food. Yes, the location is small but that's not a bad thing. The ONLY negative is this place doesn't serve alcohol, but I knew that beforehand. The good news is they allow BYOB, so we just popped a couple beers in a small cooler...no big deal. Anyway, if you are looking for the best Thai you've ever had, look no further.

Absolutely amazing food and even better service! I ordered the mango salad (which was beautiful, should have taken a picture of it before devouring it) and the fried tofu. They were both delicious and I cannot wait to try more food here! I loved the texture of the tofu, it was perfect. The dipping sauce was to die for!

Very clean and superb customer service. We ordered crab delights, pumpkin curry, and mango sticky rice and it was the best. Love this place.

Loved it, we tried the yellow and red curry, pai thai, thai chicken and their rice - we have no complaints, everything was delicious and they also have great customer service. It is a small place, so IT'S not great for big parties, maybe 8 or 10 max.

This is our go to Thai place. We always order takeout. We get Pad Thai and Pad Se Ew (sp?) with whatever protein (they are all good). I will say that when they ask you if you want mild, medium, or spicy- I have learned to say NO SPICE lol. Like seriously- mild makes me sweat. Even my husband who loves spicy food can barely handle the mild. Just FYI. hahaha.

If you like it hot or spicy or not too hot or spicy Mr. Thai Bistro I the place for great Thai food. I can only think of one word for their food "FRESH."

Best thai this side of the Mississippi! I haven't had thai the other side of the Mississippi but I'm sure I'm still accurate. Penang w/chicken, heat level 3 with a side of prik na pla [spelling?] for added salty heat is out of this world. The pineapple shrimp curry surprised the heck out of me. So amazing! Fantastic food!!! Have lived in SE Asia and this is closest I have had. The veggies taste like they are grown on site and have amazing flavor, not sure how a restaurant can deliver on that quality in town. Family run business and they put their soul into making sure it is great. Thank you for every wonderful meal I have had here.
