We had a wonderful lunch here, I had red curry and my husband had massaman curry, both were wonderful. Mango sticky rice was divine. The portions were large, a lunch portion ended up being 2 meals and a snack! Very reasonable prices and excellent service. I was very thirsty and the gal refilled my water constantly. We had a great time here, thank you!
Amazing yellow, red and green curries. The pad Thai is also very solid and delicious. Service is always attentive and my water is never empty. It's one of the best Thai restaurants in Phoenix, and our small town is lucky to have it locally!
Everything ALWAYS delicious! I go on La Mai Thai binges where I can't get enough. We will order in and out 3 days in a row. We have also tried pretty much everything on the menu now. We gave yet to have one bad choice. I'm pretty sure this is our family's favorite restaurant in Fountain Hills. The owner is so kind too. He always expresses his gratitude.
Decided to try this place again after my experience last time, iv recommended people to this business, iv talked about this restaurant on my uncles radio show, my father used to be the governor of arizons, i come from a very wealthy good family. And one of the things I look at when I come to a restaurant isn’t just the food. It’s a multitude of things. How the services is is a server friendly is a server. Nice is the food delivered in a normal timeframe is the food good How’s the noise level? How’s the restaurant? Is it a welcoming restaurant? There’s a lot of things that I look at and I’ve decided after this visit I’m going to give it one more shot, but if they don’t hit They will lose me as a customer and 30 other people that’s how it works unfortunately, I don’t know how to express the restaurants but people that are spending money choose And they don’t like that for any reason
Food Or you know don’t like the service they won’t go and spend their money there. That’s their choice. A restaurant needs to make sure they’re hitting the customers marks that’s why they’re open. So let me discuss my restaurant experience today first off the server wasn’t checking on me asking me how my meal was. I had to ask for a glass of water he should’ve seen my glass was empty and he should’ve gone ahead and put water in my glass glass. Next, when I say thank you to a server doesn’t matter if I tipped him 20% or not if I say thank you to a server, he should be thankful back and say you’re welcome. Makes me regret giving him any tip. Normally he’s a pretty cool guy, but I don’t know if he was in a bad mood today or what was going on, but he wasn’t as friendly as normal next the papaya salad is amazing. Your food is great. That’s what keeps me coming. But way too much dressing in the salad today it was almost overflowing, less stressing. You don’t have to fill up the whole bowl with dressing. Next this is a professional workplace. It’s a restaurant you have money. You make good money at this restaurant don’t be cheap. Pay for daycare or leave your child with a family member and there’s no reason why when I’m trying to get away and have some peace I should hear your kid that’s not even my child screaming, and yelling when I’m trying to relax and think about my life and process things I was totally inappropriate totally unacceptable. That child is not belong in that place. I wanna save money, but there’s no reason to bring your child to restaurant. I’m telling you it doesn’t help your business. Grow your child out of control yelling and screaming. I mean I’m glad it wasn’t the owner screaming this time and fighting thank God, but a child should not be in the workforce that was unacceptable. I’m sitting there trying to eat my meal and trying to relax and every three seconds. I hear this kid screaming And I get you’re trying to your kid in the back and what not but you should’ve brought a bunch of toys for your kid. You should be like you know feeding your kid giving your kid things to do so your kids not screaming and yelling I mean, I could hear your child over the music. That’s how loud your kid was. It was not cool. It was ruining my meal . so let’s reiterate I’m gonna give this place one more chance one last chance you know and that’s more than I get most people but I like you guys I like the restaurant I think maybe you guys are just slacking recently I spent a lot of money there. I have a lot of family that goes there. My father was the governor would go to your restaurant. But that’s all gonna change if you guys don’t fix your issues so let me reiterate I don’t wanna hear a crying baby while I don’t wanna hear the owners fighting to be drowning, drowning with dressing and I want the server to be friendly, nice and appreciative of my business. I’m not asking for too much. I’m asking very very reasonable things here. I spent a lot of money here I’ve spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars dollars at your your restaurant the least you can do is honor of the small request that I have or I won’t be back it’s that simple
This place is legit! I have traveled to Thailand a bunch and the food here is so authentic! Everything is plated beautifully and we cannot wait to make this our regular spot for takeout! We decided to stop in to try it in person before doing takeout, but we are officially calling ourselves regulars at La Mai Thai!
Small place, good food!
Great place

I had a chance to have dinner at La Mai Thai while I was in Fountain Hills. The service was great. I had the chicken Pad Thai. The portion was large and very tasty. I will return to La Mai Thai next time I’m in the area!
I ordered the crispy pork that came with rice, at the fountain hills festival in 2023 and it was delicious! It reminded me of my Thai friend’s cooking. I don’t think it is offered on the menu in the restaurant and it might be seasonal. The place has excellent dishes and the service is superb!
Amazing yellow, red and green curries. The pad Thai is also very solid and delicious. Service is always attentive and my water is never empty. It's one of the best Thai restaurants in Phoenix, and our small town is lucky to have it locally!
We were in the area and took a chance. WOW! We are glad we did! We shared the som tom (papaya salad), garlic pepper entrée, and the special of the day Crab Fried Rice. Everything we ate was incredibly delicious and we're looking forward to eating here the next time we're in Fountain Hills.
Too warm inside sometimes.
Perfect amount of spice. Great food!
We are so fortunate to have this restaurant in our community and I wish them continued success for decades to come. I really recommended and I always get the Panyang curry spicy with pork. Yummmmm
Orange chicken was spongy and very dry. Disappointed!
Great little place to enjoy thia food. The food was aweome!.. Were already got plans to make it back this next week.
Great Service
Delicious Thai in FH. Panang and Thai coffee all the way! The lunch special is perfect. Highly recommend!
Great little place. Authentic Thai food. Great mango sticking rice dessert.
Our go to Thai place. Had many different dishes...all good. The Mongolian Beef is my new favorite....wonderful char on the meat. Really much better than you usually get elsewhere.
I really like LaMai. Food has always been outstanding.
One of my favorite Fountain Hills restaurants.
Best Thai food in the valley. The menu items 26 and 29 are our personal favorites. They are generous when it comes to quantity, and amazing when it comes to quality Thai food. When we have guests from out of town and they ask me what to order at La Mai Thai, I tell them to order number 26 if they are not afraid of having an orgasm during dinner. LOL....but it's so darned good!
I’ve been trying to come here for days but you guys have such weird hours, closed 2-4, closed this day, closed that day.
Just came here today because Google says you’re open till 8pm. I go there and there’s a sign on the door saying closed….. you should probably start updating your Google hours for days you guys randomly close shop.
Disappointed and done trying. If you want to make money you should probably be open.
The food is excellent. I'm Vegan and it's the only place in this town with vegan options so thank you La Mai Thai Cuisine! 😊
Best Thai food, esp after a long work day. Amazing staff. Highly recommended.
I would go broke if I ordered their Pad Thai as much as I want to. Best I've ever had - such a strong flavor of tamarind, and the pieces of crispy egg are amazing.
Best Thai in Fountain Hills.
The place is very dirty smells bad and the food really suck I would not recommend this dirty place to anyone 😞
Best Thai food in Phoenix hands down! After eating Thai food regularly in Michigan I became spoiled with good Thai spots and since moving to Phoenix and trying at least 15 different spots, I have finally found my go to! The Pad Thai and the sauce were so delicious!
Excellent food and great service!!!
Absolutely zero flavor. Waste of money.
Excellent. We were driving from Roosevelt dam to Mesa. This was the best.
I got the lunch pad Thai pasta with chicken. It was a lot of food and it was so good I ate the whole plate. The chicken was so tender and if you’re ever in Fountain Hills this place is a must. So good.
Decent place, super nice and accomodative and there was plenty of parking. I was expecting a reasonably authentic taste and up to the spice level I chose, but the food was average tasting for my liking and expectation.
The best pad Thai I have found in AZ! Quick and pleasant service. Been going there for years!
Excellent food!
No rest rooms slow making
Extremely sweet curry. Extremely sweet, and flavorless Pad Thai with soggy over cooked noodles. Value for money, ridiculously expensive. Very disappointed, reviews fooled me.
Cute, quaint little Thai place with fab food. Ordering a pot of soup expect a POT of soup.
We took home half our meal as we couldn't have finished it all on one go.
They offer a choice of spiciness by scale of 1 to 5 which we found very helpful in determining our preferred level of hot.
We'll definitely be back.
It's in a strip mall so there's not a ton of atmosphere, but don't let that fool you. Dishes (that I've tried) have a great flavor and are well balanced. Don't pass this place up; although you probably want to get an order to go, as there isn't much seating.
Really good find. Food was cooked perfectly and the service was great
Glad I found this restaurant! It's one of my favorite restaurants to go in town. Great, quick service and friendly staff. Love the Pad Thai, big portions and reasonable prices.
Don't judge this restaurant by its size. The Great Service and Tasty Food makes this place a diamond in the rough.
Food: authentic and exceptionally delicious, Service: nice and warm. I’m from north cal, I can’t find a match in the Bay Area.
Elegant presentation, fabulous taste and amazing service. Setting very casual.
Usually this place is spot on. Ordered the pad Thai, and it was absolutely flavorless. I had to get the order to go, so I didn’t notice it until I got home. Had to add garlic, salt, onion powder, and Cayenne pepper to my order once I got home. Once I added those ingredients , the dish was good. Hardly any green onion in the order either, and this dish was an overall disappointment for what we usually experience at this location. Maybe I just went on the wrong day.
Wow! Great surprise, the food exceeded expectations and portions are generous. Such great food served by such very polite and friendly people.
Very nice people with good food. Worth a visit
Best pad Thai I’ve ever had. Attention to detail and kind service.
Been going there for years. Love it. Usually we do take out.
Food was less than mediocre. Overcharged us , of course. Not cool. Wouldn't have mined if portions and food were good , but no . Turn back
This restaurant is always a great place to have authentic Thai food, it's been a great since I discovered it.
I've never had a bad meal from this restaurant the vegetables are always fresh and the food is always delicious
Great food and service. Very nice owners and staff. They never disappoint… so happy to have some quality here. They are one of the few businesses that actually care about what they do!
And they always answer the phone when I call for take out… unless they are slammed or closed. Never an issue tho.
Good Thai ....
Lot's of take out customers
Been calling for a couple of hours and no answer!!
Th free food was feel licorice with hot, large portions. Food came quickly and our waitress was thoughtful and personable.
Do NOT order by phone.
I was very disappointed to not get what we ordered, however at a time in history when there are not enough native English speakers (especially those with a good work ethic) available to get things done, I welcome and give grace to people who do not speak English. Welcome! :-).
I was hankering for a certain dish (#22) however I now know what #21 tastes like. Next time, I will definitely order in person and confirm that the communication cycle has been completed. I still give a four-star rating though, the food is good and the young lady who took the order and gave me the different order was very pleasant and well-intentioned! :)
Food was amazing, delicious and attractive. Our lunch portions were generous. The peanut salad dressing was yummy too.
Our server was kind, friendly and attentive.
Not close to where we're staying, but we'll be back for sure!!
Delicious food, great service
Plan to take out if you want food from this eatery. Small quarters and the temperature inside is too warm to be enjoyable. We tried it because of its higher ratings but it fell short in our reviews. Completely ordinary.
We had a good meal, Saturday lunch. The lunch deal is only M-F. Prices are a lot higher than the picture of the menu I found here. Lunch special is now $12. It was previously $8.
Excellent!
I’ve had really good Thai Food in my travels but LaMai far exceeds the level good. Finally a Thai restaurant that can actually get the spiciness to “Thai Hot” all others have fallen short. If you love Thai Food I HIGHLY RECOMMEND #LaMaiFountainHillsAZ baby❤️
La Mai Thai serves up GREAT Thai Food. I love that it's so close and my #1 favorite place to get really some of the best, FRESHEST, Thai Food. Their fresh rolls are really special and if you're not sharing, enough for a lunch. They also travel well and are fresh up to a few days later. I've had Pad Thai and the portions are enough to share, or have another meal or two. They serve with all the extras, including ground peanuts, extra carrots/cabbage, etc. I suggest ordering more than a few items as you'll be craving for leftovers. Their service is excellent and consistent. You can't go wrong ordering from La Mai Thai. OH.... but if you get a craving on a Sunday, they are closed. So plan ahead! YUMMM
Amazing food the best Thai food I've had since moving to fountain hills! I will definitely be coming back! My only issue was my friends tofu dish was made with chicken and she's vegetarian, they were super busy so we didn't go back to get it replaced, but they had someone walk out on them so I completely understand why it took so long and they made that mistake it happens. But we all want to go back to them again!
We like to support small local businesses like this. The food is always good here. Sometimes they're out of some menu items, but that could be because we tend to go there an hour before they close. Friendly service.
Had Pad Thai and Gai Satay. My wife had Cashew Chicken which they customized for her. Small quiet atmosphere, delicious food, great prices.
Love it.
Unexpected excellence. Great noodle options and vegetables cooked to perfection. An unexpectedly great find in FH. Try the Iced Thai coffee..you'll thank me.
The orange chicken was one of the best I've had. Spicy noodles were great my daughter said. The pad Thai was good too but my mom found a hair in a piece of chicken. I had the crab fried rice and didn't like it but my daughter did. The food was very good but the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Our table was very sticky. You have to go thru the kitchen to get to the bathroom and the bathroom was filthy. Had multiple solid air fresheners to cover the smell. The kitchen and the walls, the woodwork, the floors, baseboards all needed a good dose of soap and water. Had we been to the bathroom before ordering, we would have walked out and found another place to eat due to the level of filth and grime.
The food is always delicious, and the prices are low
Great food !!
Food is good 👍
Simply delicious!!!! Enough said.
Highly recommend their food. This place is very understated and might be overlooked due to location or casual feel however they certainly pack a punch with their amazing service and food. Local gem.
Food was so salty it was not edible. I had only one bite of the Pad Thai. I was still billed for the dish. Bad choice by the waiter to charge me anyway for it. My wife’s dish was OK but it was salty too. Will not go back to this place for at least another year to give it another try if it is still in business. I would recommend to go somewhere else.
Excellent food! The fried rice was the best I've had since moving from San Diego.
Great food, great service
Great food, very good service.
Friendly folks, and great food. Thank you for making it through these tough times!
Worst delivery experience I've ever had. An hour and a half late and the order was wrong. Don't do it.
Very good meal
I will be back next year!
Curry was good and the shrimp and chicken fresh rolls we like as well.
Had take out the other night n was really disappointed with the food.. it tasted bland and the rice was not cooked well. A few bites into it n I had to throw it away...give it a try n see what you think you might like it but as for me I will not be returning. I will drive the extra mile to Scottsdale for thai food..
Was disappointed and had high hopes due to the amount of reviews
Authentic Thai food in Fountain Hills, and I've eaten in many Thai Restaurants over the years. Small dining room, though, so we always order take out. Highly recommended. Worthy of being in a far bigger and better location. Just love the red curry with tofu! The best!
Yellow curry way awesome!
Pai ti was also great.
Food was great. Service was terrible. Water tasted like sewage.
Love their curry, always a delight to be here.
Love their Pad Thai with Chicken! Always fresh and spiced just right for me at #1.
Friendly staff and the BEST orange chicken I have ever had.
Food was excellent!
Small and cozy restaurant with good, fresh food and a friendly server. No alcohol served on the premises.
Everything here is AMAZING!!!
Really friendly people and great Thai food. I do wish that there were a few more veggies in the curries, but the flavor is excellent and I love the spice levels. This is definitely a staple for my household and I really encourage you to try it!
Fast, friendly service. The take out food was high quality, authentic and savory. I cannot wait to return! Highly recommend.
Nice small intimate place. Great service. Set up for social distancing. Food is excellent. Recommend
Came to fountain hills for a little weekend getaway from Mesa. I was starving and needed food ASAP. My husband googled food and said “you want Thai”? Ummm YES. We head there, order and I ask to replace the orange chicken with tofu. They seem skeptical, but said sure. They fry up the tofu and will use the sauce. Sounds great to me! Well little did I know this would be the most amazing tofu I have ever had. If you’re a vegetarian/vegan you must order the tofu in place of the meat. It’s so good and I will def be making special trips to fountain hills for this place. Oh and we got the Thai fried rice and I was shoving it in my face on the way to the hotel raving about how good it was. This is a must eat place. Please go!!
Wow. Unbelievably good food. Amazing rice, perfectly fried tofu, delicious sauce, crispy spring rolls... We couldn't believe Thai food this good was out here in Fountain Hills. We'll eat here every time we visit.
Tried La Mai Thai the other day for the first time, only disappointed that I haven't tried this place earlier! I had the red curry dish with beef and it was great. Generous portions and the spice level was perfect. I've been looking for a good Thai place in Arizona for 3 years and I've finally found one!
This place is so good! We've tried the Pad Thai, Panang, and Spicy Noodles twice so far (level 3/5 spice for all), and they've been awesome both times. Highly recommend.
Authentic Thai food. Best in town
Delish
We love this simple place with GREAT green curry!
Very good green curry. But too sweet.
Great standard Thai food w a few surprises. Could use a bit more unique house specialties. Great local business!!
First time for dinner at this Thai place, 4 people, everyone was very happy, we tried 4 dishes and everyone was outstanding. Delicious, great flavors and plenty of food. We are going to be regulars here. Every dish looks like the pictures on their website . Service was very good too and the price was right.
Great cute little place really good food
Excellent. Delicious. Eaten there around 50 times.
Cashew chicken, Broccoli medley in brown garlic sauce my two favorites. The real McCoy it is.
Excellent food, staff seemed a bit overwhelmed with the amount of business on a Monday night...
I wasn't expecting much when we went for lunch, but I was pleasantly surprised. I had the green curry chicken, which was really good. Unlike most Thai food I find lately, these guys don't over sweeten their dishes.
The service was also exceptional. Fast, friendly, efficient service mad the whole experience worth it. I'll definitely be back.
Authentic Thai food. Limited seating best for takeout.
Love the food 😁
The food and service was amazing. First time here, but surely won't be the last. I highly recommend this place for authentic thai cuisine.
Wonderful! We were delighted with our lunch both times we have visited.
Excellent Food!!! Great service, and good lunch specials too.....
Excellent food, fair price
Suprize in FH. Good thai.
So delicious. Love their curry. If I visit Fountain Hills again It will be my first stop.
Most delicious Pad Thai I have ever tasted. My husband & I frequent the lunch special almost every week. Fried rice is great too. All the ingredients are fresh. The place is so clean and the service is excellent. You won’t be disappointed !
Great local thai.
May be my favorite place to eat in Fountain Hills! The curry is delicious, as are their salads that come with lunch entrees. The Thai coffee is also very tasty and worth trying out. Their presentation is very pretty, but the food tastes even better than it looks. Highly recommended!
Very tasty, though items listed as spicy were not really. ^_^ pad khee mao in particular. Panang curry was delicious.
Good food; nice presentation
Good Food and Even better service! Loved the selectipn of music :) would recommend!
Small restaurant with big flavor. Well worth a visit. Fast service, good price and very tasty food.
The food is amazing! Quite possibly the best Orange Chicken I've ever tasted! We also had Red Curry and Pad Thai, all thumbs up!!
Atmosphere is kinda a whole in the wall, but they're friendly and food presentation is great. I assume most get delivery/take out, had no idea this place has been here for nearly three years!
The sea food dish needed more sea food not just broth.
Good food good service delicious restaurant
