This restaurant has outstanding food. We started with the Crab Rangoon and Cucumber salad, which were very delicious. We had the Pad Thai with shrimp and chicken. Those entrees were also delicious, and the portions were ample. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the restaurant was immaculate. Our server was attentive and friendly, which made this visit a ten. The only drawback was that they were without a liquor license, so we couldn't get beer or wine, but that wasn't a deal breaker, and we decided on Thai tea, which was very refreshing. We will be back in the future.

Went here for the first time and love it. The atmosphere is calm, there is a little bar on the side. The lady who waited on us was very nice and attentive. She didn't bother us like a lot of other places do. She let us eat in peace. 🥰 The cost of the food was pretty good. I would definitely bring more people here to eat.

The taste is worth the price!!!! After living in this town for far too long, I've started losing my mind with the lack of good oriental food, unlike what I grew up around. So today I went to a place not far from work and was pleasantly surprised. The young woman there was so sweet, even after showing up 20 minutes after my food was ready to be picked up, she greeted me with a smile. AND MY FOOD WAS STILL HOT!!! The Thai tea makes for an amazing sweet/cool beverage while enjoying a nice hot red curry. I went with medium spice and chicken. If you've never been here, you should change that as soon as possible.

With times being tough and prices going high these portions started behind. fit the $60 we paid definitely not with going back. My wife liked the Tom Yum soup which had more tofu and chicken than vegetables, sure also liked the summer rolls, that are huge but still expensive. i got the orange chicken which again small portion and lacked taste and i asked for no broccoli and onions and it came with guess what..... broccoli and onions. they did have a special on the crab rangoon but I one get one but despite that you have to dip it in the sauce to get some flavor because without it was bland. no offense but I've made better. anyways that's my 2 sense about this place. see for yourself

Never thought that there would be a Thai restaurant that makes really good food that is made fresh, delicious and affordable especially the orange chicken and chow mein which I personally would recommend trying. The restaurant at first almost looks like this place is abandoned but when I walk inside the place is clean and well maintained and the server was very kind and helpful with the menu of which food I should recommend. Love the place and I would try something new on their menu.

The Pad Thai was really really good!! Portions are big enough for leftovers. Definitely not your typical Thai place, it looked like a high end restaurant inside with lots of seating.

We went all the way to the restaurant yesterday just to find it was closed again for the third time.

The chicken and vegetable dish was horrible. Mostly onions and vegetables overcooked. Will not return again. There are better Tai restaurants in Bullhead City, Az

They have NO liquor license. Yet, beer signs still on in exterior windows and bottles of alcohol on shelves behind bar. That is False advertising. The Pho was fair at best, very greasy with few noodles and little meat. Broth is quite thick, greasy and heavy compared to what Phō broth should be normally. Quite disappointing

We were there on October 2nd and it was only three tables full. We decided to eat here since it wasn't crowded. The server came over. Told us they had no liquor license so they couldn't serve alcohol. That was fine. The problem was the server was the only one working the floor and she allowed herself to be held hostage in conversation with one group at a table. Then she continued to keep talking to them as I'm waving to get her attention so I can put my order in. She walks off towards the kitchen stops and then turns right back around and walk back to the table without putting their order in asking more questions and then they carried on two more whole conversations. That is frustrating. She was over there talking with them for at least 15 minutes. No exaggeration. She needs to learn how to cut the conversation short and get people's orders in. She had only been there about a month or so. We walked out since we couldn't get her attention. Even though she was only two tables away she couldn't see us waving at her or didn't even see us leaving. Bad business. Thank you for doing that. I got a chance to finally go to samurai Japanese steakhouse instead.

The food was very good however, the server did not listen. I ordered the lunch specials and the full size versions were given instead. When asked if I'd like the spring roll or potsticker I chose the potsticker and my daughter chose the spring roll. We were given 2 spring rolls.

I’ve been coming to Chao Praya since it opened in December 2022, and they never disappoint. The only thing better than the authentic Thai cuisine at this restaurant is the attentive and friendly service! I enjoy coming here when I’m just looking for a great Thai meal, but when I want to keep the diet healthy, there are plenty low carb, nutritious items on the menu. It is evident when you enter the restaurant that time and effort was spent on creating a memorable atmosphere, and they feature a full bar for those looking for a fun night out. I also highly recommend Chao Praya for the couple looking for a romantic night out. 👍

The waitresses name is Maddie and she was awesome, fast, and so friendly. The food was great and plenty for take home, the beer was crisp so over all we had a great dinner and service. We will be back!!

This is a great find for us, a very well managed restaurant that serves legit Thai food in this area. It was a late visit on Friday night but we were greeted by this nice young lady who explained their menu offered us great food and excellent service very efficiently. We are well travelled through US and Asia so we are very familiar with Thai food, here or abroad. This restaurant serves us well and we will definitely be back for more.

Chicken Pad Thai level 1 spice and a Pork Drunken noodle with no veggies or spice for my kids to share.
My pad thai came with no spice and the Pork drunken noodles came with CHICKEN and it was too spicy to even eat. Called the restaurant back and was given no resolution. Won’t be going back waste of my money.

Inauthentic Thai. The beef phó was merely spaghetti noodles in a dark broth.
The chow mein was bland as well.

Went in on a weekday around 1pm and there was plenty of seating. No wait and had service right away. Ordered yellow curry and a green bean dish. You can upgrade your side order of rice to egg fried rice for a charge. But can’t upgrade it to a meat fried rice. That upgrade is considered an additional entrée. Downside was my meal was lukewarm when it arrived and was too cold before I could finish it. However, the flavors were great, presentation was appealing, and decor was nice.

You pick your level of spice, but if it’s not hot enough there’s additional spices at the table.

They do have karaoke and ladies night. There is a sports bar area with tvs. It’s a nice layout. There’s a patio area for outdoor seating.

The only other not great thing was the cleaning solution smell was really strong and overwhelming. The waitress cleaned off the table next to us, and the smell took over the area for a bit. Not a great experience while eating.

Favorite Thai place, the food is to die for. Worth every dime.

Decided to try this new Thai restaurant, we were seated quickly no one was inside.
Right off the hostess/waitress asked for our drink order, when she came back we had some questions about the lunch menu and when we asked she seemed to have a bad attitude, she was very rude I felt. She brought our food and never came back and checked on us except to bring the check.
The portions are very small my Yellow curry had 4 small pieces of chicken, one dice of a potato, 3 small onion pieces, and 1 slice of carrot in this tiny cup.
It came with white rice.

The prices are $10.95 for lunch and of course higher off menu.
The curry was ok, nothing special.
While we were eating...
Another group of people came in and the hostess/waitress was just as rude to them as she was with us. Show probably shouldn't be in customer service since she seemed mad for you even coming in their.

Not worth the money plenty other than restaurants in Bullhead with lunch specials cheaper and allot more food for your buck.

Great food and service. I got the yellow curry and I haven't had any as good as this in a while. Meat was tender and potatoes were delicious. Free refills were a definite plus. Good prices and portions. Everyone of the staff was very kind. I most certainly will be coming back to have more delicious food 😋

This place is a total joke .. My favorite thai place is closed for six weeks so the family can go on vacation to thailand . so I thought id give this place a try .. Got there and they have a big sign . CREDIT CARD OUT OF ORDER .. So I left came back 4 days later same sign .. . Now I try to call to see if they got it fixed , But they never answer the phone . I have been in business all of my adult life . I at times have had a credit card problem . But I have not once had it out for more than a day . Tells me they have no credit , Witch also tells me they have to cut corners , And your eating that stuff . BEWARE . I only gave it a star because it wouldn't let me post without .

~ First off bring cash!!!!!! Or you can another 3 dollars in atm fees to your bill. Its cash only.
~The coconut soup was tasty but no veggies, none. Except for onions. The bowl was filled with onions.
~The chicken terriaki was aweful it was processed chicken. Yuk!
~I've had green curry at many different Thai places but the flavor here was awful. I didn't even eat it! I mean how can you screw up curry.
~Do you think the waitress seeing a full bowl of curry at the end of the meal would have asked if anything was wrong? Nope not at all.

Absolutely the pits. Got sick after eating here! Need health Dept to check place. Some reason their food smells like a wet dog? Rude, no social skills, really they could care less about the customers. Sitting in restaurant their phone just rings and rings while we're trying to enjoy meal. Just pick up the phone! Really the place acts like they're doing you a favor. I like Thai food but not enough to deal with a bunch of low life's who think the customer is not their base. They forget they're in America not in a 3rd world country you can't serve food in dirty conditions and treat customers like they're bothering you. Here you eventually Go Out of Business. Check out their bathrooms FIRST then think about eating here.

This is my second visit to Chao Praya. Actually love this place, the food is fresh and the taste is consistent. You are given a choice of how spicy you want your food from 1-5 , 1 being mildly spicy and 5 being super spicy, we opted for 3 and was spicy but not overbearing for our tastes, everyone is different though. I will be back again soon...

I had the worst Pad Thai in my life. Bad service and rude waitress, which are tolerable to me as long as the food is good. But the Pad Thai here is absolutely the worst among all those I had before across the US. It had a strong and vomitive smell and a bloody taste. I simply stopped eating after the first bit. I found that the review for this restaurant is not bad, so maybe they make good food except Pad Thai? But, stay away from it if you want Pad Thai.

Food was ok, but took too long to get which wasn't a problem. The problem was when we went to pay for a party of 15. My sister went to pay her portion first, but the server said, "No, not splitting the bill for you. I asked but, you guys said no. Figure it out yourselves." If you asked, we didn't hear. But, not a good response! Our first and last time! We travel in large groups. You just lost our business--along with our friends and families!!

We eat here every time we visit Bullhead. The staff is very friendly and the food is great. When they say spicy they mean it, so order accordingly. We love the War wonton soup always good, and a curry dish a 3 on spicy will do for us. Worth a trip if you are in town.

Great curry and Pad Thai

I used to live in the LA area and became enamored with Thai red curry and pad see ew there. They are the two dishes my girlfriend and I order at any/all Thai restaurants we visit, and are hardly ever disappointed - the same goes for Chao Praya. They make our favorite plates the same as our favorite restaurants in the city, so you could easily believe this is mostly authentic Thai cuisine out in the middle of the desert.

Not quite as good after they changed management a few years back. The curries do not have as good of flavor, and the pad woon sen and pad thai are not the greatest. I would eat here if I was at Safeway and could not wait to eat.

The service was great, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect! Had my good ole favorites here and we'll be coming back for more!

Well to start the bathrooms were clean and that means alot to me. Second the food was soo delicious. I ordered the Pad Thai with a #4 heat. So delicious and very easy to get addicted to it. Third, its a clean and relaxing place to eat. The prices are reasonable and my wife loved their PAH Tak soup. Very awesome. Beware the #1-5 heat really means it is hot at 4 and 5. Bought time someone got the heat down!! Also, order the homemade coconut ice cream. It's a great touch of coconut and vanilla ice cream. Great service for anyone in a relaxing atmosphere.

I ordered the papaya salad (spicy level 4), pad see ew with beef and iced Thai tea to go. The Thai tea was good and pad see ew mediocre. The papaya salad was super spicy and delicious. HOWEVER, midway through my meal, I found a piece of hair in the salad and completely lost my appetite. I saw that the cooks did not wear hair nets or even a hat. Wouldn't recommend this restaurant. Try a different Thai restaurant in this area.

Welcome to one of the best places to eat in Bullhead City, only second to Samurai Steakhouse. Coming from someone who is 25 and has lived here since I was 7 years old, please trust me every other place in town is awful and i'm not just talking about asian food. Mohave Steakhouse is decent but why you would go there over Samurai Steakhouse is beyond me. Chao Praya has an awesome lunch menu and a wide array of Thai dishes that should satisfy that crave for real flavor which I assume is the reason you're reading a review. Be careful of the spiciness levels offered as this is real Thai food with real spices involved, they offer to adjust the heat according to your preference and I strongly suggest you start with "2" and work your way up if you feel it necessary. I don't suggest the orange chicken, if you think orange chicken will ever be good you should stop reading reviews and stick to the tasteless trash they call food in this town. I wish they would take it off the menu until
they realize they don't need to please people without taste buds. I would never disgrace all the amazing food they have on the menu by serving something that tastes just like all of the other restaurants in Bullhead that don't care about anything but the price of ingredients and how easy it is to cook. With all that said I give Chao Praya Thai Cuisine 5/5 stars without hesitation, like another reviewer said this place is good even for a bigger city with taste buds and standards. On a side note I also suggest Mama Mia's, these are the only three places I would ever bring family members, friends or dates in Bullhead.

This place is pretty authentic. They dont' go easy on the spice level, which i actually appreciate. I had the pad thai and a thai tea. Very good. This is my go to for Thai food in town. I haven't sat down, but what service ive had they've been really nice. delivery is very fast too. Just beware when you order your level of spice their 5 is everyone else's ten.

Very friendly service and food. Although decor was not excellent, it was cute in there. I ordered chicken pad Thai and there was so much to go around. I will definitely go back!

A pearl in dumpy town...I found this spot using google maps and although there was only 2 reviews they seemed sincere. we were apprehensiveness but completely fed up with the garbage at these laughlin buffets. Chao Praya would be substandard in any big city because the decor is laughable and service is mediocre but based simply on flavor and variety of thai dishes this place is hit. Prices were extremely fair and worth every penny, for four people we spent 55 and my favorite thai place with the same food in los angeles would be $100+. I hope they find someway to remodel and hook in some casino traffic because the local community doesn't look like they appreciate anything but drivethru..
