Found a piece of metal???? In my boyfriends food after bringing food back home. We called and they said they'd credit back the cost, but they never did. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. How does metal even get in a noodle dish??? Suspicious food preparation conditions and they lied about returning money. The other meals weren't good either. Katsudon was tough and cold. Tempura was soggy. Don't recommend under any circumstances.

Came with family for the first time and had a good time. Atmosphere seemed pretty new and renovated, the staff was friendly and helpful, and food was delicious and arrived quickly. The standout for me was the Japanese curry. As someone who lived in Japan for a few years, I think I found a gem that comes very close my favorite curry restaurant there.

Admittedly, our meal was delayed because they were low on both the chicken and Tilapia (fish) and had to thaw both for our meals. It happens, but wise is the culinary team who prepares for this… Otherwise, good meal and service.

Found METAL STRING CUTS in my food. Never got my money back. Not authentic foods, not even worth to call it 'fusion'. Yakisoba is just a sad joke. Tonkatsu is just trash. Even my dog would not eat it.

They were very polite to us, even though we came pretty close to when they were gonna close, did not rush us out took there time with everything.

My only two complaints are that the shrimp tempora is not how i like it and im not a fan of the tv. Everything and everyone is amazing and im surprised the variety doesnt let the quality suffer. Love the fish tank too. Would recommend.

Amazing service fantastic food. I've had nearly every roll on their menu and they're delicious. The set meals are great and the tempura is crispy and light.

Extremely overpriced… Ordered takeout and spent $75 on 2 orange chicken & fried rice meals + gyoza as the appetizer . This would cost $40-50 anywhere else. The sauce didn’t even come on the chicken and the fried rice is in a container the size of a sauce cup (approx 1 cup). A waste of money & not worth it.

Great food, polite & quick service, and a relaxing atmosphere for a casual family dinner or a large group gathering.

So to begin this adventure we shall start with the entrance experience. No actual greeting but a hash come over here. The decor is much like the pop music being played to loud. Tacky, and simply to much. The miso soup arrived, mine had nothing but broth as my guest had Tofu and seaweed . So not consistent in the presentation. Dinner was present well. Looks great, smells great. So fingers crossed. Unfortunately, flavorless was the dish of the day. Every component was extremely under seasoned. The tempur was soggy the teriyaki beef was 2 minutes under cooked and my California roll tasted old, looked older. Was clearly not prepared today yet alone to order. Although many of the reviews are in favor of the restaurant, The fact is it is subpar at best. All my hope and excitement for trying this place was defeated by the food itself.

I have ordered from Kim's multiple times now. My partner and I tried them and were blown away with both the quality and flavor of the food. I will indeed continue to order from Kim's in the future

Ordered hot tea.. I thought it was free and came out in the silver pot It was just some watered down tea for 2.50 in a cup I would have skipped it and ordered Thai tea... Not enough pictures on the menu.. portions were small.. place was big and not very cozy...

Update: we recently placed a takeaway order, and we're sorry to say it was awful. Tonkatsu was paper thin, all grease and burnt breading, the Druken noodles were absolutely inedible. wow, I'm not sure what happened. Yucky 🤮

Everything we've had from here has been amazing! We live in Anchorage and make the trip to here when we want Asian food, every where else is subpar so far!

I have been going to this restaurant for their spicy ramen noodle soup for years. I went in today and was greeted by a lady I’ve never seen before. I placed my normal order for spicy ramen with no egg add extra vegetables instead. She told me that the ramen doesn’t have any veggies in it… just onion. And that I would have to pay $3 extra for vegetables even though I’m omitting the egg. I explained to her that I’ve been ordering this same thing for years and she cut me off and said new owners. I asked when new ownership took over and she said a year ago. I just placed this same order 2 weeks ago and got it no problem. The woman working the desk at the front is costing you a long time customer. She was rude, dismissive and uninformed. I will not be going back.

I have to amend my review. I’ve posted before about enjoying the amount of veggies in their pho.
Grabbed food several times here before and while it’s pricy, it’s the way things are now.
This time I decided to order a sushi roll last night, that’s a huge splurge for me but it sounded good. Got home to realize how small a portion an 18$ roll is.
I expect sushi to be expensive, but I also expect a full roll out of it.
I confirmed that 5 pieces was a “normal roll” here and yes it is. I am speechless that they would charge so much for so little food. Anywhere else I have ever gone, a roll has more slices (of the same or larger size).
It wasn’t the best sushi of my life, far from it.

Unfortunately the sesame chicken was also a disappointment, tasteless and very watery.
After this, I cannot recommend the place anymore. I’m very disappointed.

Excellent tasting for!

Sushi was great, but the server was SO unwelcoming! We usually always have great experiences with waitresses wherever we go, but this one acted like the sight of us made her sick. She did not come back to our table once and the entire time she was giving us bad looks. It confused me because we have never had this type of service anywhere! The reviews say that they have friendly staff, so maybe the server had a VERY VERY bad day that day. The rest of the staff was friendly. We are going back soon and I will update if we have better service.

Best restaurant in Eagle River. Our family favorite. A dedicated owner and staff. Great quality food. MSG is on the menu. If you are against it, your choices are less. Ambiance and constant crowd is tell tale sign of the best place to dine.

Nice cozy atmosphere that was well decorated for Alaska. The food was great and they have a massive amount of variety.

Overpriced for the serving size and the food taste just so-so. Service slow despite there hardly being anyone there and they had enough servers (based on my experience being a server in the past). Nothing to write home about. Skip this place.

Tried again. Last time. Small portions with a large price, not good tasting. Took the first bite and bit into something hard, my teeth ached for hours afterwards. Glad I didn’t break a tooth. Wouldn’t recommend, won’t be going back.

This place was okay. I wouldn't run back, but if I was dying for Thai food and didn't want to drive into Anchorage... I'd totally go here. The atmosphere inside is very nice. The prices aren't great but aren't bad. I think we each spent 18 to 16 for each of our dishes. Just the entree, not including appetizers or drinks. Again not great, but not bad.

Service was absolutely wonderful here. We were constantly checked on to make sure we were happy with our meal. The sushi was fresh and beautiful. The sake flight is so cool. We loved it!

Beautiful Dining Room. Friendly servers. Delicious sushi rolls. Chicken Katsu Curry is great. My only reason for 4 stars is the Yakisoba and Gyoza were both oily...but I suppose that is usually pretty common amongst most Asian Cuisin places. All in all, this is a great place right here in Eagle River!

Excellent service and food. The absolute best sichuan beef since I left Taiwan, hands down.

Food was amazing but be prepared to make more rice at home. I've never seen such little rice from an Asian restaurant. We spent about $150 on take out the other day and got these 2 little half cups of rice and annoyingly had to make more rice at home to eat the rest of the food. They should really just splurge on the cheap part of the meal.

This is my favorite Asian restaurant! Amazing service--you feel very attended to. It's never too crowded because there's a lot of space for customers to spread out. Incredibly clean, which is important in a sushi place. The pho bowl tastes and is garnished better than actual pho restaurants! It's hard with pan-Asian cuisine to do everything well, but whether it's Japanese, Thai, or Chinese food here, I've never been disappointed. Great atmosphere. In my opinion this restaurant is underrated and is WAY better than Jimmy's.

Absolutely delicious food. Recently moved to Eagle River and wanted to try a new place. I had the teriyaki salmon meal, and it was amazing. Came with fresh vegetables and perfectly cooked white rice. I was a bit skeptical since I'm not big on either teriyaki or salmon, but this is hands down one of the best meals I've had! I also got the sticky mango rice, also amazing. The sweet sticky rice pared great with the tang of the mangos, it also came with a side of a sweet coconut sauce. Overall, one of my new favorites. Highly recommended, a must try!

Dirty restaurant..do not eat in here

Ignored for over 45 min. Tables sat after us were given to-go boxes and bills before we received our appetizers and soup. There is no way I would go back, regardless of how the food tastes...once we get it...appetizer was cold despite being a hot dish? This was horrendous

Food was just OK, at least based on.my pad thai, which had way too much brown gravy-,like sauce on it. Servers were pleasant and solicitous, but the sushi roll i ordered ahead of the rest of our lunches, as an appetizer while we waited for a third person to arrive, was brought to our table not only after the third person arrived and we placed our orders, but also after soup AND several minutes after the entrees.

Kim's is our favorite place for delivery. The food is always warm and delicious. We've tried quite a few things on their menu and have always been very pleased. They give you a great amount of food and the delivery service cannot be beat. Some highlights: the pad thai is fantastic. Great sauce, very filling. The chicken katsu with the Japanese curry is delicious. The fried rice in all variants is amazing and great for those night where you just want that big plate of rice and meat. Great appetizers all around.. We love Kim's!

Sign says open until 8pm. It’s 6:30, and the door is locked. Hostess stares at me when I knock.

They said it would be 50 minutes until delivery. It didn’t arrive for 2 hours and 20 minutes. We called after it was only 20 minutes late, and they said it would be in 30 minutes. It took another hour after that. They were busy that night, and their head chef couldn’t show up, but they should have given us better time estimates.

On a cold day, their hot and sour soup and/or dumpling soup hits good. Big serving for $7-8 bucks. Soup for next day.

Terrible customer service. Ordered food through uber eats and the order that was delivered was incorrect. Asked for a refund and they said no it wasn't the restaurants fault it was the driver and uber eats fault.

Absolutely perfect

I liked the food but reaaaally appreciated the sake flight. The lychee was my favorite, but many of the others we had were delicious too. Not a fan of the apple, just because it tasted like green apple to me.
