Authentic Thai Restaurant
Best Thai food I’ve had! We asked the waiter for recommendations for dinner, and he helped us choose Pad Thai, Pad Bangkok, spring rolls, satay chicken, and Tom Ka soup. Everything was delicious! The soup came in a Hot Pot with a small fire to keep it warm.
Our only regret was that we were too full to try the fried bananas with vanilla ice cream for dessert.
Yeah, my profile says it… I’m a sucker for Thai food, and Bangkok was where it all started for me. I started eating this cuisine at the original location in Tillman’s Corner somewhere near 30 years ago. A lot of new restaurants have opened over the years, several that I have reviewed, but this is my first love. It’s still just as good today. This Daphne location can sometimes lack in the service area a little bit, but only enough for me to back off one star for it. I love the fried wontons, Tom Ka Soup, Pad Fresh Ginger and plenty of other dishes. Beautiful restaurant inside, great owner, too. I highly recommend Bangkok Thai. Oh, and try the Thai Tea, you won’t regret it!
I checked out the highest-rated Thai restaurant nearby, and I was not disappointed. It was delicious, fresh, and authentic Thai food. It was modified a little bit to make it more acceptable to Americans. The two of them paid a total of $31. It was well worth it, and the service was excellent. Will come back again,I highly recommend their fried spring rolls, they are probably the best in this area. There is also a chef's special dish, which is roast pork with glutinous rice. It is a good choice for those who like to eat rice.I don’t like the taste of hot and sour chicken soup, because it may be made from dry ingredients, so the hot and sour chicken soup that I expect is really different from the fresh Thai style. There is no galangal, no lemongrass, and no lemon leaves. , even the mushrooms are very different, the chili is not Thai small chili, and the sourness of lemon juice is not tasted, it is artificially sweet, but the props are in place.
Started with summer rolls, authentic and fresh with a flavor that pops! Then Tom Ka shrimp soup! It's cold out here so the spice and heat was a welcomed comfort that warmed the bones! Finished with the chefs special pork stick skewers served with sticky rice for that rib sticking satisfaction! Service was efficient and friendly. I'll be back!
I have been here on multiple occasions and the food never disappoints. The atmosphere is quiet and the staff have always been friendly and very accommodating. The Pad Thai is the best I have found thus far and the Pad Crunchy chicken is very flavorful. I also love that you can select your spice level. Will continue to be a repeat customer :)
We stopped for dinner one night last week. Overall, we had a nice dinner. Service was great! Young folks kept our glasses full, offered additional wine / beer as they got empty.
The food was lovely.. I ordered Curry, and it was a bit soupy.. I'm used to it being a bit thicker. I'll try them again.. maybe it's a southern thing.? We enjoyed our evening, and will definitely be back.
As a regular customer for lunch, I highly recommend Bangkok Thai. My favorite dish is Vegetables with Shrimp, a generous serving of sauteed fresh veggies and large shrimp in a delicate sauce with a big scoop of rice. Veggies include green beans, carrots, brocoli, bok choy, and more - a colorful plate. The atmosphere is lovely, interesting Thai decor, usually with soft classical music in the background. Highly recommend.
Got my order wrong I asked for mild my friend asked for med ruined my dish with a load crushed red pepper my friend asked if I could get another waitress was rude said I already tasted it honestly this is not good thai food the red curry had no paste it was the tom kha soup dumped on veggies and chicken if you have every had real Thai u will be disappointed the staff are fake nice or only nice to the right people to please them I leave honest reviews I had a bad experience and don't recommend this place .
Good food !
Not bad but not what it used to be.
Our server was extremely busy but it didn't take away from our service. The food was spectacular and I will definitely be back. Their Tom Ka soup is to die for and so is the yellow curry. You will not go away hungry at this restaurant.
Our favorite Thai restaurant!
Great good as always!!! Just a note for the servers; if you see your guests having conversation and enjoying their dinner...... Don't rush them and try and get them out. That is the only part that was off that night.
They replaced the plastic on chairs so I’m gonna change my review.
Decent service and good food, but not stellar in the Thai arena.
For the area, this is likely the best you're going to get. I've eaten here three times and will continue to be a customer unless somebody comes into the market with a better place
I loved it! The best Food and Atmosphere. The best Thai Restaurant in the area by far.
First time here and i can tell you it is worth it. We had the spicy fish which was amazing and the pad fresh garlic. Recommend!
Came here because our favorite Thai place up the road is temporarily closed. I ordered a noodle dish that was good and my mom ordered the Thai basil fried rice. Her rice was awful! Zero flavor other than the basil leaves. I just was not impressed with the food. Everything came out very quickly and the servers were attentive and friendly though.
Food was fantastic. Staff was friend and attentive. Could taste the flavors that were supposed to be in each dish, especially with the Pork Laab and Beef Pad Kee Mao. Will be our go to!
Wonderful experience
First time and I will definitely be back! Nice staff, delicious food in a fun, decorated space. So glad I found authentic Thai food on the Eastern Shore!
So... good.
Very good!

I'm so happy I got off work early enough on Saturday to be able to eat here again. It's been a while, and it's usually closed during the time I get out of work. It was delicious as always :)
One of the best places in Baldwin County
Been here several time for lunch; fresh, tasty, and authentic thai food. Prompt service. Greeted soon after walking in with a smile on everyones face. Definitely would recommend! Give their pineapple friend rice or pad se-ew a try
Hidden gem or at least for me. Tasty Thai cuisine!
Really good curry, I had pineapple curry on a scale of 2/5 spiciness. My son had 4/5 and felt that was spicy enough. We tried the fried wontons, very good. We felt a little rushed, thought it might be closing soon but we're told no, kitchen was open another hour. Not a lot of checking back but it was good food just not what we wanted - first 2 choices were closed, another menu was too limited. Soup seemed very pricey not sure how large serving was, but listed as $10 & not part of meal.

I really couldn't ask for more. They have delicious interesting/unique food and atmosphere. Service was pretty good, and prices were reasonable.
Excellent food. Large portions. Selection was amazing.
The staff were friendly, came at the right time, and were friendly. The shrimp laab, which I specified shrimp as the meat, even though the normal choices were chicken, beef, or pork, was very salty tasting, either through fish sauce or soy sauce, had raw onions, and no other flavor. It didn't taste Thai, though it was a 2/3 spicy, which was perfect. The pad thai was just meh. I've done better at home with store-bought pad Thai kits.
The table and floor were sticky, and the table was taken care of immediately when asked.
There's a lot of potential, if the chef tasted the food, and the cleanliness was paid more attention to.
Really nice! Decor is beautiful and the soft music perfect and relaxing. Food was excellent and Linda was just excellent- professional, attentive and friendly. We enjoyed everything about Bangkok and will certainly return.
Delicious food reasonably priced and service was excellent!
Convenient location in Daphne .....easy acess!
Really good. Service was fantastic, food was great at a good price point.
We will certainly return.
The food was delicious and the service was very good/nice!
We really like the food, 😋 but didn't give a 5 because the prices keep going up. 😏
New favorite spot !
Great lunch spot
Food was good..... beef pad thai..... very good
My waitress was very attentive
I recently had an unfortunate dining experience with Bangkok Thai restaurant in Daphne, Alabama, which compelled me to share my honest feedback. Having ordered from them in the past, I was surprised and disappointed with both the presentation and quality of my meal this time around. My choice, the crab fried rice with shrimp, promised a delightful mix of crab meat, egg, peas, onions, and carrots on their website, accompanied by tomatoes and cucumbers. However, what I received fell short of these expectations.
Attached is a photo that captures the disappointing meal. The rice was sticky and gummy, far from the fluffy texture one would anticipate in a fried rice dish. It came with merely four shrimp, scant traces of egg, and what was supposedly crab meat was indistinguishable due to the overwhelming stickiness of the rice. The promised peas, tomatoes, and cucumbers were nowhere to be found, leaving only a few thin slices of carrots and some onions to accompany the dish. Considering the cost of over $21, this experience was not only disappointing but also felt like a waste of money.
Food was delicious! I had crunchy chicken. Batter was perfect, sauce was sweet and spicy. Loved it
Food was good. Chicken sataY was really good and so was soup. Crab Rangoon was excellent.
Best Thai food around! Excellent food, kind staff. Even great to go.
1st time there and it was amazing!
Authentic Thai food… Just like mom used to make!
We have been here a few times and have had great experiences all but one of those times...the pad thai is great, the egg fried rice is great, and the edamame was really good...I would definitely keep eating here...the service is almost always great too.
Got delivery from Uber Eats: green curry, pad thai, drunken noodles, and "dry" curry stir-fry.
The green curry was thin and watery. The pad thai was fine. But the drunken noodles was essentially indistinguishable from the pad thai. Perhaps it was an honest mistake and they gave us two pad thai dishes instead, but the lid and receipt said DN/drunken noodles. Total waste. Thankfully Uber Eats refunded the mistaken item.
The worst part, though: no rice came with the curries! What on earth? If you're going to be cheap and not include rice, at least say "rice not included" on the menu, otherwise how am I supposed to know that you don't include it? 30 years of eating Thai food around the globe and this is the first place I've ever seen that didn't give rice with curry. Maybe I should have taken a hint from the fact that they charge 50 cents per set of (cheap-o splintery) chopsticks?
Avoid, unless all the other Thai joints in Victoria are equally poor.
Love love love the curry here!
My boyfriend and I have stopped in a couple of times over the past few months and we love the food. He is a big fan of the beef noodle soup, and I recommend both the pineapple fried rice and the moo ping pork. The staff are great and accommodating. The inside of the restaurant has very nice Thai decor. Overall a great place to check out in the area if you love Thai and Asian cuisine!
Spice levels at 100!
Ordered through Door Dash at 4:30 for pickup. Arrived at 4:50, when food was supposed to be ready. Now 5:15 and food is not ready. No apology. No explanation. Rude as hell when I asked when it would be ready. Will never buy from here again. Absolutely abysmal service.
The food was fresh and very good. Prompt and friendly service throughout our visit. Will definitely visit this one again!
Worst food in the area. I won't be back!
Exceptional! Passing through and got delivery from here. This is the best Thai I have EVER had. We have homes in both South Florida and Texas so we are no strangers to great Thai food but this is off the charts good!
Love this restaurant. The service is always wonderful, and the food is delicious. I’m really picky about where I eat thai food from (it’s my favorite cuisine), so I often just resort to making it myself. This place puts anything on the menu at teak house, or sticks to shame.👌
I got the massaman curry, which is incredibly delicious. Good level of spice and a generous portion. The decor inside is really cool. Service was friendly and prompt. I'll definitely be back!
Delicious food, comfortable dining g room, good service.
Great food. Highly recommended. Red curry 👍
It's definitely not the same. The Pad Thai was pretty good but the wontons were terrible and the peanut sauce was grainy.
Service was stellar.
Excellent place all around. Great food, great people and great speed.
Best Thai around. Never a bad meal at any location here. Highly recommended
Update 4\1\22 Lunch today was wonderful!
Update 7/6/23 Lunch today was absolutely great. Best yet!
The service was great but the food was fantastic. We tried the tom yum soup, pad Thai, spring rolls, and volcano beef plate. All items ordered were better than we could have hoped for. We actually stumbled across this place after walking out of the other Thai restaurant everyone recommended to us (see my other reviews for details).
Good experience of Thai food.
For months this Thai restaurant always has a sign on their door about lack of servers. We went on a Saturday, and we were the only customers. Two of our orders were mixed up regarding spice levels. My cashew chicken was flavorful with plenty of veggies + jasmine rice. Weekday lunches are more reasonably priced and include soup.
Food mediocre, service was fine but then I found a roach at the bottom of my half and half tea after a refil🤮 manager laughed it off. We will not return
Best Thai food you will ever eat. My fav place in town. I highly recommend the massaman curry.
Let me know just say, my expectation of this place was it was going to be over priced and I'll probably leave still being hungry. I was completely wrong everything was way better from flavor, to spice levels and you can't go wrong with any of there appetizers. You'll for just need a to go box because the meals ordered can legit feed 3 people easily
Some of the best Pad Thai I've ever had. Plus it's very customizable. I'm on that white boy spice level of 2 so if your parents only cooked with salt and pepper that's where you should stay around. Def recommend getting extra lime and cilantro on the side.
3/4/22
Still good
5/19/22
Still amazing. Plus they were playing ATLA on the TV'S so it was 👌🏻
Man, what can I say positive about this place! This is my go to place for great Thai food! I have never had a bad meal or service here at all! If I could give this place 10 out of 5 stars I would! Stang, you are running a great restaurant!!!!!! My wife and I enjoy the food and come here A LOT!!!!
Pad thai was good.
I had the spicy squid, it was perfect! Beautiful decor and great service as well. Definitely will come back.
The food here is wonderful and our server was such a sweetheart! I would recommend this place and will continue to be a patron!!
Been going here for years, food has always come out hot and fresh and delicious, not your typical Chinese food many levels above that
We had three dishes and one appetite for a dinner and cost $68. The food quality and quantity is SAD. I would not recommend anyone to waste your money here.
The food was incredible, great staff. Highly recommend
The staff were so nice and accommodating. The best Thai in Alabama. It has good flavor and is not overly sweetened. I had Curry. The texture was perfect balance of spice and sweetness. It's extremely savory. And their soup and salads are fantastic. Pad Thai ranks up there too. Their peanut sauce is good
My sister and I stopped in for dinner. As an appetizer we ordered the fresh salad like rolls. Those were delicious...
I love yellow curry and was excited to find a place with it. It was as runny as water. Worst I've ever had.
My sister ordered chicken Chow Mein. It was absolutely flavorless. Walls next to our table were incredibly dirty. My search for phenomenal Thai food continues. Your experience may vary 🤷♀️
The food is excellent and as close to the real deal as you can get and I should know, as I've been living in Thailand for the past 13 years. The customer who gave them one star seems to be a habitual complainer and seems to enjoy giving places one star. Skip his review, he doesn't know what Thai food is.
Great food, wasn’t busy cause it was Christmas eve but they were one of the only decent food places around that was open then. Had a great time and people came in after us showing it was good enough for others to come to eat on a special day. 10/10 would go back
Always satisfied when I need some delicious Thai food in my belly. My favorite soup is Tom Yum with chicken.... It's very comforting. Pad thai is great for those starting to expose their palate to Thai cuisine. Pad kra paw pork also a favorite. So many dishes to enjoy. They also serve sushi and other Japanese entrees.
Took my family of five to dinner (lunch) with high expectations as this is supposedly highly rated, I was very let down.
SERVICE
The service sucked even though it was maybe 25% occupancy.
Had to ask for dinnerware, had to ask for water refills.
Had to send one glass back with obvious foreign debris floating in the bottom of it.
Double checked rest of glasses for cleanliness, really bad when you're compelled to do that.
Server was very young and had little charisma or charm, and offered no apologies for the water or shame for forgetting the dinnerware.
Bad waitstaff kills restaurants.
APPETIZERS
Shrimp Summer Rolls were disappointing, no herbs for added flavor, wrap, lettuce and shrimp, pretty dull if you ask me. And the peanut sauce was just as dull and lifeless.
Spring Rolls came out lukewarm like they'd sat for awhile before being served.
The Crab Rangoon was good, my daughter enjoyed those.
ENTRÉES
I ordered a $20. Softshell Crab in Curry, yes I got a decent sized crab, but scant curry and vegetables.
Overall it was very tasty, just a very small serving of curry sauce and veggies and I was left debating ordering another questionable appetizer to fill me up.
I decided to not chance it.
The other four entree dishes ranged from fairly good to delicious, and were generously portioned.
..................
I vote with my wallet, I will not be going back and I do not recommend.
Did I say I was disappointed?
Don't live nearby but stop each time we are in the area.
Long black haired woman at front was rude when we went there for lunch. Sign said open and hours said til 3:30. It was 3:05. She acted like we were idiots to think we could get in . We left and she turned the sign. Having been before we went back the next night for dinner. She was there but fortunately was not our server. FOOD THERE is always EXCELLENT. Don't let her dissuade you . She will be gone, Bankok Thai will stay.
Best Thai in all of Alabama 👍
Food was so delicious flavorful and hot, It definitely it the spot
Excellent food! My favorite restaurant.
Great food
Best pork laab in the South !
Friendly Servive
Delicious food
We had the Chicken Pad Thia &
Pineapple Shrimp Fried Rice, we both ate 2 servings & still had plenty of food to take home.
I stopped at the Bangkok Thai while passing through Dauphin, AL. Being a vegetarian, my choices were limited. I settled for the vegetarian pad thai and ordered extra tofu. The meal was good, however my plate kept on doing doughnuts on the glass surface on the table, which I easily solved by putting a couple of napkins under the plate.
It was not busy at all, and the service was good.
Almost hits the spot, but some rather odd flavors in the pad tail, very odd. The spring rolls are quite good. Will see if the curry measures up next time
Ok food nothing special. Standard Thai.
The food was fantastic and we will definitely be coming back! The decor is certainly nice and comfortable! Seem to be doing a great Carry out business and the dining room not as busy. We just found this place and want them to do well so we can keep coming back!!
Delicious taste of Bangkok! Green curry with shrimp was wonderful. I would kick it up a notch to high verses medium. The summer rolls are fresh, light and yummy.
we love this place. all the entrees we've ordered are delicious! and the thai tea is amazing :)
My wife and I like going to this restaurant. Like most restaurants they are currently needing help so your service may vary. We had a smooth service and had a very nice wait staff. I ordered the Chicken Red Curry. The curry tasted really good. As you can tell from the photo, I started eating before I took the picture. Yours will look much better.
Food was decent but the service was awful. I’ve never been so rushed by a server! She came to our table about once a minute to see if we were ready to order. I also saw her talking over another customer in a rude way. There was also a terrible beeping noise, not sure what that’s about. The chow mein and the massaman curry were both pretty good. I didn’t care for the crab rangoons at all—there was hardly any filling. I enjoyed the Thai tea. I wouldn’t go back.
I had a wonderful dining experience at Bangkok Thai cuisine. Of all the restaurants where I have had the pleasure of eating crab rangoon this particular restaurant by far has the most Superior best-tasting crab Rangoon I have ever had in my life. Whereas most other restaurants tend to have really hard sometimes unpalatable dough that they wrap around the rangoon and then deep fry it, Bangkok Thai cuisine uses a very unique dough that has this very nice soft crunchy texture and superb taste. Not only did I have an appetizer of them but I had to get one to go to take home with me they were that good. I also had the Tom yong chicken soup and seafood soup I also ordered a squid pad thai. The meal was stupendous and the service was exceptional. I recommend going here if you're over in the Baldwin county area and happen to have a hankering for thai cuisine .
Great food in an authentic setting. Def will be back.
Food was great! Nice, quiet atmosphere... Not upscale. Service wasn't bad, but the several seemed more awkward. It was weird. I will go back, the food was great.
Was very good and service was great.
The sushi chef apparently isn't there anymore (or wasn't there the day we visited), but the food is very good.
I love their soup everything is great
Excellent service. Pad Thai and Tom kha were wonderful
Great food! Food was hot and fresh. Service was fast and friendly!
Everything here is so good! Can't go wrong with anything.
Best in area.
Great service but the pad Thai noodles taste too sweet and they add too much soy sauce.
Best Tom Ka soup I’ve ever had!
One of my favorite places to eat!!!
Best Thai food on the Eastern Shore.
We came in just before closing time, and they welcomed us in anyway! I had Pad Prik King with chicken, hubby had Pad Cashew! Both were very fresh tasting and so delicious. The sauce was perfect, and the heat factor was spot on...just as we ordered it. The wait staff was friendly, professional and attentive. And our meal started off with a cup of tasty Tom Yum soup. Wow! We can hardly wait to go back. And next time we'll arrive earlier. We traveled from 26 miles away. It was worth every mile traveled.
Mediocre food. Massaman curry was good but not spicy at all, and Spicy with mint chicken was bland as well, green beans were also undercooked.
Service was nonexistent. Waitress brought wife's curry, then 5 minutes later the satay appetizer and 7 or 8 minutes later my entree. Each time she did not speak to either of us, just dropped off the dish and took off. Asked her for a dessert as she flew by and they were out of that. Overall it was a poor experience for such a nice place.
Was it packed you ask? No, two waitresses and by the time we were served we were the only ones in the restaurant on a Sunday night an hour and a half before closing time.
When the front light wasn't on I should have taken that as a clue to not eat here. From the waitress/ owner being rude to the terrible food. To me it seems they lost all track of passion for the business and the food. The shrimp appetizers was old shrimp. The seafood plate I ordered I didn't hardly eat because the frozen seafood was chewy and old tasting. My wife had a rice dish that tasted leftover from last week. The Tai Tea was terrible and the place looks run down. I do not recommend this place. I am sick this morning from it. Avoid it for your own health. The pictures are of what we did not eat and refused a doggy bag.
I also was very sick within a few hours as the shrimp must have been bad.
Hello I usually don't write reviews often. We had lunch here today and the food was GREAT. I had the pad crunchy and loved it. Service also exceptional definitely recommend. Lunch special was a fair price.
food great food
The ambiance is great.
Every time I go over there it is a good experience.
The most authentic Tom Yum Soup, I have had outside of Asia or the Pacific Islands.
The Pineapple Fried Rice leaves a lot to be desired, and the Pad Thai is decent.
The Thai Tea, Spring Rolls, Tom Yum soup are Superb!
Good service and great menu.
Good food. No atmosphere.
I found this place by accident but, Im so glad that I decided to stop in for a bite. I love Thai food so it was very nice to see dishes here that I havnt seen in many other restaurants of the same cuisine. The waitresses were incredibly welcoming and I immediately felt like I was eating from home. I certainly will be back in the future and recommend this to any fan of SE Asian cuisine.
Very good, no wonder its in the top 50 Thai places in the country
We had never been here. We will be back. The atmosphere was nice, the food was reasonably priced with big portions, and the service was excellent.
Pad Thai was a bit on the sweet side but definitely satisfied. Even the "very hot" Pad Thai wasn't that spicy... especially compared to "Thai Hot" at other restaurants. Overall good service and fair portion size for the money. Probably closer to 4 stars than 5 but im rounding up on this one.
Good food, weird service.
Excellent food and nice ambiance.
Consistently great food.
Love me some Thai food and this is good. Thai tea in to go cup is a must.
Good food
Best Thai food in Baldwin County!! Service is outstanding!! Will be our go to restaurant for Thai food!! Chicken Satay is spot on!! Tastes just like my mom's cooking(who is Thai, BTW)
Good food ,,banging atmosphere
