Mom's Kitchen Waukesha is a locally owned and operated Thai restaurant located in the heart of Pewaukee, WI, offering a wide variety of delicious dishes to suit every taste. Our menu features classic Thai food, all made with the freshest ingredients like Thai holy basil and prepared with care by our talented team of chefs. At Mom's Kitchen Waukesha, we believe that dining out should be an experience, which is why we have created a warm and inviting atmosphere for you to enjoy. Our friendly staff is here to make sure you have a memorable meal, whether you're joining us for a quick bite or having a meal with your family or friends.
Best Thai food that I've had in the greater Milwaukee area. The menu is huge with a ton of lesser known options from throughout north and south Thailand as well as various sushi rolls. I loved every dish we tried, especially the Kor Moo Yang (grilled pork cheek appetizer) and the Mom's Holy Basil with pork belly. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The meal was a bit pricier than most Thai restaurants in the area but I think the quality of the ingredients was worth it. I look forward to coming back often!
We live minutes away from Mom’s Kitchen and have ordered take out multiple times. It has always been disappointing unfortunately. No flavor in any of the dishes which is so sad because Thai food should be flavorful!!
We ordered Drunken noodles which tasted completely flavorless (it says spicy basil sauce). There was no spicy element, and was completely bland. The pineapple fried which tasted so flavorless too… we added salt just to finish the meal. Tiny portions and so expensive for what you get. I don’t think we will ever order here again because it continually lets us down.
If you’re looking for an unforgettable dining experience, this Thai restaurant is an absolute gem! The food is authentic, flavorful, and consistently delicious, but what truly sets this place apart is the spectacular service—especially from Amy.
Every time we came to eat, Amy greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel like valued guests. She is incredibly attentive, always ensuring our orders were perfect and catering to our every need with grace and efficiency. Her recommendations were spot on, and she went above and beyond to make our dining experience exceptional.
If you visit, make sure to ask for Amy. She turns an already great meal into an extraordinary experience. Highly recommended!
I've come here twice, the first time to try their tuna tataki and hamachi jalapeno. In my perspective, the fish slices are excessively large. So, the fishy taste is really noticeable from the first bite. Perhaps they can slice it thinner, which will result in more fish on the plate. And the second time I tried it, their Thai food was great; but, the service was a little lacking. She simply forgot what we asked; I understand we only asked about straw, but I was thirsty at the time, and there were lip stains on the cup, so we asked about straw. So tiny things can sometimes make a big difference.
We got to enjoy a wonderful birthday dinner with our oldest son and daughter tonight at Mom's Kitchen. The atmosphere was clean and modern, the food was great, and the service was spectacular. We had a hard time deciding what to order, so between the four of us, as always, we ordered more food than necessary. Thus, we all left comfortably stuffed!
First, we tried a few appetizers. If I can get Tom Kha Kai soup, I will. So, I did. It's one of my favorites! We had the Sushi Tacos, which were so fresh and unique—soft flour taco shells filled with diced tuna, salmon, fried shrimp, avocado, and spicy mayo. The Chive Dumplings were crispy yet soft and full of flavor.
As for mains, the tried-and-true Yellow Curry had just the right spice and was so yummy, with potatoes that were perfectly textured. Mom's Holy Basil dish, a Vietnamese staple, was good old comfort food. The Pad Se Ew with beef was oh so good, with those tender noodles soaking up all the flavors. And lastly, the Lava Shrimp came on a sizzling platter—the shrimp were butterflied and cooked perfectly in a sweet tamarind sauce.
As if we weren't full enough, we all had a few bites of Matcha Cheesecake, complete with a Happy Birthday message and, of course, a candle. Amiee, our server, made sure we understood all that the menu offered and made great recommendations. Her knowledge of the food and service made our birthday dinner a really great experience.
Thank you to Mom's Kitchen! We look forward to trying more of their dishes when we go back!
Everything was Outstanding! Service, suggestions, food portions, the freshness and quality of the food....you name it! Excited to have found our new 'go-to' place in the area!
Love it!!!!
I've been going here maybe once a week. The entire staff is warm and friendly. They have a good knowledge of the menu and are well versed in the dishes on the menu.
I want to eat through the entire menu! Thom Kha was Devine, I want to try a duck dish soon though. Will be back.
Delicious thai food! We stopped in on a Saturday night and this place was busy!! The server was attentive and the ambience was nice, I’d return!
We had a big pickup order and it was hot and ready on time for us and all of the food was delicious. It was our first time after friends recommended it to us. We will be back!
Male waiter was notvfreindly and was angry. The food was average and lacked any flavor and everything seems a bit too Americanized and bland. Small portions and over priced.
Great atmosphere and very clean. No happy hour and drafty cold air when the door opens. .
Ok. Nothing spectacular.
Myself and my sister decided last minute to try Moms Kitchen as we’d seen them advertised around waukesha and online however never got around to trying them. Let me tell you, they did NOT disappoint in the slightest. All service staff were prompt, informative and extremely respectful, so much so that we had decided it was going to be our new go-to before we were even seated. The restaurant is beautiful and clean, creating a relaxed and comforting environment to indulge. We started with two spicy miso soups and crab rangoon's. Both appetizers were beyond delicious. We even had to put in another order for the soup it was so good. Then came the sushi. Now, i’m picky when it comes to my sushi and will ONLY order from one restaurant as i find peace in knowing what to expect, so i was taking a big risk by trying somewhere new. When the sushi arrived, my sister and I looked at eachother with excitement and disbelief because the presentation was STUNNING. The favors meshed so well, and quality of each ingredient was nothing short of fresh and top of the line. I almost put in another order for the same sushi but knew i needed to save room for the main course. I ordered the spicy Beef boat noodles while my sister went with the Tom Yum noodles. We were greeted with two big bowls of steaming hot, fresh noodles, LOADED with vegetables and the proteins included with each dish. The portion sizes exceeded expectations and can only be described as “plentiful, plus some”. As we took our first bites we quickly became mute as the dishes required our FULL attention. The favors were favorably spectacular and the texture was perfect. I had never experienced such a beautiful adventure such as the one I had today and will DEFINITELY be returning. I am beyond grateful. Definitely a must visit type of restaurant❤️
A similar quality Thai restaurant in MKE would be Rice n Roll bistro. The food at Mom's is homemade and delicious, the service fast and observant, prices reasonable for the quality, and the atmosphere very nice a recently updated. Khao Soy was delicious, they have no-rice rolls with cucumber wrapping for keto or diabetic options. The cucumber salad was large, and a great side for the no-rice roll, giving a bit of dressing for the side salad level of greens that came with the roll. Would be willing to drive out to Waukesha next time I want good Thai for Mom's.
Their prices are insane for the quality and quantity of what you get. I understand prices of food have been higher as of late, but this is just crazy.
Server was very attentive and sweet. We loved the curry, Tom kha & crab rangooons. 🫶🏼
Shout out to Nathan for the great service
Update!! NATHAN YOURE SO AWESOME FOR RUNNING OUR LEFT OVERS OUT IN THE SNOW.
Dedicated employee best give him a raise!

Always great. Rice dishes are smaller portions than most Thai places but good flavor
Exceptionally tasty and so beautifully presented food
Amazing food and service, can't complain about atmosphere.
We live minutes away from Mom’s Kitchen and have ordered take out multiple times. It has always been disappointing unfortunately. No flavor in any of the dishes which is so sad because Thai food should be flavorful!!

Amazing, friendly family restaurant for sushi, Japanese & Thai! Fresh, authentic & delicious. Must try & check the last page of the menu for the "Mom's Recommended" list!
Every time I've been in, I've always enjoyed great service and great food. It's definitely worth checking out!
Screwed up the order then blamed door dash. Shameful.
Very delicious, also they have some unique dishes that have been worth the try. 😀
There's really not much I want to say. It's good for what it is. I haven't had all the dishes but what I have had, was solidly good. I wish they had a more authentic Thai menu.
Delicious Drunken Noodle and Lychee Martini!
Food and service was great! We enjoyed Pad Thai, Garlic fried rice and Massaman Curry Chicken. All were cooked to perfection. My only negative is, what is the 3% fee added to the bill for? Yes, I probably should have asked, but how many actually do? It should be disclosed before you buy the food.
Very good Thai food, the restaurant is very nice and service was excellent! I had the lava chicken, it was very good, but I asked for it as hot as they could make it, but not as hot as I hoped but still very good. Green tea was very good and so was the soup. Will definitely go back again an recommend to others.
Very high prices for sub-par food. Portions very small relative to other Thai restaurants (Thainamite / Me Kong Cafe). Will not order in the future.
Far more than we expected from a restaurant in a basic strip mall. This is a great place to go for a delicious meal served by a friendly host at an affordable price
Excellent curry
Very pricey...portion small... taste 5 out of 10
I have been to this place before and we like their food.
This time I wanted to try something safe so I went with an order of drunken noodles, safest Thai food option and it was the worse Drunken noodle I had, it was a 3.5 out of 10.
I asked the server if I can order something else as I did not like it, he asked where have you tried drunken noodles before then he said what if you order something else and you don’t like it we will charge you for it, it made me sad and I said you know what I don’t want to eat something else, I waited for my kid and my husband to finish eating and I order Thai food from another restaurant to go.
This was the worst customers service experience I have had. I’m never going here again. The guy was rude and unapologetic. I would not recommend this place to anyone. if you respect yourself, don’t go here.
I’m generally a person who writes only good reviews of places but this place made me sad not because of their food but because of their behavior towards their customer.
Food was soooo good. Great service! Had spicy miso soup, mom's holy basil, Thai iced tea and mango sticky rice. I already want to go back!
So great to finally have a good Thai restaurant in Pewaukee! Dishes are very flavorful and ingredients are fresh. Careful on spice, medium spice is pretty spicy! Excited to try sushi next time we order from here!
The flavors were top-notch! And the lady who took my order was very nice. However they only give you barely 4 tablespoons of white rice with an order curry and their Pad Thai looked microwaved, really dry and stuck all together.
I've come here twice, the first time to try their tuna tataki and hamachi jalapeno. In my perspective, the fish slices are excessively large. So, the fishy taste is really noticeable from the first bite. Perhaps they can slice it thinner, which will result in more fish on the plate. Clean dining room. Good service by friendly staff. Lots of smiles. I ordered off their lunch menu. Got the Fried Gyoza and spicy tuna, spicy salmon sushi. The fried gyoza (dumplings) were a crunchy delight. The accompanying ponzu was on point. The sushi was nicely rolled and didn’t fall apart when being picked up, dipped by chopsticks. Unfortunately I think they forgot my “spicy”. But there was plenty of wasabi and ginger to satisfy that craving. I also ordered the Singapore noodles and Crispy Duck Wontons for takeout. Did not disappoint.
I will be back
This place is great!! Best food in southeastern Wisco hands down!! I have tried almost everything on the menu. You can’t go wrong with any of Moms recommended. Khao Soi is to die for along with the Shrimp Shu Mia dumpling. Absolutely breathtaking. If you haven’t been here yet you are missing out!!
We went with our kids, food was awesome, lots of great options, and the service was great. The place is comfortable and well put together. We will definitely be back!
Excellent food!
The best Thai in southeastern Wisconsin. This place rocks and the food is on point.
We stop here every time we're in town and are always pleased with our dining experience!
Hit the spot and all enjoyed.
Great Thai place in Waukesha, great ingredients and options, but can get expensive.
Great food and great service. They never disappoint. Try the moo ping, goyza and the tom yum noodle.
I ordered the Crispy pork belly and Volcano chicken. Total came to $33 after tax. The amount of pork belly you get is laughable. The flavor is non existent. The sauce has a very weak flavor profile. The volcano chicken wasn’t good either. It was very dry. The sauce was decent but not spicy. And the amount again, just doesn’t justify the price of $17.99. The chicken tasted super plain on its own, with the breading on the chicken having no sort of seasoning or flavor on its own.
I’m a huge fan of Thai and Asian cuisine and this was one of my worst experiences I’ve had based on flavor, portion size, and price. It could have been a one off, but I have no want to spend that money for a lunch, and be disappointed again.
I had pad thai. It wasn't even close as far as the correct flavor. I was pretty disappointed. I would not get it again.
Unbelievable Thai food! The chairs were ultra comfortable and our server Nathan was fantastic!! Check this spot out! One of the best spots in the Milwaukee area!!
Delicious
Finally got a chance to stop in for dinner. Almost a full house when we got there. The table was a bit small.
We started with pork belly appetizers. It came with sticky rice and a sweet Chilli sauce. The pork was like chicharron. I didn't like that too much. Rating 6
On to the main dish- Thai tea, Pad thai, tum yum soup, lava shrimp
-Pad Thai- portion wasn't that big. Nothing special. It was okay Rating 5
Tum Yum soup- was a bit too bitter with some sweet-Rating 5
Lava Shrimp- didn't like the dish much. It was just shrimp dressed in their lava sauce with veggies on the bottom. It would be better if the shrimp was breaded. Rating 3
This restaurant is one you must visit if you live in the Waukesha/Milwaukee area. Food is fantastic, staff gives excellent service and is second to none and the menu is extensive with plenty of options. There are lots of unique sushi rolls and Mom's basil is a must try. Believe me when I say you won't be disappointed you visited.
First time here. Came with a friend. It was a Monday night, we got here around 6:00. There were several other tables, and we got seated right away. Everyone seemed very welcoming.
Our server did a great job with getting us settled in with menu, waters and eventually a couple of cocktails. Throughout the entire evening (and we stayed until they closed at 8pm) our server did a excellent job with the service, helpful suggestions, and just being authentic and fun! Thanks Nathan.
For cocktails we got the BlueBerry Mojito, and the Smoky Old Mama. The Smoky Old Mama is like a Brandy Old Fashioned but with a little sake, and they actually infuse the drink with real smoked wood chips. They muddled up a bunch of maraschino cherries which is a nice touch. I would definitely come back just for this drink.
We started with a couple of Chive Dumplings. They were different than anything I have had. They are more soft, there is a bottom layer of chives, and the garlic chili sauce really completed the taste profile. Very good!
We ordered the Pad See Ew (Nathan recommended chicken) and the Mussaman Chicken Curry. The chicken was super tender on both. Both entrees had great flavor and were the right temperature. There were no leftovers.
An excellent first time here. Will put this on our "come back" list.
We got to enjoy a wonderful birthday dinner with our oldest son and daughter tonight at Mom's Kitchen. The atmosphere was clean and modern, the food was great, and the service was spectacular. Thank you to Mom's Kitchen! We look forward to trying more of their dishes when we go back!
Good service, thanks to Unchisa, and good food. Can't wait to go back for another great meal.
My partner and I tried Mom's Kitchen today and were blown away! We both had something different from our usual when it comes to Thai food, and both items were really good. My partner had the Pad Se Ew, and I had the Pad Woon Sen. Both meals were very good. We finished off our evening by trying the Sticky Mango Rice, which was a very good dessert! Our server Aimee was very nice and helpful with questions regarding the food we were ordering. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for good Thai food in the Waukesha area!
Flavor experience and friendly staff.
We've been here several times now and we actually really love it. Very much home cooking. She makes a lot of it from scratch if not all of it. The staff is very friendly almost like they know you. It does get really busy at times. We have tried several different kinds of dishes and they're all really good and like I said homemade. This is a little gem that we found right by us and have become quite addicted to it. If you're worried about it being Thai food, it's really just homemade food and you can find lots of items on there to choose from.. soups, crab Rangoon, rolls, lava chicken was excellent. I love the gorilla and pink gorilla rolls. Really fresh foods.
Love it!
Excellent place and tremendous value. At first this restaurant didn’t pop up on my search when checking for dinner in walking distance to hotel. Upon walking by and seeing a sign for Thai food since the name of the restaurant doesn’t immediately remind me of Thai food. I saw two things that made me try it, a bunch of good reviews, and a Massaman Curry that showed stewed with dark meat chicken all day.
Overall this placed was perfect and can’t wait to try again.
Great presentation and fresh ingredients
Moo ping 10/10
Thai tea 10/10
Thai basil fried rice 10/10
Moo larb 7/10
Kao soi 6/10
Shaken beef 7/10
Gyoza 7/10
Fantastic! We will come back for sure! Had the Moo Krob pork belly appetizer, crab spider roll, spicy chicken Holy Basil, and Yakiudan with chicken. All very good.
The best Thai restaurant in Waukesha
The owner “Dear” is a very nice and generous person. We love them and their food!
Great hospitality
Great atmosphere
Great food !!
Great as always
My experience here was so good. I'll be coming back with the whole family and friends too! Be sure to ask your waiter what they recommend based on your interests. They have so many good dishes!
Really delish egg rolls and yellow curry. I’m so glad there is a Thai place in Pewaukee again. I will be back!
Great food, great service, and great cockatils!! The inside of of the restaurant is also cute and comfy!
It is very impressive how the new ownership has totally renovated this place for this new restaurant. The ambiance is open and light making great use of the large front windows. The staff is cheerful and on their toes. The menu has sushi and "Thai" options. I wish I'd had the sushi; I settled on a tuna poke bowl which was really only average. Full disclosure: I follow a pescatarian lifestyle so I no longer eat meat and could/would not try the Thai menu items on offer. This was a mother's day dinner with my son's family. DIL is picky so not satisfied except for the crab rangoons which everyone enjoyed. I liked the Thai spicy shrimp soup but it was nothing spectacular. My son was adventurous and tried a combo dinner with pork belly and some other meat. Again, it was ok.
Perhaps they are still getting their feet wet and will shine later down the road.
Friendly comforting atmosphere where you can sit back and relax and take your time on a meal which is worth enjoying slowly. The food is very filling and everything you'd want. This is one of the best restaurants in Waukesha you'll not regret trying and it is a signature in my list of places to take friends or family.
I've learned to enjoy Thai food after eating here. It's a favorite restaurant I'm Waukesha. Food is absolutely delicious. Never had anything I didn't enjoy. Spring rolls & Fried Duck wonton are so food. Lava chicken excellent. My wife enjoyed the Honey ginger tea. Our server, Aimee, was terrific. She was pleasant to talk with, smiling personality, knew about each item on the extensive menu with recommendations when asked about several choices we were considering. She was awesome. Ask to have her!
Only negative is the tables for 2 are a bit close to each other for quite conversation plus it's loud in the room. Sound proofing on the ceiling should be considered. Green Matcha Tea cheesecake wasn't ok. Wouldn't order it again. Not like Key Lime. Plenty to eat with almost entrees.
Delicious food and very nice staff :)
So glad I found this place! It has been my go to place for yellow curry shrimp! So many other wonderful menu choices. You should really check it out!
Food was delicious!
On the list of the best sushi I've ever had! Friendly service, calm atmosphere, diverse menu, and food comes out in good time.
Overall experience was underwhelming.
Ordered fried calamari, spider roll, Khao moo (i believe that's the name. Soup like base, noodles, protein, crispy chow mein noodles in top) Singapore Noodles, and the Crying Tiger dish.
The fried calamari was your typical fried calamari rings with dipping sauce. Spider roll had a nice taste, however, very small compared to other Japanese restaurants take on a spider roll. As though the soft shell crab wasn't even in there? The soup was flavorful, would have liked a little more broth to enjoy with the noodles. Chow mein noodles were the only enjoyable texture I liked within this dish. Singapore Noodles were lacking. It felt like a half order as the portion size was not there for pricing. It was wet when the description and other places have a stir fry/dry take on this dish. The Crying Tiger was NOT good. The Rib eye is a more fatty cut, however it seems as though it was cooked from frozen and doing so made the meat very tough and almost inedible. The sticky rice that accompanied it was not fresh in a sandwich bag and was probably microwaved as it was dense and very hard to work through. We most likely will not be back. Our host/ server was kind and did a nice job.
Have had takeout here, but today was first in house experience. We had a little bit of everything (papaya salad, sushi, sashimi, and entrees). Our waiter made a wonderful menu suggestion of peanut curry with slow cooked chicken. It did not disappoint. The presentation, flavors, service, and atmosphere get an A+. We'll return!
We have eaten here a few times. Some of the food has been hit and miss. We were here tonight and restaurant itself was not overwhelmingly busy but their takeout was incredibly busy. It took our food about an hour and a half because they said someone called in. There was a gentleman waiting for his takeout. He said he ordered at five and I don’t think he got it until 730. We had to wait for the greeter to take two takeout orders on the phone before she would seat us It almost seems that if they are too busy, they should stop taking call in order/takeout orders. The servers/staff are fantastic. Despite them being incredibly busy, they were all very pleasant and polite And attentive. We had the shrimp shumai, which is always delicious. The Goyza Was also wonderful as usual. Their ginger chicken fried rice was also delicious. We had the shrimp tempura roll which was ok. The Tom Kai soup was incredibly sweet and the chicken was chewy. Needed something to balance all the sweetness, would not order again. Despite some of the negative of this evening, we overall have enjoyed eating here and will come back. I would like to give the on five out of five overall, but I think they need to work on some of their execution of timing And also need to realistically look at the fact that if they are taking an incredibly long time to serve food and do take out orders, they probably should allow themselves time to get caught up before taking More take out food orders. The atmosphere itself is so so. They have very cramped Tables that they have running down the middle of the restaurant. I would hate to have to sit in one of them as there is minimal room between other tables in the bar and for servers and people to walk-through. It is really messy behind the bar as well.
Poor customer service.
THIS PLACE AMAZING FOOD, all of it. Hands down the best Tom Kha Kai Bowl I have had in the United States. And I have traveled everywhere for Thai food. Trust me on this one. Also the green curry amazing. The food was delivered hot and quick. Will never go to another Thai restaurant in this area again.
I went here on a first date. I've had little experience with Thai food, and the server recommended the chicken Pad Thai. I loved it. Friendly, fast service and reasonable prices.
Ultimately, the relationship didn't work out, but I will be back for the food. LOL.
The curry was incredible!
Loved the curry lunch special
I have only had the something twice, the food is fantastic. The service is great and the people are so nice. The owner is so special.
I had the green curry with tofu and having been in Bangkok a few weeks ago I found it very authentic. It was spicy as it should be.
Family wanted Culver's and I didn't. So glad this was here so I could get sushi instead.
Kitchen closes much earlier than posted restaurant hours. Tried to eat here and was turned away, wouldn't even let us place a takeout order
Awesome food and service. We will be back
We just discovered this great Thai restaurant, I had their duck curry that was awesome and my wife got the Pad Thai that was also cooked to perfection
We will definitely come back again and again
Popular, dining room was filled. Seated immediately and food was hot, fresh, and delicious. My 2nd visit was as good as my first. My dish could have used some fresh Thai basil leaves but were missing.
Will drive 30 min for BEST pad Thai. Their sauce for everything IS NOT water down like other places. The curry dish is excellent; the coconut consistency isn't too thick or thin. We were greeted right away. Amy, our waitress, was friendly and very prompt on her service . Will recommend. Kid friendly however no changing table for babies. Plenty of parking and the space isn't crowded. Will definitely come back again.
Had a party of eight. Service was efficient but not rushed. Started with eggrolls, spring rolls, Crab. Rangoon, dumplings. Appetizer portions were small but still perfect for sharing/trying multiple options with a large group. Everyone was more than pleased with entrees. Atmosphere is not ideal but also very comfortable for the space. We enjoyed the overall experience, and we will be back.
The food was delicious and the food we could not eat, we took home and it reheated well. The sushi, noodles, curry, and fried rice were amazing. 10/10
Delicious Thai food and very friendly attentive staff. Went over lunch hour with a friend and we greatly enjoyed our time there. Busy in there, which is a great sign! Happy to support local small businesses. Very impressed, we will be back :)
Best Thai place! I could eat here every day!
Delicious food and great atmosphere. Loved the panag curry, coconut soup, and drunken noodles. We will be back.
Excellent service, specially when the place was packed on Saturday night!; that is hard to get.
You can sense the Staff is happy working there.
The food was delicious, the duck is top notch.the drink menu is pretty well stocked and includes Japanese whisky. My personal recommendation is the lycchee martini.
My appreciation to them, for accommodating my order based on my allergies to the onions.
Extremely recommended.
Food was awesome!
Service was fantastic. Will be back soon.
Great food! We'll be back!
Unbelievable! Best papaya salad I’ve ever had! Everything we ordered for delivery was beyond delicious. We’ll be ordering again!!
It was very cold inside. I asked for zero spice on my entree and it ended up very spicy. Took a while to get a server initially.
It's a loud room.
Mom's Kitchen has some amazing duck specials this month. I went there for lunch and had a delicious crispy duck soup. Great food and pleasant atmosphere.
Love the food, gave 4 star because they keep wait for more that 20 minutes to find a table, even though there was a free table and was informed it is reserved, that table was empty till we all finished eating. Food was not filling and proper diet, Not enough vegetables and protiens. charged $2 extra for tofu vegetarian noodles.
This place may be the new darling of Waukesha with great food, but they really need to learn how to manage their delivery app orders. They have one host/hostess who needs to answer the phone, greet guests, etc who is also responsible for entering delivery app orders into their internal order handling system. What happens is that during a dinner rush, this person gets overwhelmed and accepts the orders with the delivery service but can’t promptly get those orders entered into their internal system. This causes huge backups and lots of delivery workers all showing up at once and waiting for long periods in the small lobby for the orders which aren’t even started in the kitchen yet. It’s a terrible experience for everyone involved.
I post this review not to harm the restaurant, but more for them to get the message that something needs to improve - not only for their actual team, but for their delivery partners as well. If you can’t handle the orders during busy periods, please close your restaurant on the apps! Thanks!
Our first time trying Mom's Kitchen. The teriyaki chicken and crying tiger rib eye were plated beautifully and were delicious. They were big enough for 2 servings.
Curry is amazing!
Best curry I have ever had!
Great food. The food was fresh and tasty. It was a little pricey for the quantity but we will back. The Holy Basil dish was outstanding
Thai food doesn’t get better than this. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Very clean.
Excellent. 3 times in 2 weeks to try a couple different options.
Excellent Thai food experience! We were greeted and seated immediately. The server was friendly, patient, and quick. The food was delivered very fast, and came out fresh and hot. The spice and flavors were excellent. The rice was cooked to perfection (can be hard to find sometimes). This is my go-to Thai restaurant when I visit Waukesha!
Love Mom's Kitchen! This is now my go to restaurant in the Waukesha area. I mainly order online vs. dine in and it is always ready by the time I get there and the food is always hot. The staff is incredibly friendly and prompt. I highly recommend visiting! There's something for everyone.
Excellent Pad Thai, smiling service and nice ambience. Happy to have a good Thai restaurant in Waukesha county.
My wife and I were looking for Thai food near Lake Country. A friend recommended a Thai restaurant on Silvernail Rd. He said the name is confusing but the food is great. Not knowing the name we trolled the store fronts and spotted Asian decor in a busy dining room at Mom’s Kitchen. It was the place and his recommendation was correct. Great food and service. Tell your friends. I want this place to succeed.
My second night in a row of ordering takeout after work and I couldn’t be more impressed with not only the food, but the amazing staff!! A great experience from the start!! Everyone that works there that I have come across, so far, are absolutely the reason why I’ll be back! Oh and the food…. Absolutely delicious!!!!!
My first time and definitely not last! Very good!
The Lava chicken sauce is very good. The chicken on the other hand needs to improve. Many of the pieces didn’t even seem like there was any chicken in it at all…just breading.
We visited one night with a group of friends after hearing great things! We were excited to try it out and it exceeded our expectations! The menu is very expansive with so many options for every type of taste, we all ordered some drinks and tried a variety of dishes, including Singapore noodle (Stir fried egg noodles with chicken, curry powder, fried onion, and mixed vegetables), Pad Se Ew (Stir fried wide rice noodles, Chinese broccoli, and egg in sweet brown sauce), and other delicious curry dishes and gyoza. Everything g was great and the staff was wonderful when we wanted to just hang out a little bit longer after dinner.
I can’t wait to go back and try more!
Very good food
Love this place, I come just about every Wednesday, will post pics soon.
A nice Thai restaurant close to the highway where the folks are friendly and the service is amazing. Food was great and served hot and fresh. I'd hope that in the future, I get to see more vegetarian options.
Will visit again.
Great lunch specials! Very friendly staff.Qyick and efficient.
