We serve delicious made to order Thai & Lao Food.
Pros:
- The food is SO good. Their Curry Fried Rice is probably the best fried rice I've ever had. Also highly recommend their Masamman Curry and Papaya Salad.
- Amazing portions.
Cons:
- Not the best atmosphere - the seating isn't the best and is frankly kind of uncomfortable.
- Service is alright - nothing special.
Bottom line: not much of an experience but the food really makes up for it.
My sister likes this place and had my niece's sweet 16 party here. The owner Otis is down to earth and very welcoming. We had a private room for my niece and when it came to dinner I went with 2 egg rolls and pepper steak and rice. When I was asked how would I like my spice for my entrée, I said I didn't l know it was an option to I went with medium and packed the heat! The meal was super tasty and would HIGHLY recommend.
Went solo and had the Drunken Noodles - Chicken (med spicy) and Sesame Chicken (very spicy). The bill amt excluding tips was $29.
Went during Halloweekend and the wait time was about 25mins.
Loved the flavor of both the dishes and the quantity was good. I was only able to finish the noodles though😅
I used to order papaya salad from this spot on DoorDash, it was flavorful. So, I thought, why not try dining in with my friend? Big mistake.
First off, the place smelled weird as soon as we walked in. Not exactly the vibe you want when you are about to eat. The guy taking our order didn't even ask how spicy I wanted my papaya salad, they just gave me some random level that was way too mild. Like, come on, that's Thai food 101.
And don't even get me started on the tom yum soup. It was so watery, I think they just threw a spoonful of paste into a bowl of hot water and called it a day. Zero flavor, zero effort.
Honestly, I am not sure what happened here. The takeout used to be good, but dining in was a total letdown. I might give their takeout another shot, but I am definitely not coming back to eat in this smelly, flavorless place.
I be ordered the pad thai via doordash. I ordered before they opened. I figured being one of the first orders I would get something fresh and great. I requested wet/saucy
It was extremely dry with no flavor. I was so upset lol. It felt like getting leftovers. This experience makes me not want to try them again
The veggie eggrolls were ok
A couple weeks ago we ordered from Sticky Rice simply because it was on the way home. What we discovered was that they have done a huge upgrade to their food, and it was delicious and flavorful. We had Lad Nah and Massaman Curry. Both were really good. To make sure it wasn't a fluke, we ordered the same meals again this week and they were again EXCELLENT. Full of rich and delicious flavor and spiced to the levels we ordered. I haven't eaten in, just gotten take out, but the interior looks like a nice place to sit and have delicious food. The staff have always been friendly. This isn't the Sticky Rice of Locust street, and if you haven't visited the Brady Street location, I highly recommend you do. We will be returning again and again and again.
I ABSOLUTELY FELL IN LOVE😩. This was my first time being here and I fell in love 5 minutes being in the restaurant. Not to mention, THE FOOD…I’m speechless. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I’m not disappointed and the vibe is perfect for a Friday night with your favorite friends. I’m gonna be a regular, I already know❤️❤️❤️❤️ I’m in love
Delicious!

Great food, fun atmosphere, love the massaman cury
I love this place so much the food is so good and the service is amazing

Drunken noodles are insanely good best I’ve ever had in my life
The Drunken Wings were sooo good. Sweet and spicy with some fresh basil on top; highly recommend. Unfortunately the rice with my entree was dry, and I ordered mild but it was still super spicy. I'll give them another shot, though.
I had the Beef Laab and my bf had the Red Curry. They were both flavorful, delicious, and spicy as expected. We were greeted right away when we walked in, by the gentleman behind the bar. He appeared to be the only one working the FOH while we were there, although his service speed was on point the whole time. He even noticed when we stood up to put our jackets on and thanked us for coming.
I've been a loyal fan since the Sticky Rice crew was making magic on Locust. Pat (BOH), Daniel (FOH), and the rest of the team never fail to deliver an extraordinary dining experience. The food is nothing short of exemplary, a true testament to culinary excellence. And the customer service? Absolutely stellar. Every visit feels like a warm embrace, thanks to their unmatched hospitality. If you're still reading this and haven't started walking towards Sticky Rice to place your order, you're seriously missing out on Milwaukee's finest.

I ordered the Pad Thai, but was very disappointed by what I got. I'm not sure that I was actually given Pad Thai, as it was red and spicy for some reason. If you want to try sell a non-traditional menu item, please give it a different name, as calling it Pad Thai is misleading.
Just a tiny cup of sauce for volcano chicken, ordered xtra sauce-none given, food bland and cold. Spent 83.00 for 4 people will not be back or recommend to anyone!! Rip off!!

The Laab beef and Pad Prik Khing beef and tofu (both extra hot) were delicious.
Ordered again and the rice was hard and dry. It should never have been sent out. Very poor on their part
Got food poisoning within about 4 hours of eating the food, lots of vomiting all night. Was from the sesame chicken. 12/5/24
everyone was so nice and great to be around
Worst thai food I ever had, had padthai and drunken noodles both were flavorless, meat tasted like is was boiled in water without a single spice, waste of money.
Got so called pad thai for $17. About to nuke myself a hot dog because it will be better than whatever this is. Literally not pad thai.
Great food and service.
Got drunken noodles with shrimp. Wanted it hot. Amazing. Best kept secret
We stopped by at the end our night out. We hung out at the bar while we waited for our food to take to go. I got the chicken pad Thai and my boyfriend had the drunken noodles. The vibes were just what we needed as the night came to an end and it was raining outside. Food and service were great! I’d love to be back soon!
Amazing food and amazing staff. Thank you!
Great customer service and delicious food! They were super kind and helpful when there was a mix up with my order which I really appreciated (thank you!). We love their Drunken Noodles and definitely don’t miss out on the chicken thighs ✨
The rice there was so good proton size almost enofe for 2 meals
Went solo and had the Drunken Noodles - Chicken (med spicy) and Sesame Chicken (very spicy). The bill amt excluding tips was $29.

The food here is phenomenal. Period.
Incredible food and really big portions. My wife ordered a mild and they got it confused with my extra hot, but she is powering through.
Taking too much time for delivery
Incredibly small delivery portions, especially for the price. The tray was just a bit bigger than a lean cuisine serving. I ordered the pepper beef stir fry and it hardly had any meat and just a few pieces of green pepper. Maybe I'm used to Chinese restaurants that give tons of condiments, fortune cookies and much larger servings, but my order literally had the small dish of food and that it's. This was my first time trying Thai. The food was just ok. I think I'll be sticking to other restaurants.
Fantastic place. Quick, friendly, delicious and well priced!!!!
The drunken noodle with squid and pork belly fried rice were bangin’!
So damn good
Very very good! Papaya salad was perfectly spicy (very) and the lao sausage was great as well!
A must stop in place for sure. Will never be disappointed!!!
Food is most definitely great! Very good customer service, very respectful and fun! If you like to have a few drinks and enjoy some food this is the spot!!!!! 10/10 must try again!
The bartender was cute
I love this place. Great food and service.
Danny the bartender is great. Fried rice is incredible. Highly recommend
Food was awesome, staff was friendly, and atmosphere was great.
Food was excellent. Staff went out of their way to ensure everything was 100%
Staff was friendly & welcoming. Everything was spectacular. If you like spicy food I recommend trying the chicken curry fried rice medium spice.
I ordered the chicken thighs with sticky rice. One of the best dishes I’ve had in Milwaukee. S/o to Odis for the recommendations! Will definitely be coming back here & this is a perfect alternative for late night eats. They have healthy options! (:
This is the best takeout I have had in Milwaukee. Don’t sleep on the sticky rice and mango
Great place.. I just stopped in to grab some pot stickers. They were delicious. Will come back to try other things on the menu. They also have drink specials. The atmosphere was pretty cool and laid back.
The Nam and Pad Prik are phenomenal.
One of the worst. I am here now and I just wanna cry because I can't eat the food they served me. Volcano chicken they gave me was just fried chicken and some Sriracha on the side. When I asked where is the sauce he said that's it. My combo fried rice is not fried rice. I don't know what it is but it's not edible. I would have liked to get what I ordered after waiting half hour for my food.
Had lunch with a friend, waitress was super knowledgable, had great knowlede of all the food. Beerlao was fantastic light and well balanced. Soup was a good "clean starter" i ordered it hot was very good. Fried rice with pork was hands down some of the best char sou adjacent pork i have had. Fantastic meal great aervice. Will be back.
Great place for authentic Thai cuisine
Food is delicious and atmosphere is great
love this place
Chicken thigh with sticky rice and hot pad Thai is my go to!! love their food
drinks were great
I just ordered some Take out food. I ended up getting half of my usual order for $15. In one container, they added half of white rice and half of the actual food that I ordered. It is not even enough for 1 person. What is going on? This is ridiculous. It is now 9:45 PM. I called, but no one is picking up. I do not know how to put up photos in here. I wish I can show how tiny my take out food is.
I wish i could rate 7 stars. Love this place, Salena makes it feel like home!
Best fried rice in the city, Selena is the best server in the city!
Sticky Rice is an absolute gem! From the moment you step in, you’re welcomed with a warm, vibrant atmosphere that sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The food is simply amazing – every dish bursts with flavor and is crafted to perfection
And let’s not forget the soju! It keeps flowing, adding a delightful kick to the meal and making the experience even more enjoyable. The staff are friendly and attentive, always ensuring your glass is full and you’re having a great time.
If you’re looking for a place with incredible food, great drinks, and a fun vibe, Sticky Rice is the place to be. Highly recommended.
If you’re looking for just really good take out, you will not go wrong. Not a sit down place if you want a dining experience but food is what matters here and they deliver. Also, great customer service.
Such a welcoming environment! Food was amazing and the service was even better!
Food was bussin and the server Danny was very sweet and cute.
Great food and great atmosphere! 10 out of 10, definitely recommend!
me and my boyfriend went for my birthday and we had selena as our server she was so sweet and the food was so good we had the egg fried rice and sesame chicken and egg rolls for starter it was awesome would definitely recommend everything we got also grape soju was sooo good we will definitely be back for more they mentioned they get a dj some day so we will back for that for sure amazing service
Beautiful atmosphere, kid friendly and economical prices.
I found a bug in my wonton soup which it wasn’t supposed to be in there. Not sure if the restaurant provides hygiene and food safety. Def not gonna come back.
Danny was very attentive when ordering food/drinks. Was constantly checking up on our group as well. Veggie Egg Rolls were really good as well.
Danny is a great bartender/server. Loved his vibe and customer service.
Daniel was the best server/bartender
This place is amazing!!! Excellent customer service. Great food. Drunken noodles with shrimp is my favorite!
Nice place to eat
Great food service and atmosphere nice little spot
Daniel was an excellent server!
Daniel is coooooooool.
Danny is the freak of the eastside!
This place is the best! The food is so amazing. You can't go wrong here! My favorites are the drunken noodle and the broccoli stir fry! Their tofu has perfect texture~ I appreciate their late hours. Nice spot to watch a basketball game, jam out, and chow down on the best Lao-Thai comfort food in the area
Dan was a terrific host!
Daniel made me the best Thai basil gin fizz. Also this spot is adorable!
Ordered on DoorDash last week everything was so good I stopped in today and everything was even better. The atmosphere was really nice and the staff was polite and very attentive. I will definitely be back. 10/10
Awesome place, awesome staff. I'll be back.
Amazing food. Was super good. Excited to see the renovations, parking is hard to find because the place is right on the corner of brady street and the street is under construction atm but would walk a block+ to get the food, had the sesame chicken @3rd spice level. So damn good 😩
What an incredible restaurant. Incredible food, excellent service, and amazing flavors. We WILL be eating here the next time we’re in town. 5 out of 5 stars on everything. EAT HERE!!!
*updated*
Been a fan since the Riverwest location, used to love this spot. They have gone significantly down hill. Quality and service is very poor.
Roast Pork Fried Rice is amazing! However, if you're sensitive to heat, stick to "no spice" or "mild". They definitely use authentic Thai spice levels.
2 stars. It was ok
We were passing through town and Googled Thai options. We arrived with two kids on a day that happened to be part of a big local pub crawl, so very busy. They went out of their way to help us feel welcomed. The kitchen was a little backed up due to the event, but the food and service were spectacular. Reminded us of pre-kid trips to Thailand. Check them out.
Mostly a takeout place but I decided to get some dine-in food here. Honestly not a place I would recommend sitting down in. The way the door opens, it brings in a lot of cold air and is a bit uncomfortable. It's akin to a fast-food restaurant on the inside.
Overall the food is great, especially these wings!
The food is amazing! If you plan on eating there you might wait a while but if you order ahead take out is easier because they can get busy. fantastic service.
Sticky Rice in Milwaukee on Brady Street is a cute little joint. Seems like it's popular for take out as we saw many people order to go as we're dined in. They have a nice bar but we didn't try any drinks yet. Today we order their Lao sausage, beef laab and drunken noodles with chicken. My sister ordered their tum yum soup too. So two out of the four dishes were good. We like the drunken noodles. It had good flavor and the spice level was perfect for me. We got medium spice level. The Lao sausage was good too. If you like the Lemongrass flavor. It also had a little kick to it. The tum yum and beef laab were a little bland though.
Cute Thai restaurant with some fusion. Food wise we started off with the Tom Yum Soup with chicken, Lao Sausage. I’d have to say the Lao Sausage was full of flavor - would recommend to eat with rice.
Next we ordered the drunken noodle and the beef laab. Laab is something I feel where everyone can make it to their liking. I felt that the Laab was a little over powered on the mint and it didn’t give much savory sour taste that I’m use to. Overall pretty decent but we felt that adding lime or maybe fish sauce would live it up a bit.
Overall good experience-certainly seemed more of a take out than dine in scene.
Love the curry here. While the relocation to Brady St has made it a little further from home, they've done well with the increase in space and dining area.
Must stop every time in MKE
I wanted to love this based off reviews however this food did not taste authentic at all.
The Tom yum soup had way too many pieces of lemongrass yet It had no lemony flavor. I had to add my own lime juice in It.
The pad see ew had no flavor
At all either.
The restaurant itself
Seems like It has great service and ambience. The food was just very lackluster.
Was driving through MKE for a brewery tour and drove by Sticky Rice around dinner time so decided to stop. Best decision ever! Food, service, and atmosphere were all amazing. The people are great and the food is excellent. Would definitely recommend the crab rangoons and beef fried rice!
Sticky rice never fails to disappoint. This is the best fried rice I have had in my life. We came here 1 year ago today traveling for the holidays and it was so good we came back again. I recommend the Crab Rangoons, Fried Rice, and the Drunken Noodles. Overall 10/10 and will come back again. Service was extraordinary as well as the atmosphere.
The food so fire like fr I eat here at least 5 times a month. The shrimp fried rice is phenomenal it’s always a hit. I had the drunken chicken today and I was surprised it doesn’t come with an option of more than 6. Daniel took care of my order and made sure I had my soy sauce.
Volcano chicken was amazing and that’s best egg roll I’ve ever spent money on in Milwaukee.
This place gave me and my SO food poisoning. They only offered to comp our next meal. Not going to be eating there again.
This is not your typical restaurant style. They have a "pay before you eat" cafeteria style and it is very awkward considering they still serve you the food at your table. The place is rather small but we went during the day on a weekday. No one was there but us so it was comfortable even though the space was small.
The best part? The food. Wow. We ordered Pad Thai, Sesame Chicken (for our 4 year old) and Pepper Steak. It was all flavorful and fantastic! The portion was enough that we could take home for dinner! We will DEFINITELY come again.
Some suggestions is to serve the soup with some rice or rice noodles. Would love to order them as a main dish! And a regular restaurant-style payment. It's weird tipping our server before we even get served...no problem to him in the end though. Kinda disappeared at the end but he did a good job before then.
Very friendly people, took care of our nut allergies. We ordered 'hot' drunken noodles with 'medium' fried rice and loved it. We're definitely returning for more of their spicy food. Whole place is very clean and inviting.
Didn't taste authentic at all. Soup I ordered tasted like coconut mostly. Other stuff was just bland. Ordered 40 worth of food, not worth it. Save your money, anywhere but here.
Great food, good service and environment!
It was 🔥
Highly recommend the nam khao! Excited to come back to try more.
Very nice, very good. Nice friendly staff. Authentic food.
A quaint corner restaurant filled with character & omg the food is absolutely delicious 😋 THE FOOD IS AUTHENTIC, FRESH AND TASTY!!!!
Literally my favourite place to go in all of Milwaukee. The staff is always great, dining in is a good atmosphere, and the food is consistently wonderful! I always recommend Sticky Rice to friends and clients as a sit down restaurant or as a take and go place.
The egg fried rice is absolutely delicious. I don’t like veggies in my fried rice and so I usually pick them out but here I can just order without veggies. Best fried rice I’ve ever had. The only negative thing I have to say about their food is when I ordered the chicken fried rice, the chicken was really bland. Also they need to have more drink options. Other than that everything else is great.
SPICE LOVERS BEWARE! Come with your ego already bruised to save yourself from the painfully tasteful experience 😅 Absolutely loved the flavors paired with the extreme heat though, don’t get me wrong! 10/10
Some of the worst food I have ever tried to eat did not finish it I've had better chicken wings from the refrigerator section at Pick n Save the rice tasted like it came from Golden Corral if you're hungry I would recommend QuikTrip before I would send anyone here I was starving and it was so bad I could not eat it
Food was pretty bland, didn't taste that fresh. Not sure if it was because it was a bit later or not. Might try again
Delicious but beware - even a 2 is HOT AS HECK! Still recovering (I do like some spice)
I just got the desert; mango rice. The mangos are hard as an apple. Youd think theyd consider a good sweet mango vs a hard sour one. Their curry is good, theyre fried rice is hit or miss. Sometimes its just right but most the time its either too spicy, or too salty, or the chicken is just absolutely bland. Their drunken wings are not at all good. I feel like it was better before they moved, but even then it started to become hit or miss. Ill just stick with the curry from now on, each time i try something new, im always disappointed.
Ordered pickup, found two long hairs in my food.
Great food, great staff, fast and friendly! Will continue to come back!!!
Tom yum tasted like a packet of mama and almost no flavor. The som tam was salty as hell couldn't even eat it. Beef laab was almost flavorless. Sticky rice was done well but that's the only redeeming quality of this meal. Also bamboo does not go in tom yum. Never ordering from here again.
The food and the service are grade A+
They have an awesome neon wing photo back drop. That is such an eye catcher that can catch produce such flattering pics.
Will and highly recommend this amazing place to all my friends and family. I recently brought some leftovers (laab) to work for some people to try and the light in there faces and eyes blew up followed by asking for location to go get some.
Not a single bad review or issue from me. Will go back again followed by continually recommending as a place to go for drinks and food.
Loved the food,..
We got Thai Basil Fried Rice and Pad See Ew. Both fairly disappointing. The chicken was cooked dry, fried rice lacked flavor, and the noodles were flavorless and soggy. Broccoli had a bad flavor.
Edible but not good.
I was expecting a bit better. But it wasn't bad.
Really clean nice atmosphere friendly staff. My husband and I sat at the bar were greeted right away. We ordered two drinks. I had the blackberry Mojito and he had the sticky old fashion and beer. Prices were good food came out within 30 minutes. Food was so fresh and so hot that I actually had to blow it before eating. We will be returning during happy hour, which I believe is Tuesday through Saturday from 4 to 7 PM.
Love,Love it!
Portions are huge! You can get it as hot or as mild as you like.
Service is fantastic and the food is even better. Everyone in our party was very happy with everything we got (which was about half the menu lol). I definitely recommend!
Visited between lunch and dinner. Quiet. Staff very polite and friendly. Menu is small but good. My wife has been missing Pad Kee Mao since we moved from NJ. Nice to know there's a spot right down the hill where we can get it. Curry Rice is nice and spicy hot. Better selection of beverages than one might assume in this tiny gem.
If youre looking for dinner tonight go for sticky rice! It’s the best Asian food I’ve found around the east side. Shrimp pad Thai and orange chicken are great, Tom yum soup is soooo tasty, fried rice checks all the boxes.. the employees are very nice and the inside is modern and cozy. 100% go for it
Don't do take out. Ever since changing locations, their take-out service has tanked. I've had my order botched twice in a row now and won't be returning.
Our experience was pretty disappointing. We heard rave reviews from others and ordered from here at least 4 times, and we were disappointed each time. Tonight we tried the pad see ew with beef and the lemongrass beef noodle bowl. The pad see ew was very bland. The noodles in the lemongrass noodle dish were over cooked and soggy. I wish the fish sauce that it came with was more flavorful. We also tried the nam khoa. Other than the heat from the spice, it was was also pretty bland. I don’t think we’ll be ordering from here again. I might be biased because I’m Asian and have high standards, but my boyfriend is white and thought it was pretty bland himself. My main takeaway: it’s not worth the hype.
Ordered sweet n sour chicken and cashew chicken. Both were very spicy and items were pricey. No refund offered. I won't be back
Great authentic thai food. Lots of sushi and shashimi I didn't try. Sapporo beer nice, cozy but expanding soon.
The food is GREAT and the service is always pleasant.
I used to always have something good to say about sticky rice but this time I’m disappointed. I ordered my usual pad Thai mild and a volcano shrimp medium for take out. This is the second time that the pad Thai comes super spicy. I called to make the complain, the person who answered said that they just put the regular amount of spice for what is considered mild in the pt. For reference, the volcano shrimp was not spicy at all, so I think they messed it up, but they said there’s nothing they can do. I’ve ordered pad Thai MILD so many times so I don’t get why this is different if they said it’s the normal amount of spice. I feel they’ve changed since they close the riverwest location.
ordered on doordash. pad thai with chicken - 4 pieces of 2 inch by 3/4 inch of chicken. tasted like packaged, stale noodles, almost non-existent sauce. laab beef was chunky, chewy, nasty. no herbal presence, no rice powder. laab is ALL ABOUT TEXTURE, (finely minced meat), citric acid, (lime), umami, (fish sauce), and powerful herbal presence, (cilantro, mint, basil, etc.). none of that here. no shallots, just huge slices of palate storming red onion. either this place doesn't know how to make asian food or they know and just don't care. either way, sad and disappointing. that said, the egg rolls were pretty good.
I could eat here every night. Every single thing is amazing!!
Really impressed with the food reminds me of my aunts cooking. Only thing I didn’t like was that my shrimp for my shrimp fried rice had the tails still attached
If you are looking for amazing, homemade Asian food, everything here is incredible! Im coming regularly from now on!
