Authentic Thai food with variety cocktails in warm cozy vibe
First time there tonight. It wasn't the worse I have had but wasn't what I was expecting. A long wait to even get drinks, they took our drink order the same time they took our food orders. Took a long time to get food. The atmosphere was ok, tables were really close together so it didn't feel to private. The food was ok, it had a good flavor but could have definitely used more flavor. The sauce was plain and didn't really taste anything more than Soy Sauce. Mt wife really enjoyed it though. Unsure if it is somewhere I will return.
This was our first visit to this establishment. We will have to go back and try this place one more time. The biggest complaint I have was the wait time (1 Hour) between the App and the Entree. We had the Summer Roll for an Appetizer. The Roll was wrapped a little too loose, but otherwise it was pretty good. I had Massaman Curry. The Curry was not very warm in the Temperature department. I ordered Medium for spice, so next time I definitely need to go spicier. The Medium seemed more like a Mild. However, the Flavor was awesome and I will have to try this again. The only complaint is that the Onions needed to be cooked a little more. The Fried Rice was cooked very well and the Flavor was on point. Overall a good place but the wait time for the Entree could be improved.
I love Sandee’s Thai Fusion! I’ve eaten in various countries, cities, and states, but nothing compares to their Panang Curry with fried tofu and jasmine rice—it’s one of my all-time favorite meals! I love that they offer the option for this dish, and several others, to be made vegan. It’s so hard to find good vegan food in this city.
Their mango sticky rice is another highlight—an absolute must-try. The quality and consistency of their food are always top-notch, with fresh tasting ingredients and careful preparation. Even their packaging is impeccable.
While it’s a bit pricey, the food is well worth it as a treat every now and then. I’ve never had a single complaint about this place, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.
Ordered ahead 1 hour and pulled into town. Downtown area didn't feel safe. Waited 45 minutes for food as people were seated, ordered, and served. Not authentic Thai, more like Chinese-American, not my type of food- very dissatisfied after traveling 400 miles and not eating all day.
Jan 20: Tried to call a pick up order + phone call would not go through. It kept saying that voicemail was not set up. I think someone left the phone off the hook. I went through their website and selected their online pick up: smile dining and it charges $7.54 service charge plus the prices were higher. I found out later, it would have been cheaper to select delivery option, then to choose pick up. Then there was no service fee. They should honestly take the smile dining off their website. They have the best Asian food. But management should watch service quality. The other ppl are outstanding.
I let the bartender know that the phone was off the hook. And she said I must have called before 4 pm or it didn't go through.
Extremely skimpy protein servings, on top of already tiny portions. I do appreciate the quality of ingredients, but most of the menu isn't really worth the price. Fried rice was extremely good though... if I have to go back, I'll just get that and nothing else.
Our server was also very hard to hear.
Ordered food for take out. It never told me a time that it would be ready so I waited 10 minutes and the drive was 12 minutes. I asked the hostess about my order she said, "let me check" she goes in the back and what seem like a long time comes out with bags but tells me my food is not ready. She does not give me an ETA. Also watching another guy at the table wait to be serviced and you can see that he was growing impatient. Got the food back home to eat it and it was more like fast food Thai. It was ok to good. They need to work on Service and communication.
Delicious food, friendly service, unique atmosphere.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT HERE!!

For $28, I ordered a shrimp and scallops teriyaki meal. The scallops were bay scallops, not sea, so hugely disappointed. They were very fishy and I wasn't able to eat them. The menu should have stated they were bay, not sea scallops. Also, it was mostly veggies. Shrimp were small (31-40 count, likely), and only 5 or 6. The avocado appetizer was fabulous! My hubs ordered Sandee's seafood noodle, something. It was okay, but it was not worth $35. Our server was great, though I ordered my food waaaay too spicy, and it took a while to get more water. I'll give one more try.

Variety of vegan options. Creative and good price.
Drunken noodles might just be my new favorite dish.. so many flavors!

Great place for Thai!!! Go early because they get busy. Service was friendly. Food is delicious!
Love the food and service!
Some of the best Thai in the area. Great for a date night location. In a town full of chains and bar food, this is a great alternative if you're looking for something different.
Ordered carry out and I waited in their lobby for over an hour for it to be done. They told me 20 minutes upon arrival.
The food was excellent along with the drinks, Atmosphere, and service. The girl waiting tables could of used more help. Friday lunch. I loved the Vodka mint Collins. 2 of my friends had a bourbon drink.
I often eat at Sandee’s and find it hard to pick one better plate. The curry with fish is my go-to or the nightly special. You can't go wrong.
The wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Sandee’s is a woman-owned business. Beer, the owner, is a woman of many hats. She mainly cooks along with her mother.
Reservations recommend.
Best curry i have ever eaten!!!! All of us, and there 7 out of 8 of us, loved our meal!
Hospitable service followed by the best curry I've ever had. Atmosphere is calm and comforting, which made the food all the more enjoyable.
Kind of disappointing. My dish had mostly onions in it when at other places I would get a better blend of vegetables. I had a single strip of red bell pepper. Flavor was OK but not as varied as Thai food usually is. I requested Thai hot for the spiciness, and it was super wimpy. Overpriced for what you get.
The food is tastes great but at $20 dish you should at least get a full container. I ordered takeout and the food didn't even fill up the dish; this is the 3rd time this has happened, first couple times I brushed it off so I had to leave a review.
Nice place. No lunch menu. The food was good but if you go for spicy and ask for a five spice level you will need a spice tray to get any heat. Our waitress was amazing and had a wonderful personality. I'll eat there again because there were some other dishes I want to try but it may be a while. Everything is an up charge which is too bad
This is the best meal I've had in Janesville!
Excellent food and excellent service!
This Is a gem of a place in Janesville Wisconsin. I saw friends I hadn't seen in 6 years there. It was so beautiful.
I loved sitting in the booths that were imported from Thailand. I loved the m curry at a spicey #4, but I definitely could have done a five.
The food tasted as electric as the feelings caused by mi novia que no está mi novia.
I'm blown away.
Beloit college kids, take your family here.
We found this by chance when I had a tom yum soup craving and I'm so glad we did. We had the tom yum ramen special and their new curry and both were amazing, plus Fawn (sp?) was wonderful and explained everything for us.
Loved this place! Great food! And our server was great about giving us suggestions!
One of my favorites
Very nice place. Good option for date night
Authentic Thai Cuisine. Need I say more? Of course! This is the best option for authentic Thai flavors in the area. Some options have a wonderful Indian twist, which only enhances the experience and dishes. The atmosphere is welcoming and warm. I can't wait to visit the newly renovated dining area.
We were EXCITED to try it because it was the only Thai food in town and we are new to the area. The restaurant is cute inside but it has a weird smell, a dirty smell… although it appeared clean. Our server was the best part of the experience. She was sweet, attentive, and informative. The kitchen lost our food order. Our server let us know but we were in a time crunch since we had a show to get to. My husband went up to the manager (who he thought was the manager, blonde haired woman) and explained that we would like the check for our appetizers and drinks but we couldn’t continue to wait for food. She got an attitude with my husband and our server intervened to say our dishes would be right out. We had to eat our food within 5 minutes so we could leave for the show. My dish (pad Thai) was flavorless and the chicken was rubbery. We also had an appetizer of chicken satay and that tasted like rubber. Maybe they use frozen chicken? My husband’s entree was mediocre. The server felt bad for our experience and took $5 off the bill. I don’t know… it was just a poor experience and the food was overpriced for the quality. We won’t be back.
Arrival time: 5:10 pm
Departure time: 6:45 pm
Was in the mood for some green curry and decided to give this place a try, unfortunately it was discontinued despite still being listed on the menu, settled for red curry and it was just ok. probably won't go out of my way for this place again.
Green Curry is excellent. Please bring it back!
Hours are incorrect here on Google, on their door, and on their website. Planned an evening around it being open, was disappointed.
We will be there again when we are in Janesville. Nice place.
We went there with friends for lunch.
The atmosphere is great and they have a great variety of food with various vegan and vegetarian selections.
I definitely recommend this place.
The food was AMAZING! I was just there and I need more already. My husband and I enjoy trying new resturants and rarely go to the same place twice but we have been to Sandee's twice already and are looking at going back again. My husband enjoys spicy while I do not and there are plenty of options for us both. Staff is attentive and knowledgeable, able to answer any questions we had about the menu. We have reccomended to numerous friends and family which we rarely do with resturants now days. If it isn't already, put this resturant on your "must try" list.
It’s so rare to have a perfect experience these days but holy smokes this place did it! I didn’t even have to spend an arm and a leg 🤣 We were with our 3 month old, the place is super family friendly.
I ordered the Kow Soi. The flavors were wonderfully balanced with the spicy Thai chilis. Served hot and fresh! Ordered and had food within only 10 minutes possibly? Again, wonderful experience.
Paired with more than reasonable pricing, we went for lunch and almost came back for dinner.
Thank you!!
Very good food and service with a nice interior
Very authentic thai . Amazing that this is in janestucky! Great find , me and my kids will be back again multiple times! I would give it 6 stars if I could... that good
La comida es buena, buen ambiente, buena atencion y precios regulares
Love it the food was great the Duck Dinner and the Grouper dinner was amazing and the Drinks were good. Can’t wait to go again .
I have been wanting to come here for a long time! Finally got to enjoy some delicious Thai food. I met the owner in downtown Beloit a while back and have been trying to make it out. We had a great time. Service was great, the food was delicious. Can’t go wrong with any choices of the menu.
Great food! Great drinks! Great service! Will definitely be back.
Loved the service! Daylena was our server. The food was great. The music was just a little loud but the rest of the atmosphere was great.
The food here is fresh and amazing! The in person experience is a little slow, around 1 hour for a table of 4 to receive the food. I have also done take out and that send to be faster.
Also the heat scale from 1 - DEATH(5) is crazy! I like heat, but apparently I can't take Thai heat. I stick to a 1 and if I'm feeling crazy I will go for a 2.
Good food. Good service. The mixed drinks were good! They also take reservations.
Cozy and nicely decorated as if you were invited to someone's home
Our go to for curry in Janesville. The massaman (hot) is my favorite.
this is a beautiful restaurant! excellent service and incredible food! even the bathroom smells nice. 😋
We placed our order online and received both an email and text confirmation. When we arrived to pick up our order at the recommended time, we were told that the hostess never confirmed the order and that I would need to wait an additional 20-minutes for my meal. The gentlemen at the desk explained that the hostess failed to hit the accept button when the order was received. He not offer a discount for the inconvenience, which would have been appropriate.
My advice would be to avoid using their online ordering system.
This is my wife's favorite restaurant. They serve great food and we have always been able to get a seat. Very friendly to vegetarians and vegans.
Tom Yum Soup is great. Huge portions. Friendly helpful service.
Courteous staff and very savory food.
We weren’t sat for the first 15 minutes we walked in, even when there were at least 3 servers, and 4 open tables that weren’t cleaned yet. It was a small atmosphere and wasn’t very busy but we didn’t even get waters or a drink order to start; we waited 12 more minutes before we decided to leave.
Food was good, but salty. Not enough of it for the price,
Delicious food with great service.
Had the chicken and fried rice. It was very good.
We used to like this restaurant but the last 2 times we have gone the food has been over cooked and when we dined in the service was awful. We will not be back, especially with how expensive it was.
Never miss the opportunity to eat here. The Pad Prik Pow with chicken and jasmine rice is the way to go, go ahead and try their avacado roll while you wait.
So glad they are Sandee's is back open for lunch!
The food was delicious in flavor but the pad se eiw was unfortunately overcooked and soft. The curry was amazing! The waitresses were kind and bubbly, but pretty distracted with eachother which left them unaware that we were missing silverware/napkins, and forgetting water refills when we were the only ones in the restaurant. We managed with some chopsticks once food was delivered, and just made sure to be very careful not to get any food on our faces, and it is the only reason I'm giving a 4. Overall I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere and would recommend it.
First time visiting, we will be back again
Back
Sat at the table next to the window. Windows was filthy, floor was filthy and service was poor. Will not eat there again. Cleanliness is utmost for a restaurant. If it is this dirty where customers eat I can not imagine what the kitchen looks like.
This food was EVERYTHING! Thai spicy for the win!
One of my favorite things about eating here is that my kids love it. They are really picky eaters but this has been great at getting them to try new things.
Came in with a very large party and they accommodated us well. Food came out fairly quickly. All of our dishes were outstanding. Highlights were the spicy Pad Prik Pow and the grouper. Prices very reasonable and service friendly. A very solid choice especially for Janesville.
Everything was just OK. Food was not authentic as expected since the restaurant has "fusion" in its name. Waitress was quiet and didn't seem engaged. She did check on us once. I tried the pad se eiw. It was pretty good. Interior needs a face life and better dining tables/chairs. Overall, 3 stars.
Recently, tried this restaurant and it is now one of my favorite place in Janesville. We had the Mozzarella Balls, Avocado Rolls, Tom Yum Soup, and Pad Thai. I would eat that soup every day if I could. You can choose to get the Pad Thai not spicy, or spicy. If you choose spicy you can pick the level of spice 1-5. I love this restaurant and the food. Highly recommend.
Service was great, food was just ok. Mango sticky rice desert was the best part.
Tried this place for the first time last week, had no idea it existed. I got the Kow Soi I think and it was delicious! So cute inside too.
The food was absolutely delicious!! The servers were so nice. Such a calm atmosphere. It was a really great experience!
Very pleasant!! Loved the food !!!
Ticked the box. Food was great. Service was okay.
Great place for a date night, meeting up with friends or take out! Always a great meal at Sandee's!
A bit chilly, but the soup warmed us up and hit the spot.
Great food! Ordered the massaman curry with extra pineapple and was very happy with my choice. The peanut sauce that came with springs roles was excellent!! The pad thai was exactly as expected. There was a weird smell of burning plastic when walking in the front door, hopefully that was something temporary.
Oh and don't forget to get a thai tea!
Good food, but has become a little pricey since covid. In my opinion it's a little over priced, but still tasty.
Amazing food, super people, very helpful, great flavors. Tried new foods and was not disappointed! We'll be back again and again.
The food was very delicious and the pricing is fantastic for the quantity.
There are quite a few cocktail choices, and the Thai iced tea was perfection.
Love it! Soo happy janesville has a thai resturant. Ive eaten inside a few times, but i usually end up ordering pick up on their website. I have tried most of the items on the menu, but my all time favorite: chicken satay, pad prik pow, and a thai iced tea. Its sooo good! When dining in, service can be hit and miss. I've never experienced a problem, but I have a few friends who say their service left something to be desired. Overall, great resturant and fantastic food.
Really great atmosphere, quiet and beautifully decorated. Food was good too.
Quite tasty, service was excellent. Ordered my massaman curry 4 out of 5 for heat, and was expecting a little more fire. The Thai tea tasted a little odd from what I'm used to, and I do wish the sticky rice was served in larger portions, as I ran out before I finished my dish. Would go back to try more dishes if I'm in Janesville again.
Food is good but drinks are a bit pricey for my budget. Service is consistently attentive. I've now had the green curry and Thai basil and both were quite tasty.
Very tasty thai spot-the grouper was delicious! The front of house was clean, and the waitress was attentive and helpful with spice level suggestions
The food and cocktails here are delicious! I ordered my curry at a level 3 spiciness (they ask 1-5), it was certainly spicier than expected! But it was delicious, so it was worth the few tears. Our server was not very attentive unfortunately, but that is my only complaint.
One of my favorite places to go! Their food is always so fresh and delicious. They have a great ambience and the servers are friendly. This Thai place is a must go for sure!
Really yummy, had the avocado rolls which were fried(melted in your mouth with a crunchy exterior), I did takeout but the atmosphere is really comforting. Food was yummy, server was kind despite us coming in when it should have been closed. They showed us a lot of kindness despite us not deserving that. Everything I’ve had so far has been heavenly, I highly recommend.
Everything was fantastic!
Amazing food. Such a good place in small town. I wish they were in Madison. Great service.
Great food, one of the best places in town! We love regularly getting food to go :)
The food is fantastic. Unfortunately they get my order wrong every single time. I always do takeout. Twice they've missed an entree completely. This time they forgot to put tofu in my meal. They even wrote on the container "extra tofu". Very frustrating. I mean, the food is so good, I'll keep going back, but I'm definitely gonna be awkward and dig through the bag to make sure everything is correct before leaving :)
Our first time at Sandee's, the food was excellent, will go back for sure. Service was good everyone was friendly and helpful
Short staffed but all in all, very good
Best Thai Cusine around in Wisconsin
Really good food, I had the pad thai, and my date had green curry. I would definitely get either one again, especially the curry!
Everything was soooooo good! The only reason the Atmosphere is a 4 is for the price of the food the tables and chairs could be a little better.
This was a very fun place and the food was delicious.
Some of the worst tai food I've ever had.
Service was good, restaurant was clean with nice atmosphere.
My family loves Sandee's. I appreciate their sliding scale of spiciness: I opt for 1-2 while the stronger members of my family try things at 4-5.
Love their food! I'd eat there more but their hours are limited
Used to be very good but quality/portions went down while prices went up.
Amazing food. Very impressed with the chicken pad Thai, veggie curry, and pad see ew. Try the fried Thai bananas for dessert. You will not be disappointed.
You have to wait too long for the food
Excellent food w/ excellent service w/ great atmosphere! Volcano Duck w/ Shrimp has become my favorite.
Got seated at a table at about 6:05, waiter comes to our table at 7:27 saying the cook just started making our meals. Restourant was not overly busy, and several waiters working.
This used to be our favorite spot in Janesville to eat. Good food but terrible carry out service. Last few years we noticed our curry carry outs were about 10% lower amount then prior in the containers we used to get. Now they are in different containers and we are not sure the exact amount based on last years.
Ordering carry out has been very frustrating. 3rd time now this year 2022- email send states 35 min to pick up- arrive and wait 30 min after that time for your food. I know it’s a busy Saturday night but the restaurant is only half full and I am standing with 6 other parties who ordered carry out and we all have been standing here for 30 min. Sandee needs to update they estimate time and stop putting out generic times of 35 Min and then forcing customers for Carry out to sit and wait since they can’t actually remotely complete original estimated. Talked to front worker and got “it’s automatic” and didn’t appear to care when I asked they change it so customers stop coming and waiting half an hour.
The food is not worth the hassle. We ordered takeout and were told it would be about 40 minutes. Over an hour and twenty minutes later, we still did not have our food. At that point we were out of patience and said we’d take whatever was ready and forget the rest. Turned out NOTHING a was ready so we just left and absolutely will NOT be back. If the place had been honest about the wait time it would have been one thing, but don’t screw up our night by taking double the amount of time promised.
The "teen" wait staff is very unfriendly, for the menu and environment...could be a much more amazing place with better servers.
Yummy! Great atmosphere!
Intimate setting with consistently delicious food and cocktails. I love the Thai iced tea, Blooming lotus cocktail, Pad Prik Pow w/ chicken, fried banana desert w/ dipping sauce on the side 🤩
My compliments to the chef👏
Good atmosphere ! Good service provided by friendly waitress !
A little bit pricey but worth the experiences !
Food was good but very expensive, not many custmers hardly saw wait staff. good place for a treat, unless you have deep pockes.
I live for sandee's platter!!!! The avocado rolls are amazing the fried rice balls OMG. Best noodles in town as well
Food is good
The food is decent for a restaurant in Janesville. However if I ever go back it would be for take out only. The service is the worst I have ever had in a restaurant. I've better service in a busy McDonald's. I was so looking forward to this restaurant and that was ruined by the poor service that just brushed it off as being "busy" most of the hour we were there, there were only two other tables and a third shortly before we left.
There were two other tables full when we had shown up. We sat down and the waitress didn't even introduce herself. We were brought room temp water after being there for 10 minutes while everyone else had ice water at their tables. Another couple came in 10 minutes after us and we're waited on hand and foot. We ordered spring rolls as appetizers, a dragon roll, egg drop soup and green curry. The spring rolls came out the same time the couple that ordered 10 minutes after us had their dragon roll and was immediately asked if they needed chop sticks and soy sauce. 20 minutes later our entrees had shown up and they completely ignored our water needs. Also completely disregarded the fact that my wife needed chops sticks TO EAT HER SUSHI. 20 more minutes and they came to ask about her water after flagging her down. Finally brought her chopsticks when she asked for a box.
When she made the comment about how now she can finally eat her dinner. They just laughed in her face.
Not to mention Don't Order Door Dash. They had 4 Dashers show up and told them they have to cancel because "we can't get ahold of door dash to cancel our contract.".
The food was mediocre Thai food. It would be worth it to come back again if the service wasn't so damn bad.
Instead of getting even a half of an apology. We were given the excuse "Sorry she is busy." There are 4 tables in the whole place on a Thursday night. Not an excuse.
Absolutely delicious green curry, and the raspberry mules were wonderful. Beautiful décor too.
Great service and food!
Always delicious and filling food. Ordered take out several times now, and the taste never disappoints. The service has taken a steep decline for a while now. Multiple take outs have been delayed more than 25 minutes after I get the 'Your order is ready message!' Watched staff on multiple occasions ignore customers, blatantly not doing anything. Its disheartening, as the food is on point, but the staff isn't motivated. And I should point out every one of these poor service occasions happened with only 3-5 tables seated and 4-5 staff visible on the floor. The most recent visit it was almost comical how removed the staff was. Only 3 tables seated, 4 staff visible on the floor, with 10 takeout customers waiting and not a single staff would approach/greet a single person at the door. It was "forbidden" for them to make eye contact with the takeout customers. If you have the time, its great food; just be prepared to be there a while.
This is absolutely our favorite Thai restaurant hands down , food is amazing, had Curry for the first time tonight and I will be having it again! If you are thinking 🤔 of going don't think 🤔 just go, you won't be sorry.
Everything my son and I ordered was excellent.
The food was delicious - I loved their tom yum soup and Massaman curry, both of which I ordered with chicken. We also enjoyed their spring rolls. Had no problem getting seated on a late Saturday evening without a reservation.
The downside was the slow service. I don't fault our server for this; I think she was the only server working, and was also the one to make our drinks. I try to be patient, especially since so many places are short-staffed right now, but Sandee's would benefit from hiring more workers. The host who was supposed to bring our waters forgot, and we had to ask our server twice before she finally brought them (again, I think she was doing her best). Water is essential when eating spicy food! After our meal we grew tired of waiting for the check, so we finally went up to the cash register to pay.
Their spice level ranges from 1-5. Our server explained that 2 is a medium, so that's what I went with. It was a good level, flavorful but not overly hot. My cousin ordered a 3, which was also good. They don't have hot chili oil available (that would be a nice addition), but the server offered to bring over chili flakes or the spice rack for me if my food wasn't spicy enough. I didn't end up needing to do that.
I liked the ambience, and the food was so good that I'd come back again despite the slow service. They'd get 5 stars from me for sure if the service improves!
Me and my girlfriend sat down and the waitress took our order. Two groups of people had walked in 10 minutes after us and has their orders taken as well. They received their food almost instantly. while we sat and waited for an order of rice and a sushi roll. Probably the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced
Food and sushi was excellent. No complaints there. However, they get 3 stars because service was slow. We waited at least 15-20 minutes to get menus and water. And then another 15-20 minutes to take our order. Water glasses were water spotted. They only had paper napkins and not cloth. When dinners are $30+ per plate, restaurant should have upscale touches. I probably order take out next time to avoid long waits, water spotted dishes and paper napkins.
i’ve been coming here as a regular for a year now, some of the best thai I’ve ever had, meals are lovely, and the staff let you sit and enjoy the meal without interrupting too much, and so many gluten free and vegan options :))
The food is divine 😋
The food was good but they are very understaffed. The poor waitress was the only one there for an almost full restaurant. Props to her but it did take a very long time for food and drinks to come out.
Wow! The sushi was a great surprise! Might I say, the best sushi in Janesville at this time! I had the spicy tuna (of course) and the rainbow. Both really proportioned well and nice and fresh. Come check it out!! Great to have sushi downtown.
