Informal stop serving Thai fare in a green-&-yellow space accented with thatch & bamboo partitions.
Got the food Togo and unfortunately had to let it sit due to the long car ride home, the shrimp pad Thai (not pictured) was very dry and terrible to re heat… really lacked sauce or packets. Got medium spice level and I didn’t taste any heat what so ever. The fresh spring spring rolls were alright at best … very little shrimp …sometimes they had split one into two making the pieces paper thin.. over all little noodle and veggies inside. This plus their steep prices makes me honestly not want to come back…
We were craving for Thai foods, so decided to come here based on Google reviews. This place did not disappoint! It is right across the Woodinville Village area. We ordered two soups (there are only two soups on the menu). The one with coconut milk was excellent: sour, hot and creamy. I like the other tom yum soup too but it is a little bit sweeter. We ordered seafood mix and chicken for each soup and were pleasantly surprised they added big scallops to the seafood!
We also ordered one appetizer (drinking beef which is huge!). We shared one main dish The curry roasted duck. The duck is juicy with a crispy layer of skin. We asked for mild but the red coconut base is a bit spicier than I thought. Still an excellent dish!
My daughter and I happened upon this place by accident. Looking for Thai in the area but this off the beaten path location surprised us. It's really nice inside and I have to say - some of the nicest decorations I've seen before in a Thai restaurant. Food service was close to immediate and we loved everything we ordered. I am excited to head back there and try new menu items. Not overpriced and good portions. Normally I would have made two meals out of it but we were famished and ate it all. Plenty of parking.
The food at this Thai restaurant is excellent. The ambiance was pleasant, and service was generally attentive.
However, we had an issue with the tipping policy. We weren’t informed that the gratuity was already included in the bill. Only after we paid and added an additional tip did we realize we had tipped twice. While we understand that automatic gratuity is sometimes added, it would have been courteous—and transparent—for the staff to notify us beforehand.
This miscommunication left a sour note on an otherwise enjoyable dining experience. If you plan to visit, double-check your bill before tipping! Great food, but I hope they improve their communication about this policy.
My tom yum noodle soup was salty but with little actual flavor. The bean noodle dish has zero flavor. Pretty sure it was just oil... The eggplant was good. I CANT believe I spent $60 on this garbage... Yuck.
I strongly advise against using their catering services. My wife’s order, which was over $500, was completely ruined. Instead of using proper containers, they packed all the soups and curries in cheap aluminum foil baking pans, which cost at most a dollar. These were then covered with stretch film and placed in flimsy paper trays. This poor packing resulted in spills that caused significant damage to my car and clothes. Their lack of professionalism and attention to detail is evident, and they clearly do not have the qualifications for catering.
Food is good but no way should I have to add rice for a curry dish.

Surprisingly in authentic Thai flavours, always very delicious! อร่อย
We love to come here. Friendly service and nice atmosphere. We love their sai aua, larb gai, papaya salad, roasted duck curry. Thank you!!
Food was yummy but waitress was rude and seemed annoyed.
My fav place to get Thai fried rice(with seafood combo). My friend and I would always have lunch here whenever we’re in Woodinville. Sometimes we dine in, sometimes we just do take out. I would say the food is pretty consistent in terms of taste.
Waiters/waitresses are always kind and friendly, except for this one lady yesterday. My friend walked up to her to ask for spoons and she seems very annoyed by that. The waiter who served our table was very sweet and kind, he did apologize on behalf of the rude waitress.
This place is also very kid friendly. They have kids menu, with cute plates and utensils. Juice boxes too!

Always seem to be improving on their food. Popular take out, but eating in is a great experience as well.
This is an office regular takeout place for lunch, delivery frequently and also dine in. They are fast, efficient and the regulars are great.. cashew chicken, chicken satay and any of the fried rices! Yes I recommend.
The food was really great.
The best Thai food in the area. For those that like spice this place is authentic, so only order 5 star if you can take the heat 😉

Skip the lunch special and just buy the entree. I got about a third of a cup of green curry. With some noodles and bean sprouts and crushed peanuts.
Excellent food, great peanut sauce. The food is always well seasoned and spiced. The Rama Noodle was delicious.
Best Thai food around! This place never disappoints.
Great food and service. Highly recommend
Consistent, reliable, friendly, and their rare-to-find country style pad thai has become an addiction. Irene Thai is a Top 5 Thai spot in the greater Seattle area, easily.
Impatient and rude waiter, however, she was nice to the neighbors, not sure if it is due to my baby or my race.
We ordered Tom Yum soup and Pineapple fried rice. Both could have been better.
The soup had a lot of good vegetables but was too sweet.
The fried rice had very little curry powder, so it was very bland. And the tofu pieces were too big.
Our family loves this place, and everything here is just so good! Been going there for years, best Thai food in Woodinville.
Small but nice, with very friendly staff. All the dishes are delicious, but the Phad Orange Chicken is a specialty not to be missed.
I have lived here for 11 years next month and sadly JUST learned about this closer Thai food option in relation to our house. Fantastic flavor, and with 4 trips there this month, I haven't had a single bite that didn't deserve another. The location is tucked away but well worth hunting for 🥰

We've been coming here for years. Sometimes the food is good, sometimes it's not very good. We always order the same thing - Pad Thai and a curry.
The curry is usually good. The pad Thai is very, very random however.
Sometimes it's very well balanced and flavorful. Sometimes it's extremely sweet and inedible.
But on Friday night my pad Thai was... Naked???? No sauce or flavoring. I ordered spice level 2 normal pad Thai and there was no sauce. Just plain noodles and chicken. No spice or heat either.
My husband's 2-star curry was good and had nice spice. But it's like they forgot to finish my dish. Unfortunately we live far away and so I had no interest in making the long drive back to get it fixed.
I don't know if we'll be back. If you don't care if your food is flavorful, this place is fine. If you're craving something tasty, it's not a safe choice.
I strongly advise against using their catering services. My wife’s order, which was over $500, was completely ruined. Food is excellent here and quick orange chicken and the curry are my favorites.
Nice place. I everything we order was good! Fast service. Good place to grab lunch during work week. Lunch combo portions are pretty good. Kids chicken satay was very good according to my 6 year old. Loved their pad kee maw!! The best out of all. Yellow curry was very sweet.

Best Thai restaurant in the NW. Love Chang Mi style food
Great food! I was visiting from out of town, but I want to go back!
Great tasting Thai food, nice flavors. Everything we had was very good. My favorite was the Phad Talay seafood mix, ordered at spice level 5 (their spiciest), sauce was excellent and seafood okay. If you like very spicy food, suggest ordering level 5, which is still a bit on the mild side compared to food in Thailand, especially e.g. the green papaya salad which was very good but not crazy spicy as in Thailand. Service was very fast and courteous. We’ll come here again.
This is my favorite Thai restaurant. The country Pad Thai is delicious. The restaurant is clean. The employees are nice and the service is good. It can get pretty busy but I’m sure that’s because it’s so delicious here.
Excellent food! I got the Red Curry Chicken and Crab Delight. Flavor was excellent and ingredients were fresh.
Dumpling soup was incredible
It's a small crowded place. I ordered online take out and after 20 minutes I got an email that the order was ready for pickup. So I go there, walked straight to the table where they had take outs for pickup assuming one of them is my order. But after standing for few minutes the lady came to check my order and said another 20 minutes and asked me to wait outside. After 20 minutes I walked to check if my order was ready, but the lady was so rude and almost scolded me to wait for another 20 minutes. I waited for 45 minutes but when ordering online it said will be ready in 15minutes. They need to fix their online reminder.
Also there many people waiting at the entrance and it was not clear if they were waiting to be seated for dine in or waiting for take out.
It was Friday evening so expected to be busy and they were working hard to fulfill the orders but their behavior embarrassed me. Very rude.
I wish they had clear sign at the entrance so I wouldn't have walked in straight to the table.
Recently really stepped it up. Been eating here for a few years, really enjoying the small changes.
Good food, good ambiance and nice service!
Hands down best Thai around
Best Thai restaurant in Woodinville. There is lots of Thai restaurants in Woodinville but this one is top notch
Lovely people, lovely meals. Just keep in mind, "mild" can still be somewhat spicy if you're not used to it.
First time trying Irene’s as I’ve been craving Thai food for weeks. I wanted to try somewhere new and I want to go back to try additional dishes since of the three dishes, i did like two of them.
Parking: Shared retail parking lot
Pet friendly: No
Family friendly: Yes
FOOD – disclaimer: this was a take out order.
1. Kids Menu: Fried Rice (Stir-fry rice with egg and your choice of meat) $9.00: 5 Star - Off and on, I’ve been ordering from the kids menu as the “adult” items portion size is way too big for me (I have no self control 😊). I loved this fried rice! It was super simple but done so right. I’ve grown up on my parents and grandparents fried rice and it reminded me of that.
2. Kids Menu: Phad Thai (thin rice noodles stir-fry with your choice meat and eggs in Phad Thai sauce): $9.00: 1 Star – I never know there was a “country” style Phad Thai and I had to google the difference. Coming from NY and Vegas, apparently all the Thai restaurants I’ve been to have been the traditional style (aka country). The Kids menu is the same as the one listed as just “Phad Thai” on Irene’s menu which is what we’re going to say is the Western style for simplicity. I did not like this – it was overly sweet and too much tomato taste. Its probably one of the worse Phad Thai I’ve ever had.
3. Mango Sticky Rice (w/ crispy mung beans) $9.50: 5 Stars – mmmmm I could eat plates and plates of this. Maybe its because I haven’t had this is years but this is probably one of the best I’ve ever had. There is just enough saltiness in the sticky rice to counter balance the sweet, the refreshing taste of the mango, and the crispy mung beans on top! Heaven!
MENU/RESTAURANT:
Irene menu is pretty intense as in they have so much options. Its weirdly too much options for me as I feel like restaurants that have too much don’t devote as much time to perfect a dish. But at least I can say there is something for everyone.
As mentioned above, it was a take out order so I didn’t go past the “host” stand. I can say it was surprising very dark inside… and the location is somewhere I wouldn’t have known it was located unless I was purposefully going there. Its behind the Play It Again, in a very tiny “strip mall” that only has a few business…
SERVICE:
Since I ordered online, my only interaction was the “host” when I went to pick up the order. Friendly and polite but yep, that’s all I can say LOL
Everything about this place is good except for their prices, which I think is outrageous for a regular Thai restaurant. Hoping for more restaurants to emerge in Woodinville so that this place's prices go down to a sane level.
Their Panang curry was so flavorful. Can't wait to try their other menu items.
We got tom yum soup, padthai and yellow - all in chicken. The chicken was horrible and stale - stringy and had zero taste . I would not recommend this at all
Great pad Thai. Be sure to get the country version (they assumed I wanted American one on the phone). Tom Kha also delicious!
They charged us an automatic 18% gratuity for a table of 4. You have to be kidding. I would have tipped myself but having it added before hand is jut nonsense.
I ordered here from door dash and they were very understanding of my request and accommodating! Every time I order it's great taste and very fast too
We eat here regularly both dine in and takeout. The staff are very polite and the food is delicious.
If you order from here they are guaranteed to make a mistake and blame you for it. Absolutely horrendous customer service. Find a different spot. I'm amazed they're still in business.
First time going here. Food was really good. Lots of flavor and pretty good size portion. I got the Pad Kee Mao chicken 4 star. It is something I usually get when eating Thai food. The flavor was delicious but spice could have been hotter for a 4 star. For me it was more of a 2 maybe 3 star in spiciness. I would definitely go back to this place if I'm in or around the area.
Delicious food, great service
This place is great. Three of us were super happy with our dinners. Several vegetarian choices. I can see why it has such a good reputation. Definitely will be back, hopefully many times.
Very good Thai food and service
I’ve been eating at Irene since 2007. It’s my Thai food of choice, no matter what city I live in. The panang and pad prik king beef are two of the best Thai dishes you can get in Washington. I’m picky, and this is the Thai joint I visit with every opportunity.
I had the pleasure of dining in this week, and it was great to be reminded how good the service is. They were kind and attentive, even with my odd food limitations, and made us feel so welcome.
The portion size was disappointing; the takeout I ordered felt inadequate for the price paid. However, the quality of the phad se-ew was excellent.
Delicious!! The end-
Got Pad Thai, tasted like Ketchup spaghetti. Asked for 3 out if 5 spicy, got zero. Waited over 7 minutes for the waitress to come to the table to get me some pepper to put in it. Got Thai ice tea, it came in an 8 Oz cup that was 70% ice. Overall, subpar to bad experience
The waitress was totally hot
Excellent service! Good food.
I love Thai food, and this place has many of my favorite dishes. Very authentic and delicious menu choices. I look forward to eating here again very soon.
TL;DR: flavorful and fresh. Casual date spot. Yummy food.
Parking: small shared lot.
Atmosphere: small but fancy looking place. I appreciate the airlock entrance. Definitely a nice place for a casual date.
Service: wait to be seated, order at the table, you will be watered, check brought to you.
Menu: descriptive and has some images. Spice ranges offered is from 0-5 stars. Some foods, like the curries, cannot be ordered as zero spicy. Rice sadly doesn't come with dishes unless specified. Otherwise it's $2.50 (7/2023) for a side of white rice.
Khao Tom: something I would definitely eat when not feeling well. It's got a "chicken noodle soup" kind of vibe. A flavorful clear broth with bits of celery and rice thrown in.
Moo Krob: crispy pork belly. It was a tad on the dry side in terms of the actual muscle meat portions but the skin was indeed nice and crispy.
Green Curry: the least spicy option is still really spicy for my weakling tastebuds but it's not a lingering spice. It's a feel good in the moment spice. I love the freshness of the vegetables in this dish! Spicy with a hint of sweetness and coconut milk!
So good. The food is always good, they have a nice choice of spice levels (you can get actual heat!) I was worried moving from Seattle yo Bothell the food wouldn't be as good but this place is consistently delicious. We've tried the eggplant, crispy chicken, pad Thai, and green curry and all have been great!
Great food! Nice flavor and very tasty.
I love the spicy house noodles under chefs specials and the basil fried rice. We tried many things here, and probably the only one that is not really a good fit for us is the Mongolian beef. Tried that twice and never really enjoyed it. But everything else it’s delicious.
DELICIOUS food! Sake is served warm, mango sticky rice comes with a whole mango, spicy means spicy, portions are generous! Very clean and neat space, super friendly staff, good menu variety. There is no downside here if you're craving Thai. This spot hit the spot.
You know, this is a really nice small restaurant, it looks clean, smells good and the people there are friendly...
Updated review: I went here recently after not going for 6 months and the place seems to have gone downhill more.
Dishes are even more overpriced and they don't even bother to fill the container of take out for you. It's like 1/4 full! I cannot believe I paid almost $70 for 3 dishes and it was barely enough to fill an average size plate at home. Extremely bland and without much spice as well.
I may be biased due to the name, but this was a fantastic place! I had the lemongrass chicken and it was delicious! Also, make sure to ask for the mango rice when it’s in season! Absolutely the best!
Very nice to door dash drivers 😊
First visit suggested from a freind staff super nice and curtious to a point that they had closed and i wasnt even aware till our server cam over and not rishing us out or anything letting ys know that kitchen was closed and if we was gonna need a togo box.
Who would have thought Thai food this good was in Woodinville? If you usually get 5 star stick with 3. It is truly "hot!"
This place is freaking amazing. The phad Thai is sooooooo good
Taste was pretty good. Portion was small. The to-go container was about 1/3 filled
This is our new favorite place! The food is wonderful and staff is always so nice. I get the pad thai every time because it’s just SO good here. Highly recommend!
Orange chicken is off the chart. Interior is above average.
Great people great food.
Come here for good Thai! Mango sticky rice portions are small.
I typically head to Thai Woodinville nearby, but given their waiters weird attitude on when the last seating is ("it's a technicality"), we decided to try this place out. They close at 9, their last seating was 45 minutes before, which they seated us since we weren't late, unlike Thai Woodinville.
The decor and atmosphere is good, new enough, and the servers are attentive. We ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice and Pad See Ew, while there's sugar added, it was flavorful. Consider asking for more spice if the food isn't up to your spice level (I had spicy level but it didn't feel like it until I asked the server for more chili!).
The only thing that wasn't up to dining expectations was the mango sticky rice, while very nicely made, the portions were too small for the price of $9.50. The photos on the menu used one mango, but the actual dish looks to only have used half. Perhaps it's inflation. Overall would return again!
Literally horrible, this is not authentic at all lol. Don’t waste your time, ants crawling all around the tables as well pretty gross.
10\10 recommend 👍 As a self-procclaimed Thai food lover, I am delighted to have found Irene's Thai Cuisine. The classic Pad Khee Mao was perfectly balanced with a sweet\salty and tangy flavor. This dish was generously filled with: green and red bell peppers, delicious bamboo shoots, sauteed onions, julienned carrots, a cooked but not mushy tomato slice, crispy basil, and baby corns.
The noodles were well cooked and sauteed without becoming mushy or too broken. Generous portions and the spice level (medium) was perfect.
You can dine in or take out. We ate in. The area was very clean and the servers were very kind and attentive while they were also handling lots of take out orders.
Their Thai Iced Tea is one of the best I've had. It's not overpowered with tea and the cream flavor balances the entire drink to be a delicious contrast to the spicy noodles. (Yes, you can order them with zero spice, as my husband likes it).
I found a favorite in case you can't tell.
I always get pick up or delivery from here. The food is always great and the lady at front is very welcoming and nice.
Nice people and reliably good food.
My favorites when dining in are the pork belly specials. Crispy skin and good flavor.
Fresh veggies and awesome fried tofu
Good food. Travels well for take out and delivery. Sweet chili sauce is really good. Curry is a little thin for my taste, but girlfriend loved it and flavor was good. Spring rolls exceeded expectations.
Combo fried rice: 8/10
Spring rolls: 10/10
Yellow curry: 8/10
Sweet chili sauce: 11/10
I have only had take-out. The quality is consistent. Looks like a nice place to sit and eat too. The staff Is very friendly. Can't go wrong here! A+
Fanrastic food. Wonderful service. Great location.
I took a good friend out for lunch on a Saturday. The food was spot on. With the exception of no thai basil. However, the service was impeccable. One of the nicest dining experiences I have had in a long time!
Always been my favorite Thai restaurant in Woodinville.
Very solid Thai in Woodinville. It's my favorite over the other two options in Woodinville over the last couple years.
Ordered a DoorDash of Basil Fried Rice, Country Style Pad-Thai, Cashew Curry and Panang Curry. Pad-Thai was on the sweeter side. Liked all the food. Got earlier than the delivery time. Opted for Level 3 - Hot and it was just right for us. Definitely recommend this Thai place.
Damn good lunch special. Gluten free options/friendly. Green curry was great, good portions.
Consistently good food! I highly recommend them. My favorites are their country Pad Thai and Penang curry.
*after trying all the thai places in our area this is our go-to now. Great flavors and dishes can't go wrong with anything really.
Overcharged!!
I ordered a noodle (no. 47) for dinner at Irene Thai Cuisine on August 6. The manu says $14.95 but I was charged $19.95 so I paid the amount plus 15% for the tip. Minutes later, I asked the waitress, a tall and slim woman in middle age, she said they put in extra Thai pad which was something I was not told beforehand and was not an option on the manu either. By the way, extra Thai pad would mess up the taste.
I was okay being overcharged for $5. But now I feel I need to tell my experience here just to raise awareness. No one would like to do business with dishonest people. I won't return to Irene Thai Cuisine anyways.
Ordered take-out. Got one dish with scallops and they gave us 4 whole scallops lmao it’s like $5 extra and they gave us 4…. Also the chicken in the pad kee mao was light AF and we got 2 star on each dish but it was more like 4. SMH
Low quality poorly prepared food. I have never experienced paying for plain rice (not specialty rice) to accompany a Thai entree. Portion sizes are questionable. In addition, all entrees were delivered in medium or small take out containers topping off only the over cooked rice container. YES, the owner(s) are in business to make $$, but the cost cutting avenues this establishment is using are over the top. The restaurant owners should embarrassed. Zero stars.
We stopped here after a bike ride and had amazing basil fried rice. Absolutely loved their Iced Thai Tea and Coffee both!!
In a region full of Thai restaurants, this is certainly one of them.
It's good.
Returned 6/18/22 and was very disappointed!! Spring rolls were cold in the middle. Chicken satay skewers were RAW in the middle!!! Will not be returning!!
Initial review:
Went for a late lunch. Clean, good service. Chicken Satay was delicious. The chicken was tender and well seasoned. The peanut sauce was perfect. Thia Fried Rice with was really good. Chicken Pad Thai was pretty too sweet. It was almost a sweet and sour sauce.
Great food! Never disappointed and always plenty for leftovers!
Good food, good location. The service was a bit rude this past time. Just to share, we asked for a recommendation for a zero star curry, she suggested the avacado curry and we ordered... but it was HOT! At least 3 stars and definitely not 0. There was no way kids could eat it, when our mouths were on fire. Told the hostess about it, and she basically said tough luck... That's how it is. Wow!
The food was delicious!!!
We love these people and their food
Excellent Thai food. Always consistent. Duck curry is delicious!
Got burnt food. Very bad testing. Ordered pad kee mao.
The Tom Yum did not seem authentic. It was very bland sorry.
Good.
Fresh nd very good food!! Recommend
Love the Thai Basil chicken dish.
Food way too salty. My wife got sick from the food.
Always delicious! We’ve tried many dishes from here and are always happy. My personal favorite is their Ba Mee Kiew Hang.
Probably the best Thai we have had in Washington.
TL;DR
Pleasantly surprised with authentic flavors and wok char on the noodles.
It took me a while to visit this place because I tend to steer away from Asian restaurants with western names :-) Then someone got me a gift card and since then this has been my go-to Thai restaurant. My favorites are the pad see ew and another with crispy noodles in thick curry (forgot the name).
Pad see ew has the "real" wide noodles and you can substitute the broccoli for Chinese broccoli if you want it more authentic. The wok char is great and the meat is tender and plentiful. The other crispy noodle with curry dish has complex flavors and remember to eat it with the sides of pickled veggies, onion, and squeeze of lime. Service is always friendly and fast even though they're always busy with takeout orders. I'm glad we have a good Thai restaurant in Woodinville.
I love this place! My new favorite. Conveniently located in woodinville. Always fast and friendly service.
Decent food. I always get Pad Thai and it became terrible. Noodles stick together making it impossible to separate them, and have to use a knife to cut them into smaller peaces. Customer service is terrible. They don’t understand American culture and how to treat human beings.
We got two lunch specials to go, panang and cashew curry with beef which come with phad Thai. We liked the beef in the curry but the phad Thai was not up to standards, the taste wasn’t there and it was all stuck together.
Something to call out is that there is extra charge for beef and we were not told about that when we ordered and the amount of food was barely sufficient which makes this lunch special not a good deal in the end.
The food here is fantastic. There is some inconsistency in choosing a spice level as sometimes a 1 feels like a 3 and other times the 3 feels like a 1. Also, there is an upcharge for including rice in entrees, which doesn't make much sense as the prices seem fair until you realize it costs extra for rice at which point it begins to seem a bit pricey.
Excellent thai food. It's my go to in the Bothell / Woodinville area
There was literally one small pineapple piece in my pineapple fried rice. Waste of money, careless cook.
We have ordered food from here for years. Today we ordered food for 8 people worth $150. Asked for spicy sauce and was asked to pay .25 cents for it. Wow! Simply wow. I am very very disappointed. So I guess when I eat at the restaurant and ask for spice tray I will be told to pay too? Mind you I also already paid for the paid peanut sauce that is on the menu. I am beyond disappointed. Absolutely stupid!
Nice to be back to inside dining. Excellent dishes, every item, thom ka, panag curry, country-style pad thai, all were excellent.
The best Orange chicken I ever had. Kids friendly and wheelchair accessible. The massaman curry sauce was very rich and creamy. The portion was good for the price.
Tastiest Thai around
One of the best Thai places I’ve eaten at.
Good food, appetizers are great but the pad se-ew i got didn't have much flavor unfortunately. It wasn't bland, but definitely missing something for sure. Asked for 4* (very tolerable to heat) and it was pretty timid, but a good gauge on this places spice expectation. Overall the experience was okay, no indoor seating due to coronavirus of course, but the initial setup looks cozy.
